Calling the action: Des Greeves, Martin Bloydell and Jeff Nova

Overall Rating: 69

We opened the show in a chaotic scene, where members of Edward Cornell’s House of Business stable were fighting with fan favourite friends: Beast Bantom and Roly Muckletruck…

Beast Bantom 2.jpgRoly Muckletruck.jpg Viktor Beskov 2.jpgYuri Iliakov.jpgBW Eddie.jpg

Cornell had evidently sent his troops to attack his big opponent ahead of their Main Event tonight… but Bantom seemed to be in trouble as the show began… Roly Muckletruck was the difference maker though… He cracked a FULL can of his favourite IRN BRU soft drink over BW Eddie’s head… and the youngster hit the floor… The Red Devils (Viktor Beskov and Yuri Iliakov) picked their comrade up, and pulled him away from the fight… Roly helped Beast to his feet, but he was clearly hurt by the altercation…

Cain Carlisle.jpg21CW U vs.jpgJ-B Cash.jpg

‘Captain Crash’ Cain Carlisle [vs] J-B Cash

Cain Carlisle was buzzing to be in the opening match tonight. The 23 year old is extremely happy to be signed to a long-term contract with 21CW, and he tries to win every match by throwing his body around like it’s a weapon. J-B Cash is experienced enough to handle a youngster with a lot of spit and vinegar. He used to be one, after all. He used Carlisle’s momentum against him and then put him down with the ‘Cash Crash’ (float over DDT).

We cut backstage next, to Melanie Francis, chasing down the 21CW World Champion: Edward Cornell…

image.jpeg image.jpeg

Melanie Florence: “Mr. Cornell… Mr. Cornell… Are you worried that you, and the House of Business are making too many enemies with your actions tonight…?! Doomsday still has a match against Aldous Blackfriar to come too…!!”

Edward Cornell: “Listen… I don’t want us to get involved in HellBound stuff… That’s a ‘faction war’ I don’t want… Doomsday and Blackfriar will do their thing… Beast Bantom and I will do ours… and that’s it…”

Melanie Florence: “But sending your ‘boys’ after Bantom and Roly Muckletruck…?! Surely that’s provoking ANOTHER enemy…?!”

Cornell was taken aback… he asked Melanie Florence what she was talking about…!? He said that he hadn’t sent anyone after Bantom and Muckletruck… and it was obvious he was telling the truth… He stormed off to find out what had happened…!!

image.jpeg

Sebastian Koller 2.jpgChristopher Lister.jpgJase Cole.jpg21CW U vs.jpgLuke Cool.jpgCompton Valence.jpgLangton Herring.jpg

Sebastian Koller & Kenobi High [vs] Luke Cool & The Demolishers

Compton Valence and Langton Herring of the Demolishers isolated Jase Cole early on, with Luke Cool barking orders at the big youngsters. Eventually, Cole would tag Christopher Lister in, and the Kenobi High veteran started cleaning up. Sebastian Koller was then brought in, and the momentum was fully in the good guys’ corner. Eventually, it would lead to a ‘Hamburg Rock City’ Curb Stomp from Koller onto Herring to get the win!

We cut to a pre-taped video next, of the Men of Steal (Mark Adonis and Mass Hulk) at the Batchelor Pad that the two 23 year olds share…

Mark Adonis Suit.jpgMass Hulk.jpg

Adonis and Hulk said they weren’t worried about the tag team of Absolutely Flawless: Lance Martin and Kelly Martin… The Martin Twins are mad that The Men of Steal attacked their legendary manager Leo Price…

Mark Adonis: “The Martin Twins… Do you know where we live…?! No… So I suggest you DO one…!!”

Mass Hulk: “The only advantage they have, is the element of surprise… We see ‘em around the building at a show, and they’re DONE…”

Mark Adonis: “But they can’t get to us here…”

And with that… there was a knock at the door… Adonis and Hulk paused… looked at each other, and then agreed that there was no way that the twins could have come to their house… They laughed it off, but both men still went to the door… They opened it… and…

image.jpegLance Martin Champ.jpgKelly Martin Champ.jpg

Leo Price had found their house… and he’d brought the Martin Twins with him…!! Absolutely Flawless burst through the door, and jumped on Mass Hulk… while Leo Price traded punches with Mark Adonis…!! Hulk was thrown through a nearby door, as the Twins jumped on Adonis, who had just put Price down with a kick to the mid-section… The fight ended when Mass Hulk’s head was bounced off a wall, and then slammed into a mirror… smashing it, and cutting him in multiple places on his head…!!

image.jpeg

Another video aired next… showing the feud between Apollo Prince and Phillip Cooper…

Apollo Prince.jpg Phillip Cooper.jpg

It’s hardly a ‘blood feud’, but they’re both similar in their love for material items… They teamed up for a tag team match a few weeks ago, but did not get along… Then they fought backstage about it a week later, and Cooper ripped Prince’s expensive shirt… Prince took it upon himself to destroy and flush one of Cooper’s expensive hats down the toilet…

Now, the two men are on a collision course… and we learned on the video that the two would go 1 on 1 next week… The loser will PAY for both the shirt, and the hat…!! Prince versus Cooper… next week…!!

image.jpeg

Aldous Blackfriar.jpg21CW U vs.jpgDoomsday 2.jpg

‘His Satanic Majesty’ Aldous Blackfriar [vs] Doomsday

Aldous was in for a fight here against the near 300lb powerhouse. He tried to get in and get out as quickly as he could, and it worked in the end. Just when he was being overwhelmed with throws and slams, Blackfriar managed to lock in his ‘Gloomweaver Clutch’ (Tazmission) finisher. Doomsday had no choice but to tap before he napped.

40

Grave Digger.jpgBlackheart.jpg

We saw Grave Digger and Blackheart sat high up in the stands, watching the action… Aldous didn’t see them, but they looked impressed by his win… although in truth, they didn’t show all that much emotion…

image.jpeg

Backstage, ‘Mile High’ Adam Matravers was sat with his wife Phoebe Plumridge… he had his head, in his hands…!!

