DESTINATION I

The Six-Way Singles match to decide the #1 contender for the GEW Global championship and to be in the Main Event at season finale event GEW Planet Wrestling is the heart and soul (and the Main Event) of GEW Destination. In the Pre-Main Event, GEW Global champion Chris Flynn defends against Jungle Lord. The GWA Pacific championship is also on the line as Davis Wayne Newton tries for a second time to defeat the champion Koshiro Ino, who defended sucessfully the alliance title at EX2010 Fallout against Tsuneyo Yanagimoto and at CILL El Día Nacional De La Lucha against Chess Maniac. Ernest Youngman has a new target in Bryan Vessey. In the Opener, the GEW Global Tag Team champions Long Beach Crew defend against The Rock City Stars.

HALLOWEEN PARTY 2020

The last event before GEW Planet Wrestling sure has a much more relaxed atmosphere, this really feels like a party before the season finale event. In the Main Event, a trios match where GEW Global champion Chris Flynn and Nelson Callum will give us an appetizer of what will be the Main Event at GEW Planet Wrestling, but this time Flynn joins forces with GEW Global Tag Team champions and Callum with #1 contenders Devil May Care. The GWA Pacific championship Koshiro Ino, who has completed  12 defenses after beating Mario Da Silva at ACPW's Blast Radius, now defends the title against fellow japanese wrestler Toshiharu Hyobanshi. Davis Wayne Newton continues his journey as a single competitor, this time going against Joffy Laine. Ernest Youngman was frustrated after not being able to win any title and now is paying the frustration with the man that has given all those opportunities, the GEW's CEO Bryan Vessey, as they are meeting in a Submission Match, this is not a time for gratitude. In the Opener, Perfect Score want to demonstrate they are the number one faction in GEW when they face Craving Kangaroos tonight in a 4 vs 3 handicap match, where Craving Kangaroos have superiority in numbers.

DAVIS WAYNE NEWTON vs JUNGLE LORD

In the Opener, Perfect Score justify their loss against Craving Kangaroos because it was a handicap match as they have one less member than the australian faction, who come from backstage to tell them to search for someone for GEW Planet Wrestling to have a 4vs4 match, so they can't make anymore excuses if they lose.

THE WILD CATS vs RAPID ATTACK vs THE CANADIAN BLONDES vs STEALTH PHOENIX

RAPID ATTACK vs FELIPE CABALLERO & EL HIJO DEL NEUTRON

In the Pre-Main Event, Davis Wayne Newton gives a solid promo to declare he considers clear that he made the right choice when he broke his tag team with Rob Reynolds as he was an obstacle more than a teammate and that this time he won't fail and will become the second GWA Pacific champion and end Koshiro Ino's unbeaten streak.

Craving Kangaroos' The Kangaroos (Jesse Tasman & Rob Edwards) and Perfect Score's Flex and Pecs (Frederique & Handsome Stranger) warm up for the 4vs4 match between the two factions.

VIDEO CHRIS FLYNN AND NELSON CALLUM ENTRANCES

Nelson Callum lost the title at GEW Summercard and now wants it back in this very much-anticipated rematch. Callum got the ticket to this Main Event by defeating five other top wrestlers in the company in the Six Way Destination match at GEW Destination.  But Flynn is the GEW Global champion, the man that turned down TCW's renewal offer and became the best paid wrestler in GEW. Flynn had won all of his matches since he signed for the company. All matches mean all, we aren't talking only about singles competition, winning the GEW Global belt during the process... until last event when Callum managed to pin Aces High in a trios match at GEW Halloween Party.

CHRIS FLYNN def. NELSON CALLUM

#6: GWA PACIFIC CHAMPIONSHIP

KOSHIRO INO ©️ vs TOSHIHARU HYOBANSHI vs DAVIS WAYNE NEWTON

Koshiro Ino has been unstoppable since he landed and not only for the GEW roster. At EX2010 All Out War 11 Ino defeated both Masao Tsubouchi and Tsuneyo Yanagimoto (two of EX2010 top stars) and at ACPW's Sacrifice Ino defeated Kenny Callaway (also one of the top wrestlers in ACPW). Ino has completed 15 defenses while defendinf the GWA Pacific championship in all of the four companies in the Global Wrestling Alliance (GEW, CILL, EX2010 and ACPW). Toshiharu Hyobanshi had spent all of his career in Japan when his contract with BHOTWG was completed and he became a free agent. GEW signed Hyobanshi and the 43 year old started his american career. A few months later, Hyobanshi has stablished himself as a feared competitor among the roster. Davis Wayne Newton started his career in GEW as a tag team member of Reynolds & Newton, they became the first GEW Global Tag Team champions and after 10 defenses they lost the titles. Newton blame Reynolds for their losses, decided to try as a single competitor and we can't say he hasn't delivered as a single act. Both Hyobanshi and Newton had their opportunity for the GWA Pacific but this time Koshiro Ino has a triple threat match ahead.

