RESEM106511aew-roh.jpg

This thread starts right after this weeks Dynamite (4th May)

The events of AEW Revolution and RoH Supercard of Honor have happened, altho there have been a few changes - Gresham retained his belt at Supercard of Honor and the event ended with him being raised on the shoulders of the locker room, putting him over as the face of RoH.

I will be writing the events of Dynamite on a Wednesday and the new RoH Weekly show on a Thursday, aswell as highlights of Dark (Monday) and Rampage (Friday). Dark Elevation has been made dormant.

Forgot to add this before i posted Dark, I will however be doing away with Elevation as booking 4 shows is enough with Dynamite, Dark, Rampage and RoH, so Elevation had to go, so enjoy the first and only elevation show in this thread :D

AEW Dynamite

Wednesday, Week 1, May 2022

hZPjthY.jpgw10mEPr.jpgFyjvEOQ.jpgvs. 5Bb6P8o.jpgqmYaJJR.jpgtLawZXu.jpg

Opening Match - Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, Wheeler Yuta) def. AFO (The Butcher, The Blade, Angelico)

The story of the match was Moxley and Danielson letting Yuta take some licks to prove his toughness, in particular against the bigger man in The Butcher. Despite taking a bit of a beating from his opponents, and with some nice tag team combinations with Moxley and Danielson, Yuta pushed thru and proved his worth, as with previous BCC matches, the end came thru stereo-beatdowns of their opponents before Yuta made Angelico tap out to the Yuta Lock. Regal smirked and nodded towards his club as he headed backstage. On the other side of that, Andrade came out and looked disgusted at his fallen comrades, saying this will be decided on Rampage, and he has some big changes coming for the AFO.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We head to a sitdown interview with RoH Tag Team Champions, FTR and Tony Schiavone, and they discuss the great match they had last week, and even more so, the bond they have, and how its stronger than ever after last week, and Cash wishes Dax all the best and says he wants him to go out and win the whole thing now!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

KP7YIp0.jpg
vs.
zkN8wAv.jpg

Match 2 - Owen Hart Cup Qualifier - Jeff Hardy def. Bobby Fish

In a solid match, and despite attempts at interfering by Kyle O'Reilly, Jeff Hardy managed to beat the gritty Fish after a Twist of Fate followed by a Swanton Bomb. Fish tried all the dirty tricks he could, including neutralising Jeff's leg to stop the Swanton Bomb, and even looked like he may pull off a win after numerous leg kicks and a kneebar, but Jeff refused to tap to the submission. O'Reilly's interference was scuppered by Matt Hardy, who came down to run off the ReDRagon partner of Fish. Afterwards, The Hardys embraced and Matt got on the microphone saying The Hardys want one last run at all the gold they could, hinting they may even cross over to RoH in the hunt for gold.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A graphic is shown of the bracket for the mens Owen Hart Cup tournament - Jeff Hardy vs Darby Allin with the winner facing the winner of Adam Cole vs Dax Harwood and on the other side of the bracket, it will be the winner of the match coming up next, Rey Fenix vs Dante Martin, against Kyle O'Reilly, and the winner of that will face Samoa Joe or his opponent, who is a wildcard joker, to be announced at a later date.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

v4dNga4.jpg
vs.

Match 3 - Owen Hart Cup Qualifier - Rey Fenix def. Dante Martin

It was an incredible spectacle watching these two high flyers at their best in a thrilling bout. There was a mutual respect between the two for each others abilities. This was an athletic stunt show filled with counter after counter. Fenix eventually took the victory, putting down Dante with a Fenix Driver. After the match, Fenix helped his defeated foe back to his feet and they shook hands.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We have a backstage hype video for the current AEW Womens Champion, Thunder Rosa, followed up by an interview with her, saying she'll be watching RoH tomorrow night and challenges the winner of the undisputed RoH Womens title match to a title vs title match at Double or Nothing. This is followed by a hype video for tomorrow nights RoH Wrestling, featuring the mentioned Unified Womens Title match, and a TV Title defense for Japanese legend, Minoru Suzuki.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Match 4 - Chris Jericho def. Santana

