Signings War #1

Reaching mid 2020, USPW dominates the scene by winning multiple signings war against the competition.

Starting by signing TCW Star Sammy Bach, who leaves the mid south major after 13 Years for a $126,100 per month exclusive written contract. TCW has tried multiple time to negotiate a new contract with “The Rock Star” until the last big offer from USPW. SWF and EILL have took part in the bid war. Sammy Bach is set to leave TCW before TCW Summer Showdown 2020.

In response to that, TCW has offered contracts to Rock God Alvarez and Multimillonario, both stars in EILL with an expiring contract. Once again, the other US majors has interfered and USPW has swept all, signing both Rock God Alvarez ($178,390 per month exclusive written) and Multimillonario ($151,440 per month exclusive written) with some pretty lucrative deals.

It’s a bad situation for EILL in particularly, as Gino Montero’s contract is also close to expire and the US majors have already targeted him.

TCW also has tried to poke USPW, starting to talk with star Julius Moore about a potential new exclusive written contract.

TCW Child Company

Unable to compete with USPW's financial dominance when it came down to sign big names with big pay-checks, TCW (and the BriCo group of course) decided to invest in a new developmental company to raise the next best talents in the business. The South Beach Pro, based in South East, is broadcasted on TCW-world, a nice opportunity to provide visibility for young talents.

Ownership put Greg Sluchinski as the CEO of the company, while the legendary Pistol Pete Hall took creative control and is now the Booker.

Alongside a lot of very young talents who entered the wrestling word during the last year, South Beach Pro signed The Architect, Joffy Laine, Charlie Corner, "Mad" Mongo Flash and Dreadnought and many others. From the main roster, TCW sent Marvel Malloy (while partner Storm Spillane is out injured) and Yuri Yoshihara.

Preview - TCW Summer Showdown 2020

Maverick vs Dazzling Dave Diamond
The rivalry continues between Maverick, backed up by Texas Hangman, and Dazzling Dave Diamond. After defeating his rival at TCW Total Mayhem XXIV, thanks to the interference by “The Hangman”, Maverick looks for another W against “Triple D”. Dazzling Dave Diamond is looking for revenge, but has to look out for Texas Hangman who will probably be at ringside.

The Behemots (Killer Shark, Titan vs Beast & West (Danny Cavanagh, Tim Westybrook)
In a battle of the heavyweight, former tag champs Killer Shark and Titan, known as The Behemots, face off with PGHW’s Danny Cavanagh and Tim Westybrook, known as Beast & West. The two massive duos already clashed at TCW Open World: Japan, as Sinner Society defeated Danny Cavanagh, Tim Westybrook, Mighty Mo and Tana The Mighty. This time, in a two versus two, which tag team will come out of the summer showdown with a win? Let’s find out!

The Syndicate vs Human Army Machine (Dean Daniels, Human Arsenal, One Man Army), Mighty Mo, Bart Biggins
After a huge performance in the Total Rumble Match, Wolf Hawkins found himself with nothing in hand, ending up as the runner-up of the match. For TCW Summer Showdown 2020, “The Wolf” regroups with his faction, The Syndicate, in a big five versus five contest! Their opponents will be the tag champs Human Arsenal and One Man Army (targeted by The Syndicate’s Eddie Chandler and Nate Johnson, aka The Elite), Dean Daniels, Bart Biggins (who lost to Wolf Hawkins in recent singles action) and Mighty Mo!

Edd Stone vs Freddy Huggins
A rivalry between former friends and now bitter enemies, that has revamped after a couple of years. The Canadian Animals, that was their name as a duo, were former three-time world tag team champions before Huggins turned on Edd Stone in 2018. Now leading the Most Hated, Freddy Huggins mocked Edd Stone and the entire Stones legacy, which lead to a reaction by Edd himself who challenged the arrogant Huggins in a one versus one bout at TCW Summer Showdown 2020. The leader of the Most Hated agreed to fight against “The 24H Party Animal”, ready to show the world that he’s better than a common “stone”.

Chairs Match: Eddie Peak vs Tana The Mighty
After losing at TCW Where Angels Fear to Tread 2020 in an Hardcore match against Mighty Mo, and after a pretty delusional performance in the Total Rumble Match, Eddie Peak now has to look out for a giant! Tana The Mighty, injured by Eddie Peak months prior, now has demanded a one versus one match against “The Hardcore Assassin”. Using the weapon which caused the injury as the stipulation of the match itself, we will witness a Chairs Match between Tana and Peak.

