TOS Quarter Final Barbed Wire Massacre Deathmatch

Matthew Justice.jpgimage.pngimage.jpegimage.pngMartina.jpg

Matthew Justice vs Masha Slamovich vs Session Moth Martina

Sasha almost won this when she delivered two Snow Ploughs on Martina on a barbed wire wrapped chair but Justice reached in nick of time to save the day. He was a man possessed as he fended not only his two competitors but also interferences in the form of The Kirks who were trying to help their stable mate Masha but Justice would take out all his frustrations on the dastardly couple as he delivered Justice Drivers to both Kasey and Brandon Kirk from the top of a 15 ft high wooden ladder onto a barbed wire table and both Martina and Masha who were fighting on the table gets crushed.

A simple pin later, Justice had punched his ticket to the semis.

Winner: Matthew Justice

Grade: 33

TOS Quarter Final Cage of Glass Deathmatch

image.jpegimage.pngAxel Tischer.jpgimage.pngJun Kasai.jpg

Alex Colon vs Axel Tischer vs Jun Kasai

Axel Tischer was overwhelmed and actually petrified seeing the two deathmatch masters going at it and decided to become a spectator. Colon and Kasai went at it like two rabid dogs using the glass panes to annihilate each other. A Samoan drop from Colon to Kasai on three glass panes stacked together was a mark out moment for the fans. Colon went even further and got hold of Tischer who tried to attack from behind and Samoan Drop onto the broken glass was enough to give Tischer multiple cuts on his back as blood started oozing out.

The match did not end though, as Kasai got hold of bigger glass panes and planted it around four turnbuckles and then Snake Eyed Colon on two of them as Colon's nose got cut and blood oozed out.

The match had already become full of blood and the crowd was going restless so Colon quickly finished it with the Tiger Driver ' 97 on Tischer on broken glass to advance.

Winner: Alex Colon

Grade: 42

TOS Quarter Final 1000 Light Tubes Deathmatch

Akira (US).jpgimage.pngimage.jpegimage.pngMatt Tremont.jpg

AKIRA vs Mance Warner vs Matt Tremont

The third quarter final pitted SGC vs Reject member against each other with the Bulldozer Matt Tremont thrown into the mix and the ring surrounded by numerous light tubes. Some idiot from the crowd started shouting choicest abuses and held the placard, "BAN GCW, THEY ARE THE FILTH" while the two Matt Tremont stans who had the Bulldozer T-shirt on tore the sign and almost had a scuffle before security intervened to smoothen things out.

AKIRA and Warner went at it with a light tube duel and unbelievably, they smashed Tremont together when he tried to hit taking him out early on. From then on, the SGC vs Rejects war kicked in as Warner hit a humongous lariat on AKIRA.  He rolls down his knee pads and goes for the knee strike but AKIRA had other plans as he grab a light tube lying behind and smashed on Warner's knees as he goes down wincing in pain. Tremont comes out and absorbs two light tube shots before head butting a third one and then using AKIRA as a human cannon, smashes all the light tubes on the front side of the ring before hitting a uranage to win.

Winner: Matt Tremont

Grade: 56

TOS Quarter Final Log Cabin Deathmatch

Lio Rush_alt3.jpgimage.pngZack Ryder.jpgimage.pngimage.jpeg

"Blackheart" Lio Rush vs Matt Cardona vs Homicide

Blackheart was on fire. Cardona's short arm clotheslines were no sold as was Homicide's spinebuster as the crowd went into a shock. They were seeing the full force of Blackheart for the first time. Every he move he would get hit with, he would stand up after it and Cardona and Homicide got frustrated enough that they started beating each other. Cardona grabbed a log panel and blasted Homicide but he ducked and Rush got caught and finally for the first time, we would see Rush staying down after being hit.

Homicide took advantage as he bashed Cardona's head with a couple of log cabins and then tries hitting the Gringo Killa but Cardona stops it and hits a Broski Boot for a two count. Rush threw himself from the top rope but got hit with a cutter while coming down and Homicide tried the pinfall but was dragged out by Cardona who went for another Broski Boot but Homicide moved and the ref gets knocked out.  Homicide hits a Gringo Killa on Cardona and waits for the three count but only the crowd counts with him as ref is out cold.

Just then, the Legion of Pain runs from the back and blasts Homicide as a double chokeslam on the veteran knocks him out. A log panel is then placed in the ring as Homicide's lifeless body is again picked up by Selmani and Dhinsa as Dhinsa picks him up for the Last Chapter and brings him crashing through the log panel.

Rush conveniently wakes up and they wake up the ref as well. Rush hits the Rush Hour and pins Cardona as crowd litters the ring showing their displeasure.

Winner: "Blackheart" Lio Rush

Grade: 45

Tag Team Match

Sunny Dhinsa_alt.jpgGzim Selmani.jpgimage.pngDan Maff_alt.jpgMonsta Mack.jpg

Legion of Pain vs Da Hit Squad

Legion of Pain stayed back for their open challenge and it was Da Hit Squad who came up for the challenge. The former GCW, wXw, CZW tag team champions were almost equal in build to the LOP and so we got four mammoths engaging in a wild brawl.  Monsta Mack hit the Mackterminator on Selmani but he kicked out as Mack lets out a roar of despair. Maff and Mack combined to hit clothesline/leg sweep combo and then Mack went for his Mack Splash but Dhinsa grabbed his throat and throws him down.

Thereafter, they hit the Super Collider as Mack was squashed and they went 6-0 in GCW.