Adam Matravers.jpgPhoebe Plumridge.jpg

Plumridge tried to pick her hubby’s mood up… but he was devastated after his Main Event loss to Sebastian Koller last week in the Main Event of United…

Adam Matravers: “Maybe I don’t have it anymore Pheebs…!? Now that I’m 40… Maybe I’m past it…?!”

Phoebe Plumridge: “Adam… puuuh-lease…!! 40 is the new 30…!! You’re better than ever… You just need a confidence boost, that’s all…!!”

Matravers agreed… but before they could talk more, the aforementioned Sebastian Koller walked in…

Sebastian Koller 2.jpg

Koller told Matravers that he respects him immensely… and wants to team up with him in NEXT week’s Main Event… against Edward Cornell and BW Eddie…!! Matravers gladly accepted… and the two fan favourites shook hands…

image.jpeg

Rolling Johnny Stones.jpg21CW U vs.jpgimage.jpeg

Rolling Johnny Stones [vs] ‘The Anarchist’ Antithesis

Two veterans doing battle here – and it was almost impossible to call the winner throughout it. Antithesis causes chaos wherever he goes, and picked up the pace late on. Stones couldn’t keep up, and would eventually succumb to the ‘Full Metal Jacket’ (Crossface Chickenwing) and tap out.

53

image.jpeg

Backstage, the tag team of Beau Boulder and Darin Flynn bumped into a wounded BW Eddie… The House of Business member had a bad cut on his head, after being hit by a full can of IRN BRU by Roly Muckletruck earlier in the show…

Beau Boulder.jpgDarin Flynn.jpg BW Eddie.jpg

Beau Boulder: “Eddie… Just so you know… We have eyes, and ears, everywhere…”

Darin Flynn: “Yeah, we know what’s been going on… The Red Devils…?! They’re up to something…”

Eddie held his head… and shook it, not knowing what to make of the detective duo… He reacted negatively, laughing it off… then suddenly pulled the fan favourites into a nearby room…

BW Eddie: “You know something don’t you…!! You’ve GOT to help me…!! I’m in deep here!! I don’t know who to trust!!”

Beau Boulder: “Oh… we can help… but we’re not cheap my man…”

Darin Flynn: “We can get some dirt on those guys… find out what they’re up to… Come to our office, and we’ll discuss prices…”

image.jpeg

image.jpeg21CW U vs.jpgChuck Frisby.jpg w/ Gulliver.jpg

‘The Real Angel of the North’ [vs] ‘The Unsung Hero’ Chucky Frisby w/ Gulliver

A quick match here, as Chuck Frisby made use of his ‘muscle’ at ringside – Gulliver. Frisby distracted the referee, and ‘The Icelandic Body’ slid into the ring to hit his ‘Gulliver’s Travels’ Code Breaker!! All Frisby had to do, was scramble into the cover, and get the win!

30

image.jpeg

Backstage, a furious Edward Cornell confronted Viktor Beskov and Yuri Iliakov of the Red Devils…

image.jpeg Viktor Beskov 2.jpgYuri Iliakov.jpg

Edward Cornell: “You guys… You GUYS…!! Do you know, what INSUBORDINATION means?! Attacking Roly Muckletruck and Beast Bantom like that… Do you have ANY idea how many enemies I have right now?! I DON’T need two more…!!”

Beskov interrupted him… and told him he’s shouting at the wrong people…!! He said that it was BW Eddie who told them to come and find Beast and Roly with him… He said that Eddie had told them, that Edward Cornell himself sent down the orders…!! Cornell didn’t have time to argue or protest… The confused 21CW World Champion’s music hit… and he had to go to the ring for his Main Event…!! Against Beast Bantom…!!

Beast Bantom 2.jpg21CW U vs.jpgimage.jpeg

Beast Bantom [vs] ‘All Business’ Edward Cornell

A great Main Event here, featuring two very in-form competitors. Beast Bantom is undefeated since returning from his absence, and Cornell, as 21CW World Champion has only lost tag matches in the 7 months since he became Champion! He’s not been pinned or submitted in any of those matches! Cornell was out there alone for the most part tonight, and Bantom was able to use his size and power to good effect in his comeback, and Cornell couldn’t handle him. Just as it looked like Bantom was closing in on a victory, Cornell got some help, in the form of The Red Devils!! Viktor Beskov and Yuri Iliakov stomped to the ring, but they were jumped by Roly Muckletruck!! Bantom realised he had to get involved, so he climbed down and helped his friend fight the Russians!! Once he was finished, he slid back into the ring, and Cornell impressively hit the ‘Black Lightning Bomb’ (Blue Lightning Bomb) on the 320lber! Big win for the Champ!

70

Roly Muckletruck slid into the ring and chased Cornell off… and asked for a microphone as he helped Bantom to his feet…

Beast Bantom 2.jpgRoly Muckletruck.jpg image.jpegViktor Beskov 2.jpgYuri Iliakov.jpg

Roly Muckletruck: “Aiii, Rrred Devils, uh…?! Two, beg, bad, ba*****s… Weeell… WE… are two beg, bad, ba*****s too… an’ next week… We’re gonna meet yaaz in tha ring… Beskov and Iliakov versus BEAST Bantom… and ROLY Muckletruck!!”

