TETSUZAN KANEKO OPENS NEW WRESTLING PROMOTION!

It was a real shocker last year when Tetsuzan Kaneko's departure from Burning Hammer Of The Wrestling Gods was announced while Tadiyuki Kikkawa became his successor. The rumour mill went wild and just a few days later the Tokyo Sports Press published an article with details about Kaneko's leaving. A few bad decisions over the years knocked Kaneko on, the board wasn't happy with several bad decisions and so it was decided that the 46-year-old had to go.

If you're familiar with Kaneko's story, his rise to power in Japan's oldest active and biggest wrestling promotion, you know that he's a sly fox. A sly fox with enough money and a strong inner circle. It wasn't a surprise when he invited several members of the japanese sports press to a meeting to the Arasaka Tower in Shinjuku, Tokyo where he had a big announcement to make. Accompanied by the now retired multi-time BHOTWG World Tag Team Champions Eiji Hamacho and Chuichi Sanda, Tetsuzan Kaneko philosophize about the wrestling business and his vision of pro-wrestling. „I know exactly what the people want to see. Hard-hitting action, guys giving everything in the squared circle, knocking each other out ice cold. You can bet that it will be a super battle.“

According to the charismatic Kaneko the answer is simple: Chō Sentō Puroresu Burning Hammer. Chō Sentō Puroresu means Super Battle Pro-Wrestling and yes the mention of a that promotion is maybe owed to Kaneko's ego. „Stay tuned for more informations! You will witness the real pro-wrestling!“

BHOTWG STARS WALKING OUT AND JOINING KANEKO

Not only that Tetsuzan Kaneko announced his new wrestling project alongside two former BHOTWG World Tag Team Champions, he also announced that three men will join his roster directly from Burning Hammer Of The Wrestling Gods! With over 100 reporters and news outlets in attendance, Kaneko introduced Yasunobu Masuno, Hirokumi Saito and Nissho Yuasa as his first signings for Chō Sentō Puroresu Burning Hammer.

A murmur went through the room when these three now former BHOTWG stars came through the door and took their places behind the desk, flanked by Tetsuzan Kaneko, Chuichi Sanda and Eiji Hamacho. Masuno, clearly the centerpiece of the three, looked around and coughed slightly. Masuno stated that he can't wait to start a new chapter in his career after having a chain to his foot for too long. The 39-year-old former NEO leader said that he knows that they'll seen as kind of troublemakers, but they'll show the people what Chō Sentō means.

While Masuno invited every wrestler in Japan and the world to come to Chō Sentō Puroresu Burning Hammer to fight against him, his two mates scowled at the people in attendance. Killing Floor, their tag team name, are a mean veteran tag team and also former tag team champions. "Baby Elephant" Yuasa was asked about the troubling relationship with top star and Kikkawa mate Nakasawa, but the 41-year-old refused to answer the question and noted that he's just focussing the future and his future is with Tetsuzan Kaneko.

THE PRESS CONFERENCE ENDS WITH A SHOCKER!

Tetsuzan Kaneko got back on the microfon and informed the reporters and news outlets that Chō Sentō Puroresu Burning Hammer will make their official debut on February 19th at the legendary Saitama Sports Field. The name of the inaugural show will be "Aratana Hajimari", a New Beginning. 

Just when Kaneko wanted to tell even more details about the show three more guys came into the scene and the people got even more excited and surprised at the same time. Goemon Komiya, Tsurayuki Kamachi and Tetsunori Yasuda!

The press took their photos, taking their notes and were eager to ask some questions as they were confused about the scenes in front of them. Three guys of Pride Glory Honor Wrestling next to three now former BHOTWG guys and Tetsuzan Kaneko. Yasuda pointed at Masuno and the two others while clearly challenging the trio to a match for Chō Sentō Puroresu Burning Hammer's inaugural show next month.

Yes indeed. With Kaneko in charge I changed my plans a bit and did a bit of creative freedom in terms of contract status with those six guys. I only picked guys who could be a bit of frustrated with their current situation and so perfectly fitting into Kaneko's plans. 

I think it would have been great, and maybe brought some extra spice to the japanese C-Verse landscape, if they did like an exodus with Kaneko instead of just firing him and leaving him alone. But hey, that's why I'm here.

