GLEAT "G PROWRESTLING Ver.59 ½"

September 15, 2023

KBS Hall in Kyoto

image.png n0KXvwis.png image.png

Kizuna Tanaka vs. Maya Fukuda

G PROWRESTLING 59½ commenced in the beautiful KBS Hall with the debuting Kizuna Tanaka facing GLEAT OG Maya Fukuda. Since GLEAT has started, Fukuda has competed exclusively in UWF Rules bouts, so tonight was a change of pace for her. Kizuna Tanaka gave it her best effort in her GLEAT debut, but the 18-year old fell to a lethal Brazilian Kick from Fukuda!

Winner: Maya Fukuda

After the match, Fukuda shook hands with Tanaka and said she'd like to face her again in the future. Fukuda announced that she plans to compete in more regular matches going forward; but will always be ready for UWF Rules bouts!

UWF Rules

Kaz Hayashi & Minoru Tanaka vs. Naoki Tanizaki & Yuya Susumu

With Minoru Tanaka aiming to challenge for the LIDET UWF Championship in the future, he came into this UWF Rules tag bout very determined. Naoki Tanizaki was equally determined to make an impact in his GLEAT debut alongside his friend Yuya Susumu. Tanizaki and Susumu have both faced Hayashi and Tanaka in the past as has their trainer HANZO, so they had the Coelacanths well scouted. The match came to an end when Minoru Tanaka trapped Tanizaki in the Minoru Special to win via submission!

Winners: Kaz Hayashi & Minoru Tanaka

UWF Rules

Soma Watanabe vs. Yu Iizuka

While Soma Watanabe has competed in UWF Rules bouts before, he has less experience in that type of environment than Yu Iizuka. While that would seem to put him at a disadvantage on paper, Watanabe was very impressive in this bout against the young fighter who was trained by Kazuhiro Tamura (also known as TAMURA) and who now regularly trains under LIDET UWF Executive Director Kiyoshi Tamura. The youngsters fought evenly throughout the bout, but the match came to a sudden end when Watanabe drilled Iizuka with a roundhouse kick that put him down for a ten count!

Winner: Soma Watanabe

image.png image.png image.png n0KXvwis.png image.png image.png image.png

SAKI, Unagi Sayaka & Yukari Hosokawa vs. MICHIKO, Maya Yukihi & Risa Sera

With MICHIKO and Unagi Sayaka's singles bout looming on the horizon, Unagi seemed eager to get her hands on MICHIKO. It seemed as though MICHIKO would oblige and start the match, but she quickly tagged out to Maya Yukihi and taunted Unagi from the apron instead. Unagi tried to get her hands on MICHIKO throughout the match, finally succeeding toward the end of the match leading to the two brawling on the outside of the ring. Meanwhile on the inside of the ring SAKI hit her impressive finisher the Kawildbuster on Risa Sera and won the match for her team!

Winners: SAKI, Unagi Sayaka & Yukari Hosokawa

image.png image.png image.png image.png image.png

Minoru Suzuki & El Desperado vs. Hikaru Sato & Dan Tamura

This match was an intense tag team bout with Minoru Suzuki and Hikaru Sato looking to head into their UWF Rules bout at G PROWRESTLING Ver. 60 with momentum as that match will determine who challenges Fujita Hayato for the LIDET UWF Championship! Dan Tamura was impressive, holding his own against both Suzuki and El Desperado. Desperado showed that he had little interest in this match being shoot style as he introduced a table and put Dan Tamura through it within the final minutes of the match! Suzuki finished things off against his student Sato when he planted him with a Gotch-style Piledriver for the pinfall victory!

Winners: Minoru Suzuki & El Desperado

image.png 0PPAoKXs.jpg image.png n0KXvwis.png image.png image.png image.png

El Lindaman, CIMA & Shigehiro Irie vs. Hagane Shinno, Tyson Maeguchi & Yumehito Imanari

The semifinal bout of the evening was STRONGHEARTS vs. Ibushi Pro Wrestling Lab as El Lindaman's clash with Kota Ibushi draws nearer. Ibushi's pals did their best to wear El Lindaman down before his bout with their friend, isolating him in the middle of the match. STRONGHEARTS mounted a comeback however and it was CIMA who scored the victory over Hagane Shinno after executing his finishing move known as Schwein!