Winner: Legion of Pain

Grade: 40

TOS Semi Final Fans Bring the Weapons Deathmatch

Matthew Justice.jpgimage.pngimage.jpeg

Matthew Justice vs Alex Colon

The second chapter of today's SGC vs Rejects face-off started as Justice and Colon locked horns together. It was Colon who took the initial upper hand as he hit Justice with signs that he snatched from a child and bashed Justice's head with it.  Justice retaliated with a discuss lariat and then kicked Colon on the legs before he gets s couple of beer cans from audience and bashes Colon's head repeatedly drawing blood.  A Cactus Driver'97 was foiled by Justice and he then whips Colon with a belt, again taking it from the audience and the back of Colon turned plump red.

A Justice Driver from the top rope followed and Justice had punched his ticket to final. For the first time in a long time, SGC was standing tall and Rejects had all fallen back.

Winner: Matthew Justice

Grade: 53

TOS Semi Final Fans Bring the Weapons Deathmatch

Lio Rush_alt3.jpgimage.pngMatt Tremont.jpg

"Blackheart" Lio Rush vs Matt Tremont

Blackheart's arrival was all met with immense boos as nobody had forgotten the treatment they dished out to Homicide. Tremont would try to course correct by going for early strikes including an uranage outside but Rush would kick out quickly. Tremont continued to try hitting arly finishers but each item Rush would kick out.

Tremont's slowness would be fully exposed at the hands of Rush as he used his lightning fast strikes to attack Bulldozer's legs and then catches a kitchen sink which was thrown at him from the audience and blasts Tremont's head with the same. He then gets hold of a chain and wraps Tremont by his neck, choking him out and then used a door which he keeps on Tremont's chest and hits the Rush Hour breaking the door and Tremont starts coughing blood.

A second Rush Hour connects and the Blackheart is in the finals. Everybody in the arena went silent, nobody knew what to say. Against all odds, Blackheart was in the finals of Tournament of Survival and he would be facing Matthew Justice.

Winner: "Blackheart" Lio Rush

Grade: 48

JCW Tag Team Championship Triple Threat

image.jpegimage.jpegimage.pngDavey Bang.jpgAugust Matthews.jpgimage.pngDyln McKay.jpgMarcus Mathers.jpg

East West Express (c) vs Bang Bros vs Wasted Youth

The champs had defeated both this teams individually during the Battlebowl tournament but these two were getting a second shot after their impressive performances during the previous events. After some intense matches, this was essentially a toilet break for most as we witnessed a spotfest with all three teams trying to outdo each other. Finally, an Orange Crush to McKay finished things off.

Winner: East West Express (defense #2 of JCW Tag Team Title)

Grade: 37

GCW World Championship

Nick Gage.jpgimage.pngJohn Morrison_alt4.jpg

Nick Gage (c) vs Johnny Gamechanger

Johnny Gamechanger had arrived in GCW to much fanfare and in his 1st three months with the company, he had defeated Ibushi, Tankman and KUSHIDA, all title contenders. So Foley had no choice but to award a shot to him. Nick Gage was on his record setting fourth reign with the GCW World Championship and he had been defending against all comers.

A clash of styles awaited us as they fought each other. They fought over a door, and Gage rammed it into Johnny’s face, then Gage hit a second-rope superplex. Gage flipped Johnny into the corner, where Johnny’s head struck the ring post. He fell to the floor, and when he stood up, he was bleeding from the forehead. Sure enough, Gage found the container of fake blood. Johnny stood on the floor and cleaned off the fake blood which infuriated Gage.

In the ring, Gage hit a spinebuster and he pulled out a pizza cutter and used it across Johnny’s forehead. He walked to each side of the ring so everyone could see him use the pizza cutter. They fought on the floor, with Gage wildly swinging a kendo stick but Johnny ducked and hit a corkscrew senton off the top rope onto a door set up on the floor. In the ring, Johnny dumped a bag of thumbtacks.

Johnny hit a fallaway slam, sending Gage into the thumbtacks. However, Johnny missed a Shooting Star Press and he landed stomach-first on the thumbtacks. Gage hit a backbreaker over his knee. Johnny hit a Razor’s Edge, running across the ring, and slamming Gage through a door in the corner for a nearfall.  Gage retaliated with a second-rope piledriver, jumping through the door bridge for a nearfall of his own.

However, Johnny hit Starship Pain out of the corner onto a door shard lying on Gage’s chest to score the pin and become the new champion!!!. Crowd goes ballistic seeing their king defeated.

Winner: Johnny Gamechanger (new GCW World champion!!!!)

Grade: 55

Tournament of Survival Finals Heavy Metal Anarchy Deathmatch

Lio Rush_alt3.jpgimage.pngMatthew Justice.jpg

"Blackheart" Lio Rush vs Matthew Justice

Both were appearing at their first ever TOS final. While Justice had two TOS appearances before, he had never made it to the final while for Rush, this would be the first. The crowd was fully behind Justice as loud SGC chants reverberated throughout the arena. With Gage losing his title, the crowd were desperate to see Justice win the TOS.

Both men were spent on energy as this was the third match that they had to fight in a single night and Justice would feel even more as his last fight with Alex Colon was an emotional and physical rollercoaster. Driven by crowd chants, Justice would come out quickly with some big moves like the discuss lariat, springboard splash and a rolling thunder and he would pin Rush after every move making him spend that much energy to kick out.

With Justice using his wits to make Rush work more, Rush would use a ladder to stop the momentum as he delivers a swanton off the top of the ladder to Justice. He picks him up, lays him on the table, cover him with a door and then delivers another swanton to absolutely knock Justice out.

After what feels like a lifetime, Rush goes for pin but Justice kicks out. Legion of Pain once again comes rushing in and use chairs to deliver double con-chair-to to Justice. They then deliver the Super Collider as Justice is completely knocked out.

A Rush Hour followed and we got the most unlikeliest winner of all. Crowd once again throws trash in the ring.

Winner: "Blackheart" Lio Rush (TOS 7 winner)

Grade: 47

Rush and Legion of Pain who forms the Black Legion soaks in the boos and raises their hands while claiming that this is just the beginning and the Black Legion era begins tonight.