TCW International Title: Kozue Kawashima © vs Greg Gauge
After 6 months of moving from a weekly schedule to a tour-related model, TCW finally pulled the trigger and announced the retirement of the short-lived TCW Television Title. Greg Gauge’s complaints about being stripped of his TV championship have not gone unheeded as CEO Kyle Rhodes and TCW management have decided to give Gauge a title shot for another championship at TCW Summer Showdown 2020, going one versus one with TCW International champ Kozue Kawashima. This decision did not make anyone happy, as former International Title holder Joshua Taylor was pissed by the announcement, eager to having a rematch agains Kawashima. And with Greg Gauge “stealing his match” and Jay Chord in the main event for the World Title, Joshua Taylor ended up being the only “NXT in LINE” without his spotlight at TCW Summer Showdown 2020.

TCW World Heavyweight Title: Aaron Andrews © vs Jay Chord
A main event for the ages! World champ Aaron Andrews, who has just celebrated his one-year title reign, defends his big belt from the assault of the Total Rumble winner, Jay Chord, which will battle up for the first time in career for the TCW World Heavyweight Title. Aaron Andrews spends nice words for Jay Chord, honestly claiming that he’s definitely championship material and could beat him. But “The Ace” didn’t receive this nickname just cause, he deserved it! And coming TCW Summer Showdown 2020, he will deliver another A+ performance and show everyone why he is the top guy in the company. Meanwhile, Jay Chord talks about being “NXT in LINE”, saying that it isn’t just about the future, it’s about the present too. HE IS THE PRESENT! He’s NXT and he’s NOW!

TCW Summer Showdown 2020

Held in front of 12,572 in BriCo Center (San Antonio, Texas)

Chairs Match: Eddie Peak vs Tana The Mighty
The opener of the night is a Chairs match between Sinner Society’s leader Eddie Peak and Tana The Mighty. Before the contest and during his entrance, Tana gets blindsided by other Sinner Society’s member Nick Booth who tries to attacks him with a steel chair. But Tana The Mighty anticipates him and hit a punch on the chair who ends up directly on Nick Booth’s head, knocking him down. In a bout that has fantastic heat and decent wrestling, Eddie Peak is able to defeat the colossus Tana The Mighty in 10 mins, after hitting the opponent with a series of chari shots on the legs, before hitting the Peak of Perfection. The match could have been better, but Eddie Peak and Tana The Mighty don’t seem to click and it made for an awkward bout. [58]

The Behemots (Killer Shark, Titan) vs Beast & West (Danny Cavanagh, Tim Westybrook)
Still tome for some heavyweights action, as former Tag champs The Behemots take on PGHW’s Danny Cavanagh and Tim Westybrook. In a decent tag team bout, Killer Shark and Titan get the W after 14 mins of powerful action, when Killer Shark pins Tim Westybrook after the Big Bite. The Behemots bounce back well with this win over PGHW's tag team, shaking off the recent loss against Human Army. [59]

In a segment backstage, the hustlin’ manager Vinny Cruz hypes his client, the prestigious Mr. Lucha III, asking directly to the management to give the luchador some great challenges. Vinny Cruz also claims that Mr. Lucha III is the hottest international wrestler in the business right now and no one around the world can match his talent. [45]

Edd Stone vs Freddy Huggins
The rivalry of former friends and now bitter enemies never stops! In a bout that has fantastic heat and great wrestling, it is the arrogant jerk Freddy Huggins who scores the pin, able to defeat Edd Stone in 22 mins by pinfall with a Huggins Kiss. The match has delivered and has been really entertaining, with both Vita, Edd’s girlfriend, and Laura Catherine Huggins, Freddy’s sister, who add a lot to the match. After the match, the Most Hated celebrate with Freddy Huggins who mocks Edd Stone, heartened by Danny Fonzarelli and another wrestler who has become pretty close to Party Lovers, Reijiro Hiraki. [77]

We return backstage as the NXT in LINE are having a meeting in their locker room. Jay Chord, who’s going to challenge for the World Heavyweight Title, and Greg Gauge, who’s going to challenge for the International Title, try to convince Joshua Taylor to stay with them tonight. Today is celebration day for the group and they need Taylor’s presence. Still, Joshua Taylor decides to walk out of the BriCo Center, still upset about not having a match for the night while his partners have some pretty important title shots. After wishing both Gauge and Chord good luck, Joshua Taylor leaves the locker room. [82]