Calling the action: Steve Smith and Dane Rowley

Overall Rating: 73

The show opened with a video package, highlighting some of the key matches of the show ahead…

Bedlam versus War Machine, in a fiery re-match from their first encounter on Kingdom… which Bedlam somewhat surprisingly won…

Tommy Cornell versus Loxley Robbins, is a match that has been coming for weeks… Ever since the Ozzie Invasion arrived, they’ve targeted beating Cornell as the ‘Marquee Win’ they need…

and Buff Martinez versus Wade Orson for the 21CW World Heavyweight Title, in a re-match from World War… Orson was beloved by the fans… and wanted Buff’s respect, and a pre-match handshake… which he got… Now, Martinez has earned the love of the fans… Orson wants nothing but the Title… and is even mocking his own actions when asking for a handshake!! At World War, Orson got a knee injury… Martinez didn’t see it… and he won the match soon after… a move that Orson felt there was a complete lack of respect shown…!! This feud has boiled over to include Leigh Burton… Kathleen Lee… and the entire Lee FamiLee…!!

image.jpeg

image.jpeg

Daniel Black Francis and Kevin Jones are two staples of 21CW. With 14, and 12 years with 21CW respectively, the two are veterans of the company, and both know what they’re doing in the ring regardless of who they’re working with. ‘D-B-F’ started brightly here, getting the crowd behind him with his fun-loving antics. Jones realised he wasn’t going to match the Champ’s intensity, so he kept rolling out under the bottom rope, and ‘resting’ outside the ring. This drew the referee’s count, and also made the crowd boo him loudly over and over again. He didn’t care. He’s said previously that he doesn’t care about the fans. As soon as Francis became frustrated and angered, Jones was on top of him! He pulled Francis out under the bottom rope, and slammed him into the ring steps. He climbed back in, and the crowd booed again. He had the higher ground, and when ‘D-B-F’ came back in, Jones jumped on him! He dominated from there, but Francis found a way back in to it right at the end. For the finish, Jones came in for a spear in the corner, and Francis hopped over him, before grabbing him for the ‘Rasta Lock’ sleeper hold! Jones held on as long as he could but eventually tapped out!

56

After the match, Jones sat in the ring with his hands on his knees… He looked dejected, but was about to leave… when all the lights in the arena went out…

image.jpeg

When the lights came back on, a human-sized birthday present was in the ring next to him… Jones immediately backed off, as if he knew what, or who, this was…!! Fireworks popped on the stage, and all four sides of the sides of the present fell down… with small flumes of smoke to cover what was inside… Once the smoke cleared, all that was left was a much, much, smaller present… Jones approached it cautiously…

He removed the bow on top, and opened it up… The camera peered in over his shoulder, and all it was was a note...

With a four letter word on it…

It read:

“FOOL”

Jones fell backwards when he saw it… and sat back down on the mat… He was in shock, his eyes widened… He looked around frantically, and then climbed out of the ring, and jogged to the back holding the note, and looking at it and looking around over and over…!!

image.jpeg

Next up, we learned about a match coming up for Kingdom this week…

Buck Winchester.jpgA Local.jpg Mark Misery.jpgSmiling John Smithie.jpgimage.jpeg

‘Cowboy’ Buck Winchester was caught saying ‘Howdy’ to Vicki Company, by her husband Mark Misery… and so Misery and his tag team partner ‘Smiling’ John Smithie have challenged Cowboy to find a partner… and face the tag team known as ‘Misery Loves Company’…

image.jpeg

image.jpeg

The veteran Stevie Stoat may outweigh Landon Mallory by 25lbs, and he may have 15 years more experience than the South African too. But Mallory is quicker than just about anyone, and can outjump men much taller than him. He leapfrogged, and dodged Stoat’s barrage of offense, looking to avenge his loss to ‘Smasher’ on Kingdom from a couple of weeks ago. Stoat’s attacks are very much ‘in front’, and charging forward, so Mallory just had to wait for his opening. Eventually, he hit the ‘Springbok Ram’ Spear and picked up the biggest win of his 21CW career so far.

58

image.jpeg

Backstage, Mo Adebola had an interview with a top talent, who doesn’t have a match tonight at Head 2 Head…

Mo Adebola 3.jpg Leigh Burton 2.jpg

Mo Adebola: “I am joined by… ‘The British Lion’… Leigh Burton! And Leigh… I wanted to get your thoughts on… The Main Event tonight… featuring your friend and mine… Wade Orson… challenging for the 21CW World Heavyweight Title… against Buff Martinez!!”

Burton smiled… and said he was excited to watch his friend become World Champion for the first time…

Leigh Burton: “Wade Orson is my BEST friend… And I’m going to make SURE, he wins the Title tonight… I’ll stay away from the ring… because Orson doesn’t need me… but I’m helping with his preparation…!!”

Adebola thanked Burton for his time, and we headed back to the ring for an intriguing encounter…

image.jpeg

image.jpeg

Bedlam and War Machine had an absolute barn-burner on Kingdom a few weeks ago, and Bedlam won it with his ‘Mind Strangler’ seated choke! Tonight, War Machine sought the counsel of his manager: ‘The Executive Consultant’ Cliff King throughout the early stages. King seemed to advise that he stand in front of Bedlam, and take the onslaught aimed at him – rather than try to chase his smaller, more agile opponent. At 295lbs, Bedlam is hardly a high-flier like Welsh Dragon, but he moves a lot faster than the 465lb monster War Machine. Once the big man stood up and held the centre of the ring, Bedlam seemed to tire a little quicker than he did. For the finish, Bedlam attempted the ‘Mind Strangler’, and tried to pull War Machine down to the canvas. But War Machine was ready for it, and got his arm under his chin, making it impossible for Bedlam to lock his hands!! He pulled the ‘Most Dangerous Man in Britain’ up, and dropped him with a ‘European Uppercut’!! Bedlam staggered, and came off the ropes – where War Machine was ready to hit his ‘Choke Bomb’ (Batista Bomb) finisher!! War Machine made it one win a piece between the two fighters.

56

image.jpeg

21CW Kingdom General Manager Colin Chalke was backstage next, with an announcement…

image.jpeg

In truth, it was only part of an announcement… with the real announcement coming on this week’s Kingdom…

Colin Chalke: “On Kingdom… We are going to find out what the TWO World Title Matches will be at Head 2 Head…!! And I promise… You’re going to LOVE the announcements…!!”