The sold-out Manhattan Center witnessed one of the strongest TOS events held in recent years as we got an unlikely winner in "Blackheart" Lio Rush whose new alter ego had forced people to take notice. With the dangerous and undefeated Legion of Pain backing up their leader in all points, all things point towards a long period of domination from this trio.

Also, it's a new man at the top!!! Johnny Gamechanger, a veteran of the wrestling industry who has wrestled all over the world and also with the big three in IMPACT, WWE and AEW (also known for his multiple names) defeated the legendary Nick Gage to become the new world champion shocking the world. With the rematch in the offing soon, can he hold on to his title?

All eyes now turn towards the two big back-to-back events including the second biggest event of the year:

Series of Survivals.pngHomecoming.png

Series of Survivals is GCW's version of basically the Survivor Series but the catch is all matches are multi-man matches. It can be 3v3, 4v4, or 5v5 but for every team participating, they have to wage something in the match. It is said to take place at the SFSU Student Life Center from San Francisco and will be set up through two shows, GCW Off the Rails and JCW Dead End which will be taking place in the next few weeks.

There was also a major announcement regarding the new alliance,

image.jpeg

WOW unveiled its first alliance championship, the WOW Universal Triangle Championship, which is basically a Trios belt.  The first champions are said to be crowned during the GCW Series of Survival event which will see trios from all members of the alliance in a mini-tournament.

The two day Homecoming weekend event is the second biggest show of the year for GCW after it's World on GCW and GCW will be returning to Hammerstein Ballroom for this year's event.

1. Yet another win as Legion of Pain quashed local talents, Jaylen Brandyn and Traevon Jordan, the Waves and Curls as they got hit by stereo chokeslams in just under 4 minutes. 7-0 and counting.!!!

"Blackheart" Lio Rush joined the duo as he mentioned how he has put a dampener on everybody's hopes after winning the TOS this year and the reign of the Black Legion is about to cut everyone's joy to pieces.

Homicide comes out to huge cheers as he mentions that the emo worthless piece of shit that is standing in the ring thought they can get rid of the OG, the notorious 187, the Urban Legend but they were so wrong because he is standing right in front of them, looking in their eyes and laughing at their failures. Rush screams that he is just a zombie, a bag of bones and he has no business being in the ring and Black Legion will make sure that they finish the work that they started.

Homicide proposed that Lio put his Ultraviolent title shot that he earned by winning the TOS and we will see about finishing the work. Rush smirks and claims we are three while you are all alone but then, out of nowhere two figures jump them from behind armed with chairs and gets some damaging shots to the Legion of Pain before they reveal their faces, it's Alex Zayne and Blake Christian!!!!! They have returned since the night three months ago when they were put out of commission by the debuting Legion of Pain. Black Legion backs out and Rush accepts the challenge, we have our first match fixed for Series of Survival!!!!

2. Mega Bastards got their first defence of their newly won title after they managed to defeat the Major Players, albeit through some backhanded tactics as Bentley who was hiding beneath the ring, hit Myers square on the jaw with brass knuckles and rolled him in the ring where he fell prey to the piledriver from Alex Colon. (defence #1 of GCW Tag Team Championship)

While the Mega Bastards along with Reed Bentley were celebrating their win, the SGC comes rushing in and we get a full on brawl. AKIRA from Rejects comes for the rescue as the fight spill to outside. Justice who was the lone man standing in the ring, grabs a mic and says that he has already talked to  Foley and it is official..... it's SGC vs Rejects in a 5 v 5 main event for Series of Survival and the stipulation.....losing unit must disband!!!!!

Huge cheers amidst the crowd while Rejects goes into shock but then JWM answers that Justice may have got the maths wrong... it's 5 v 5 and SGC is only three while they are four and they are confident of getting the 5th member. Justice finishes the segment by saying just wait and watch!!!

3. Jonathan Gresham defeated Vikingo, Mike Bailey and Calvin Tankman in a battle of former title contenders as he submitted Vikingo via his Octopus Stretch. This win puts him in the forefront of the challenger line for the world title.

4. Los Mazisos get a big win as they defeated former champions BUSSY when Ciclope pinned Allie Katch after a Death Valley Driver on a stack of chairs.

5. The Deathmatch princess, Rina Yamashita got a new challenger as it was the new lunatic in town, Slade challenging her. It was a decent match but in the end, the Splash Mountain through bed of light tubes put Slade out of commission. (defence #10 of GCW Ultraviolent Championship)

6.  In another great main event, Johnny Gamechanger makes it 2 in a row against the King, Nick Gage in the world title rematch after he hit a brainbuster on Gage planting him head first on the barbed wire wrapped turnbuckle and then hit the Starship Pain. (defence #1 of GCW World Championship)

DEad End.png

Live from Palais Royale, Indiana

Attendance: 450

A rare backstage start to the show as we see Joey Janela being attacked by The Rejects JCW unit as Masha Slamovich and The Kirks smashes Janela into the crates that are there. Gringo Loco and Jimmy Lloyd rush to save their compatriot as the Rejects retreat after admiring their handiwork.

1. Jimmy Lloyd gets the JCW unit to a strong start as he defeats Casey Kirk after hitting the Fire Thunder Driver on a pile of thumbtacks which hurt him as much as Casey.

2. The second match between JCW and Rejects reversed the trend as Gringo Loco fell prey to the Kirk Kill from Brandon Kirk as he avenges his wife's loss in the previous match.

3. Bang Bros picked up from the disappointment of their loss in the JCW Tag Team Title match in Tournament of Survival as they registered another big win over Stupid Youth Project (Alice Crowley/Billie Starkz) and Unguided (Matt Vandagriff/Damian Drake) when they hit the Doomsday Device on Drake.