MORE EXPERIENCE FOR THE INAUGURAL SHOW

All the media and news outlets spoke about the recent press conference from Tetsuzan Kaneko and his like minded allies and newly founded Chō Sentō Puroresu Burning Hammer. promotion. With the acquiring of three now former Pride Glory Honor Wrestling athletes and three guys who walked out of BHOTWG on their own, Kaneko reached something he absolutely love to death: Attention.

Nonetheless it wasn't possible for the new company to land another coup and sign yet another major star of the japanese pro-wrestling scene. Kaneko needed to rely on talent which haven't got much eyeballs on them over the recent months, but still are capable of having a wrestling match. The following warrior were announced on the promotion's website:

Danjuro Kikuchi (26, Kawasaki, Kanto) - The 26-year-old is a technical wrestling specialist with now 7 years of experience after having a two year stint with Golden Canvas Grappling until their demise. 

Diamond Furusawa (47, Ehime, Shikoku) - Arata Furusawa is a legend on the japanese independent circuit. Furusawa may be physically quite small, but he had always a great heart and fought until he went unconscious.

Fukusaburu Inao (46, Sendai, Tohoku) - A former BHOTWG vet who became good friends with Kaneko's allies Sanda and Hamacho. Inao may be a decent technical wrestler but he's well known for his toughness.

Mitsunari Fugunaga (42, Morioka, Tohoku) - Fugunaga is a peculiar human being but a real as* kicker. He had spells with all big promotions in his career although his run with BHOTWG was his longest. He's here to kick some heads in.

Yasuhide Tayama (40, Tokyo, Kanto) - "The Coming Storm" stayed loyal to Golden Canvas until their doors were closed. Since then Tayama brawled his way through the independents and surprisingly he wasn't signed by any other company so far.

Yuki Horigoshi (35, Hakodate, Hokkaido) - After working the indies for way over a decade now, Horigoshi's friendship to Furusawa gave him the last opportunity to work frequently for one company. A solid hand and a real hard-working guy.

Each man gave some thoughts about the promotion and the upcoming show and Mitsunari Fugunaga took the opportunity to take a jab at Yasuhide Tayama. He called Tayama a big baby and wants to submit him in the middle of the ring. The match was set as a tag team match. Tayama will team up with his fellow GCG promotion mate Danjuro Kikuchi while Fugunaga will look out for a partner.

MATCHCARD ALMOST SET

The matchcard is almost set with almost all participants announced on todays news message on Chō Sentō Puroresu Burning Hammer homepage and social media accounts. With the addition of nine freelancers of different age groups and areas of the country, Tetsuzan Kaneko stated that Chō Sentō Puroresu Burning Hammer is the rightful super battle of Japan and the very best company out there. The following nine wrestlers will be participating at the inaugural show:

Eiichi Umehara (35, Sendai, Tohoku) - Umehara finally got another opportunity in a promotion after the demise of WEXXV. Originally from WLW the 35-year-old knows how to fight in every aspect of the game.

Goro Hatamoto (22, Tokyo, Kanto) - A young promising talent of the WWA: Japan dojo. Hatamoto is a no-nonsense fighter, trying to knock his opponent out or to put him in a painful hold.

Kuniyoshi Kawamura (36, Fukushima, Tohoku) - After fighting in over twenty MMA bouts and countless fights in a Warrior Engine ring, Kuniyoshi Kawamura wants to put his mark on Chō Sentō with his ruthless attitude in the squared circle. 

Morimasa Kato (37, Hiroshima, Chugoku) - Finally after years of mainly working the indies in his home region of Chugoku, Morimasa Kato will be back in the Puro capital of Tokyo to be a part of the first show of Chō Sentō. A dangerous foe with brutal strikes and submissions he is a treat to anybody.

Ryobe Uno (23, Fukuoka, Kyushu) - Since the closure of Golden Canvas Grappling Ryobe Uno worked the smaller independents and put people to the ground with dangerous suplex variations.

Shingen Miyazaki (40, Chiba, Kanto) - Maybe one of the biggest underarchievers in the country, Shingen Miyazaki wants to proof that he is more than a reliable tough midcarder of the Golden Canvas Grappling era.

Shuga Amano (23, Saitama, Kanto) - A lifelong martial artist who is happy to have his first crack at a bigger group now. He's aiming to fight fellow Martial Artist Kuniyoshi Kawamura and the match was already set in stone.

Tornado Nagai (39, Niigata, Chubu) - Kazu Nagai, a undoubtedly a great and very creative wrestler, will be part of the inaugural show. Nagai knows that this run could be his very last for a bigger company after trying get another opportunity after the INSPIRE closure.