Chris Jericho entered to 'Judas' as usual, but strangely not flanked by his JAS buddies. Santana used this to his advantage, attacking his former Inner Circle boss during his entrance. Santana continued to throw Jericho around the ringside area, but the veteran experience of Jericho caught up with him and after an eye poke, the men entered the ring to start the match. It took a few minutes before Angelo Parker and Matt Menard arrogantly made their way down to ringside, to a chorus of boos, which they lapped up. Not long after, they were heavily involved constantly in the match, which eventually led to a Jericho Judas Effect elbow for the victory, and with that, the rest of JAS made their way to the ring to beatdown Santana. Ortiz and Eddie Kingston tried to make the save but succumbed to the numbers game. That was before a familiar graphic came on the screen, if you know of the history of Kingston or Ortiz and Santana.......

LAX - Hernandez and Homicide

LAX run to the ring and clear it to big cheers and helped up their longtime friends. Homicide grabbed the mic and said the ink has barely dried on their contracts with RoH, but why not go thru that forbidden door to help out some brothers!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Men of the Year, Dan Lambert and Paige Vanzant are backstage and talking about Scorpio Sky reclaiming the TNT title. Scorpio says he spoke to Tony Khan and from next week, the TNT title will go back to being defended each and every week on Dynamite, as it was meant to be!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We cut backstage to MJF talking with Shawn Spears about rebuilding The Pinnacle, and to go out and scout for some new blood, but before that, lets go deal with the PIG!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Z68FxGo.jpg

Main Event - Wardlow vs. MJF's Mystery Opponent

Wardlow is led to the ring with his usual police escort, before MJF's music plays and the smug employer of Wardlow runs down the credentials of his opponent tonight, as hinted before, Wardlow's opponent is.......

.

pQKJaOu.jpg

Big CAZ!

The big 7 footer makes his way to the ring, looking to be in incredible shape! Caz overwhelms Wardlow for a few minutes, before hitting his Big Boot finisher, Wardlow however kicked out straight away and used the 'Wardlow' chants to hype him up as he smiled angrily towards his opponent, before hitting a super stiff lariat, followed by some power moves, before ending the match, much to MJFs dispair, with a huge powerbomb. And like that it was another win for Wardlow over another hand picked opponent!

Wardlow immediately grabbed the microphone and said he's done playing games and wants to face Max one on one.

MJF squirmed and said he has one more opponent for the pig to beat and agreed to sitdown and sign a contract next week for a match at Double or Nothing if Wardlow could defeat this opponent. He'll even let him pick the stipulation, but he would also be picking his own stipulation.

Any critique is welcomed, as time goes on, im hoping this thread will improve in quality, but any comments will be taken on board :) this card was alot like the real AEW stuff, but from this Dynamite, im hoping to take AEW in my own direction with the odd influence from real life but hopefully not much at all

Gonna spend some time tomorrow filling out the initial few posts, with rosters, tag teams/stables, champions etc

Don't mind if I do - how would doing predictions for events sound (as some of us already do with our diaries)?

Not going to say much about the show itself since it was nearly the same dynamite as in real life. I think it should pick up from now on with your own ideas and stuff.

You're layout is cool because it's different than others do here. Just keep it up and have fun :)

Thanks guys, was gonna start it the other day but got distracted and by then this dynamite had happened, so thought I’d write up my version of it then go from there, thanks for the comments, will start doing predictions going forward and will be going away from real life and into my own vision for AEW and RoH :)

Also thanks for the comment on layout, personally I prefer other layouts on the forums but haven’t got the technical ability to use them so had to go with my basic ability haha, glad to hear it’s not too bad as was thinking it may hinder the interest in this thread

Matchcard:

Bandido vs. Blake Christian vs. Alex Zayne vs. Dragon Lee vs. Flamita vs. Rey Horus - Just a gut feeling. I think Lee is the best of them but Bandido is the most popular recently. Would be cool if someone else could be elevated like even a Blake Christian or Zayne but dunno.

Minoru Suzuki vs. Rhett Titus - Sorry Rhett..

Sydal Brothers vs. OGK - Gut feeling as well. I like the Sydal Brothers much more than OGK but I think their name value will get them the win here.