4. Joey Janela was in visible pain following his attack at the start of the show in the hand of JCW Rejects so he found it difficult to face the debuting Satu Jinn, the Deathmatch Genie who came with a dangerous reputation. A glass pane cannonball to the face of Janela completely busted him and he got hit with a tack bat but in the end, Janela mustered enough courage to fight back and put Jinn through the barbed wire board and then repeats it for second time before hitting the Moonsault Foot Stomp to retain. (defence #12 of GCW Extreme Championship)

Just as soon as Janela was handed the belt, the Rejects came rushing in to attack Janela but cavalry came in the form of Gringo Loco and Jimmy Lloyd. With the brawl in full swing, unfamiliar music blasts through the speaker,

Old Time Rock and Roll signals the arrival of the Living Legend, Ricky Morton. He introduces himself as the new JCW Commissioner and his first job, is to settle this right here. Team JCW vs Team Rejects in a 3 v 3 match at Series of Survivals. If Janela's team loses, he must put his title on the line against every member of the Rejects and if Rejects loses, they disband!!!

5. Masha Slamovich celebrated this news or took out frustration (couldn't understand from her expressions) on Sawyer Wreck as she got hit with multiple Snow Ploughs.

6. Jordan Oliver first put out an open challenge and then managed to prove the doubters wrong as he defended against the challenger Amazing Red who would come out to big pop. Oliver kicked out of a Code Red and then hit two Orange Crush for the win. (defence #4 of JCW Championship)

After the match, Oliver calls out Myron Reed and blasts him for spreading false rumors about how InJustice was being carried on his back. Jordan Oliver was always the leader and forever will be. Reed cracks a laugh and then slaps the taste buds out of Oliver. Nick Wayne comes rushing in and tries to interfere but he gets a roundhouse kick for his troubles. But then Calvin Tankman comes rushing in and hits the Tankman Driver on Reed!!! Oliver recovers and then slaps Reed again and again before screaming how does it feel, Reed to be all alone while InJustice is united and on top.

Raise the Alarm signals the arrival of Rascals which shocks the crowd there as well as the three men standing in the ring. Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz rushes to the ring and starts brawling with the three with Reed joining them as they clean house.

Reed then says never underestimate the young G.O.A.T. It will be Rascalz vs InJustice and if Oliver loses, then he will have to put both his titles on the line against the Rascalz.

3 v 3 Elimination

image.jpegGringo Loco.jpgJimmy Lloyd.jpgimage.pngimage.jpegKasey Catal.jpgBrandon Kirk.jpg

JCW (Joey Janela/Gringo Loco/Jimmy Lloyd) vs Rejects (Masha Slamovich/The Kirks)

We started off with one of JCW brand's staple rivalries which had been brewing between Masha and Janela over his Extreme Championship. Janela had defeated Masha during their previous meeting due to the botched interference from the Kirks and this has escalated since then.

The match started with Lloyd and Brandon Kirk facing each other and delivering a wild brawl with both sides indulging in heavy weapon usage. Gringo Loco got tagged in as he managed to get the better of the Kirks and with the Base Driver, eliminated Brandon Kirk first and then Kasey. (Elimination: Brandon Kirk and Kasey Kirk by Gringo Loco)

This put a serious dent on Reject's chances but they still had Masha Slamovich to go and she came in like a ball of fury as she unloaded with heavy hands on Gringo. Lloyd tried interfering but he was sent packing with a Snow Plough. (Elimination: Jimmy Lloyd by Masha Slamovich)

Joey Janela tried to sneak in and hit Masha with his boot but Masha saw him coming and retaliated with an uranage. Gringo Loco got sent packing as well via the Snow Plough (Elimination: Gringo Loco by Masha Slamovich)

Now Masha was smelling blood. She had a golden chance to finish off this JCW unit as she circled Janela. Kirks once again tried to help Masha by throwing a brass knuckles but it was overthrown and it landed in the hands of Janela who swiftly used it on Masha not once, not twice but thrice as blood trickled from Masha's forehead. A Moonsault Foot Stomp later, Rejects JCW unit's fate was sealed. Let's hope their GCW counterparts fare better. (Elimination: Masha Slamovich by Joey Janela)

Winner: JCW

Grade: 36

Masha was absolutely livid as the Kirks tried to reason with her but she would have none of it. Totally frustrated and having seen her dreams getting crushed, Masha freaked out and she delivered Snow Plough on both Brandon Kirk and Kasey Kirk before walking out of the ring.

3 v 3 Elimination

Myron Reed_alt2.jpgTrey Miguel_alt3.jpgZachary Wentz_alt.jpgimage.pngJordan Oliver_alt3.jpgNick Wayne.jpgCalvin Tankman.jpg

Rascalz (Myron Reed/Trey Miguel/Zachary Wentz) vs InJustice (Jordan Oliver/Nick Wayne/Calvin Tankman)

Another deep personal rivalry that emanated during Reed and Oliver's time together in InJustice. While Oliver would retain his both the titles, he would always require Reed's help and this became a big source of conflict between them. The last event saw Reed's Rascalz brethren making their debut in JCW and Tankman coming down from GCW to setup this match.