Toyokuni Hardcore (37, Aomori, Tohoku) - Another man who loves the fight with foreign objects, but also is very familiar without them. Toyokuni Hardcore is a serious brawler and can hurt everbody he is facing.

MATCHCARD COMPLETE - A MONSTER IS COMING!

All fans of Chō Sentō Puroresu Burning Hammer eagerly awaited what partner Mitsunari Fugunage will choose for the inaugural show on February 19th at the Saitama Sports Field. A video on the social media outlets of the promotion dropped in the morning where a bright blonde monster screamed at us and the comparision to Gojira was shown on the screen: Demolition Drebin, a young man from Germany who bursted through the Europe has been chosen by Fugunaga to be his partner and to punish Yasuhide Tayama in their match. What can we expect from this spectacular duo?

Akihiro Hisato (19, Matsuyama, Shikoku) - Son of the legendary Great Hisato, Akihiro is a diamond in the rough. He has inherited his dad's graceful attack styles, such as the glorious mask and outfit. Although his father works for WLW he has chosen Kaneko'S group to get the extra experience without having a strong back.

Jigoku Orochi (20, Saga, Kyushu) - Orochi is a creative while also strange human being. While rejected by BHOTWG when he graduated from Hinote Dojo, he seems like the perfect fit for Chō Sentō Puroresu Burning Hammer and espescially Tetsuzan Kaneko.

Demolition Drebin (25, Kempten, Germany) - The biggest surprise here. A young 6'8" 300lbs monster from near the Alps has the aura to become a huge thing in Chō Sentō Puroresu Burning Hammer. It's not a surprise that Fugunaga has chosen him to be his partner for the debut show.

Kuroi Kumagata (21, Yokohama, Kanto) - The son Kenichi Komagata came through BCG's Roaring Lion Dojo but wasn't picked up by them. He wants desperately show the fans that he's better than them and any other in the lockerroom.

Noritaka Imakura (23, Ehime, Shikoku) - Coming through the Tokyo Wrestling Dojo, Noritaka Imakura is a solid young hand in the squared circle and clearly very well-trained. A perfect allrounder in the crop of young guns.

Ritsu Ibata (21, Osaka, Kansai) - Ibata is a young brawler who went through the Ling School. He is already a mainstay of the micro indies of the country and it was really unthinkable that he would be on those shows even longer.

Yasushi Hatanaka (22, Tochigi, Kanto) - The inexperienced of all those guys. Hatanaka used to be a rugby player but switched his career path now to become a pro-wrestler. He has less than ten matches under his belt.

The final card is set: The fans at Saitama Sports Field will witness six matches and the good news is, just a day later the whole show will be shown on Shogun TV!

The inaugural show of Chō Sentō Puroresu Burning Hammer started with a presentation of each competitor of the show and with a pretty sharp video package of Tetsuzan Kaneko and his allies creating the promotion. The Saitama Sports Field was packed with 75% fans, so no "Super No Vacancy" for Chō Sentō for their debut.

The show kicked off with a young boy match with four absolutely greenhorns. While masked wrestler Akihiro Hisato was the most experienced one in his team, Ritsu Ibata was his counterpart in the opposition team. These two desperately wanted to show each other who's the better wrestler here, while also trying to mime the "veteran" of the young boys. It was Ibata who won the match for his team.

 

Kuniyoshi Kawamura d. Shuga Amano (8m50s)
After having some sort of an issue with his opponent, Shuga Amano was very vocal weeks prior to the show of facing Kuniyoshi Kawamura. Said and done! They met tonight in the ring and had a striking battle which had some INSPIRE vibes to it. Amano even got busted whide open after a shoot headbutt by the former WEXXV fighter Kawamura. After hitting each other with palm strikes like crazy, Kawamura put Amano to the ground with a suplex out of nowhere, hammered him with brutal elbows and finished him off with repeated knees to the face.

 

Fukusaburo Inao, Diamond Furusawa & Yuki Horigoshi d. Morimasa Kato, Tornado Nagai & Goro Hatamoto (10m34s)
The old guard faced a trio who couldn't be anymore dangerous than them. With Morimasa Kato, Tornado Nagai and Goro Hatamoto on the other side of the ring, there's a real killer trio. Hatamoto was eager to show the fans and his opponents, that he is a force to reckon in the future. Hatamoto showed maximum disrespect towards Fukusaburo Inao, slapped the 47-year-old across the face and even tried to submit him with a boston crab, a typical submission move for young boys. While the other four were fighting outside, Inao was able to put Hatamoto down and after a hard kick to the chest he got pinned after a Michinoku Driver.