Brian Cage vs. Cheeseburger - Crystal clear.

Deonna Purrazzo vs. Mercedes Martinez - Tough one. I don't know if you got inspired by last Dynamite again or if you play the opposite game here. I think Deonna isn't that good like they say on twitter but Mercedes is so boring IMO. With a Mercedes win the title could be defended on AEW program as well, but I'll go with Deonna.

Opening Match - Six-Pack Match - Bandido vs. Blake Christian vs. Alex Zayne vs. Dragon Lee vs. Flamita vs. Rey Horus

A highly entertaining and quick-paced opening match, which saw a whole load of high spots and some decent tag work from Bandido and Flamita. Dragon Lee looked exceptional during the match and thought he had the match wrapped up after hitting a Dragon Driver on Rey Horus, but rather heelishly and out of character, Bandido nipped in and forced Lee out of the ring and stole the pinfall. Lee climbed back into the ring after and had a heated staredown with Bandido, nose to nose, before rolling out of the ring and making his way backstage, clearly annoyed at not winning his return match in RoH.

Winner - Bandido

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Announced for next weeks show for the main event is a gauntlet match to determine the next contender to Jonathan Gresham for his RoH World Title, featuring only ex-RoH World Champions, with the participants TBA.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

LJ5OVXQ.jpg
vs.
emjecyI.jpg

RoH TV Title - Minoru Suzuki © vs. Rhett Titus

Rhett Titus asked for a rematch for the belt he recently lost, which would normally be a fair request, but if the champion is Minoru Suzuki, it's definitely not the wisest move. Rhett came out aggressive but was really never going to match Suzuki for aggression, as Suzuki looked like he enjoyed taking some shots before coming back with some big chops on Rhett, leaving his chest looking very nasty. The match didnt last long, with Suzuki proving his win at Supercard of Honor was no fluke, making his first ever USA based title defense with a Gotch Piledriver finishing off Rhett for the 1-2-3.

Winner and still RoH Television Champion - Minoru Suzuki

After the match, the lights go out, and we see an hourglass timer, which can only mean one thing in the wrestling world, which was confirmed by his name on the screen!

Killer Kross! Who arrived with his wife, Scarlett, and stared towards Suzuki in the ring, in true Suzuki style, instead of being intimidated as most would be with Kross targeting them next, he instead laughed back maniacally!

Sydal Brothers (Matt & Mike Sydal) vs. OGK (Mike Bennett & Matt Taven)

The OGK were flanked as always by Mrs Mike Bennett, Maria Kanellis-Bennett, who is always a nuisance on the outside at all times. The Sydal Brothers would have better chemistry in the match, but the interference of Maria nulified this, allowing the heels to capitalise whenever the Sydal's seemed to put together any kind of offence. The end was pretty spectacular, as Mike Sydal laid out Matt Taven, and his brother went up top for his shooting star splash, but was speared mid-air by the legal man in Mike Bennett for the pinfall victory for the OGK.

Winners - The OGK

Brian Cage w/ Tully Blanchard vs. Cheeseburger

Theres really not much to say about this match, Cheeseburger tried to start off with offence, with a dropkick, but Cage swatted him away like an annoying fly. Cage was just using the match as a showcase for how effortless it was to throw opponents around, Cheeseburger was bumping all over the ring. Cage did a little run through of his signature moves, smashing Cheeseburger with a Tornado Claw Lariat, a huge F5, and finally a Drill Claw for the easy win. Cage is going to be a real threat in the RoH ranks.

Winner - Brian Cage

RoH Undisputed Womens World Title - Deonna Purrazzo © vs. Mercedes Martinez

After all the confusion of Deonna winning the title in Impact Wrestling and not being able to defend at Supercard of Honor, leading to Mercedes winning the interim belt, we are finally here to crown the unified, undisputed RoH Womens World champion. AEW Womens World Champion, Thunder Rosa made her way to the ringside area for a first hand look at who will be the wrestler she wants to face at Double or Nothing. The match starts with a handshake, honoring the code of honor. We started with strikes, but Deonna soon realised she couldn't match her bigger opponent, so moved to her more technical side, trying to work on Mercedes' arm, softening her up for her double armbar, which Mercedes' only just struggled to the ropes for a break. Unfortunately for her, the damage was done and despite trying to fight back, Deonna eventually forced a tapout from a Fujiwara Armbar to unify the belts and become the undisputed RoH Womens World champion. Thunder Rosa claps as she enters the ring and stands across from Deonna, they both raise their own titles above their heads, as we end the show.