It’s a case of ‘wait and see’ on that one…

image.jpeg

image.jpeg

These two teams couldn’t be any more different. The Underdogs are fan favourites, who know how to get the crowd behind them. Whereas The Brat Pack are instantly hateable. Artemis Eyre-Rochester and Thurston Darcy III act like they’re better than everyone else, from the fans, to their opponents. The arrogant rich kids also used Blake Belushi to good effect at ringside. The cocky ‘Beautiful’ Australian kicked Michael X hard on the front of his knee, while he was outside the ring. The referee was distracted by The Brat Pack in the ring, but heard X yell out in pain. He thought he’d had a knee injury due to stepping awkwardly or something, but Belushi’s well-placed kick badly affected him. A late tag to Joe Simpson helped, but in the melee that happened at the end of the match, Michael X was not able to help, or walk. Simpson was put down by the double-teaming of Artemis and Thurston. For the finish, they hit their ‘Bail Out’ (cross body from Thurston) onto the ‘Brat Packer’ (Back Stabber from Artemis). Michael X was almost useless, but Belushi still felt the need to hold his leg and stop him from breaking up the resulting pin!

53

image.jpeg

We cut to the back next, and found Buff Martinez sat with his manager Kathleen Lee… He was getting into the right ‘head space’ ahead of his World Heavyweight Title defence against Wade Orson… which is coming up soon…

image.jpegimage.jpeg

Buff was focused, and Kathleen wasn’t saying a word to him… but then the door burst open, and in came The Lee FamiLee…

Andrew Lee 2.jpgGorilla Lee.jpgJK Lee.jpg

The FamiLee came in doing a ‘Conga’… singing, and humming the tune… and they stopped when they got to Buff, who found it hard not to laugh… The group held their position, and kept hold of each other’s hips…

Gorilla Lee: “Hey… Buff… Do youuuu… CONGA?!”

Martinez shook his head and rolled his eyes… but a smile crept across his face again… Kathleen Lee stood up, shrugged her shoulders, and grabbed JK Lee’s hips…!! Buff started laughing now, and soon he was up and holding on to ‘Auntie Kathy’s’ hips… The Conga Line began again…!!

image.jpeg

image.jpeg

Really sloppy match here, due to the lack of chemistry between the two of them. Tommy Cornell shone early on, and had a lot of offense. He even had time to grab Blake Belushi, and throw him into the ring steps, and then over the announce desk!! He landed hard on the floor at the bottom of the commentator’s chairs, and Cornell then got back to work in the ring. However, Loxley Robbins was ready for him. The blonde Ozzie stamped on Cornell’s arm, and began a tirade of offense on the veteran’s elbow!! Cornell was in trouble. Robbins couldn’t stop kicking, stomping, and attacking the elbow and the wrist. Cornell kept trying to hide his arm, and cover up, but Robbins used it again and again! Even moves like the ‘rip chord knee’ hurt the arm in the pull, and the knee connected with the bicep! ‘Rough Justice’ got back into it though. He shook off the arm injury, and managed to get back on top. He went for the ‘Guilt Trip’ Russian Leg Sweep, but his arm couldn’t hook Loxley where he wanted him, and had to shake it off again. Cornell remained in control, hitting a lariat with his strong arm, followed by a back elbow with the same. He went for the ‘Guilt Trip’ again, but this time, he was right by the ropes – and Blake Belushi had been back at ringside for a while!! He grabbed Cornell’s leg. The referee never saw it! Cornell was furious, and despite his experience, he let it affect him. Loxley kicked his arm once again, and then hit the ‘Butterfly Powerbomb’!! Cornell was down, Robbins fell into the cover, and Cornell was beaten!!

64

image.jpeg

We cut backstage for some more news about the Cornell Cup – the next co-branded 21CW pay-per-view…

Ricky Storm 2.jpgSifu 2.jpg

The tag team: Crouching Storm, Hidden Sifu were stood, facing the camera…

Ricky Storm: “This week… THIS week… on Kingdom and United… we’re going to find out the Tournament Brackets for the third annual Cornell Cup… And once we’re confirmed as entrants in the Tournament… Everyone else’s chances will BEEEE…”

Sifu: “OOOOO-VERRRR…!!”

image.jpeg

image.jpeg

Buff Martinez and Wade Orson have amazing chemistry, and ended this solid show on a high note as a result. Orson was against the ropes early on, as ‘The Barcelona Bull’ came out of the corner fired up. He seemed in a great mood, and was using plenty of punches to the body and upper arm area. Orson was covering well, so he couldn’t be hit in the face, but he was constantly ducking his head out under the top rope, forcing the referee to come between them to back Martinez up. After a few minutes of this, Leigh Burton came to the ring, even though he said he wouldn’t. ‘The British Lion’ was there to support Orson, and he argued with Kathleen Lee early on. Buff was a little distracted, and he didn’t see the oldest trick in the books. As the referee backed him up for what felt like the tenth time, Orson used a thumb to his eye, and the Spanish 21CW World Heavyweight Champion was now in real trouble! Orson jumped on him, and used his 276lb frame to smother Martinez. He used holds, including headlocks, and arm wrenches – and put all of his weight on top of Buff. He also threw him to ‘The Lion’ at ringside a couple of times for some extra damage. But Kathleen Lee put a stop to that with a well-timed slap to Burton!! Burton was angry though, and he started to intimidate her. This brought out The Lee FamiLee – and they weren’t happy!

Andrew Lee 2.jpgGorilla Lee.jpgJK Lee.jpg

Gorilla, JK and Andrew Lee all got between Burton and ‘Auntie Kathy’, and made sure he didn’t do any further damage to Buff Martinez. Eventually, they grew tired of Burton’s antics, and chased him up the ramp and to the back! Wade Orson knew at that point that he would have to win this one on his own, but it didn’t seem to phase him. The momentum swung in Martinez’s favour when Orson missed a shoulder tackle in the corner though. The big man was hurt, and Buff knew this was HIS chance. He hit a dropkick, and followed it up with a flying elbow drop from the top rope. The referee counted, but Orson kicked out. Form there, Orson used his strength to power out of an octopus stretch, and followed it up with a double powerbomb! Moments later, Orson was looking for another spear in the corner, but Buff dodged it again. Orson knew he might dodge, and stopped himself hitting the corner post again. He was ready to hit the ‘Bounce Back’ (Pounce) when Buff turned around, but as he ran out of the corner, Buff span around to hit ‘El K.O!!’ The spinning back fist knocked Orson out, but he stayed stood upright for a few moments, before collapsing on the ground – landing on his face!! Buff rolled him onto his back, and covered him to retain the Title!!