 

Eiichi Umehara & Toyokuni Hardcore d. Ryobe Uno & Shingen Miyazaki (11m59s)
The two former Deathmatch warriors faced two former golden lions, not exactly a matchup made in heaven it almost appear. Both Umehara as well as Toyokuni Hardcore can fight without weapons, both men having a hard-hitting style of hurting their opponents with great pleasure. So it was tonight when both men targeted Ryobe Uno as the weak link in their enemies team. Miyazaki and Umehara had their things going on, from doing box on the ears to kicking each other to the thigh. And it was indeed Umehara who got his team on the winning side after hitting a severe lariat on Uno.

 

Mitsunari Fugunaga & Demolition Drebin d. Yasuhide Tayama & Danjuro Kikuchi (13m07s)
Althought all eyes should have been on Fugunaga and Tayama, the two obviously most prominent wrestler in the match, the crowd at the Saitama Sports Field were in awe of the young, big and brutal german Demolition Drebin. The giant tossed Danjuro Kikuchi around like he's just a small kid, threw Tayama pretty hard into the turnbuckle and even attacked both of them at the same time. Kikuchi did his best, kicked Drebin's mainstay to get some offense to the german giant. Drebin got his revenge when he put Kikuchi down for Fugunaga who choked Kikuchi out.

 

Goemon Komiya, Tetsunori Yasuda & Tsurayuki Kamachi d. Hirokumi Saito, Nissho Yuasa & Yasunobu Masuno (22m46s)
It was one of the greatest shocker in japanese wrestler over the last ten plus year when three BHOTWG wrestler and three PGHW wrestler announced their leaving and simultaneously their signing with a brand new company. It was a heated battle between these two teams, especially Yasunobu Masuno was pretty brutal and disrespectful. He earned some boo's when he wiped his foot to Yasuda's face a couple of times, slapped his opponents across the face and bend the rules to an extend. The crowd were now fully behind the former Pride Glory Honor trio, which wasn't expected forefront by commentator Hiroya Iwamoto he said. Tetsunori Yasuda eliminated Yasunobu Masuno with a exploder and just moments later Yasuda repeated his move and pinned Yuasa after his Minilla Plunge. 

After a short-lived celebration, Tetsunori Yasuda grabbed a microfon and thanked all fans for coming to the very first show of Chō Sentō Burning Hammer. He continued and promised that they'll give their very best in the upcoming months and years.  „Chō Sentō ichiban!“

The first show of Cho Sento Puroresu Burning Hammer is history and we're already on to the next crop of shows. The promotion will held their first tour through the Tokyo region with five shows: Let's conquer the Battlefield!

The final show of the tour will be held at the Ryogoku Home Hall in the heart of Tokyo. In the main event Cho Sento fans will see a special tag team match between Tetsunori Yasuda and Tsurayuki Kamachi against Nissho Yuasa and Yasunobu Masuno. Hirokumi Saito and Goemon Komiya will clash in a singles match against each other, so all six participants from the inaugural show will fight yet again after having some problems with each other.

Also Fukusaburo Inao wants to teach a lesson to young punk Goro Hatamoto while Kuniyoshi Kawamura's request of teaming with Shuga Amano was accepted. These two will meet Eiichi Umehara and Toyokuni Hardcore in the middle of the ring.

『BATTLEFIELD TOUR RECAP』

The first crop of shows ended and in just two days the next televised show will be shown live on Shogun TV out of the Ryogoku Home Hall. We're right on a battlefield when Chō Sentō Puroresu Burning Hammer kicked-off their very first tour with four stops in the Tokyo Metropolitan area.

The story between Yasunobu Masuno and Tetsunori Yasuda continued as the two enemies faced each other in almost every show on the toour schedule. While Masuno was victorious in three matches, former PGHW wrestler Tetsunori Yasuda finally got a win under his belt over Masuno on the very last tour stop in Chiba.

Mitsunari Fugunaga's import Demolition Drebin showed that he will be force to reckon with in the nearby future. The german giant showcased his raw power to the japanese audience and demonstrated a new maneuver, which was very brutal: Drebin lifted his opponent over his shoulder and put them out of the ring with a huge powerbomb. Miyazaki stated after their last meeting that he wants to face the german in a one on one match as soon as possible.