The Syndicate vs Human Army Machine (Dean Daniels, Human Arsenal, One Man Army), Mighty Mo, Bart Biggins
In a five versus five match that has great heat and good wrestling, The Syndicate defeat the babyface team in 19 mins, when leader Wolf Hawkins pins Dean “Machine” Daniels with a Full Moon Rising. “The Wolf” looks excellent out there and remains one of the top draw in TCW, while The Elite (Eddie Chandler, Nate Johnson) will now probably target the TCW World Tag Team titles of Human Arsenal and One Man Army. On the losing side, Mighty Mo delivers a really solid performance. [71]

Maverick vs Dazzling Dave Diamond
Before the match, Triple D surprises Maverick’s partner Texas Hangman, attacking the young heavyweight backstage and throwing him against a concrete wall, to avoid any interference during his bout. After 15 mins of a nice brawling match between Dazzling Dave Diamond and Maverick, that has great heat and decent wrestling, Texas Hangman appears on stage eager to avenge the assault he suffered earlier on and reaches the apron. Not wanted to be disqualified, Maverick tries to stop his partner by interfering and in that moment Triple D blindsides his opponent, causing him to clash with Texas Hangman. “The Hangman” falls from the apron, while Maverick ends up in a quick pin: 1! .. 2! .. 3! Strategy paid off for Dazzling Dave Diamond, who tonight has defeated Maverick and assaulted Texas Hangman. Nice W for DDD, while Maverick complains with the referee (without any reason to be honest) and with Texas Hangman. [59]

While getting ready for the main event, World Champ Aaron Andrews gets interrupted by … Wolf Hawkins! The veteran wishes good luck to “The Ace” just to ending up asking another title shot after tonight. Aaron Andrews cuts the BS pretty quick, calmly telling Troy Tornado that he already got his title shots and loss to “The Ace”. Still, Aaron Andrews thanks Troy for the good luck wishes before dismissing him. It’s safe to say that Troy has remained pretty stunned by this clear refusal. [79]

y2fXYY8.png
TCW International Title: Kozue Kawashima © vs Greg Gauge

The TCW International Title is on the line, as former TV champ Greg Gauge has received a title shot for Kozue Kawashima’s gold. In a bout that has good wrestling and decent reaction from the crowd, with another well-done bout who mixes up american brawl and japanese puroresu, Greg Gauge takes another important win and adds an accolade to his young and promising career, defeating PGHW’s icon Kozue Kawashima in 20 mins by submission with a Proton Lock. Greg Gauge wins the TCW International Title, defeating the man who defeated his partner Joshua Taylor. And that may bring other frictions inside the NXT in LINE group. Still, the “Son of a Legend” has all the rights to celebrate now, what a win for him! Greg Gauge has been slowed a little by working with an injury, but the overall performance has been really good, props to the wrestlers. [81]

PHmVoWw.png
TCW World Heavyweight Title: Aaron Andrews © vs Jay Chord

And now, the match that anyone has been looking for! The TCW World Heavyweight Title is on the line as World champ goes against the challenger, who earned is title shot after winning the first ever Total Rumble match. In an exceptional match, probably the best one in TCW in 2020 so far, Jay Chord defeats Aaron Andrews in 22 mins by pinfall with a Cradle Piledriver, after avoiding Andrews’ Frog Splash. Jay Chord wins the TCW World Heavyweight Title, Jay Chord makes history! 20 years later, a Chord is on the top of Total Championship Wrestling, what a moment. [85]

Preview - TCW Hotter Than Hell 2020

As always, the CEO of Total Championship Wrestling, Kyle Rhodes, welcomes everybody to today's press conference. Before anything else, the CEO announces the signing of former football athlete and USPW wrestler, Julius Moor! The new signing will be at TCW Hotter Than Hell 2020, making his first appearance.

Mr. Lucha III vs TCW Management’s Personal Pick
At TCW Summer Showdown 2020, Vinny Cruz demanded some competition for his client, Mr Lucha III, claiming that he’s the hottest international wrestler in the business right now. CEO Kyle Rhodes and TCW Management has accepted the challenge, making official a one versus one bout at TCW Hotter Than Hell 2020 between Mr Lucha III and an international wrestler who’s going to be TCW Management’s Personal Pick. Who will it be? Will he match Mr Lucha’s strenght.