The biggest threat was of course, Tankman and Miguel and Wentz started working to bring him down. While both got hit with a humongous lariat from Tankman, they recovered and hit the Hot Fire Flame twice on Tankman to eliminate him. (Elimination: Calvin Tankman by Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz)

The field was now even. Oliver and Wayne combined to hit the Clout Cutter and then Oliver followed up with Orange Crush to eliminate Wentz. (Elimination: Zachary Wentz by Jordan Oliver)

Miguel took revenge hitting the Meteora on Wayne but then got hit by Orange Crush from Oliver. (Elimination: Nick Wayne by Trey Miguel, Trey Miguel by Jordan Oliver)

It was now Reed and Oliver face to face. After an intense show off, heavy hands were exchanged. Reed threw a wild missile double legdrop to send Oliver crashing through turnbuckles. He followed up with a cannonball. Oliver bounced back with a sick DDT on the ring apron and then lined up for the Orange Crush which Reed foiled as he floated over before hitting a belly to belly. He hit the Cap'n Crunch and got the 1....2.....3. (Elimination: Jordan Oliver by Myron Reed)

Winner: Rascalz

Grade: 48

WOW Universal Triangle Championship Semi Final

TMDK vs Unchained vs Los Parks

The first semi-final of the mini tournament was a truly international affair as all the three teams in fray were representing other promotions. The crowd cheered for the Ultraviolent champion Rina Yamashita and she had some bright spots in the match, especially against the Parks with her chair duel with LA Park receiving lot of applause from crowd.

Kasai and Fujita tried to bring in much deadlier weapons but it was foiled by TMDK who used their strength advantage to keep the weapons at bay. In the end, it was the Aussie unit who punched their way into the finals with a Tank Buster over Fujita.

Winner: TMDK

Grade: 41

WOW Universal Triangle Championship Semi Final

image.jpegChris Sabin.jpgKUSHIDA_alt2.jpgimage.pngKing Mo.jpgAlex Kane.jpgEJ Nduka.jpgimage.pngMorgan Webster.jpgMark Andrews_alt6.jpgDani Luna.jpg

Time Machine vs American Top Team vs Subculture

Time Machine was the crowd favourite and they started off with a bang, MCMG bringing their characteristic tag moves while KUSHIDA took care of the biggest man in the match, Nduka with his signature kicks but Nduka recovered with a pounce that knocked out KUSHIDA.

Subculture came into their own elements with Morgan and Andrews executing their own moves. Andrews even brought a skateboard and hit a hurricanrana on King Mo.

Luna went for a top rope hurricanrana but she was caught by Shelley who brought her down and the Border City Stretch was locked in. Mo saved the day before he kicked Shelley out of the ring. He went for the Garvin Stomp but Sabin comes in before he hit the Cradle Shock on Mo to win it for the Machine.

Winner: Time Machine

Grade: 47

Black Legion came in the ring and before their match with Lio mentioning that he talked with Foley and the next match will not be an elimination but a standard six man tag match because he doesn't want to spend unnecessary time with the old bag of bones i.e. Homicide and the scum of earths i.e. Zayne & Christian. They have far better things to do.

Six Man Tag Match

Lio Rush_alt3.jpgSunny Dhinsa_alt.jpgGzim Selmani.jpgimage.pngHomicide.jpgAlex Zayne.jpgBlake Christian_alt.jpg

Black Legion ("Blackheart" Lio Rush/Legion of Pain) vs GCW (Homicide/Alex Zayne/Blake Christian)

Homicide was livid with the comments of Lio and he got hold of a chair, pummelling Rush with multiple shots. LOP squared off with Zayne & Christian and dominated them with heavy haymakers flooring both.

The ending was a rather violent one.  Selmani & Dhinsa lined up for the stereo chokeslams on Zayne & Christian but they got out somehow before they revealed the equalizer they have been hiding beneath the ring, a barbed wire wrapped sledgehammer. Soon, the three of them looked equal to Black Legion and they went to work hitting the sledgehammer on all three of them. While Zayne & Christian would engage with LOP outside, Homicide found Rush alone and proceeded to hit two Gringo Killas after hitting him with multiple sledgehammer shots to win and snatch the TOS title shot from Rush and saving his GCW career.

Winner: GCW

WOW Universal Triangle Championship Final

image.jpegChris Sabin.jpgKUSHIDA_alt2.jpgimage.pngMikey Nicholls.jpgShane Haste.jpgBad Dude Tito.jpg

Time Machine vs TMDK

The final of the WOW Universal Triangle Championship pitted crowd favourites Time Machine against the Aussie unit, TMDK.  While the initial stretch was much more subdued considering that both teams had wrestled a match, once MCMG came into their elements, the match pace went up a few notches as Shelley and Sabin wowed the crowd with their moves.

A tandem cannonball on Nicholls knocked him out completely but TMDK made a comeback as Bad Dude Tito was the aggressor as he dished out fallaway side slams to both Sabin and Shelley. KUSHIDA hit an Asai DDT on Haste before he tried to hit the Buzzsaw kick on Tito but Tito powered up as he absorbed all the kicks from KUSHIDA and then hit the F5 and pinned him but Shelley and Sabin saved the day.

Haste and Nicholls also came around and MCMG won the better of the exchanges as they sent the Aussies packing out of the ring with tandem double legdrops. With Tito all alone, he was subjected to Border City Stretch from Shelley and finally he tapped, making Time Machine the inaugural champions.

Winner: Time Machine (new champions)

Grade: 51

5 v 5 Elimination

image.jpegAkira (US).jpgimage.jpegReed Bentley.jpgBrett Lauderdale.jpg

Rejects were out first and Brett Lauderdale got hold of a mic as he mentioned that SGC might not even fathom who they have got as their final member. He was someone that Brett may have been in loggerheads previously but he was willing to go for a fresh start, somebody who embodied the struggle of outsiders against the political machine that is GCW, he was...........

Rickey Shane Page.jpg

What the hell!!! It was Rickey Shane Page!!! Lauderdale's lifelong enemy and the leader of the former faction 44.OH!! who run roughshod over GCW for several years. It seems Lauderdale had shaken hands with the devil himself as the crowd goes silent. Rickey Shane Page was back in GCW and it was as part of the Rejects.

Matthew Justice.jpgimage.jpegSteve Manders_alt2.jpg

SGC was up next as they had a shock at their faces seeing RSP come out as the 5th man for Rejects.

Before long, a familiar music hits O Let's Do It which made the crowd all excited.

