FCW: FREEDOM for All (C-Verse 2020)

In September of 2007 Freedom Carribean Wrestling held their first show. A company founded by national star Puerto Rican Power along with Shawn Gonzales, the company was created to give the people of Puerto Rico a local company to watch as well as give a place for Shawn's trainees a place to learn their craft. It is an organization that has always been a solid mix of veterans and young talent that would go on to bigger, better things. Their product has always had a very old school feel of big fights that could get bloody, but also had showmanship which worked perfect for their fanbase on the small island.

The company has also gotten over two big hurtles that may have caused lesser companies to shut down. The first was the tragic loss of Shawn Gonzales that caused a change in leadership and affected not only FCW, but the nation as a whole. The company kept pushing on until 2017 when Puerto Rican Power suffered a heart attack that effectively retired him and put the future of the promotion in doubt. Power recovered and still runs day to day operations with current booker Mikel Jiminez who is better known as Handsome Stranger.

For Almost Thirteen years FCW has continued on and while popular in Puerto Rico they aren't so well known outside of it. 2020 has become a year where FCW has decided to show they might be the best kept secret in North America with simple, yet quality angles and matches that can appease most wrestling fans. It is less a push to become a large company that faces off with the big boys, but to finally gain more exposure in the USA and possible to Mexico and Canada. The struggle is dealing with said expansion while working with a decent, but not overly large budget while finding the stars of tomorrow to replace the current stars that are certainly going to move onto bigger, better things.

It is said Puerto Rican Power and Handsome Stranger both have been working on ways to get more eyes on the company and keep FCW operating while also being profitable for the foreseeable future. Only time will tell if their dream will come true, or they will meet the fate so many companies have met over the years when trying to grow larger and find themselves having to close their doors.

Since the death of Shawn Gonzales both Puerto Rican Power and Handsome Stranger have worked closely at keeping FCW a well oiled machine. The result has seen a pretty stable roster over the years with the few that have left usually going to larger companies. TCW, USPW and SWF all have at least one star that worked for FCW and even EILL currently employs a former FCW alumni.</p><p> </p><p>

Leading into 2020 the duo have been working on ideas to freshen up the roster while trying to keep their budget to where they are at least breaking even. In the case of Handsome Stranger he has went to the looking for talents in Mexico that may usually not work north of the border. It was an experiment attempted before that didn't do entirely well, but it has been close to a decade since the last attempt so maybe the second time around things might be different.</p><p> </p><p>

Also due to trying to work within budget the release of Fredrique ended up being a necessity to the company. While he provided two years of solid matches it was felt the cost was a bit too much. In general FCW are not against hiring veterans, but as of right now are looking at the cutoff of hiring no one over the age of forty-two. Also departing the company is veteran road agent Rico Santana who is possibly leaving the wrestling business as a whole soon. Handsome Stranger has started to take some of the road agent duties knowing he probably doesn't have many years left in him as a competitor. On top of that FCW are looking to add another referee and road agent to keep everything in order.</p><p> </p><p>

Finally it seems FCW is looking to expand the length of their shows. Often they have run close to ninety minutes, but with the roster it is felt that two hours is a better option. There is also rumblings of a plan that one show might be made a special attraction bigger than the other eleven they hold over the year.</p><p> </p><p>

FCW's FREEDOM Fighters is fast approaching and Puerto Rican Power has already said he has a big announcement to open the show as well as a few new faces appearing in the ring. So far no new hires have been confirmed, but it is said FCW have been in talks with two to four new in ring talents. It is unknown also if any are bigger names or new talents that are looking for their first real shot at a name promotion.</p><p> </p><p>

FCW has confirmed two new signings leading into their first show of 2020. Of course fans probably are a bit disappointed they are staff and not actual in ring competitors. That being said there is still negotiations going on that should be complete in time for some new faces to appear at FREEDOM Fighters.</p><p> </p><p>

The first signing is David Poker who was the head referee for Rhode Island Pro Wrestling from 2006 to 2011. Since then David has continued to work for various small shows over the years and continue to improve as a referee. With Ryan Holland working works for both PSW and FCW these days having a second referee to help take a load off was a must. Even more so given the length of the shows is increasing.</p><p> </p><p>

The second signing is The Masked Mauler VI who was best known for his work in New York City Wrestling. Mauler has been retired since 2017 and has been working as a road agent for smaller companies. With Rico Santana moving on Mauler was brought in. Mauler is a well respected wrestler who has been involved in wrestling for close to thirty years so FCW are very pleased to have someone like him now working behind the scenes.</p><p> </p><p>

FCW - FREEDOM Fighters - Let's get in here from Day 1.

Main Event for the Puerto Rican Championship

Handsome Stranger © vs Bradford Peverell

I am quite ignorant of FCW but I'm going to go with Handsome Stranger to retain here, most likely with the aid of some beautiful shenanigans.

FCW Tag Team Championship Bout

Relentless © vs Young & Wasted

I *think* one of Relentless had a run with ACPW at one stage? This is the extent of my knowledge but I'll back them anyway.

Open Challenge for the FCW People's Championship

Xavi Ferrera © vs ???

I remember being quite taken with Xavi Ferrera in a short-lived PSW game at one point. I liked him. I like the odds more for whoever answers the mystery challenge.

Other Confirmed Matches

Giant Brody and Bull Wrecker vs Ox Mastadon and Kip Keenan

Virtual coin toss for me.

Carlos Gonzales vs Hell's Bouncer

There's surely a storyline possible with Shawn Gonzales' brother. Eh... they are brothers, right?

Cobra vs Davis Wayne Newton

Cobra is the guy on the roster I know best, having used him extensively in the mid card of a lengthy SNP dynasty in TEW2016. I've seen Newton booked really well in other diaries though.