76

The Lee FamiLee returned to the ring to celebrate with Buff Martinez…!!

image.jpegimage.jpeg Andrew Lee 2.jpgGorilla Lee.jpgJK Lee.jpg

Gorilla danced around the ring, while JK and Andrew patted their friend on the back and raised his hand…!! Feel-Good way to end the show, and we now head to the co-branded event: The Cornell Cup in four weeks time…

Episode 9

Wednesday, Week 4, March 2020

image.jpegimage.jpeg

Calling the action: Steve Smith and Dane Rowley

Overall Rating: 66

image.jpeg

We opened the show with United GM Jeff Nova, joining Kingdom Match-Maker Colin Chalke in the ring, for a big announcement…

image.jpeg image.jpeg

Jeff Nova: “Ah’m makin’ a special appearance on Kingdom… Soo ya know this announcemen’ will be BIG… Bu’… I can assure youz… This announcemen’ is NUFFIN’ compared to the one coming up la’ar in tha shoow…!!”

Nova handed this one over to Colin Chalke, and he announced the BRACKETS for the Cornell Cup…

image.jpeg

Colin Chalke: “Now, you’ll notice TWO tag teams, unnamed in those brackets… Both teams are coming in for one off appearances, JUST for this tournament… and guys… I want to introduce the first team right now… So… Give it up… for ROF and EWA LEGENDS… and former SEVEN TIME Tag Team Champions together… Eric Future… Petey Barnes… FUTURE… X…!!”

Eric Future 2.jpgPetey Barnes 2.jpg

The crowd went wild as the Sci-Fi team made their elaborate entrance… Lasers… lights… Star Trek style music… The two veterans couldn’t wipe the smiles off their faces… They paused on the stage, bowed to one another… and then ran to the ring… full of joy… That joy sadly came to an abrupt end, when their opponents arrogantly strolled to the ring…

image.jpegimage.jpeg

Leigh Burton: “Hey… Look Wade… If it isn’t everybody’s favourite tag team from TEN years ago…!!”

Wade Orson: “Guess they should call themselves ‘PAST X’ now…?! HA…!!”

Leigh Burton: “HA…!! That would almost be worth doing… If anybody actually cared that they were here… Let’s send these two old CHUMPS, back where they came from…!! And May the FORCE be with them…!!”

Future and Barnes weren’t happy with their comments… and Future snatched the microphone from Burton’s hands…

Eric Future: “HEY!! We like Star Trek… NOT Star Wars…!!”

Eric Future 2.jpgPetey Barnes 2.jpgimage.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpeg

Future X (Eric Future & Petey Barnes) [vs] Leigh Burton & Wade Orson

This match really set the tone for what we’re going to see in this Tournament. Looking at the brackets, the quarters, semis and finals look like they’re going to be bangers! This was too, with Future X wound up by Burton and Orson’s disrespect. They took it to the bad guys, showing guts, and heart. But eventually they succumbed to Orson’s supreme power. The 276lber outweighs both of his opponents by around 70lbs, and he used his strength to throw Barnes over the top rope, and then hit the ‘Bounce Back’ Pounce on Future!

60

image.jpeg

Colin Chalke and Jeff Nova were backstage for their second huge announcement of the night…

image.jpeg image.jpeg

Jeff Nova: “As oowner, and booker of 21CW… It is ma job, to make sure EVERY show is Tooop Noootch…!! Soo… At The Cornell Cup… We’re going to see TWO, former winners of the Tournament… Doin’ battle… for the 21CW World Championship… Tommy Cornell WILL challenge, Edward Cornell…!!”

The Cornell Brothers have been on a collision course for months, and had competed several times, in a variety of different matches… but then they were separated by the first 21CW Draft… Despite being on different shows… Tommy will get the Title shot against Edward…!! Chalke confirmed that he and Nova would be back later with more HUGE news… As if this night could get any bigger…!!

image.jpeg

image.jpeg w/ Gorilla Lee.jpgJK Lee.jpgimage.jpegimage.jpeg w/ image.jpegArtemis Eyre-Rochester Champ.jpgThurston Darcy III Champ.jpg

‘The Neanderthal’ Andrew Lee w/ The Lee FamiLee [vs] ‘Beautiful’ Blake Belushi w/ The Ozzie Invasion

Andrew Lee started on the front foot here, but he was soon put down with a brilliantly timed super kick from Belushi after a distraction from the rest of The Ozzie Invasion. However, just when it looked like Belushi would win, after dominating the match – Lee rolled him up in a small package and stole it!

61

image.jpeg

Backstage, BEDLAM was about to be interviewed by Mo Adebola, when Cliff King walked up…

Bedlam 2.jpg Mo Adebola 3.jpg Cliff King.jpg

The smooth talking ‘Executive Consultant’ and manager of War Machine said that he could take it from there…

Cliff King: “You fought bravely at Head To Head… but ultimately you came up short… There’s no shame in being SQUASHED by War Machine… So… It’s one win a piece in your little series together… How about you shake my hand, and agree that this little ‘feud’… is over!?”

BEDLAM smiled, and looked at Adebola… who shrugged… BEDLAM took the microphone from Adebola’s hand, and got in King’s face…

BEDLAM: “Over…?! Squashed…?! Oh I BET War Machine wants this feud to be over… I’ll bet he’s relieved to have won at Head To Head… because he KNOWS how dangerous I am… So I’ll tell you what… Tell him this… Instead of sending your little ‘Salesman’ to come and tell me… If you want this feud to be over… Why don’t you come to the ring next week, and tell me to my face…!!”

