- Maika as Kamitani’s second white belt defence makes sense in my head, as they have been touted as the future and despite having just of 6 years in ring experience between them, they are both able to put on main event PPV level matches.

- Fiery Hazuki plants the seeds of a Hazuki vs Starlight Kid High Speed Title match down the road and a potential tag defence against Oedo Tai this month.

Match Overview:

At the start of the match, Saki nominates AZM to face her first.

Oedo Tai going toe to toe with QQ in a fair fight after the opening exchange was a mistake, with QQ managing to gain the first two pinfalls, leading to a 3 on 1 situation. Saki once again calls on AZM to be tagged in. AZM was caught out by a distraction from Oedo Tai pulling the white belt champ & Utami off the apron and brawling with them, allowing Kashima to sneaky pin AZM with a Revival.

Ultimately Saya was able to hit the Phoenix Splash on Saki Kashima, after an Utami delivered big Torture Rack Bomb, showing AphroditE to be a strong united front.

Tam needs Mina to get on the same page as her so that they can rocket ahead of DDM and start to re-establish themselves as the cutest and best faction in STARDOM!

Donna Del Mondo:

Thekla asks if Giulia’s knee is ok, leading to Giulia ranting about Prominence and assuring Thekla they need to finish this bout asap in order to refocus on the threat of Prominence.

Match Overview:

Despite her limited involvement due to her injured knee, Giulia did tag in after Tam Nakano started to give her a sympathetic look, which she of course was having none of. Giulia did look noticeably off her game, which combined with Cosmic Angels lack of chemistry, led to a very awkward bout.

Tam & Mina’s zero chemistry shined once again when they both went for the Cosmic Angels signature move of running and bouncing off the ropes on the four sides of the ring, before kicking the opponent who is seated in the middle of the ring. During this spot, a miscommunication led to them running into each other! Tam shook the contact off, kicked Thekla extra hard in frustration, before ordering Mina to make the cover for a 2 count.

Finish came as Tam hit her finisher the Tiger Suplex on Thekla, but thanks to Giulia’s injured knee, Giulia stumbled but ultimately fell short from breaking up the pinning predicament.

Momo and Starlight mock their opponents as Kid attacks STARS and they both attack Hazuki. They look forward to meeting them in the ring and showing them how far behind the champs are compared to Oedo Tai.

STARS:

Koguma once again tries to calm Hazuki, who is bubbling with rage. No hand poses are made at the end, as the tag champs look out of sorts.

Match Overview:

Hazuki & Momo kick us off in a heated exchange. Not only do both of the former Queen’s Quest member have significant history but Hazuki was continuously antagonized by Starlight Kid on the apron.

Koguma & Starlight Kid had some fun high-speed exchanges in the middle of this match, but every time Hazuki was tagged in, Kid would roll out of the ring and hide behind her Oedo Tai stable mates.

Finish came during one of these moments of Kid running from Hazuki. As Hazuki followed her to the outside, Starlight rolled back into the ring to apparent “safety”. However, this landed her right in front of the waiting Koguma! Starlight Kid slowly turns around to see Koguma’s bear pose, quickly followed by a huge Suplex. Two seconds later, Hazuki flies through the air with a top rope senton, then covers Kid for the 1,2,3!

MaiHimePoi have confidence in this defence as Himeka in particular has shone in their most recent outings. They are wary that they’ve never been in the ring with Prominence before but are focussed on rising to the challenge.

Match Overview:

Electric atmosphere as Prominence wrestle for the first time in a STARDOM ring.

The match split off to two interesting dynamics as Mochi & Akane matched up against Himeka & Maika, leading to some big powerful tag team power moves. This differed from Natsupoi & Suzu who showed good chemistry highlighting the battle of Natsupoi’s high speed style with Suzu’s impressive technical skills and technique.

Suzu’s superior skills lead to Prominence picking up the huge victory, after the other four powerhouses were battling on the outside, Suzuki was able to hit her finisher (Grand Maestro de Tequila) on Natsupoi and make the cover.

Syuri:

Syuri is a little banged up after Prominence's beat down yesterday but will not let that be an excuse for her not defending her red belt.

Match Overview:

Big fight feel with an opening feeling out process required due to both women’s unwillingness to give an inch. Whilst Syuri respectfully clean breaks away from Mayu, when Iwatani is backed into the ropes, when the roles are reversed, Mayu forcefully pats Syuri’s shoulders with a gleam in her eye and a signature cocky smirk.

The slow build continues to escalate with both women exchanging signature blows and ramping up the intensity.

Mayu’s second Moonsault is scouted by Syuri, who delivers a brutal kick to the mid-section but with both women feeling the effects of a gruelling match, the time limit draw bell is rang.

- Whelp, I’ve done it, Prominence have completely taken over and have ruined a number of matches. That Main event match rating of 82 between Mayu & Syuri was outrageous! The story of Syuri not being able to overcome Mayu also continues.

- The Goddesses Title defence would be awesome to see irl, but hopefully the balance between comedy and elite action was portrayed in the way I imagined / how STARDOM likes to sprinkle comedic elements in.

- Cosmic Angels & DDM was an unfortune car crash, fortunately low enough on the card to not affect the brilliant overall show!

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, as this is the first time I’m writing match summaries, so there will be some teething issues!

Koguma really has been struggling performance wise.

The DDM storyline is intriguing. Perhaps it'll end in a Syuri vs Giulia title match? One can dream.

Yep, I feel like if you gave them a couple of tour shows and PPV match each month, then let them go elsewhere to scratch that death match itch, you can keep them strong / fresh, then make the few hardcore matches in STARDOM even more important! DDM vs Prominence will anchor the diary until the end of the year for the big pay off:)

- Mei Saruga got signed to an exclusive deal by AEW which scuppered my plans to have her team with Starlight Kid, but I managed to squeeze in a backup just in time!

Prominence’s first defence of the artists title will set the tone for their title reign and time in STARDOM. Having no rules opens up the possibility of all of the weapons around the STARDOM ring. Giulia is back after her short break but isn’t quite 100% healthy, she’ll be hoping her partners have her back and can support her in taking on Prominence.

Match Preview:

ASUKA offers Saya her toughest challenge yet. ASUKA impressively has won titles in a wide range of different companies and the match against Lady C highlights ASUKA is more than capable of wining the white belt. Saya has grown with the belt and will be looking forward to battling once again.

AZM & Mei Hoshizuki vs Maria & Starlight Kid

Match Preview:

The eternal rivals Starlight Kid & AZM square off once again, this time in tag team action. Mei Hoshizuki has had a few matches win STARDOM and the little pocket rocket teaming with the high-speed bomb girl will make an lightning quick team! Maria is a quieter wrestler than most, but will be looking to make an impression on the big stage.

The former tag partners in the tag team called BeeStar face off for only the second time, after their first match in 2019. Both have picked up pro wrestling very quickly for being 2 years pro’s but it will be interesting to see what Suzume thinks of this new version of MIRAI.