Kanishoki vs King Kong Kennedy

Another coin toss.

<strong><span style="font-size:12px;">FCW Presents: FREEDOM Fighters</span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">

Friday, Week 2, January 2020</span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">

Puerto Rican Power comes to the ring with a standing ovation from the small crowd. Even after the heart attack he man is in tremendous shape and still has a larger than life personality. He takes a moment to let the crowd quiet down before he speaks into a microphone that was handed to him.</p><p> </p><p>

PRP: "Welcome to another great year of FREEDOM Caribbean Wrestling and tonight I have a surprise for you. I promised a major announcement and I am proud to say as of this month we are a proud member of the Confederation of the Territories from now on. To celebrate this occasion we have visitors today. The Confederation tag team champions, The American Cobras will put their titles on the line tonight. Against who you may ask?"</p><p> </p><p>

The crowd does indeed ask who which only makes the large man smile in response.</p><p> </p><p>

PRP: "They will face The Puerto Rican Boys! Tonight they will show the best of what we have to offer hear and show we will not be a company that is easily forgotten!"</p><p> </p><p>

The crowd eats everything up. In all honesty Puerto Rican Power could read Ayn Rand and would still get cheered by his fellow countrymen. He plays to the audience a bit more and leaves so the show can start proper.</p><p> </p><p>

Bambino: "Lee Bambino and Cueball Lynch here once again as we prepare for another big night of wrestling here in San Juan. Big announcement there from the boss and a surprise no one was expecting."</p><p> </p><p>

Cueball: "A surprise, but if he really had the cajones he would have gotten the big boy here to put the World Heavyweight title on the line."</p><p> </p><p>

Bambino: "You are never happy. The addition to that tag title match means we will have four belts defended here tonight along with many other matches. I feel Bradford Peverell has to feel confident tonight. With Fredrique losing last month and being forced out of FCW it seems House Handsome is starting to show some cracks in the foundation."</p><p> </p><p>

Cueball: "Handsome Stranger is a smart man, Bambino. A little trip up like that isn't going to stop 'El Jefe' at all. He has had that title since April for a reason."</p><p> </p><p>

Bambino: "Yeah, because of interference from House Handsome!"</p><p> </p><p>

Cueball: "Nooooo. Because he's a great wrestler and always thinking ahead. Mark my words. He'll retain tonight."</p><p> </p><p>

Bambino: "We'll certainly see. For now we start with the first match of the night."</p><p> </p><p>

Cueball: "Oh ho, who is this guy?"</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Marco Gonzales vs El Hijo Del Neutron</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Fans don't know what to think of El Hijo Del Neutron at first, but after a few moments they quickly decide 'we hate this guy'. Not even the mask cannot hide his smugness and even worse him beating down the son of a Puerto Rican legend helps add some heat. Beyond that Neutron shows himself a capable luchador that blends brawling, technical and high flying rather well. Marco certainly has the lineage and looks of a future star, but he is still very young and learning. Thankfully for him Neutron does well to hide some of that greenness in a short match where Marco is mostly fighting under only to make a short comeback that is stifled. The new masked wrestler picks up the win after a Neutron Bomb that gets the fans boing him vigorously.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Winner: El Hijo Del Neutron</span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">

Rating: 41 (Neutron: 49, Marco: 20)</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

Cueball: "Hah, I like this guy. He knows how to really get under the fan's skin."</p><p> </p><p>

Bambino: "Beating up Shawn's boy certainly isn't a way to endear yourself to the crowd and he often seemed like he was toying with Marco at times."</p><p> </p><p>

Cueball: "Bring this guy back. I want to see more!"</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="hVx5Izl.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/hVx5Izl.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p>

<strong>King Kong Kennedy vs Kanishoki</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

If you ever wondered what two beached whales flailing against one another than look no further. Both men almost look like they may have gotten winded just walking to and getting into the ring before the match even starts. What the 'match' amounts to is the two big men hitting one another and slowly plodding about the ring trying to overpower one another. It is thankfully a very short affair as both men aren't very skilled or athletic and while Kanishoki hits the Sitting Samoan Splash to win it could very well be he got tired and sat on the winded King Kong Kennedy to take a break.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Winner: Kanishoki</span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">

Rating: 26 (Kanishoki 18, King Kong Kennedy 27)</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

Cueball: "Well uh...that was something."</p><p> </p><p>

Bambino: "Moving right along!"</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="hVx5Izl.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/hVx5Izl.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p>

<strong>Davis Wayne Newton vs Cobra</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Really after the last match things could only go up and indeed it did. DWN and Cobra are both much more mobile (and talented) than the previous two competitors and they put on a good match. One that could have perhaps been a slight bit longer, but with the time given they still manage to get in a nice little back and forth match that saw Davis Wayne Newton come out on top. He locks Cobra into the STF right in the middle of the ring and after some fighting Cobra can do nothing but tap out.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Winner: Davis Wayne Newton</span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">

Rating: 47 (Davis Wayne Newton 46, Cobra 37)</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

Cueball: "Great win from Newton. Kid is going places."</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Relentless © vs Young & Wasted</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Relentless put their titles on the line for the first time since winning them in November. Sure it took almost all of House Handsome to help them beat Kip Keenan and Bradford Peverell, but both Rob and Ramone are talented enough to win matches on their own. Of course that doesn't mean that they will. Young & Wasted have been around a bit under a year and are showing they have potential. They have done well enough to earn their first title shot tonight. What they do lack is they are indeed young (though thankfully not wasted....hopefully) and are more prone to make mistakes. Mistakes the champs capitalize on often and keep control of the match for the majority of it with the challengers getting a few brief flurries of offense in. Rob Reynolds manages to hit Taylor Norton with his Real Deal Rocker and pick up a surprisingly clean win.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Winners: Relentless (Defenses: 1)</span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">