DAVIS WAYNE NEWTON def. KOSHIRO INO and TOSHIHARU HYOBANSHI

#5GEW GLOBAL TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

LONG BEACH CREW (ACES HIGH & CALI SLICK) ©️ vs DEVIL MAY CARE (ACID II & STUNTMAN)

Long Beach Crew are a synonym of tag team champions no matter if you read this in IPW, GSW or now in GEW. But this time Devil May Care seem to reach the season finale event on their prime, achieving big wins and what is more important defeating Long Beach Crew in a trios match at GEW Halloween Party, but this time they need to do this without Callum to help.

Wolfsbaine and Keenan had a match at GEW Summercard. That time Keenan won. Wolfsbaine hasn't forgotten. Not many tag teams have been in so many stories and feuds as Rapid Attack in GEW and this time they are caught in a rivalty with El Hijo Del Neutron and Felipe Caballero as mexican wrestlers want to be in the spotlight in this one too.

The Wild Cats won a Four-Way Tag Team match to represent GEW in this match to decide the first GWA Tag Team champions. Now they have to face the chosen tag teams from the other three companies. CILL's Captain Lucha and Dragon Del Arco Iris Jr are a big opposition as they are well stablished names in mexican lucha libre, but at the same time they are individuals with little tag team experience. ACPW's Grimm & Gram have the same problem, Grimm Quibble is currently the ACPW Canadian Regional champion and Gram Gorman is the ACPW Junior Heavyweight champion (the most prestigious title in the company). It feels they lack experience as a tag team to win this Four-Way, but then they were ACPW Tag Team champions in 2018. This is not the case of EX2010's tag team as Kaii Hanari and Kokei Shoda have been together as DISCO Boys for a long time and are 3-time EXODUS World Junior Heavyweight Tag Team champions.

#2BRYAN VESSEY vs ERNEST YOUNGMAN

Probably GEW's CEO Bryan Vessey didn't expect a 'thank you' from Ernest Youngman when he gave him all those opportunities to compete for the GEW Global and GWA Pacific championships, but certainly what he didn't expect was to be the next target for Youngman's delusions of grandeur. Youngman blames the CEO for those lost matches This is the third part of this very technical trilogy that already gave us a great submission match at GEW Halloween Party and the CEO seeks the first win.

image.jpeg.348fddc7f448b11cc99e92e8f7ef7057.jpeg

At GEW Halloween Party, Craving Kangaroos took a big win against Perfect Score. But soon after that Perfect Score justified the loss saying it wasn't fair as it really was a 4vs3 handicap match as they have one less member than the australian faction. The aussies were quick to tell Perfect Score to seek a teammate for a rematch. Perfect Score announced they had already chosen a teammate but they won't reveal his identity until the match. We all know that all of the members of Perfect Score have worked for the biggest companies in this business and have strong connections in the wrestling industry, but it was hard to guess that Rajah, who has just left USPW, was their mysterious pick to appear in this opening match.

PRE SEASON 2 PRESS CONFERENCE

GEW's CEO Bryan Vessey announced Season 2 kick off is next Thursday with the 44th episode of Generation.

On December 31st is the last event of the year and the first of the new season: GEW Times Square End Of Year

On January 3rd we have the first event of 2021: GEW Mayhem II

After a short presentation Bryan Vessey accepted a few questions.

- How do you rate the first season?

I think we exceeded expectations with some remarkable events like Reckoning, Summercard or Destination, to name some of them, our TV show Generation worked well to develop our stories and a big season finale event with Planet Wrestling. We made great additions to the roster during the season like Koshiro Ino or Chris Flynn.

- Are we going to see many new faces in the roster? Will we see some wrestlers leave the company?