AJ Gray.jpg

Indeed, it was AJ Gray, The "Rich Homie Juice" who had made his return to GCW. The former GCW World Champion and one of the founding members of SGC was back.

Justice was smiling from ear to ear. He said that if this gets your pants tight, wait till you hear the music of our fifth and the most important member. This will surely get your pussies to go wet.

Eddie Kingston.jpg

The roof just blew off the arena. The OG member of the SGC, the "Mad King" Eddie Kingston had returned to GCW after 4 long years.

Second Gear Crew vs Rejects

Things were bound to get heated with the collection of such combustible individuals in the ring and it did. The tag champions, Colon and JWM squared off with Justice and Warner while Bentley and AKIRA scuffled off with Gray and Manders. That left Kingston and RSP in the ring and the two behemoths started brawling, with Eddie getting the better of the exchange as he powerbombed RSP. Soon, Colon came into fray as he hit Eddie from behind but then get hit with an overhead belly-to-belly from Justice. The war between Mega Bastards and SGC ended when Justice hit the Justice Driver on JWM while Colon hit the Cactus Driver'97 on Warner at the same time. (Elimination: John Wayne Murdoch by Matthew Justice, Mance Warner by Alex Colon)

Soon, SGC had the numbers advantage when Eddie Kingston got his first elimination with the BLKOUT Lariat on Reed Bentley. Gray suffered similar fate at the hands of RSP as he was hit by RSP Bomb on a pile of broken glass and the numbers were even again. (Elimination: Reed Bentley by Eddie Kingston, AJ Gray by Rickey Shane Page)

Kingston locked in the inverted cloverleaf on the incoming Colon but he powered out as he showed his strength picking up and slamming Kingston on the turnbuckles before hitting a brainbuster on turnbuckles. Justice tried interfering but he was sent packing with the Cactus Driver'97 on a table that was brought to play by someone. (Elimination: Matthew Justice by Alex Colon)

Manders came in like a house of fire as he dragged in AKIRA before hitting the three point stance lariat on AKIRA. He tried the same with RSP but RSP foiled the attempt before hitting the RSP Bomb.(Elimination: AKIRA by 1 Called Manders, 1 Called Manders by Rickey Shane Page)

Now, it was advantage to Rejects. They were 2 to 1. Soon, Colon and RSP cornered Kingston but he started doling out chops to both of them. A kick to the guts stopped the punishment but Kingston was in no mood to stop as he hit the chops again after recovering.  A Cactus Driver'97 attempt was overturned and he picked up Colon before throwing him onto RSP and then hit the Royal Flush to eliminate him. (Elimination: Alex Colon by Eddie Kingston)

It was down to the final two. Once again RSP and Kingston exchanged heavy hands and chops but Kingston won out as he hit a roundhouse to Rickey. Rickey came back with a chair shot to Kingston and splattered his brains out with the last shot. He hit the RSP Bomb and then

1.....

2.......

NO!!!! Eddie kicked out!!! Eddie kicked out!! The crowd goes bonkers. Rickey can't believe it. He goes for another RSP Bomb but Kingston pushed him away. A Backfist to the Future and then a Royal Flush later, it was Kingston who had the last laugh. SGC had survived and Rejects had to disband. The unit was gone from GCW. (Elimination: Rickey Shane Page by Eddie Kingston)

Woah! Kingston makes sense, but I thought he would be too busy with AEW. He will talk more people into the building, that's for sure

At 1.9K per show, he was willing to come and bleed for GCW for a few months. 😁

PREDICTIONS

Vandal - 27/44 + 3/7 = 30/51

Blodyxe - 19/32 + 2/7 + 1 Bonus Point = 23/39

MidKnightDreary - 17/25 + 1/7 = 18/32

ColdBloodedSausageMaker - 6/6

Hollywood - 3/10

mateitudu - 1/10

That brings to end the second prediction contest which is clearly won by @Vandal. Your prize will be in the PM. The contest now resets with the Homecoming Weekend which will continue to the end of the year. The other big events coming up after Homecoming is Nick Gage Invitational and J-Cup.

This was a difficult event to predict. I always envisioned Rejects as not going further than few months and Lauderdale being forced to find another group to get the invasion going. AJ and Eddie was always my first choice considering that they were founding members of the SGC. For Rejects side, i went with Rickey Shane Page as he was GCW's public enemy no. 1 for so long and the fact that he would side with Rejects on his return would rile up the crowd so that was the thinking upon bringing him to fold.

We are back to the sold out Hammerstein Ballroom for our second biggest event of the year, the Homecoming Weekend.

On the back of a tremendous drama filled Series of Survival, we are coming up with two loaded nights.

Homecoming.png

NIGHT 1

GCW World Tag Team Championship: Mega Bastards (c) vs Second Gear Crew

Due to the win over Rejects, SGC will be getting abundance of title shots and the first to get is another shot at the Tag Team Championships. With Justice and Warner taking the challenge up this time, will SGC rise to the top of tag team food chain one more time?

Masha Slamovich & ??? vs The Kirks

The Rejects loss in SOS was hard for all their members and Masha took it the hardest as she was infuriated on the Kirks for messing the chance of a victory repeatedly in the last few shows and it reached a boiling point as Masha retaliated beating the Kirks after their loss. Now, she has challenged them to a tag match and have promised to bring a partner who will bring the same violence that Masha delivers.

GCW Extreme Championship: Joey Janela (c) vs Allie Katch

Allie Katch get her biggest opportunity as she and Effy got drafted to JCW and her 1st order of business, getting a title shot at Janela. Will Janela's dream reign continues or can the Rainbow Princess upset the apple cart.

WOW Universal Triangle Championship #1 Contendership: Subculture vs Los Parks

Series of Survival saw the first ever Universal Triangle champions crowned as Time Machine became the 1st champion of the alliance. Now the question is who steps up to become the next challenger and the answer is the bout between two teams who were not pinned in the tournament.