Rating: 38 (Rob Reynolds 40, Ricochet Ramone 35, Bret Kyle 29, Taylor Norton 26)</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

The champs are slapping one another on the back and looking pleased with a loud 'Yoooooooo!' is heard and two individuals make their presence known.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="chr1YBG.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/chr1YBG.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="mCIggCx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mCIggCx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

A non too happy duo of Rudy Velasquez and Hector Galindo strut their way out with microphones in hand.</p><p> </p><p>

Rudy: "Ey vatos, don't get too comfy with that gold just yet. After what you did to our boy Jesus you just started a war."</p><p> </p><p>

Hector: "Next month you are going to see why you don't mess around with the Latino Kings. Five time champ? Rudy, I think six sounds a lot better."</p><p> </p><p>

Rudy: "Heh heh, you know it. Get ready boys, better home the rest of your homeboys got your back because this isn't going to be a match. You got yourself a straight up gang war started."</p><p> </p><p>

The two Latino Kings throw up some signs as they smirk and back their way out as the champs seem to be talking to one another and looking slightly worried.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Rating: 36</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Bambino: "I think some of the members of House Handsome didn't realize that angering the Latino Kings was a bad idea. Why they went out of their way to attack the group and injure Jesus Chavez is beyond me."</p><p> </p><p>

Cueball: "It is called asserting dominance, Bambino. House Handsome is just letting everyone in FCW know who really runs the place and they got each others backs."</p><p> </p><p>

Bambino: "Well it looks like we aren't done with the House Handsome experience just yet. Now Xavi Ferrera is on the way to the ring."</p><p> </p><p>

Cueball: "And he has the big boy with him!"</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="hVx5Izl.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/hVx5Izl.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p>

The current FCW People's Champion, Xavi Ferrera, has a confident swagger as he marches to the ring. Of course it is easy to be confident when following close behind is the meat mountain known as Juggernaut Jones. Xavi keeps the big man from getting in the ring as he grabs himself a microphone and moves to the center of the ring.</p><p> </p><p>

Xavi: "I did say I would make it an open challenge. Which one of you cowards is going to find the courage to face me? Ox Mastadon? Mutant? Kip Keenan?"</p><p> </p><p>

There is a pause as he grins. Of course he fails to mention two of those names are already prepping for a match and it is unknown if Mutant is even in the building.</p><p> </p><p>

Xavi: "No? None of you. I didn't think so. I guess when you are as good as me it has to be expected that-"</p><p> </p><p>

He is cut off because someone does come out. It is a perplexed look from Xavi because the man that comes out is not a familiar face.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="jYu8na6.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/jYu8na6.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p>

<em><span style="font-size:8px;">Or mask in this case</span></em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

He's a thick, muscular man that has a physique every bit as impressive as Xavi and he seems unintimidated by Jones as the two stare one another down. Xavi tells Jones to move aside and let the masked man in as he just smirks.</p><p> </p><p>

Xavi: "I don't know who you are, but you are a brave one. What do you have to say?"</p><p> </p><p>

???: "I'm Doctor Tecnico and I believe it is time for your dental appointment."</p><p> </p><p>

Xavi: "Waa-OWW!"</p><p> </p><p>

That is when a surprised Xavi takes a bit punch to the jaw and the match starts off!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Xavi Ferrera with Juggernaut Jones vs Doctor Tecnico</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

A second masked man makes an impact tonight with Doctor Tecnico bringing the fight to Xavi. Unlike El Hijo Del Neutron the good doctor seems well more versed in the technical side of wrestling and uses his thick, muscular body to just smother Xavi who isn't exactly a small man himself. Xavi does sell well for the Doctor and it seems the new face might have a chance at winning this match. That is until a distraction from Xavi allows Jones to get a nice sneak attack in that staggers the doctor enough for Xavi to take advantage. He plants Doctor Tecnico in the ring them finishes him off with the High Impact Frog Splash.</p><p> </p><p>

Bambino: "It is a pretty punchable face to be fair. Xavi of course retains by the top rule of House Handsome. Win by any means necessary."</p><p> </p><p>

Cueball: "Well it is a rule that works, Bambino. They have all the titles don't they?"</p><p> </p><p>

Bambino: "For now. We'll see how long that lasts because they have managed to anger a majority of the roster."</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The American Cobras © vs The Puerto Rican Boys</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

It probably doesn't matter who would be defending the titles tonight. Given the fact The Puerto Rican boys are involved almost anyone would get booed out of the building. Not that the Cobras care. What they care is they are the three time champions and they aren't looking to let their third reign be a short one. All four men are going all out here to get the crowd worked up. Kid San Juan is the face in peril for much of the match until Apollo gets the hot tag. Apollo uses his impressive strength to toss the champs around and get the momentum on their side. They continue the pressure and are leaving the Cobras reeling. Island Boy Apollo press slams Storm Spillane out of the ring before he and Kid San Juan put away Marvel Malloy with Welcome to the Island. We have new champs!</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Winners and NEW champions: The Puerto Rican Boys (First Reign)</span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">

Cueball: "Impressive I guess. I suppose it is at least House Handsome have a chance to get more gold now."</p><p> </p><p>

Bambino: "Are you serious? You aren't excited about this at all?"</p><p> </p><p>

Cueball: "Excited that maybe Handsome Stranger and Xavi can take those titles!"</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Carlos Gonzales vs Hell's Bouncer</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