Winners: El Lindaman, CIMA & Shigehiro Irie

  image.png image.png

T-Hawk and Eita came to the ring next, but not to congratulate or celebrate with T-Hawk's STRONGHEARTS allies... but to assault Ibushi's friends! T-Hawk nailed Imanari with his Cerberus running knee while Eita blasted Maeguchi with a superkick! T-Hawk then approached a very groggy Hagane Shinno and knocked him out with Ibushi's own Kamigoye!

  image.png image.png image.png 3IKcfsWs.png 9y2Ctb4s.png

T-Hawk & Eita vs. Tetsuya Izuchi & Jun Tonsho

With T-Hawk and Eita already in the ring, it was time for our main event. Once the previous combatants had cleared out, T-Hawk's next challenger, Tetsuya Izuchi, and his partner for the evening Jun Tonsho made their entrances! The main event was fast-paced with the former 60 Seconds members taking the fight to T-Hawk and Eita. In the closing moments, Izuchi tried to repeat his success from G PRO WRESTLING Ver. 57 with a Spin Break attempt on Eita, but Eita managed to avoid it and tossed Izuchi out of the ring! Tonsho leaped in with a diving crossbody to Eita, but was then met with a Cerberus running knee from T-Hawk! Eita followed that up with his Numero Uno submission hold to score the victory for himself and the G-REX Champion!

Winners: T-Hawk & Eita

Three New Signings for GLEAT; GLEAT "G PROWRESTLING Ver.60" Card Announced

Lidet Entertainment held a press conference led by President Hiroyuki Suzuki to announce three new signings ahead of GLEAT "G PROWRESTLING Ver.60".

image.png

The first signing announced was Kizuna Tanaka. Kizuna Tanaka appeared at "G PROWRESTLING Ver.59 ½" in a losing effort against Maya Fukuda. Kizuna Tanaka will now join her father Minoru Tanaka in being affiliated with GLEAT. Kizuna Tanaka will continue to compete for Pro Wrestling Wave and train in their dojo.

 24peg7Gs.png yLP8py9s.jpg

The second and third signings were announced simultaneously as it was revealed that the team known as Astronauts, Fuminori Abe and Takuya Nomura, have joined GLEAT full-time.

President Suzuki then announced that all three are signed to compete at "G PROWRESTLING Ver.60" before announcing the card for the show!

The show will have a special dark match pitting GLEAT against Evolution Girls!

The action on the main show will then kick off with back-to-back UWF Rules matches. With both Minoru Tanaka and Soma Watanabe setting their eyes on the LIDET UWF Championship, they both must overcome the challenge of Yukio Sakaguchi and Tyson Maeguchi respectively.

Astronauts will have their first match under the GLEAT banner as they face Yan's Family representatives Issei Onitsuka and Takanori Ito.

BULK Orchestra and Black Generation International will go to war in 5 on 5 action, but with two of BULK Orchestra's members otherwise engaged in their title bout later in the evening, BULK Orchestra will have a surprise 5th member in the bout!

Eita will see his first singles action in GLEAT as he faces Jun Tonsho in a match requested by Tonsho after Eita submitted him at "G PROWRESTLING Ver.59 ½".

A grudge match will follow when MICHIKO and Unagi Sayaka meet in a singles bout. If their recent encounters are any indication of how things will play out, this is bound to get violent!

The next challenger to Fujita Hayato's LIDET UWF Championship will be decided when it's student vs. teacher in UWF Rules -- Hikaru Sato vs. Minoru Suzuki! Who will earn the right to challenge Fujita Hayato?

The G-INFINITY Championship will be on the line in 3-Way Tag Team action! The BULK Orchestra duo known as Daisan Seiryoku will have to overcome both STRONGHEARTS' CIMA and Shigehiro Irie and Kuma Arashi and Koji Doi AKA Doi-Kuma if they want to make their first defense!

The semi main event will be the previously announced singles bout between "The Golden Star" Kota Ibushi and the former G-REX Champion El Lindaman! If Ibushi wins here, he will have defeated both previous G-REX Champions. If El Lindaman wins, Ibushi will suffer his first loss in GLEAT!

The main event of the evening will be the G-REX Championship match, the champion T-Hawk vs. the challenger Tetsuya Izuchi. T-Hawk looks to make his fourth defense of the championship as Tetsuya Izuchi looks to make the most of the opportunity he earned by defeating T-Hawk in tag team action back at GLEAT "G PROWRESTLING Ver.57".