GCW Ultraviolent Championship 34th Street Deathmatch: Rina Yamashita (c) vs Homicide

It was a huge win for Homicide as he managed to pin the previously undefeated Lio Rush to save his GCW career and snatch the contendership of Lio Rush who had earned it with his TOS win. He now gets to challenge Rina Yamashita for her ultraviolent championship but with the risk of Black Legion's interference looming large, can we get a clean match?

JCW Championship: Jordan Oliver (c) vs Myron Reed

A match 4 months in the making. Ever since JCW started, Jordan Oliver and Myron Reed had been crossing paths in some form or the other. While Oliver retained both his titles using Reed as backup, he would never allow him to get a title shot and this angered Reed who finally exploded at Dead End decking his best friend and instantly bringing their friendship to an end. He picked up a big victory at Series of Survival with his brothers, the Rascalz and this is the night that he gets his biggest chance of the career. Can he capitalize or will Oliver find a way to make it out with the belt?

Legion of Pain vs Zayne & Christian

Another feud that was long time coming. Legion of Pain debuted in GCW putting Alex Zayne & Blake Christian in hospital. Zayne & Christian made their return at Off the Rails event and then topped it up after defeating the Black Legion in Series of Survival, Legion of Pain's first defeat in GCW. Now, they get their long awaited tag team match against LOP although Dhinsa and Selmani are still undefeated in straight tag team matches.

Plus Hughes Bros, the Dvon Dudley kids make their debut.

NIGHT 1

Live from Hammerstein Ballroom, New York

Zero Hour

1. Charles Mason was the surprise winner in the scramble match as he pinned 2 Cold Scorpio with the cradle piledriver. With this he challenges for the GCW Extreme Championship in Night 2.

2. D'von's kids made their debut for JCW and they had some good spots but in the end, Bang Bros continued their upward momentum with the win.

Main Show

Tag Team Match

Sunny Dhinsa_alt.jpgGzim Selmani.jpgimage.pngAlex Zayne.jpgBlake Christian_alt.jpg

Legion of Pain vs Zayne & Christian

Zayne & Christian had wanted this match for so long. LOP was the reason that Zayne & Christian was lying in hospital bed for 3 months and it was them who started on aggressive mode hitting stinging kicks and punches but LOP remain unfazed. Alex Zayne took it a level up when he hit a springboard facebuster on Dhinsa, getting big height on the same.

The turning point came though when Selmani hit a brutal lariat on Zayne and then hit the powerbomb on Christian. They tried to get back into the match desparately but it was always going to be a tough ask and LOP ended it with a Last Chapter on Zayne. Their streak continues.

Winner: Legion of Pain

Grade: 48

GCW World Tag Team Championship

image.jpegimage.jpegimage.pngMatthew Justice.jpgimage.jpeg

Mega Bastards (c) vs Second Gear Crew

Mance Warner beat up Alex Colon on the other side of the ring. Warner dragged some barbed wire across the forehead of John Wayne Murdoch which only fired him up; there were multiple-door bridges built while they continued to brawl on the floor, Colon ate a chairshot to the head from Matthew Justice but it didn’t deter him from finishing setting up the double stack of doors on the floor.

SGC dragged Colon up on the stage and then sent him through the stack of doors with a Death Valley Driver. SGC set up a double stack of doors in the center of the ring but JWM countered the Justice Driver and instead sent Matthew Justice through it.

The Mega Bastards brought out a box full of tubes and powerbombed Warner through it. Colon hit the Cactus Driver'97 to win this.

Winner: Mega Bastards (defence #2)

Grade: 53

While the Mega Bastards were celebrating their second defence, in walked Legion of Pain and had a face-off against the champs. They did the belt motion with their hands which Mega Bastards reluctantly agreed fearing their safety.

Tag Team Match

image.jpegKiller Kelly_alt4.jpgimage.pngKasey Catal.jpgBrandon Kirk.jpg

MK Ultra vs The Kirks

Masha's partner was her IMPACT wrestling partner with whom she won the Knockouts Tag Team Championship, Killer Kelly. The eerie appearance of MK Ultra spooked the Kirks and they tried to back out of this match but got cornered and then Masha and Kelly unloaded on them like a couple of hungry hyenas.

Brandon and Casey tried hard but they had to succumb to the aggressive manoeuvres of MK Ultra

Winner: MK Ultra

Grade: 44

GCW Extreme Championship

image.jpegimage.pngAllie Kat.jpg

Joey Janela (c) vs Allie Katch

It started exactly as you’d want as Katch showed off an arsenal of traditional and British wrestling techniques, running circles around Janela. He wizened up and we got a competitive game of wrestling one-upmanship. Janela tried to play mind games and Katch tried to break him. The intensity continued to ratchet up as the pair trade Germans, forearms and Janela slowly took control, making sure to mock when he could. The plunder came out and Katch used the ring as a weapon. The two continued to trade like no tomorrow as Janela had more fun indulging his sadistic side. Katch fought through it all and unloaded with aggressive fervour.

The back-and-forth wouldn’t stop as minds and heads met. Despite low superkicks and a package piledriver, Katch remained defiant and refused to stay down. The DVD couldn’t finish it either so Janela turned to doors. He took too long and Katch trapped him in the Boston Crab. He was wriggling too much to cinch it in full, so she speared him through the door and hip attacked him into the piledriver. Janela got his head stuck in a door and ate another piledriver but it still wasn’t enough,

The fight spilled to the apron and Janela drove Katch through an outer door with another piledriver. The elbow drop followed but Katch again kicked out. He placed a door on Katch’s back and ended it with a devastating Moonsault Foot Stomp. Katch had to be helped to the back. It had been an incredible match and the end had been scary as hell as Joey continued to show how much the Extreme Championship means to him.