The two veterans have faced off many a time over the years at this point and really match rarely deviates from a simple formula. There is a lot of punching, kicking and little in the ways of finesse as the two just engage in a brawl that is at least easier on the eyes than the previous brawl since both men didn't get winded just by walking. It is kept thankfully short and as much fire as Carlos shows he just seems not match to the nigh unstoppable Hell's Bouncer who takes Carlos out with his Damnation Drop.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Winner: Hell's Bouncer</span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">

Cueball: "I would have just stayed home if I was Carlos. I swear the guy is a glutton for punishment."</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Bull Wrecker and Giant Brody vs Ox Mastadon and Kip Keenan</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

One of these things isn't like the others. Kip seems to have gotten lost in the Meat Mountains and at least has found an ally in Ox Mastadon. Of course on the opposite side there is the fierce Giant Brody who is currently having issues with Kip and Bull Wrecker who honestly just likes to beat people up. One of those people is Ox as the two have been at it for a few months now. It is a bit of a chaotic tag match with Kip for the most part playing the part of ring master and keeping the match from falling apart into a similar crazy brawl like the previous match. Still it has big moves and a lot of beef in the ring. It all comes to an end when Ox is hit right in the face by Brody's Wicked Big Foot and is knocked right into Bull Wrecker who lands the Pancake Maker. The big bad boys win and now somewhere someone is wanting pancakes.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Winners: Giant Brody and Bull Wrecker</span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">

Rating: 46 (Kip Keenan 60, Ox Mastadon 48, Giant Brody 48, Bull Wrecker 40)</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

Cueball: "Now that is an impressive duo. I would like to see more of those two. They would make excellent champions and this time around Bull Wrecker wouldn't be weighed down by that useless Mutant."</p><p> </p><p>

Bambino: "Wait, what? You are saying Mutant didn't play his part in those two tag title runs?"</p><p> </p><p>

Cueball: "Barely! Might be why he hasn't shown his face tonight. He is starting to remember he would be nothing with people like Bull Wrecker!"</p><p> </p><p>

Bambino: "Unbelievable. Well folks, it is time for the main event. Maybe with Fredrique out of the way we can see a fair match."</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="hVx5Izl.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/hVx5Izl.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p>

<strong>Handsome Stranger © vs Bradford Peverell</strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

It is almost eerie that Handsome Stranger has no one around ringside like usual. Even so he seems unshaken and he takes the fight to Peverell who is looking to finally unseat the champ while getting his first title reign in several years. It is a good match which honestly could have been it not for the fact Handsome Stranger seems a bit off this evening. Then again maybe it is just him playing into the fact he seems vulnerable for once (nah, he is off his game). Things honestly are looking good for the challenger who is in control most of the time, though he often has to chase the champ out of the ring and keep him from trying to escape into the crowd. Of course the crowd is pretty crazy right now so it might not be smart to even try to run through them. It is at one of those times when Handsome Stranger has eluded Peverell who is still annoyed and outside of the ring. Doesn't help a fan is antagonizing him too. Ryan Holland starts to get distracted by the champ when the fan bounces the drink off of Peverell's head and jumps the railing.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="JYwR4HH.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/JYwR4HH.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p>

<em><span style="font-size:8px;">Surprise!</span></em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

The 'fan' Starts to beat on Peverell and hits him with a big DDT as the fans start to boo loudly. He moves away quickly enough that Ryan Holland never sees the assault and Handsome Stranger quickly capitalizes on things. He hits the Catalan Twist and gets the pin.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Winner and STILL Champion: Handsome Stranger (Defenses: 7)</span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">

Rating: 51 (Bradford Peverell 54, Handsome Stranger 46)</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

The 'fan' gets in the ring afterwards and hugs the champ. The two celebrate and then turn their attention to the fallen challenger. They start to lay boots to Peverell as fans boo and throw trash at the ring, though soon the boo turns into an eruption as....</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="RafpKUW.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/RafpKUW.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p>

<em><span style="font-size:8px;">Vrooom!</span></em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Mutant comes charging down and starts to clean house. Eventually Handsome Stranger and the 'fan' both escape as Mutant stares the pair down while checking on Bradford Peverell.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Rating: 54</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Bambino: "Dammit! I should have known!"</p><p> </p><p>

Cueball: "I told you, Bambino. 'El Jefe' is too smart."</p><p> </p><p>

Bambino: "That isn't being smart. That is getting someone to hang out in the crowd and jump the challenger."</p><p> </p><p>

Cueball: "And he still has the title. Notice how that coward Mutant doesn't show up until Handsome Stranger is tired out and distracted."</p><p> </p><p>

Bambino: "He is out there to stop a beatdown. What a horrible way to end the night. Hopefully next month we will have a better one."</p><p> </p><p>

Cueball: "This is just how I like it. House Handsome still stands tall!"</p><p> </p><p>

Bambino: "Something has to give eventually. We'll see you all next month."</p><p> </p><p>

Glad to see some love for FCW.

I have been a FCW fan probably since the 2013 iteration of it. I have to say though in 2020 the mix of new and old talent just interested me enough to give things a go. Been enjoying things so far.

I really got into FCW a while back. Their roster is really cool and there's a load of different directions you can go with it. Can't wait to see where you take them!

I have a few ideas on where to go. This is about my third time playing FCW. I was going to use my last one to start a diary, but I got derailed about 5 months in with 4 key people I wanted to use all putting in a 28 day notice and just took the steam out of that game. In june on this save and thankfully nothing like that just yet. This time around I'll just have to make it work!

FCW - FREEDOM Fighters - Let's get in here from Day 1.

Always good to have you around and hope you enjoy. It should be a fun if a bit bumpy ride. King Kong Kennedy is involved. Everything is bumpy with him.

Very interested in this project. I have a soft spot for FCW.

I'll try not to disappoint! But well work does pull me away for months at a time sometimes so hopefully I can get a few shows out and get things rolling before that happens.