He pushed the microphone into Cliff King’s chest, and then walked away… King looked hurt, and also angry at the interaction…!!

image.jpeg

Up next, ‘Cowboy’ Buck Winchester headed onto the stage… His opponents in the upcoming tag team match: Misery Loves Company, were already in the ring… Cowboy had a microphone… He was challenged to find a partner for this match after saying ‘Howdy Ma’am’ to Mark Misery’s wife Vicki Company…

Buck Winchester.jpg Mark Misery.jpgSmiling John Smithie.jpgimage.jpeg

Buck Winchester: “I’ve found a partna… Partna… So tonight… Me an’ this guy are gonna whoop your asses… It’s time… For a WHAAAAAALIN’…!! Ladies and Gents… I bring you… Alfonso D’Angelo…!!”

image.jpeg

The flamboyant youngster from Portugal headed onto the stage to join Cowboy… There’s been a lot of buzz about D’Angelo’s impending debut with 21CW, ever since he graduated from the National School of Wrestling… He strolled to the ring with Cowboy, and they got ready to fight…

Buck Winchester.jpgimage.jpegimage.jpegMark Misery.jpgSmiling John Smithie.jpg w/ image.jpeg

Buck Winchester & Alfonso D’Angelo [vs] Misery Loves Company w/ Vicky Company

Cowboy lariated the hell out of Misery Loves Company tonight, but not before ‘The Furious Bi-Curious’ Alfonso D’Angelo had a bit of fun at their expense. The young debutant will be feeling the effects of getting stretched by Misery and Smithie for a few days, but they were confused and angered by his ‘flirty’ and seductive antics! For the finish, Buck hit his Neckbreaker onto his knee on Smithie to win it.

51

As Buck and Alfonso celebrated their win, the group known as the Ozzie Invasion headed out onto the stage…!!

Buck Winchester.jpgimage.jpeg image.jpegimage.jpegArtemis Eyre-Rochester Champ.jpgThurston Darcy III Champ.jpg

Loxley Robbins: “Ummm… HELLO…?! Do I have to point out the Elephant in the Room here…?! Why is nobody talking about this…?! JEFF Nova… and Colin… Chalke… Just announced Edward Cornell’s challenger for the Cornell Cup Pay-Per-View will be Tommy Cornell… HELLO…?! I just BEAT Tommy Cornell…!! Where’s MY Title shot, ey…?!”

The crowd booed… but Loxley had a point… He defeated Tommy Cornell at Head To Head, and now Tommy will be getting a Title shot ahead of him…!!

Loxley Robbins: “Na na na na na… Don’t gimme that… I am RIGHT about this… And I’ll be staging a protest… in that ring next week… if nothing is done about it…!!”

The group left the stage, as Buck and Alfonso looked relieved that they weren’t attacked 4 on 2 by the Australians…

image.jpeg

Brickhouse Balder.jpg21CW K vs.jpgStevie Stoat.jpg

Brickhouse Balder [vs] Stevie ‘Smasher’ Stoat

Landon Mallory joined the announce team for this one, and watched the strong 260lber Stevie Stoat beat up the much larger Frenchman, Brickhouse Balder. Mallory beat Stoat at Head To Head, but Stoat handed Mallory his first 21CW loss a few weeks ago. It’s not over between the two of them on this evidence.

54

image.jpeg

We were backstage again next, with the men in charge of both the Kingdom and United Brands… Colin Chalke and Jeff Nova…

image.jpeg image.jpeg

Jeff Nova: “Who wants another Tooop Noootch announcement…!? If the first winners of the Cornell Cup are fightin’ for the 21CW Title… How about we put the second winners up against each other, for the 21CW World Heavyweigh’ Title…?!”

Colin Chalke: “That’s right Jeff… At The Cornell Cup 2020… Buff Martinez will put his Championship on the line against… His former Hotstuff Teammate… J-B Cash!!”

There have been two Cornell Cups… 2018’s winners The Cornell Brothers… 2019 was won by Hotstuff… Now all four men will compete for World Championships at this year’s pay-per-view!! That will light a fire under the sixteen teams in this years Tournament… because they could be headlining it next year…!!

image.jpeg

Daniel Francis 2.jpg21CW K vs.jpgPhil Harmonic.jpg

‘D-B-F’ Daniel Black Francis [vs] ‘The King of the Cruiserweights’ Phil Harmonic

A quick match, but also a fast-paced one. You couldn’t take your eyes off it, as the two charismatic Brits did battle. In the end, Harmonic hit a back-flip springboard but the experienced Francis caught him, and locked him up in the ‘Rasta Lock’ Sleeper!!

49

image.jpeg

A video package aired next, showing some highlights of the high-flying ability of one Welsh Dragon…

image.jpeg

The masked flier is apparently in action again next week… Against an incoming ‘friend’ of his… in what promises to be a showcase of BOTH of their abilities…

image.jpeg

Tommy Cornell.jpg21CW K vs.jpgKevin Jones 2.jpg

‘Rough Justice’ Tommy Cornell [vs] ‘The MVP’ Kevin Jones

Main Event time next, featuring two men who are no strangers to Main Eventing shows! Something about this one between Tommy Cornell and Kevin Jones didn’t click though. The veterans had a bit of a clunky clash of styles, but it wasn’t a terrible match or anything. If anything, the roughness of the match made it more watchable, as both men looked like they came out of it hurt. Jones caught Cornell with a stiff elbow, and his eye puffed up badly. And Jones himself would suffer a busted lip, and rib damage. For the finish, Jones looked for a Pump Handle Slam, but his ribs stopped him. Cornell took full advantage, and delivered a couple of jabs to the ribs, before hitting his ‘Guilt Trip’ Side Russian Leg Sweep to win it.