Winner and Undisputed RoH Womens World Champion - Deonna Purrazzo

Trios Match – The Factory (QT Marshall, Aaron Solow & Nick Comoroto) vs. The Dark Order (Evil Uno, Stu Grayson & 10)

The story of this match was the surprise appearance of Shawn Spears on the stage, taking a seat on his favourite accessory, his chair, watching on strangely. This made more sense after Uno and Grayson hit their tag finisher on Solow to win the match. As the Dark Order celebrated, Comoroto came back into the ring and attacked Grayson, and as Uno went to make the save, he was shockingly blindsided by 10, and the two big men continued their assault, before 10 removed his mask, ripped it in half and threw it down as his former friends. The duo walked up the ramp to where Spears was sitting, and shook his hand as he stood up. The three raised one anothers arms as we cut to break. Spears had been speaking about looking out for new members for the Pinnacle....

AEW TBS Title – Jade Cargill © w/ Smart Mark Sterling vs. ???

MICKIE JAMES!

Jade was shocked as the former 10 time world champion made her entrance, and was by far the biggest challenge Jade has had to face in her short career. Mickie's experience shone thru in the match, but the overwhelming distractions from Red Velvet and Kiera Hogan, who has a bit of history with Mickie, led to Jade managing to keep her undefeated record intact and retain her TBS Title

As we come back from break, Danhausen is standing with a microphone in hand, and requested Hook to join him to answer his question about whether he'd like to join him, but was blindsided by the Gunn Club, Austin and Colten, who have taken a real exception to Danhausen calling them the Ass Boys and how theyve been getting the chants of Ass Boys everytime theyre on TV. Hook made the save and drove away the brothers, before helping up Danhausen, teasing walking away, before shaking the hand of the very nice, very evil man who stood across from him, signalling the formation of a new team on the roster.

Team DMD (Britt Baker & Jamie Hayter) vs. Toni Storm & Ruby Soho

Team DMD started off by working over Ruby, who couldn't see to catch a break, with every hope moment being neutralised but the teamwork of Britt and Jamie. Rebel also got herself involved, pulling Toni off the apron as Ruby looked to tag out, but took a big shot from Toni to floor her with a big forearm shot and leave her lying. When Ruby finally made the tag, Toni ran thru Hayter like she was twice her size, hitting her with suplexes before getting the pinfall with a Storm Zero piledriver as Ruby keeps Britt at bay. This will give Toni and Ruby a big boost going into their individual Owen Hart Cup Quarter Finals.

Andrade made his way to the ring, alongside some members of the AFO, those members being Jora Johl, Jack Evans and Angelico. He speaks about 'family' and how this family doesnt feel like it, and he knows what family really means. He introduced 2 people who he claimed to be his real family, who he's been running with for a long time, and saying the AFO had run its course and he would be releasing the members from his umbrella. The 3 members looked puzzled, and Andrade and his two hooded friends teased an attack, but instead turned and walked towards the back, leaving more questions than answers - Who are the hooded men? What happens with Johl, Evans and Angelico? Where were the rest of AFO?

Owen Hart Cup Quarter Final - Jeff Hardy w/ Matt Hardy vs. Darby Allin w/ Sting

A match which had a lot of respect between the 2 men, who have found themselves teaming up recently on a couple of occassion. It was a real youth vs experience match which had Matt Hardy and Sting on the outside, but both letting the action unfold in a brutal, high octane stuntshow of a match under no-DQ rules. Jeff Hardy had been undefeated in his AEW stint, but that came to an end here as Darby did enough to keep his spot in the Owen Hart Cup, advancing to the semi-finals, where he will face Samoa Joe or the 'joker' after hitting Jeff with a crazy Coffin Drop from the top of a ladder. After the dust was settled and both men were able to stand, they shook each others hands to end the show.