I love me a Voeltz diary, especially because you are the reason I started my own diaries. If Doctor Tecnico is a recurring character. I think El Medico would be a perfect partner for him. (Totally not bias because they are in my ZEN file)

Always humbling to hear things like that. Glad to have you aboard and who knows. The doctor might need a medical assistant.

Good 1st show, surprised to see the COTT tag title switch on the first show. Curious to see how far the Island Boys will go now.

Surprises can be good! And I hope they go far because I have some 'PLANS' for them both. Muwahahaha

And to everyone else that is reading and has not commented enjoy the chaos. And to MHero. MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH

January Report

PvFKA2H.jpgZA8wYCW.jpg

The biggest news coming out of FCW is their affiliation with the Confederation of the Territories. Talks went as far back as of October last year with both Puerto Rican Power and Handsome Stranger making the pitch to let them join. As a whole it seems the alliance were pro from the beginning and most of the talks was the best way to present FCW's joining. The only snag to the negotiations was in December when Fredrique was released as various companies were looking to use him on their shows via loans. Even then FCW was in no real danger of being denied membership.

Much of the negotiations were also the best way to make FCW joining something of a big deal. It was agreed a title switch for the world heavyweight at the time was not ideal, but everyone seemed to agree a change in the tag titles would not be a big issue. American Cobras had just recently won the titles, but their hectic travel schedule has made them less than ideal to be long term champs. The change allows the American Cobras a slight bit of relief as well as offering the other companies a fresh tag team that most fans have not seen before. On a side note The Puerto Rican Boys are the first team to hold the tag titles that were not from the West Coast or Mexico. The last team to do that were The Ring Generals had a ten month reign that started in 2015 and ended in 2016.

Speaking of the new CoTT tag champs, The Puerto Rican Boys were pretty much set to be the team to win the titles once the deal was made for a title change. FCW knew whoever was going to be the challenger would be cheered and out of their face teams The Puerto Rican Boys made the most sense. The Latino Kings were more a tweener team who was busy taking on House Handsome at the moment while Young & Wasted were penciled in for a title bout against Relentless. The only other option at the time was Carlos and Marco Gonzales, but it was felt Marco is still too new to the business to deal with such pressure.

It seems like The Puerto Rican Boys will be busy too as the very next day they had to fly out to participate in NYCW's Rush Hour show that pitted the new champs against Richie Riggins and Devastating Don. It was a successful defense and work is the new champs conducted themselves well and put forth a good first impression. It is unknown how long The Puerto Rican Boys will remain champions, but FCW are hoping that it will draw additional eyes to their company while also giving both Kid San Juan and Island Boy Apollo exposure to other parts of North America.

wrYxl2y.jpg

In other news FCW felt the first show of the year went down well even if the main event itself suffered due to Handsome Stranger not having his best match. The fans were into what was going on and new faces made their debuts. It is said The Masked Mauler VI has settled in well in his role as a new road agent and David Poker did well for his first show too. Overall five new wrestlers showed up for the first time in FCW, but two were brought in for a tryout capacity. It is said Wild Red Stallion and Styx were both brought in to see if there might be a fit for the pair down the line. It is unknown if they will be brought back as of yet.

RAlhLjy.jpg

El Hijo Del Neutron who's uncle was from Puerto Rico. The luchador has made a few small appearances over the years in the country, but never for FCW. It is said both Handsome Stranger and Puerto Rican power were impressed with his first match as not only did he put on a good show, but he did well in carrying Marco Gonzales to a serviceable match. Neutron is an 8 year veteran that will look to further his career and if he can continue to perform like he did in January things should be looking up for him.

jYu8na6.jpg

Doctor Tecnico certainly made a mark in being the mystery challenger to Xavi Ferrera's title. While his performance was not on par with El Hijo Del Neutron it is felt Doctor Tecnico has a lot of upside and a good look. He is young as well so has plenty of time to prove himself and find a place on the card. He has primarily been wrestling in Mexico, but after a few meetings with both PRP and Handsome Stranger he decided to sign with FCW. It is possible he may even find himself in the tag ranks at some point as it is said Handsome Stranger is looking to develop some new teams in the near future.

JYwR4HH.jpg

The final man that appeared was certainly the biggest signing as Rayne Man made his debut in FCW as a new member of House Handsome. While not near as popular and well known as Fredrique, Rayne Man has some name value on the independent scene and is several years younger than the man he is replacing. It is expected Rayne will slide into the role of second in command and provide a quality worker at a much lower cost than Fredrique which was rumored to be making about 1600 dollars per appearance for FCW. Even without Fredrique House Handsome should still be a force and Rayne Man will look to do his part in making sure of that.

All in all January felt like a positive step forward for FCW and they hope to press forward with some new found Momentum. It is said that after the show Handsome Stranger had a few private meetings with some of the talent. Primarily it was concerns about the weight of some of the older, heavier wrestlers. It appeared to be a pep talk that most of the big men agreed that dropping some weight might help not only their health, but their career as well. If anything comes if it remains to be seen.

February 2020: Leading up to the Show

Compared to last month there is no real big news coming from FCW as a whole. It seems no new signings have been made. The CoTT tag titles will be on the line, but for the time being it will be a contest between the Puerto Rican Boys against another team from FCW for this month at least. It seems Puerto Rican Power has an idea of what to do with the pair and more information might come to light at the next show. Speaking of The Puerto Rican Boys, they made an appearance early in the month for IPW, but oddly not defending their newly won titles. Instead the pair were involved in a six man tag where they were on opposing teams. The match saw Kid San Juan, Lil Henry and Outlaw Wes Revell defeat Island Boy Apollo and Mexican Hardcore Killers in a tables match. It is uncertain as to why the pair were booked this way and the best guess is IPW was feeling out how the audience would react to both men.