TCW World Tag Team Titles: Human Army © (Human Arsenal, One Man Army) vs The Elite (Eddie Chandler, Nate Johnson)
Tag champs Human Arsenal and One Man Army are called to defend their championship belts against The Elite, Eddie Chandler and Nate Johnson. After 3 years from their first and only TCW World Tag Team reigns, the two members of The Syndicate try to regain the tag crowns. Human Army are red hot, coming from a title win and a first defence against former champs The Behemots, but they have to be extremely aware of their challengers’ dirty tricks.

Party Lovers (Stone, Fonzarelli, Hiraki, Tana The Mighty) vs Most Hated (Huggins, Speed, Hocking, Remus)
After defeating - and I quote - “a common stone” like Edd Stone, Freddy Huggins self proclaimed himself as “The Gem” of the wrestling biz, also hyped up by clique, the Most Hated. Edd Stone looked for a rematch against his nemesis, obtaining a four versus four match against Freddy Huggins, Marc Speed, matt Hocking and Roderick Remus. Teaming up with Edd, there will be “Dr. Love” Danny Fonzarelli and new friends of the Party Lovers: Reijiro Hiraki and Tana The Mighty.

TCW International Title: Greg Gauge © vs Joshua Taylor
Tensions keep rising inside NXT in LINE, especially because of the situation around the TCW International championship. Joshua Taylor literally told partner Greg Gauge that he took his spot at TCW Summer Showdown 2020 against former International champs Kozue Kawashima, who previously won the title from Taylor’s himself. As Jay Chord shifting in the background, surrounding by multiple potential contenders, Greg Gauge has remained alone with this tough nut to crack, deciding do put his TCW International title belt on the line against Joshua Taylor. Gauge’s proposal has been really simple, a singles match for the gold! And after the match, all the tensions inside the NXT in LINE group have to go! Joshua Taylor obviously liked the proposal and accepted it, eager to regain the International championship.

Jay Chord, Wolf Hawkins, Eddie Peak vs Aaron Andrews, Troy Tornado, Mighty Mo
After winning the World Heavyweight title belt, new champ Jay Chord told the Press that he was going to be a fighting champ, demanding the best competition, as he asked for Wolf Hawkins, Mighty Mo, Eddie Peak and Aaron Andrews once again. This led to all these contenders to step up and ask for a title shot, adding Troy Tornado to the list who insistently returned in the title picture. CEO Kyle Rhodes makes the decision of having a three versus three match between this six TCW stars in what will probably be the main event of the night.

To open the night, Mr. Lucha III has to fight against an international athlete picked by the management of Total Championship Wrestling: KOSHIRO “THE KOBRA” INO! The japanese is a former World Tag Team champ who is coming back to TCW after a long stint in BHOTWG. [73]

Mr. Lucha III vs Koshiro Ino
In this opener, also helped by some distractions from manager Vinny Cruz, Mr. Lucha III is able to defeat Koshiro Ino, pinning him in 16 mins after a Third Strike. “The Kobra” still delivers a solid performance and it’s nice to see him back here. Mr. Lucha III and Koshiro Ino just don’t click at all and it showed in their performances, who could have been better. [50]

AzbnjIJ.png   AzbnjIJ.png
TCW World Tag Team Titles: Human Army (Human Arsenal, One Man Army) vs The Elite (Eddie Chandler, Nate Johnson)

The tag champs come in to defend their tag crowns against the assault of Nate Johnson and Eddie Chandler, eager to become 2-time tag team champs. In a tag team contest that has good heat and decent wrestling, Human Army defeat The Elite in 15 mins when One Man Army, who carries the match in terms of in-ring performance, pins Eddie Chandler with a Guided Missile. Human Army make defence number three of the TCW World Tag Team titles. [67]

Ladies and gentlemen, Julius Moor is here! The former professional football athlete, as announced by CEO Kyle Rhodes weeks ago, has signed a multiyear exclusive written contract with TCW and he’s here today to introduce himself to the TCW’s fans in attendance and on tv. Julius Moor talks about his physical dominance and strenght, being interrupted by The Behemots, Killer Shark and Titan! The former tag champs comes out to make things clear to the new arrived, there’s no one more physically dominant than The Behemots. This leads to some heat in the ring, until Julius Moor proposes a tag team match: RIGHT HERE! RIGHT NOW! Killer Shark and Titan accept the challenge, asking who’s going to join Julius Moor as his partner. The new signing responds that he has the feeling that someone in the backstage will have his back … And after few seconds, T-BONE BRIGHT ARRIVES! [75]