Winner: Joey Janela (defence #13)

Grade: 46

WOW Universal Triangle Championship #1 Contender

King Mo.jpgAlex Kane.jpgEJ Nduka.jpgimage.pngMorgan Webster.jpgMark Andrews_alt6.jpgDani Luna.jpg

American Top Team vs Subculture

Flash and Mo started the match. Mo put Flash in a hammerlock. Flash escaped with an armdrag. Flash and Mo traded hammerlocks. Andrews and Kane tagged in with Andrews having the upper hand. Flash and Andrews swarmed Kane with running strikes after Flash tagged in. Subculture hit Kane with a double team Falcon Arrow. Andrews followed up with a Northern Lights for a two count.

Somehow Kane tagged in Nduka and the scenario changed. The judge mauled Flash as he hit him with a running powerslam. Andrews tried to sop him but he ate a backdrop facebuster. Luna then leapt onto Nduka's back but she was brought down by her hair. EJ had caused carnage upon entering and Subculture had no answers.

Andrews escaped a Torture Rack and managed to tag in Flash. He hit a neckbreaker before following up with the corner running dropkick. He then hit a second running dropkick and Nduka was feeling the heat now. A spinning armdrag and a standing shooting star press resulted in a two count and Nduka tagged in Kane. He was headbutted and Morgan hit a release German Suplex. A second attempt at the suplex was blocked as Kane hit a devastating Samoan Drop before it was suplex time. Exploder Suplex, Olympic Suplex, Back Suplex, Morgan was completely out. Kane dragged him to the middle of the ring while Luna tried to distract him. Alex Kane tried to catch hold of Luna and it gave Morgan a breathing space as he tagged in Andrews and he went straight for Kane's legs. A series of dropkicks brought him down and three consecutive Stundog Millionaires were enough to grant Subculture an unlikely victory.

Winner: Subculture

Grade: 32

GCW Ultraviolent Championship

Rina Yamashita_alt4.jpgimage.pngimage.jpeg

Rina Yamashita (c) vs Homicide

Homicide had earned this shot after getting the better of Lio Rush during his SOS match. He was still in search for his 1st championship in GCW and this thought propelled him to become extra aggressive in this match as he plundered Rina with all that he got. Some crisp moves were hit, starting with repeated boot scrapes and then a pumphandle slam earned a two count.

A tope con hilo was hit followed by a Bronx Bomber 27 but once again Rina kicked out at two. Homicide was getting more and more frustrated. A shining wizard was hit and then Yamashita was picked up for the Gringo Killa but then Rush appeared at the entrance distracting Homicide.

Rina took advantage and hit a dropkick to the back of Homicide. She got hold of a chair and then repeatedly slammed Homicide on the back before hitting a facebuster on that chair busting open Homicide. She then hit the Splash Mountain to retain the title. Once again, Lio Rush had indirectly caused Homicide to lose.

Winner: Rina Yamashita (defence #11)

Grade: 50

JCW Championship

Jordan Oliver_alt3.jpgimage.pngMyron Reed_alt2.jpg

Jordan Oliver (c) vs Myron Reed

We open with Oliver grabbing a front facelock, but he powers to the outside when that didn’t yield much. Back inside, Reed goes to ground to avoid an armbar as he powers outside, before a monkey flip’s stuffed by Oliver as the pair looked for an advantage… leading to Oliver trying to dump Reed off the apron with an Exploder.

That’s elbowed away as Reed instead had to defend from a deadlift German suplex, before he ran into a Fireman’s carry on the outside. He elbows free, but runs into a dropkick from Oliver on the floor instead. They trade shots on the outside, before they found their way onto some tables in the corner of the room… Oliver scoops up Reed and tombstones him onto the table, which did not give.

Oliver rolls him back inside to get a two-count, before he measures up Reed for some kicks. Myron’s back with elbows and chops, before Oliver tried to stop him in his tracks… but instead they scrap as Oliver sweeps the leg and returned with a stalling dropkick to the head for a two-count. A cross armbar from Oliver comes to nought, as Reed stomps his way free, before dropkicks took Oliver outside for a suicide dive. A flip senton to the other side followed as Reed built up a head of steam, leading to a superkick for a near-fall. Reed pulls himself up in the corner, but he runs into a back body drop before Oliver’s superkick and Falcon arrow almost ended the match.

Reed’s back with a poison rana, taking Oliver outside as a flip senton over the ring post found its mark. Oliver demands Reed take off his chest protector as they start a chop battle, but a head kick and a Tiger suplex gets Oliver a near-fall after that… before a tope into a cutter caught Reed on the floor. In the end though, Oliver gets a little too carried away, as a pumphandle driver is countered into a small package, with Reed following up with the tope con hilo and then the No Cap Splash.

1.......2........3......... That's it!!! Reed had done it!!!! He is the new champion!!!! As soon as the bell rings, Rascalz Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz come rushing into the ring celebrating with their friend and crowd as they stand in the middle of the ring and screen fades to black.

Winner: Myron Reed (new champion)

Grade: 46

I love Impact and if i get a chance i would do a modern day Impact diary down the line and the entire story between Masha and Kelly from their rivalry to the formation of tag team to winning the Knockouts Tag Team Championship was great so i knew i had to bring her in.

Curious how/why we ended up with Subculture taking on American Top Team instead of Los Parks, but I'm always cool with more Alex Kane!

This happens when you are disconnected  with virtual world for a week. I played this show after the card was posted and during this time, LA Park got himself injured in a MLW show and though he said he can work through the injury, i did not take any chance and instead replaced the team as Parks will have a substantial role to play in the coming months. I have given @Blodyxe one extra point due to this.

It will be covered in my next post. Sorry for not giving the explanation earlier.