63

Jones’ loss follows a decent run of form heading into Head To Head… He had won three on the bounce, and then faced Daniel Black Francis for the 21CW, and lost… He then received a strange package in the ring after his loss on that night… A large, human sized gift, wrapped in huge wrapping paper… but all it was, was a paper note saying ‘FOOL’ on it… The note has clearly played on Jones’ mind, as he was conflicted throughout this one… More questions than answers as it pertains to that one…

As for Cornell, he bounced back from his loss at Head To Head with a win here… and is now on the road to The Cornell Cup, where he’ll face his Brother Edward Cornell for the 21CW Title…!!

Thanks for all the support guys, really appreciate it. Little update on this diary, I've got the next MONTH fully written up, including the Cornell Cup Pay-Per-View! :D

Couple of interesting things have come up in the game, including a 'Whistle Blower' who threw a bunch of big names under the bus for drug use, and will probably be jobbed out and released. I've also had someone with a 'Social Media Storm' and have suspended him for a month. He might not last either.

I've also come up with a few little ideas that I really like, that I've never seen done in wrestling before. They're not Austin/McMahon level... or even MJF/Adam Cole... but they're cool ideas that I'm excited for you to see :D

So it's onwards and upwards from here!

Also, if anyone's got any spare money, we're extremely poor right now!

Episode 9

Wednesday, Week 4, March 2020

Des Greeves.jpgMartin Bloydell.jpgJeff Nova.jpg

Calling the action: Des Greeves, Martin Bloydell and Jeff Nova

Overall Rating: 74

image.jpeg

We opened the show with Mark Adonis heading to the ring, WITHOUT his tag team partner Mass Hulk…

image.jpeg

Adonis was angry, and he snatched a microphone from a ringside worker…

Mark Adonis: “You might be wondering where Mass Hulk is… Well you should ask Kelly and Lance Martin… and LEO Price…!! Because they came to our house… and they BEAT him so bad… a big giant of a man that he is… and they BEAT him… until he couldn’t get up… So right now, I want a Martin Twin… 1 on 1… RIGHT now…!!”

Adonis didn’t have to wait long… the Twins came out, accompanied by Price… and Lance accepted the challenge…

Lance Martin Champ.jpg w/ Kelly Martin Champ.jpgLeo Price.jpg21CW U vs.jpgimage.jpeg

Lance ‘The Body’ Martin w/ Kelly Martin & Leo Price [vs] ‘God’s Gift To Wrestling’ Mark Adonis

Great match to open the show here. Adonis was p****d though, and it was pretty one-sided despite support from Kelly and Price at ringside, and Adonis’ lack of it. For the finish, Lance missed a splash in the corner, and Adonis hit his ‘Adonis Elbow’ (Judas Effect) to win it. After the bell, Adonis rained down elbows onto Lance’s face, and Kelly and Price had to get in and pull him off!! Adonis scrambled out of the ring, but was still angry.

61

image.jpeg

We cut to a pre-taped video next, featuring ‘The Unsung Hero’ Chuck Frisby showing off his athleticism, while his ‘muscle’ Gulliver helped…

Chuck Frisby.jpgGulliver.jpg

Gulliver was throwing a frisby for Frisby to catch… but he was running after it and dropping it each time… Getting out of breath as he went…

Chuck Frisby: “Hey… Wanna try and throw it a little less hard…?! Gettin’ kinda tired here… Maybe I can throw it for you for a bit?!”

Gulliver gladly agreed, and handed Chuck the frisby… He threw it as hard as he could, and Gulliver set off at a slow jog… The frisby came down, and Gulliver caught it one handed… punching the air in celebration… Frisby didn’t seem happy…

image.jpeg

Assassin.jpg21CW U vs.jpgJobber.jpg

Assassin [vs] Local Talent

Domination from Assassin here, and he beat the local guy with ease. The ‘Point Blank’ Big Boot finished him off in the end.

41

image.jpeg

Back live, BW Eddie arrived at Boulder and Flynn’s detective agency office…

Beau Boulder.jpgDarin Flynn.jpg BW Eddie.jpg

Boulder and Flynn had a can of IRN BRU each… and when they saw BW Eddie’s reaction to the cans, they slowly put them under their desk… Eddie shuddered… and the three men then got down to business…

BW Eddie: “Hypothetically… What would it cost me… to find out what Viktor Beskov and Yuri Iliakov are up to…? So I could present it to Edward (Cornell) with solid evidence… Hypothetically…!?”

Boulder turned to Flynn, and the former pulled out a written proposal showing their costings… Eddie mouthed the word “wow”… because he was not expecting it to cost that much… He told them they were in business though… and left the office, folding the proposal up and putting it into his pocket… Once Eddie had left, Boulder and Flynn returned their cans of IRN BRU to the table and sipped them awkwardly…

image.jpeg

Elsewhere backstage, Melanie Florence had a special interview…

Melanie Florence 3.jpg J-B Cash.jpg

Melanie Florence: “My guest right now guys, is the man who will challenge Buff Martinez for the World Heavyweight Title at The Cornell Cup… Buff’s former tag team partner: J… B… Cash…!! J-B… I gotta know… How does it feel to be granted a World Heavyweight Title shot, and how does it feel knowing you’ll have to beat your best friend to win the Title…?!”

