EdJames Posted August 5 Author Share Posted August 5 So someone just asked me in my DMs exactly what the current process looks like for me right now in getting these done. Thought I'd share my answer for some insights... Quote So, the process has massively changed from the early days of me writing prompt after prompt by hand. Short answer for this last slog of filling in the gaps and relighting is that I built a script that I can feed the old images to, it reads the database of the game for the character details and then creates a prompt (in my style) to be fed into Midjourney. I tweak it, rework it, once I'm happy I download it. From there, I move the image intro photoshop, make any final edits and use generative fill to correct things I don't like, remove the background and then save into a specific folder as a PNG. I then periodically run a BATCH script in Photoshop that takes everything in that folder, resizes it and saves it to a GIF. In short, even with this improved workflow, it's a ton of work! What I'll probably do is chuck a ton into a directory and someone may need to volunteer to cut them all. Even if just as an alt I always loved his render too and signed him off the back of it every game - but he's now in his mid-30's. And I never knew how much I missed the full face render in all 150x150px glory. The logo borders are nice, but its apparently not my style. If you still have them, please dont throw out all of your older or second/third option .gif pictures, they all can potentially become unassigned worker pics. Just put it in the Mega if you have time. Also, Im pretty new to this gif format, but how do I make them gif pictures lol. Can you only do it on photoshop? I had other raster drawing software (CSP) but maybe they arent really geared for that. I had PS but dont know what the setting is start to convert the invisible .png to invisible .gif because when I save it, it gives them white background and the pic for pixelated. You can also open PNGs or whatever in Paint and save them as .gif files. I use photoshop for mine, but I've also saved files as .pngs and .gifs from paint (mainly webp files, which Photoshop can't handle for some reason) 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