Some wrestlers' contracts are close to completion and we are close to complete some contract negotiations to bring some new faces, but I'd say, expect changes to be gradually more than a revolution.

- What's next for GEW?

We are the 6th company in USA in popularity, but we want to be the 4th in the short term, to position the company as the alternative to the big three (USPW, SWF and TCW). But as our name suggest, we want to be a global company, we'll continue to increase our popularity in the rest of the world. The Global Wrestling Alliance has been a tool to increase international recognition for all the members and we have some ideas to discuss in the next GWA meeting.

USPW: Packer is gone! Shane Sneer is the new CEO!

In an astonishing change in the course of events, we learned Reverie had decided to stop showing USPW's content on their platform after Allen Packer's internal investigation concluded in a giant financial scandal.

USPW American Wrestling and USPW Night Of Action, the two 'A' TV shows of the company, have gone off air. The only TV show that remains active is USPW Into Pieces, their 'B' show, thank to broadcasting deals with other platforms. And what may be even worse, USPW currently doesn't have any deal to show their events as they were exclusively shown on Reverie.

With all this in mind, a group of investors contacted Shane Sneer to make an offer to buy the company. They wanted someone with a strong relationship with the history of the company, credibility and a solid background. After initially refusing, Shane Sneer accepted.

Shane Sneer was a veteran of the American wrestling scene who is probably best remembered by modern fans for his lengthy run with USPW where he was the premier manager and the head booker up until his departure in 2014. Such was his influence on the company over so many years that he was inducted into their Hall Of Fame in 2019 after he'd announced that he was retiring from the industry.

64 year old Sneer is in a really difficult position. It is believed that the new budget to run the company will be no more than 10 Million dollars. He's got no broadcasting deals to show their 'A' TV shows and events. The prestige and the momentum of the company are on their lowest rates since many many years, maybe have never been worse.

The patience of the locker room with this situation ran out days ago. Many are counting the days to fly away. It was revealed a few days ago that 24 out of 25 most popular wrestlers in the world work for USPW, with Nicky Champion  working for EILL being the exception, who was until las year their most popular wrestler.

The two other companies of the 'big three' SWF and TCW will try to land many of USPW wrestlers in the next months, but also big foreign companies like EILL (remember Nicky Champion), BHOTWG (they signed Brandon James recently), 21CW (they sure would love to have the Cornell brothers and Leigh Burton back), even CWA and... are we sure GEW is out of the equation?

Woah, that's going to mix things up heading into 2021 and could potentially open a massive door for GEW to at least steal some solid talents, if not slip into the big three.

Should've seen the signs though. Nicky Champion refusing to sign while they somehow pulled the money for the likes of Jay Chord and the Cornells.

MAYHEM II

Amid a week that many specialists believe could potentially change the landscape of the wrestling industry and even start a new era, with constant news about the uncertainty of the future of USPW, the first event of the year takes place in Portland with an attendance record. Last year's Mayhem I finished with a 10 Man Mayhem were Bryan Vessey became the first GEW Global champion. This year the Main Event is a 10 Man Mayhem too, but this time the prize is a title match for the GEW Global championship at GEW Make The Rules. GEW Global champion Chris Flynn is confident to defend his title at GEW Make The Rules, or could James Prudence steal the show (and the gold) in the Pre-Main Event? Davis Wayne Newton defends the GWA Pacific championship against Island Boy Apollo. Koshiro Ino and Joffy Laine in a rematch were Ino is favorite to repeat victory. In the Opener, The Canadian Blondes team up with Perfect Score's Flex and Pecs (Frederique and Handsome Stranger) to face the australian quartet Craving Kangaroos.

In the Opener, Davis Wayne Newton brags about his recent defences as GWA Pacific champion at CILL Frenético against Angel Of Mercy, at ACPW's Legacies against Kenny Callaway and Mario Da Silva and at CILL Redención against Extraordinario Jr. Newton keeps bragging and says he injured Island Boy Apollo on purpose in the last event and that he had humiliated Apollo in his homeland Puerto Rico before. The crowd reacted booing Newton during the entire promo.

USPW: CRISIS UPDATE

After the financial scandal that lead to Reverie's cancellation of all relations with USPW and Allen Packer selling the company to a group of investors behind former USPW's head booker Shane Sneer, the unstoppable news flow continues.

Friday, Week 2, January 2021

image.png.f8bf7ec12dab5e15888604ce20c3b1b7.png

That day pessimism took over the news and now these statements seem to be exaggerated, although still nothing can be completely ruled out.