Last it was announced that Executive Director Kiyoshi Tamura will have a very important announcement at the show!

GLEAT "G PROWRESTLING Ver.60"

September 27, 2023

Korakuen Hall in Tokyo

Kizuna Tanaka, Maya Fukuda, Yukari Hosokawa vs. Chi Chi, Sunny, ZONES

The bonus dark match pitting GLEAT's young female talent against Evolution Girls kicked things off. This match was a fairly standard opening trios bout. Both teams were evenly matched until things broke down and, in the fallout, Yukari Hosokawa picked up the victory for her team after planting Sunny with a Fisherman Buster!

Winners: Kizuna Tanaka, Maya Fukuda, Yukari Hosokawa

 FyNzqi5s.jpg n0KXvwis.png image.png

UWF Rules

Minoru Tanaka vs. Yukio Sakaguchi

The opening bout of the main card was a clash between anti-aging warriors! Minoru Tanaka who will turn 51 in November and Yukio Sakaguchi who turned 50 in July both had the type of high-octane performance you'd expect from men half their age! With his 30th anniversary as a professional wrestler approaching, Minoru Tanaka has made it clear he wants to enter 2024 with championship gold and that determination was clear through this bout. Sakaguchi was no pushover though, managing to knock Minoru down to just a single remaining point... but it was Minoru Tanaka who emerged victorious when he submitted Sakaguchi with the Minoru Special!

Winner: Minoru Tanaka

ZF9P2BSs.jpg n0KXvwis.png image.png

UWF Rules

Soma Watanabe vs. Tyson Maeguchi

Watanabe had a huge challenge ahead of him if he wanted to continue to prove himself worthy of a shot at the LIDET UWF Championship. That obstacle was the hard-hitting Tyson Maeguchi. Maeguchi's lethal offense gave him the advantage early on as Watanabe struggled to counter his educated strikes. Watanabe ended the match in similar fashion to the previous bout, utilizing the Minoru Special to submit Maeguchi! It seems the young fighter is sending a message to Minoru Tanaka!

Winner: Soma Watanabe

Fuminori Abe & Takuya Nomura vs. Issei Onitsuka & Takanori Ito

Astronauts came in hot for their first match as GLEAT affiliated fighters. The Yan's Family was well represented by Issei Onitsuka and Takanori Ito who looked to hand the popular team a defeat, while also picking up a much-needed win as their faction has been in a bit of a slump. Nomura and Ito started the match and had an intense strike-heavy clash early on, which included a vicious kick from Nomura right to the bridge of Ito's nose! When Onitsuka and Abe were tagged in they had a more fast-paced grapple exchange, both looking to gain the upper hand for their team. Things remained pretty even throughout this bout, but ultimately Nomura picked up the victory for Astronauts when he put down Onitsuka with a Dragon Suplex Hold!

Winners: Fuminori Abe & Takuya Nomura

BULK Orchestra (Hayato Tamura, Galeno del Mal, Ryuichi Kawakami, Check Shimatani, "X" El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr.) vs. Black Generation International (Kaito Ishida, Flamita, Hartley Jackson, El Bendito, Emperador Azteca)

BULK Orchestra's mystery partner revealed to be Galeno del Mal's brother, El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr.! He made his entrance wearing an intricate headdress. Right as he entered the ring and began removing it, BGI rushed in and attacked BULK Orchestra, kicking this match off with a wild brawl inside and outside of the ring!

It seemed BGI was going to win as Hartley Jackson and Kaito Ishida went after Wagner's mask on the outside, distracting Galeno del Mal who came to his brother's rescue, leaving Shimatani isolated in the ring and on the receiving end of a barrage of offense that culminated with a Muscle Buster/Gordbuster from Flamita to Shimatani while Bendito and Azteca dove to the outside to take out Galeno, Kawakami and Wagner (and Kaito Ishida and Hartley Jackson as collateral damage). Flamita covered Shimatani... but Hayato Tamura broke up the pin attempt at the last possible second. Tamura dragged Shimatani to their corner and tagged in and then annihilated Flamita with a Jackhammer! And that was all she wrote...

Winners: BULK Orchestra

image.png n0KXvwis.png 9y2Ctb4s.png

 Eita vs. Jun Tonsho

A fiery Jun Tonsho was out for vengeance as he faced a smug Eita in singles competition. This bout was very fast-paced with both men moving around the ring at lightning speed! Things only slowed down when Eita gouged Tonsho's eyes to gain the upper hand and worked him over with some holds. Tonsho mounted a comeback though and In the closing moments, Tonsho drove Eita into the mat with a Dragon Suplex and then positioned him near the corner of the ring. Tonsho followed that up with moonsault from the top rope, but Eita got his knees up!! He quickly rolled up Tonsho and won the match!