Awesome opening show - nice to see some debuts, and the COTT is a great move, especially with Apollo and Kid San Juan getting the tag belts.

Handsome Stranger and Rayne Man vs Bradford Peverell and Mutant

I'm torn here. I'd like to see Rayne Man get a win on his debut, but I also imagine Mutant is next in line for the title, so a win here would set that up.

The Puerto Rican Boys © vs Harlem Knights

No need to take the belts off them yet

I think we get a screwy finish here, with the champions retaining. Latino Kings will get revenge down the line.

Triple Threat so you can protect the champ in loss. Laine would be a good face champion to go up against House Handsome's goons.

Keenan has a lot of potential, but Brody is a monster.

Main Event

Handsome Stranger and Rayne Man vs Bradford Peverell and Mutant

I think Easyragt is onto something here. It's hard to see any way to pin anybody without hurting them. The heels aggrieved at being punished for cheating in a chaotic finish seems a good way to wrap up the show.

COTT Tag Team Championship

The Puerto Rican Boys © vs Harlem Knights

Can't see another switch so soon. The Puerto Rican Boys could be a real feel good story for FCW.

FCW Tag Team Championship Bout

Relentless © vs The Latino Kings

Probably guilty of voting with my heart here, The Latino Kings have always been guys that I've liked the look of visually.

FCW People's Championship

Xavi Ferrera © vs Joffy Laine vs Davis Wayne Newton

I really know very little about these people... I'll stick with Ferrera on the grounds that I've at least booked him briefly and if the Tag straps change hands (fingers crossed) this one might not.

Tables Match

Giant Brody vs Kip Keenan

Hard to vote against a man called Giant.

Other Confirmed Matches

Cobra vs El Hijo Del Neutron

I like Cobra. As I said he's the only person on your whole roster I have much experience in using. I feel Neutron made a positive impression though.

Hell's Bouncer vs Kanishoki

Dante's Doorman is not to be discounted. I am learning some things already.

Tex Tagan vs Doctor Tecnico

I don't much about Tagan but I feel the good Doctor will have to take his time to earn his push.

FCW Presents: The Fight For Freedom XIII

Friday, Week 2, February 2020

San Juan Highschool: 291 Attending

hVx5Izl.jpg

j6vHpHL.jpgcMrLHcV.jpg

Bambino: "Lee Bambino here again with Cueball Lynch. After so many surprises last month I can only expect we see more."

Cueball: "It was great to see Handsome Stranger continue his historic run."

Bambino: "Yes, the champion retained once again do a new 'surprise' of his own in Rayne Man."

Cueball: "You have to admit it is brilliant of El Jefe to come up with that. Make everyone think House Handsome is getting weaker only to get stronger again."

Bambino: "I don't have to hear it from you. Looks like the champ is going to brag some himself along with his new friend."

hVx5Izl.jpg

ZA8wYCW.jpgJYwR4HH.jpg

El Jefe is here with his new second in command. The two are all smiles and seem to be enjoying the chorus of boos being showered upon them. The champ grabs a microphone as he gets in the ring with Rayne doing the same.

Handsome Stranger: "Sometimes it hurts being so smart. Every time they try to tear down my house I show I am a man with the plan. You make it to where Fredrique had to leave? Well then I find someone else who is more than capable to replace him. And tonight? We teach Bradford Peverell and that big lummox of a man, Mutant, another lesson."

Rayne: "It was an honor to be offered to be part of something so big. A great group of champions putting all the lesser men in place. I couldn't say no and tonight I'll show why I was brought in. Tonight will be no different than usual. House Handsome will once again show why we rule this place."

Handsome Stranger: "We hold all the belts for the reason. The rest of the boys are in back preparing. It doesn't matter if you are Mutant, Bradford Peverell, Kip Keenan or the Latino Kings. None of you have the power to stop us."

The pair are all smiles again and hug as fans boo loudly again. The smug pair saunter their way back out of the ring and to the back.

Rating: 58

Cueball: "I love it."

Bambino: "We'll see if they are still so confident after the main event tonight."

Cueball: "They have this in the bag. Of course they will still be confident."

Bambino: "It's time for our first match of the night and it looks like the Doctor is in."

hVx5Izl.jpg

jYu8na6.jpgHZxt8x2.jpg6ZEl8p6.jpg

Doctor Tecnico vs Tex Tagan

The opening bout is very much has an old school feel to it. Both are big tough guys that aren't exactly big on finesse. A lot of big strikes and power moves between the two as they both seem evenly matched. It is Tecnico that starts to gain an advantage later in the match and delivers some big suplex variations to soften Tex up and finally putting away the rough and tumble cowboy with a Gordbuster.

Winner: Doctor Tecnico

Rating: 38 (Doctor Tecnico: 27, Tex Tagan: 39)

Bambino: "After an impressive debut last month it is Doctor Tecnico picking up his first win here in FCW."

Cueball: "Still don't know what to think of this guy. He has some impressive moves, but his personality just rubs me the wrong way."

Bambino: "Because he isn't a smug jerk?"

Cueball: "That must be it."

hVx5Izl.jpg

NcsMUPh.jpgHZxt8x2.jpgFugWquQ.jpg

Hell's Bouncer vs Kanishoki

Another hard hitting bout with two of the bigger men on the roster beating on one another. That being said Hell's Bouncer is in much better shape and much more mobile than his opponent. Not that he needs to be much of the latter as he seems to shrug off most of the hits Kanishoki delivers before starting to punish the Samoan. It is a rather short match with Hell's Bouncer in control almost all of it then using his impressive strength to deliver the Damnation Drop and pick up the win.