The Behemots (Killer Shark, Titan) vs Julius Moor, T-Bone Bright
T-Bone Bright, another former football athlete who turned into a pro wrestler, comes out to help Julius Moor in this improvised tag team match and that leads to a wild brawl that has great heat and decent wrestling. After 10 mins, with Killer Shark out of action at ringside, Julius Moor goes for a vicious tackle on the leg of Titan, while T-Bone Bright connects his Lariat on him: TITAN GETS SACKED’UP! And after that, Julius Moor scores the pin. [70]

Party Lovers (Stone, Fonzarelli, Hiraki, Tana The Mighty) vs Most Hated (Huggins, Speed, Hocking, Remus)
The rivalry between “24H Party Animal” Edd Stone and “The Gem” Freddy Huggins, and their respective cliques, continues in this four versus four match with good heat and decent wrestling. After 18 mins, the Party Lovers (Edd Stone, Danny Fonzarelli, Reijiro Hiraki, Tana The Mighty) score the W against Most Hated (Freddy Huggins, Marc Speed, Matt Hocking, Roderick Remus), when Edd Stone pins “Shocking” Matt Hocking with a Party’s Over. As planned, this match brings the fan back down a little for the upcoming contests. [68]

In an in-ring segment, Dazzling Dave Diamond hypes the upcoming Texas Heritage Tournament, a 32-participant round robin competition planned for the 1st week of September, thinked as a way to celebrate the texan wrestling heritage and the historical company Texas Wrestling League. Total Championship Wrestling will honours the greatests: Professor Nero, Pat Deacon, Chief Two Eagles and Rip Chord. Triple D gets interrupted by rivals Maverick and Texas Hangman, who also will fight in the tournament, thar argue with Dave Diamond for some minutes. [52]

Jay Chord, Wolf Hawkins, Eddie Peak vs Aaron Andrews, Troy Tornado, Mighty Mo
In an exceptional three versus three match featuring the world champ and multiple contenders, “The Ace” Aaron Andrews teams up with veteran Troy Tornado and rising star Mighty Mo against TCW World Heavyweight champ Jay Chord, Sinner Society’s leader Eddie Peak and The Syndicate’s leader Wolf Hawkins. All six participants showcase theirselves and get involved, and after 22 mins the babyfaces team is able to get the W. A miscommunication between Eddie Peak and Jay Chord causes the world champ to get knockdown by Peak himself, this opens the door for former champ Aaron Andrews to score the pin on Jay Chord after his Frog Splash. [80]

After the match, the focus goes on the heels, as a furious Jay Chord yells at Eddie Peak for the mistake, and also at Wolf Hawkins for some obscure reason. The world champ keeps screaming, until Wolf Hawkins and Eddie Peak can’t take it no more, attacking and leaving him down and out. [86]

y2fXYY8.png
TCW International Title: Greg Gauge © vs Joshua Taylor

In the main event, the first of the year that features a title belt that isn’t the World Heavyweight one, TCW International Champ Greg Gauge puts his title belt on the line against Joshua Taylor in this internal NXT in LINE bout, hoping to remove all the tensions inside the group. The match starts with a slow building, reaching a pretty long playing time after some near falls. After 24 mins, the two exhausted wrestlers keep exchanging blows, not willing to lose, and both end up knocked out by a respective lariat. Greg Gauge and Joshua Taylor go down to the mat, both with an hand on the opponent’s torso, as the referee starts the pinfall: 1! .. 2! .. 3! The match ends up with a double pinfall, and so Greg Gauge retains the gold using “championship advantage”. [78]

After the match, Greg Gauge and Joshua Taylor recover some energy and get back up, shaking hands after few seconds of hesitation. World champ Jay Chord joins their partners, still a bit hurt about the previous match and the beatdown, but willing to regroup with Greg Gauge and Joshua Taylor, raising both wrestlers’ arms. It has been a great internal fight, and we wonder if the cracks within the NXT in LINE have been repaired. [91]

Preview - TCW Texas Heritage Tournament - Day #4

It’s the day before the Texas Heritage Tournament Finals, time for some media scrum.
The eight remained wrestlers have some exposure, talking about the tournament and TCW in general.