Winner: Eita

After the match, Eita extended his hand to Tonsho. Tonsho hesitated but ultimately accepted before leaving the ring as Eita watched him depart, grinning and nodding.

image.png image.png image.png

MICHIKO vs. Unagi Sayaka

MICHIKO and Unagi Sayaka had less of a match and more of a fight as their feud has reached a boiling point! They fought intensely in the ring, neither seeming to really be concerned with winning the much as much as decimating their opponent.

The fight spilled to the outside of the ring after about 10 minutes of action with MICHIKO bouncing Unagi's head off of the guardrail, only to receive a receipt moments later! The brawl continued on the outside, neither competitor aware of the impending count out! The referee reached the count of 20 and called for the bell, resulting in this match being a draw!

Winner: DRAW

MICHIKO and Unagi either didn't hear the bell or simply didn't care as they continued to brawl, assaulting each other all the way to the backstage area! And with that, it was time for intermission...

By30I0bs.jpg

Kiyoshi Tamura appeared after the intermission to make his very important announcement!

He announced that on October 15th, 2023 GLEAT will present GLEAT LIDET UWF Ver. 4... but that wasn't all...

Starting with GLEAT LIDET UWF Ver. 4 there will be a LIDET UWF event monthly going forward!

Kiyoshi Tamura thanked the fans for their support and took a seat at ringside for the next bout.

UWF Rules/LIDET UWF Next Challenger Decision

Hikaru Sato vs. Minoru Suzuki

This match began with an intense stare down between student and teacher until Minoru Suzuki simply gave his signature terrifying grin and told Hikaru Sato to "bring it on" and within seconds it was a frenzy of strikes exchanged between the two hard-hitting fighters! After they were satisfied with their strikes, they transitioned into grappling. The student and teacher seemed to have a counter for just about anything the other threw at them.

The match concluded as Suzuki tried to lock in the cross armbreaker, but he couldn't fully lock it in allowing Sato to make a crafty escape! Sato then blasted Suzuki with a kick that stunned him and followed up by quickly locking Suzuki into a cross armbreaker of his own in the center of the ring! Suzuki struggled as Sato continued to apply pressure, but Suzuki succumbed to the hold and tapped out!

Winner: Hikaru Sato

G-INFINITY Championship 3-Way Match

KAZMA Sakamoto & Quiet Storm (C) vs. CIMA & Shigehiro Irie vs. Kuma Arashi & Koji Doi

The G-INFINITY Championships were on the line next, and the recently crowned champions were at a disadvantage as they had two pairs of challengers in this match meaning their titles could change hands even if they aren't pinned or submitted! The freelance team of Kuma Arashi and Koji Doi had the advantage early on, mostly focusing on dismantling KAZMA Sakamoto.

Koji Doi nearly brought the titles to Doi-Kuma when he hit planted CIMA with a Liger Bomb and covered him, but the pin was broken up at 2 by Shigehiro Irie with a running senton! Irie tossed Doi out of the ring, but turned around into a lariat from Kuma Arashi that sent them both spilling to the outside of the ring! The champions emerged and quickly took advantage of the situation with KAZMA grabbing a groggy CIMA and planting him hard with his Kazmax side slam while Quiet Storm took out the remaining competitors on the outside with a slingshot somersault senton! KAZMA pinned CIMA and Daisan Seiryoku retained their championships!

Winners: KAZMA Sakamoto & Quiet Storm

Special Singles Match

El Lindaman vs. Kota Ibushi

The semi main event was a big-time match. Ibushi has defeated the other former G-REX Champion, Kaito Ishida. A win over El Lindaman would surely position him as T-Hawk's next challenger. El Lindaman, as a former G-REX Champion, was determined to defeat the Golden Star and hand him his first defeat in GLEAT. Despite the recent tension within STRONGHEARTS, Lindaman also knew that T-Hawk was counting on him to win this.

The match was fairly evenly matched with Ibushi's size advantage only helping him very littlle due to the sheer power of El Lindaman! Ibushi and Lindaman started off by meeting face-to-face in the center of the ring and then they started absolutely blasting each other with strikes!  Lindaman did show a sense of urgency, knowing who he was up against, trying to score the pinfall several times early on.