Winner: Hell's Bouncer

Rating: 44 (Hell's Bouncer: 49, Kanishoki: 26)

Bambino: "I have seen Hell's Bouncer for many years and I always remain in awe every time I see him."

Cueball: "A complete monster and a former two time champion."

Bambino: "And I feel he could have a third if he focused on House Handsome."

Cueball: "Don't say such stupid things, Bambino."

Relentless © vs The Latino Kings

The pace quickens up with these two teams facing off. The Latino Kings are hot and go right at the champs early on and gaining the advantage and Relentless have to bail to the outside to recover. The match slows a bit after the champs recover and it is a good amount of back and forth before a missed dive from Hector Galindo allow the champs to capitalize on the mistake and work over Galindo for some time. Finally Hector manages to fight back long enough to roll under a roundhouse from Rob Reynolds and he tags in Rudy. Rudy goes to town on the pair as he gives Hector time to recover. Things are looking pretty good for the challengers until...

XgJ6ugr.jpg1lrx9Uw.jpg

Trouble trouble trouble

It is soon after Rudy tags in Hector as they prepare to put away Ricochet Ramone when Xavi Ferrera appears and makes a distraction. Rudy goes after Xavi to make sure he doesn't interfere but it distracts the referee as well. It allows Juggernaut Jones to push Hector right off the top turnbuckle where he crashes and burns to the outside. Jones tosses him back inside quickly as Reynolds tags himself in. Hector is nailed with the Real Deal Rocker and Rob quickly gets the pin as the referee turns about right in time to see it. Xavi grabs Rudy to make sure he can't interrupt the count as well

Winners and STILL Champions: Relentless (Defenses: 2)

Rating: 45 (Rob Reynolds: 46, Ricochet Ramone: 36, Rudy Velasquez: 51, Hector Galindo: 50)

House Handsome continue their assault on the Latino Kings who try to fight back, but are greatly outnumbered at this point. Then....

jAsG8T5.jpg

Big mad lad

Jesus Chavez makes his return to the delight of the crowd and he starts to take out the members of House Handsome. He manages to throw out Xavi, Rob and Ramone before he and Juggernaut Jones are facing off. The rest of House Handsome start to get back in, but Hector and Rudy have recovered enough they manage to clear the ring. The last member being thrown out being Juggernaut Jones who is send stumbling out of the ring after a big boot from Jesus and double dropkicks from Rudy and Hector. The Latino Kings stand tall in the middle of the ring as House Handsome decide to retreat.

Rating: 33

Bambino: "Jesus Chavez is back and the timing couldn't have been any better."

Cueball: "No way he can be one hundred percent. Not after what House Handsome did to him."

Bambino: "That remains to be seen, but for now The Latino Kings are back at full strength and this battle is far from over."

hVx5Izl.jpg

LWe10Ha.jpgHZxt8x2.jpgRAlhLjy.jpg

Cobra vs El Hijo Del Neutron

El Hijo Del Neutron hopes to continue to build on his initial victory, but standing in his way this time is a much more experienced opponent in Cobra. Neutron is up to the challenge though as the pair clash and he finds Cobra quite the handful at the start. Of course he is fine with finding more underhanded ways to gain the advantage like faking like he was going after Cobra's snake and at one point using an eye rake to gain an advantage. Cobra proved to be tougher than Marco, but the result soon becomes the same. After a bit of softening up the masked man defeats Cobra with a Neutron Bomb.

Winner: El Hijo Del Neutron

Rating: 49 (El Hijo Del Neutron: 46, Cobra: 42)

Bambino: "It took some questionable tactics, but El Hijo Del Neutron picks up another win."

Cueball: "I like this guy. I think he has a bright future ahead of him. I think House Handsome should bring him in."

Bambino: "I shudder to think of him joining their ranks. House Handsome is a big enough problem as is."

The Puerto Rican Boys © vs The Harlem Knights

This match starts off with Harlem Knights jumping the champs and quickly isolating Kid San Juan. The two big brawlers throw him around with ease and try to get a quick win. San Juan is scrappy though and he manages to kick out even after being hit with some big moves. It just takes one mistake for Kid San Juan to slip free and bring in Island Boy Apollo who is more than ready to brawl with the two Knights. The match goes back and forth for awhile with no real team gaining an advantage. It is finally Island Boy Apollo who gets momentum for his team as he impressively uses his strength to heft Harlem Haynes and toss him right into Curtis Shaw. Haynes is down and out for a moment and Curtis Shaw recovers just in time to get caught with a Welcome to the Island from the champs. Kid San Juan gets the pin and the champs retain.

Winners and STILL Champions: The Puerto Rican Boys (Defenses: 2)

Rating: 49 (Island Boy Apollo: 57, Kid San Juan: 51, Harlem Haynes: 47, Curtis Shaw: 37)

PvFKA2H.jpg2BI4KxG.jpgadgjxTB.jpg

While the champs celebrate their win Puerto Rican Power makes his way to the ring. He is all smiles as he gives each man a high five before asking for a mic. Once with mic in hand he turns to address the champs.

PRP: "Boys, I am so proud of you, but I also don't want you all to be complacent. I know you both are up to the task so I have a challenge if you are both up for it."

The pair look at one another and are quick to say yes which only makes the owner of FCW smile wider.

PRP: "That is why I picked you both to represent FCW. For as long as you hold the titles I will be bringing in teams from the rest of the alliance to face you. I am not going to be holding back and will be asking for some of the toughest guys each company has to offer. Get some rest tonight, you earned it. I hope to see you with those titles next month and are prepared for your first challenge."

Puerto Rican Power shakes hands with both men as if to seal the deal and the trio leave the ring together.