Here’s the upcoming Quarter Finals:
Eddie Peak vs Killer Shark in an internal Sinner Society’s match
International champ Greg Gauge vs “The Gem” Freddy Huggins
The Syndicate’s leader Wolf Hawkins vs the rising star Mighty Mo
World champ Jay Chord vs former champ Aaron Andrews

”The Hardcore Assassin” Eddie Peak
"The Hardcore Assassin" Eddie Peak is a heavyweight brawler, leader and mouthpiece of his Sinner Society stable. A major star in TCW, Eddie Peak is still searching for his first singles achievement in the company, after having won the TCW World Tag Team titles in 2009, alongside American Buffalo. His first victims in the tournament have been Human Arsenal and Dazzling Dave Diamond.

Killer Shark
The massive Killer Shark is a 2011 graduate of the TCW School Of Pro Wrestling. The hulking 430lb monster has been used in the tag team ranks quite a lot. His team with Titan, The Behemoths, are three-time world tag team champions and have made both men into significant heel forces to be reckoned with. Coming from two massive wins against One man Army and Tana the Mighty, Killer Shark is on a roll in this tournament.

TCW International champ Greg Gauge
Greg Gauge is the son of the legendary Sam Keith and identical twin brother of Matthew. He joined TCW in 2018 and is obviously being positioned as one of the stars who'll lead the company over the next decade or so, having already won the TCW Television title and the TCW International title. One of the three members of the NXT in LINE alliance, alongside Jay Chord and Joshua Taylor, Greg Gauge have scored wins against Benny Benson in the first round and Edd Stone in an exceptional second round match.

”The Gem” Freddy Huggins
Freddy Huggins, the self proclaimed “Gem” of TCW after defeating nemesis Edd Stone, is a versatile performer who can brawl, wrestle, or take to the air. He is well known for being a long-time member of the TCW roster, where famously he is managed by his sister Laura Catherine Huggins in one of the great double acts in pro wrestling. A record-breaking five time holder of the TCW All Action title and leader of the Most Hated stable, Freddy Huggins won against Elliot Thomas and T-Bone Bright.

Wolf Hawkins
Florida native Andrew "Wolf" Hawkins is the only man to have ever been personally trained by the legendary Tommy Cornell, the man who signed him to TCW. A major success as a heel, Wolf Hawkins has gone on to become a big draw for the company, being a 3-time TCW World Heavyweight champion and the King of Kings in 2019. The “Alpha Wolf” has defeated Darryl Devine and star Julius Moor to reach the quarter finals of the tournament.

Mighty Mo
Mighty Mo is a 2010 graduate of the TCW School Of Pro Wrestling. A superb athlete, Mo combines a powerful muscular physique with explosive power and speed to create an awesome package. Considered to be one of the brightest prospects the camp has ever produced, and was inevitably signed to the main TCW roster as soon as he turned pro and already had some accolades, as former TCW International and TCW World Tag Team champ. Right now, Mo’s momentum his white hot, coming from a successful fued against Eddie Peak and recent wins in the tournament against Nate Johnson and Joshua Taylor.

TCW World Heavyweight champ Jay Chord
Jay Chord is the son of the iconic multi-time world champion Rip Chord. Clearly a tremendous prospect, TCW have carefully groomed Chord for success, gradually having him rise up the rankings. He's now an established major player and has finally won the TCW World Heavyweight title two months ago against Aaron Andrews. With wins against Danny Fonzarelli and Troy Tornado in the first two rounds of the tournament, the NXT in LINE member is definitely one of the favourites to win the competition.

”The Ace” Aaron Andrews
Aaron "Ace" Andrews is a talented wrestler from Los Angeles who was the first graduate of the highly exclusive TCW training program set up by Tommy Cornell. Seen as a potential future superstar from day one, Andrews was handled very carefully by TCW management and slowly built up over time. Now a multiple-time world champion a major draw for the company has left, “The Ace” had a pretty simple road to the quarter finals, as he had to defeat the rookie Prime Tme Jack Pryde and Doc Hammond.

TCW Texas Heritage Tournament - Day #4

Held in front of 10,000 people in a sold-out The Ranch of San Antonio, Texas

After a small performance by a minor band, pretty popular in hometown Texas, TCW presents the forth and final day of the Texas Heritage Tournament, with a video promo of the texan wrestling heritage and a recap of the first 3 days of the Tournament.