Cash said it was about damn time he got a World Title shot around here… and that he was looking forward to the opportunity…

J-B Cash: “As for Buff… I was so proud of him when he won that Title, man… but he’s not my best friend anymore… He has a bunch of new friends now… The LEEs… and they’re welcome to each other…!! At The Cornell Cup, I’m TAKING the Title from him… It’s MY time for MY moment…”

image.jpeg

Up next, a First Round Match for the Cornell Cup Tag Team Tournament… Beast Bantom and Roly Muckletruck were scheduled to compete against The Red Devils in a NON-Tournament match, but we found out that Beast and Roly didn’t make the show… Nobody had seen or heard from either of them… So the Red Devils had their Round One Match instead…

Beau Boulder.jpgDarin Flynn.jpg21CW U vs.jpgViktor Beskov 2.jpgYuri Iliakov.jpg w/ Doomsday Suit.jpg

Boulder & Flynn [vs] The Red Devils w/ Doomsday

Another great match here, as the detective tag team took notes throughout! BW Eddie was shown watching on a monitor backstage, and couldn’t believe his luck that Boulder & Flynn were already getting a close look at Beskov and Iliakov. Boulder wrote a lot down, and it’s good that he did, because he probably won’t remember much, after being knocked out with a brutal elbow from Beskov. Iliakov made Flynn tap in the end, to the ‘Kiev Krush’ Bear Hug.

62

image.jpeg

We cut backstage to another tag team who have entered the Cornell Cup Tournament: Rolling Johnny Stones and Luke Cool, who were shown watching The Red Devils win… Stones with a fresh haircut...!!

image.jpegimage.jpeg

Luke Cool: “Yu know Johnny… I’ve been thinking… We’re former Tag Champs here in 21CW… so when I got the call to say we were in the Cornell Cup Tournament, I was excited… But whaddya say we put one more run together after the Tournament…?! I know we can beat Absolutely Flawless and become Two-Time Tag Champs…!!”

Stones said ‘hell yeah’… and the two shook hands… Their First Round Match, against Kenobi High, is scheduled for next week…!!

image.jpeg

image.jpeg21CW U vs.jpgGrave Digger 2.jpg w/ Blackheart.jpg

Evan Alpass [vs] Grave Digger w/ Blackheart

As one-sided as they come here. Alpass hit some nice strikes early on, but they had little to no effect, and Grave Digger soon took control. The huge HellBound member soon put Alpass away with his ‘R.I.P Piledriver’.

47

After the match was over, Aldous Blackfriar headed to the ring… and spoke into a microphone as he strolled down the ramp…

image.jpeg Grave Digger 2.jpgBlackheart.jpg

Aldous Blackfriar: This is NOT a drill… This is the Apocalypse… Please exit the arena, in an orderly fashion!!”

Grave Digger and Blackheart stood firm in the ring, looking incredibly menacing… Aldous climbed onto the apron, and asked the two big men if they’d accept him as the new leader of HellBound…!!

Aldous Blackfriar: You two know you need leadership… and I can take you to the next level…”

Grave Digger walked right up to Blackfriar, and took the microphone… We’ve not heard the giant speak for months… but he had something to say to Aldous…

Grave Digger: WE… Already have a leader… His name is Jonathan Faust… and HE will be back soon…!!”

Grave Digger shoulder barged Aldous, before exiting the ring… Blackheart snarled at the newcomer, and followed Grave Digger out…

image.jpeg

Up next, the hotly anticipated clash between Apollo Prince and Phillip Cooper… The loser will pay for BOTH the ripped shirt of Prince, and the ruined hat of Cooper…

Apollo Prince.jpg21CW U vs.jpgPhillip Cooper.jpg

Apollo Prince [vs] Phillip ‘Cooper Man’ Cooper

On a night packed full of good matches, this one stood out as one of the best. The two men legitimately hate each other, and it showed. Cooper couldn’t stop criticising the announce team for some reason tonight. He kept shouting at Jeff Nova in particular that he was naming his moves wrong. The cocky Manc should have focused on his young Nigerian rival though, because he got caught with ‘The Apollogy’ (inverted bulldog) when he was distracted!

70

After the match, we saw Antithesis sat watching the action up in the rafters…!!

image.jpeg

‘The Anarchist’ is the 21CW UK Champion, and he’s looking for his next challenger…

image.jpeg

Sebastian Koller 2.jpgAdam Matravers.jpg w/ Phoebe Plumridge.jpg21CW U vs.jpgimage.jpegBW Eddie.jpg w/ Doomsday Suit.jpg

Sebastian Koller & Adam Matravers w/ Phoebe Plumridge [vs] Edward Cornell & BW Eddie w/ Doomsday

Solid Main Event here to top off a good show. Koller and Matravers made a lot of quick tags early on, and the two House of Business members couldn’t handle their speed in the transitions, and the constant double-teaming. Cornell managed to stick his thumb in Matravers’ eye, and that turned the tide. Late on, Cornell and Eddie were in control but Matravers managed to create some space and tag Koller in. The German won it for his team in the end, hitting his ‘Hamburg Rock City’ Curb Stomp on Eddie. Cornell chose not to make the save, and Matravers finally got his Main Event win.

74

The winning fan favourites didn’t get long to celebrate though, because Doomsday slid into the ring and clocked Koller over the back of the head… Soon, The Red Devils joined the fight on Edward Cornell’s command, and it was 5 on 2…

Sebastian Koller 2.jpg Adam Matravers.jpg image.jpegBW Eddie.jpgDoomsday Suit.jpgViktor Beskov 2.jpgYuri Iliakov.jpg

Matravers and Koller looked in trouble, but they soon too got some help… from Koller’s friends Kenobi High…

Christopher Lister.jpgJase Cole.jpg

The veteran tag team of Christopher Lister and Jase Cole sprinted to the ring, and jumped The Red Devils… but they didn’t even up the numbers enough, as it was still 5 on 4… So another couple of fan favourites headed out…

Beast Bantom 2.jpgRoly Muckletruck.jpg

Now it was 6 on 5 with the fan favourites having the advantage… Beast and Roly didn’t need the rest though, as they chopped everyone down, and Cornell decided to bail out of there… It seems Beast and Roly are on a collision course with The Red Devils… But Cornell isn’t going to be happy about the involvement of any of the help Matravers and Koller got here…

Misery no longer Loves Company...! 😮 I'd like to keep them both around for now, so Vicki will be moved to Kingdom, while Misery and his tag team partner Smiling John Smithie will lose part of their act... I don't have an idea for Company just yet, but I do have a replacement in mind for her for Misery and Smithie...