Rating: 54

Bambino: "Well that sounds exciting. A gauntlet of sorts from the sounds of it! Not to mention that means seeing some new faces here in FCW."

Cueball: "Mark my words. This is going to blow up in Power's face. Come next month watch the boys not even have the titles and he'll have egg on his face."

Bambino: "There is a chance of that. There are a lot of shows between now and next month. I am hoping they make it. I want to see who the boss brings in to face off with The Puerto Rican Boys."

Xavi Ferrera © with Juggernaut Jones vs Joffy Laine vs Davis Wayne Newton

A nice triple threat match featuring some of the best workers in FCW. A good mix of styles as the three men start to feel one another out and think of a plan. Of course for both challengers they have to be wary of the large Juggernaut Jones who is outside. For good reason too because through the match he isn't shy about grabbing at a foot if they get too close. It is a hotly contested match though with all three men getting their time to shine and while Xavi is a step behind the other two he still puts on a respectable performance. At one point Davis Wayne Newton is tossed from the ring and Xavi sets up a downed Joffy for a High Impact Frog Splash. DWN looks to get back in, but thinks better of it when Jones steps in his way. DWN backs down thinking better of it while Xavi nails the frog splash and picks up a win.

Winner and STILL Champion: Xavi Ferrera (Defenses: 3)

Rating: 53 (Xavi Ferrera: 39, Joffy Laine: 52, Davis Wayne Newton: 52)

Cueball: "Another big win for Xavi. The kid is going to go far. I can see his reign with that title to rival the one Handsome Stranger is having now."

Bambino: "I guess we-What the hell!?"

hVx5Izl.jpg

Dxun71v.jpgPhlfCrW.jpg

Chaos erupts as an unexpected fight ends up spilling out from the back. Ox Mastadon and Bull Wrecker are all over one another as they start to fight into the crowd and several other wrestlers along with company security rush to try to break up the first before the two behemoths manage to injure someone. It takes a lot of manpower to do just that, but eventually the two are separated and dragged to the back without too much damage being done.

Rating: 42

Bambino: "Those two really have been at one another's throats for some time. There has to be an end to that rivalry in the future."

Cueball: "That dumb Ox could have hurt someone. I bet he jumped Bull Wrecker from behind too to start this whole thing."

Bambino: "I doubt that. Both men just don't like one another and probably crossed paths in back and fists started to fly. And speaking of rivalries coming to an end. We got one possible getting a conclusion as Kip Keenan and Giant Brody look to finally show who is the better man."

hVx5Izl.jpg

Tables Match

wnyxT8G.jpgHZxt8x2.jpg2t6ztEa.jpg

Giant Brody vs Kip Keenan

The match starts off quickly and the two men quickly go after one another. Brody uses his strength and size advantage early to try wear down Kip and make it easier to throw him through one of the tables set up around the ring. Each time he tries to do so though Kip finds a way to escape and start to fight back. A lot of close calls for both men with Kip really showing some extra fire to keep competitive with his larger foe. The fact he manages to drag the match out longer and longer works to his advantage. Brody growing tired as the minutes go by and he seems more determined to finish off Kip quickly. It leads to mistakes and Kip capitalizes. The two are on ring apron near the end when Kip manages to get his arms about Brody to lift him up. He turns and jumps to the outside where one of the tables rests and drives the big man through the table with a quasi spinebuster. Both men are spent and not really moving as the bell rings and Kip is declared the winner.

Winner: Kip Keenan

Rating: 48 (Kip Keenan: 46, Giant Brody: 41)

Cueball: "How in the hell!? I mean really!"

Bambino: "Both men gave it their all and somehow Kip Keenan came out on top this night."

Cueball: "This shouldn't happen. If I didn't see it with my own eyes I wouldn't believe it."

Bambino: "Kip is finally recovering and Brody is still down. This one took a lot out of both men. I wonder were they go from here. It is now time for the main event!"

Cueball: "Come on, House Handsome. Lets end this on a high note!"

hVx5Izl.jpg

ZA8wYCW.jpgJYwR4HH.jpgHZxt8x2.jpg19w7Kgs.jpgRafpKUW.jpg

House Handsome vs Bradford Peverell and Mutant

House Handsome seem a bit overmatched at least at the start. At least whenever Mutant gets in the ring they are quick to get out of his way and try to draw out the match more. Finally Mutant gets ahold of Rayne Man at one point and starts to toss him about to the crowds delight. Bradford and Mutant are dominating early on and House Handsome is constantly on the defensive and trying to find an opening.

XgJ6ugr.jpg1lrx9Uw.jpg

These mooks again

House Handsome get some reinforcements in the form of Xavi Ferrera and Juggernaut Jones who help distract Bradford and Mutant and allow House Handsome to finally take advantage of things. There is just too much for the referee to keep track of though and as the match progresses the attempts at interference only grow. Rayne Man finally distracts Ryan Holland enough that Jones pulls Mutant off the apron and the two big men go at it. Xavi quickly gets in and uses his People's championship to smack Bradford Peverell from behind with Ryan's back to the commotion. Handsome Stranger hits the Catalan Twist just to be sure and goes for the pin. Rayne points it out to Ryan who quickly turns about to count the pin while Mutant is still brawling outside with Jones.

Winners: House Handsome

Rating: 57 (Handsome Stranger: 48, Rayne Man: 48, Mutant: 54, Bradford Peverell: 55)

Bambino: "Not again!"

Cueball: "Hah! House Handsome proves to be too smart once again."

Bambino: "Too smart? It was blatant cheating and you know it."

Cueball: "And they didn't get caught. That is called being smart, Bambino."

Bambino: "Something has to give. Another night House Handsome finds a way to win. Here is hoping things start to change soon. That is all for tonight. We'll see you next month at FREEDOM of the City."