Quarter Finals: Eddie Peak vs Killer Shark
In an opener that has fantastic heat and decent wrestling, Eddie Peak scores the W against fellow Sinner Society’s member, the heavyweight Killer Shark, in 12 mins by pinfall with a Peak of Perfection. Still, Killer Shark battles up at the same level of his leader, showing some sign of potential solo star in the future. “The Hardcore Assassin” Eddie Peak reaches the Semi finals. [64]

Quarter Finals: Greg Gauge vs Freddy Huggins
In an exceptional match, TCW International champ Greg Gauge seems to be in control, before the Most Hated faction helps out leader Freddy Huggins. Joshua Taylor comes out to help friend Greg Gauge, as it seems like hostility between these two are over, and attacks Marc Speed and Matt Hocking, but eventually Roderick Remus and Prime Time Jack Pryde blindside him. At this point, Greg Gauge exits the ring to beatdown Huggins’ friends before returning to the squared circle. Here, after another distraction, this time from Laura Catherine Huggins, Greg Gauge ends up in a small package who gives Freddy Huggins the win: 1! .. 2! .. 3! [76]

Quarter Finals: Wolf Hawkins vs Mighty Mo
In an exceptional match, Mighty Mo advances to the Semi finals after defeating the 3-time TCW World Heavyweight champ, Wolf Hawkins, in 21 mins with a Plunging Spinebuster. A great match that deserves better announcing, something recurrent in TCW to be honest, both workers have some near falls, but eventually Mighty Mo scores the W after hitting his fantastic finisher. [77]

Quarter Finals: Aaron Andrews vs Jay Chord
The Quarter finals of the Texas Heritage Tournament gives us the singles rematch between World champ Jay Chord and former champ Aaron Andrews. In an exceptional match, “The Ace” defeats Jay Chord in 20 mins by pinfall with a Frog Splash, pinning the young champ for the 2nd time in the last weeks! Something that usually gives you a title shot. Aaron Andrews advances to the Semi finals, while is game over for the NXT in LINE guys, with Joshua Taylor eliminated in the Second round, while Greg Gauge and Jay Chord eliminated in the Quarter finals. [78]

Before moving to the Semi finals, in an entertaining segment backstage the Party Lovers grow in numbers. From being a tag team to become a stable, as “Dr. Love” Danny Fonzarelli and Edd Stone are joined by Tana The Mighty and Reijiro Hiraki. A nice faction in terms of entertainment and comedy, with some solid in-ring performances too. [67]

Semi Finals: Eddie Peak vs Freddy Huggins
In the first Semi final, Eddie Peak goes one on one against Freddy Huggins. In a bout that has fantastic heat and great wrestling, we witness a big brawl at ringside between the respective stables of Sinner Society and Most Hated, with Eddie Peak’s side who comes out on top thanks to Killer Shark and Titan brutal force. Still, in the ring is “The Gem” Freddy Huggins the one who takes advantage of the chaotic situation, pinning Eddie Peak with a quick pinfall after poking his eyes. Some how, some way, Freddy Huggins reaches the Final of the tournament. [79]

Semi Finals: Mighty Mo vs Aaron Andrews
In the second Semi final, the two biggest babyfaces in Total Championship Wrestling collide in an exceptional match that lasted 22 mins. “Ace” Aaron Andrews seems destined to win the bout, climbing the top rope to execute his Frog Splash, but get caught mid-air by Mighty Mo, who connects his Plunging Spinebuster: 1! .. 2! .. 3! Mighty Mo reaches the Finals after defeating a 3-time TCW World Heavyweight champ, but one wonders at what cost. Mo has to feel exhausted after this battle. After the match, Aaron Andrews goes over and shakes hands with Mighty Mo under a round of applause by the fan in attendance at The Ranch of San Antonio. [79]

And just before the main event, CEO Kyle Rhodes reveals the tournament trophy that will go to the winner. Well, not a trophy to be fair, but a championship belt! A strap that remembers the iconic and retired Texas Wrestling League championship, as a way to honour the late TWL company and its historical champions. [63]

Final: Freddy Huggins vs Mighty Mo

In an exceptional main event, “The Gem” Freddy Huggins tries to cheat in any way possibile to win it all, while Mighty Mo fights with pride and honour. Freddy Huggins dominates the first part of the match, as Mighty Mo really seems still exhausted by his previous bouts and has to deal also with Laura Catherine Huggins’ distractions. Still, 18 mins in the match, Mighty Mo builds his momentum that leads him to score the pin against Freddy Huggins with a Plunging Spinebuster. Mighty Mo wins the TCW Texas Heritage Tournament. [83]