After a grueling 20 minutes, Lindaman launched Ibushi with a release German suplex, but Ibushi rose right back up to his feet and grabbed Lindaman from behind and rocked him with a Dragon Suplex... with a bridge! 1... 2... not quite! El Lindaman kicked out but Ibushi was quick to his feet and just as El Lindaman got to his knees, Ibushi grabbed his wrists and blasted him with the Kamigoye! Ibushi covered... 1... 2... NO! Lindaman managed to kick out yet again! Ibushi nodded in admiration of his opponent's fighting spirit, but rose to his feet, forcing Lindaman to join him. Lindaman seemed to be barely conscious as Ibushi lifted him up and then nearly put him through the ring with an enormous Golden Star Bomb! He covered... 1... 2... 3!

I

Winner: Kota Ibushi

Ibushi celebrated as El Lindaman was brought an ice bag. Lindaman slowly made it back to his feet. Ibushi approached his opponent and extended his hand and Lindaman accepted! Ibushi raised Lindaman's arm for his valiant effort!

G-REX Championship Match

T-Hawk vs. Tetsuya Izuchi

T-Hawk wanted to end this quickly, having made his opinion clear in interviews that he doesn't think Izuchi is on his level. Right out of the gate he charged and struck Izuchi with his Cerberus running knee in an attempt to secure a very quick victory, but Izuchi kicked out. That running knee strike gave him the advantage though, and he proceed to toy with Izuchi out of spite.

T-Hawk's cockiness eventually left him open though and Izuchi mounted a comeback with some brutal strikes including a Spin Break spinning elbow seemingly out of nowhere that gave him a 2-count pinfall attempt on the champion.

The near fall just pissed T-Hawk off more and his cockiness faded to be replaced with aggression. Izuchi was rocked with several stiff strikes that left him unsteady on his feet, but he managed to pull a stiff strike of his own out of his back pocket, nailing T-Hawk with a high kick out of desperation! Both men fell to the mat.

After a few moments of inactivity, both fighters made the climb back to their feet and engaged in a strike battle in the center of the ring. The strikes slowed down as both men became dazed and then suddenly Izuchi swung with a spinning back fist but T-Hawk dodged it. Izuchi's momentum sent him stumbling forward as T-Hawk put more space between them before coming speeding forward with a Cerberus knee strike!

T-Hawk probably could have ended things after that Cerberus knee, but he instead pulled Izuchi back up with a grin and then planted Izuchi with the Night Ride!! T-Hawk decided that wasn't enough though and grabbed Izuchi's wrists, pulled him up to his knees and BAM!! T-Hawk blasted him with Kota Ibushi's signature Kamigoye knee strike! T-Hawk covered, and it was an easy 1, 2, 3 after that combination of moves and thus the champion retained.

Winner: T-Hawk

T-Hawk celebrated his win with his G-REX Championship held high, but as his music played, a challenger approached...

xk4HGHzs.png

Kota Ibushi made his way to the ring and stared down T-Hawk, gesturing at his G-REX Championship!!

It seems it is only a matter of time until the G-REX Champion will clash with the Golden Star!!

El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr.: "I'll fight alongside BULK Orchestra anytime. Black Generation International fights without honor. It will be my pleasure to help end them."

Minoru Suzuki: "Damn... Well if anyone was going to beat me, at least it's my own student. Sato, you better win. Don't let me down, or I'll hunt you down you bastard. I had a GLEAT time fighting here. This won't be the last time you see me in GLEAT."

Kota Ibushi: "I decided to join GLEAT because of the impressive group of talent they've assembled and continue to assemble. It wasn't easy, but I've now defeated both of the former G-REX Champions. El Lindaman -- your fighting spirit is strong. Keep it that way. It was an honor to fight you and I look forward to the next time we meet. T-Hawk -- I think my appearance after your match made my intentions clear. I know you don't want me here. Here's your chance to get rid of me. I'll see you soon."

  image.png

T-Hawk: "Ibushi! You want to fight the ace of GLEAT? So be it. I'll show everyone why GLEAT doesn't need you. President Suzuki made a mistake throwing this company's money at you. He should've let one of those other companies have you. You're past your prime. You may have once been the Golden Star, but all I see is a star that is burning out, soon to be nothing but a fond memory to the fans of this sport."