USPW FORCED TO WITHDRAW OFFER TO ROGUE

Rogue's contract was close to completion and SWF had decided they weren't going to renew it, so Rogue was free to negotiate with any company. USPW had offered a contract to Rogue before the scandal and was the most probable destination for him.

The new CEO Shane Sneer was forced by the new financial situation of the company to withdraw the bid for Rogue.

Finally BHOTWG signed Rogue to an Exclusive Written contract worth $112740 per month. BHOTWG is taking an aggressive stance on the market, as the japanese company signed Brandon James a few weeks before.

USPW COULDN'T KEEP RICK LAW

Rick Law's contract was up for renewal and the company was confident until the events that unfold the week before. It was clear that the new offer the company could put together wasn't even going to be taken into consideration by Rick Law.

A bidding war between TCW, SWF, BHOTWG, EILL and 21CW started.

TCW has reached an agreement to sign Rick Law to an Exclusive Written contract worth $114770 in a deal that the company believes can be a game changer for them.

SWF FOCUS ON THEIR OWN RENEWALS

The timing of USPW's scandal seems that hasn't been the best for SWF. The contracts of Remo Richardson and The Crippler were reaching the limit and it seems their top priority was to extend the contracts of these key members of their roster. Apparently their rivals TCW did their best to take the occasion. Other observers believe SWF doesn't want to give potential investors the perception that they could make the same mistakes that USPW made, now that many specialists think the company is the favorite to dominate the industry. We'll see if SWF focus now on signing wrestlers from USPW.

GEW HAS REACHED AN AGREEMENT WITH A USPW WRESTLER

Bryan Vessey said in a recent wrestling podcast that the company has reached an agreement with a current member of the USPW roster. Vessey refused to give a name alleging legal reasons but said that "this is the first time that managers of USPW wrestlers are calling me and is not the opposite".

MAKE THE RULES II

We should have the Flynn vs Callum rematch for the GEW Global championship after Callum won the Mayhem Battle Royal at GEW Mayhem II, but Callum picked up a minor injury in the last episode of Generation and now the match will happen at GEW Trust The Process. In the Main Event, Long Beach Crew defend the GEW Global Tag Team championship against Rapid Attack, two tag teams that have already faced this month in what was a very good match in Generation episode #48. In the Pre-Main Event, GWA Pacific champion Davis Wayne Newton and his big ego defends against Kip Keenan. The GWA Tag Team championship is on the line, as japanese tag team Stealth Phoenix (Edo Phoenix IV and Stealth Z) take on the champions The Wild Cats, who had successful defences at ACPW's Legacy against OMG (Kamikaze and Devin Reynaud), CILL Redención against Fallen Angel & Magik and at EX2010 Apex Predator against The Top Dogs (Kuemon Hotta and Naoya Shinozaki). Logan Wolfsbaine and CEO Bryan Vessey meet in a Submission Match. In the Opener, a revitalized version of Craving Kangaroos after Rob Edwards has taken a leading role against Perfect Score and Rob Reynolds.

JUNGLE LORD HAS LEFT GEW

GEW has announced that Jungle Lord is no longer part of the roster.

Lord's contract expired and the general feeling was that his role this year wasn't as important as it was in 2020. Also Lord had signed for FCW, what was completely normal as he had a non exclusive contract with GEW, but some saw this movement as a sign that his commitment wasn't as strong as it once had been.

CEO Bryan Vessey spoke in an interview that "Jungle Lord will always be part of the history of GEW as an important piece of the first season of the company".

TOSHIHARU HYOBANSHI vs BRYAN VESSEY

In the Opener, Ernest Youngman rants about Kip Keenan detailing how he doesn't like his hair, his stylish beard and saying he is no more than a pretty guy for occasional wrestling fans like the ones that fill the arena. Later Kip Keenan is responding to his comments backstage when Youngman appears to attack Keenan.

vs RAJAH & PERFECT SCORE (FREDERIQUE & JAMES PRUDENCE & HANDSOME STRANGER)

In the Opener, Nelson Callum says he got injured because he gave his 100% in a trios match prior to an event, so tonight he is not going to fight and everyone who wants to see him against Flynn should buy a ticket for GEW Trust The Process, where he is going to recover the GEW Global championship and become the first 2-time champion.
