Norman Smiley: Big Wiggling into the History Books

Recommended Posts

Norman slept like a rock Saturday night after the royal beatdown he recieved from the best that ASW had to offer. He woke up Sunday, and got himself ready for the Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling Event by eating a huge popcorn bowl full of Frosted Flakes and watching some Three Stooges. He then headed to the arena, where he found out he would be having a rematch with Steve Casey, even though he really didn't want one. He put on his blue tights, drank a Yoohoo, then headed out to the ring, not really expecting to win, but wanting to give the crowd a good match. He then headed back to the apartment and iced his back after that vicious submission move from Casey, and got ready for a choice of matchups for the next night, and badly wanted to get a win, which would be his only of the three day span. Norman came into Monday, which kicked off the last week of July, hoping that he would get a good matchup that would help him break his four match span of bad luck, and he would get back to his winning ways. He called into AGPW and they said that he could wrestle Tom Rocky Stone at their Stadium show, but ASW offered him a sweeter deal when they offered him a one on one matchup with Buck Ramstead. Norman jumped all over this deal because he knew he would have a decent chance to beat Ramstead, and would recieve a good payday for it. So he headed down to the arena, got on his blue tights and drank his Yoohoo, then headed out to the ring for hopefully a tide turning matchup. Norman went and got the paper on Wednesday and there were two big news items in the Today in Wrestling segment:
New NWA World Heavyweight Champion Last night at the MACW event, MACW in Your Town! Ric Flair faced off with Jack Briscoe in an epic battle for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, and when the smoked cleared Jack Briscoe walked out the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion, ending Flair's impressive streak. 'Superstar' Billy Graham Signs With WWF News broke early Tuesday evening that the WWF has took another big step in invading the territories and attempting to take over the wrestling world as they signed 'Superstar' Billy Graham, to add to their impressive list of wrestlers, headlined by Hulk Hogan and current WWF Champion Michael Hayes, that they signed last month. Look for WWF to fire more shots in the wrestling war that is certainly looming in the horizion.
Norman planned on training throughout the week, but he just didn't get around to it, and he wanted to save up some money so he could train a lot more at one time. It was a busy wrestling week too, with a new NWA Champion, and his two promotions, ASW and AGPW both made moves. First, Moose Morowski left All Star Wrestling after his contract ran out to pursue other options. Ron Ritchie was fired by Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling to make room for their new aquisition, David Schults, who promised to slap the taste out of the mouth of any man that questioned him. Saturday then rolled around, time for All Star Wrestling. He made it to the arena and found out he would be facing Wojo the B.C. Hulk in a one on one match, the same man he lost to in his first ever match. Norman had improved drastically since then and knew he could take Wojo down very easily. He then put on his blue tights and drank his Yoohoo, then headed out to avenge his first ever loss.
All Star Wrestling Norman Smiley versus Wojo the B.C. He took his six hundred dollars and planned to train early Sunday morning, and hoped that the rest of his weekend went like it did tonight. I had some time and had to catch up. Too bad you lost the TV title to Rick Davis. It looked like with each match that he had gotten better before taking the title from you and hiding it by only having non-title matches with you. The good news, however, is that Murdoch saw enough of your potential and has been setting you up with the big boys in ASW. It looks like you have moved down (promoted) on the cards. What is your current push and your popularity number?

Norman got up very early Sunday and headed straight to the gym, where he worked on his Chain Wrestling very hard, which will hopefully make him be able to string moves together more effectively. He then knew that Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling had an event that evening, and when he arrived at the arena he found out he would be teaming with Bobby Bass to take on Steve Casey and Lenny Montana. He put on his blue tights, drank a Yoohoo and met with Bass before the match and came up with a good gameplan to come out on top tonight. Norman came into the begining of the month very happy that he was back on his winning ways, and looked to continue that into Monday night's event. He got in contact with both promotions to see what they were offering. ASW told him he would be teaming with Tom Magee to take on Buck Ramstead and Igor Volkoff, while AGPW told him he would be going one on one against Kerry Brown. Norman accepted the booking from AGPW because he wanted to prove himself as a singles competitor, not a tag team wrestler. They also told him that this would be Brown's last match in AGPW because he was being let go in favor of a new aquisition, Jacques Rougeau. He headed to the arena and put on his blue tights and drank a Yoohoo, then headed out for the opening match of the evening. Norman expected another quiet week, so he went to the gym and did some powerlifting, and increased his Power. He got a call Tuesday night though that ASW had added an event for Wednesday, ASW Crazy Crazy Nights, and they wanted him to be in a handicap match, and it would be himself versus the team of Buzz Tyler and Goldie Rogers. Norman did not like his chances in a two on one match, but went to the show anyways. He got backstage, scouted his opponents, drank a Yoohoo and put on his blue tights, and headed out for a very tough test. Norman got up Saturday morning and watched some Looney Tunes, trying to pick up some lessons that would apply in the ring, but he didn’t think he found any. He then remembered that ASW has an event today, so he got his stuff together and headed to the arena, where he found out he would be participating in a four on four tag team main event. He would be teaming with Tom Magee, Moondog Moretti, and Chris Colt to take on Master Sgt. Tomko, Timothy Flowers, Igor Volkoff, and Oly Olsen. He got with his team, and went over strategy, then put on his blue tights and drank his Yoohoo and headed out for the main event. Norman planned on doing some serious training on Sunday morning, but he turned the TV on and there was an all day marathon of The Three Stooges on, and Norman could not find it in himself to leave during this epic event, so parked himself in his recliner all day and watched the marathon, until it was time to head to the arena for Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling. He got to the arena and found out he would be participating in a hardcore match against Tom Rocky Stone, and Norman liked his chances very much. Norman kept his promise to himself that he would train on Monday morning, and headed down to the gym very early and paid a sparring partner, and worked on his brawling skills for the better part of the day. He then went home and called both promtions he works for and they each offered him a match. ASW offered him a eight man tag, while AGPW offered him a rematch with Tom Rocky Stone, which Norman jumped right on, and he headed to the arena, put on his blue tights and drank his Yoohoo, then headed out for the second match in as many nights with Mr. Stone. Norman spent the long week awaiting Saturday night, just so he could get revenge for his loss Monday night, and wanted to get back onto the winning track as quickly as he could. He headed to All-Star's arena for the night becuase Saturday meant an ASW event, and he found out he would be going one on one with Timothy Flowers, no push over by any means, but Norman believed he could take him down. He put on his blue tights and drank his Yoohoo, getting ready to end this losing streak before it could get started. He then got a good night's rest, readying himself for the Atlantic Grand Prix event the next night. Norman got up early Sunday morning, and figured his soul needed some refreshing after two tough losses, and watched some high quality Three Stooges, which made him feel alot better. He then got all of his stuff ready and headed off to the Atlantic Grand Prix arena, where he found out he would be in a six man tag team match, teaming with 'Dr. D' David Schults and Big Stephen Petitpas to face off with The Great Malumba, Bobby Kay, and Buddy Lane. The team got together for some strategy, and Norman put on his blue tights and downed a Yoohoo, thinking he needed to get some kind of endorsment deal because he could get all that Yoohoo for free, maybe something to shoot for when he was a big star. He then headed out for the big opening match of the night. He thanked Big Stephen and Dr. D for getting him two hundred and ten dollars and headed back to the apartment, knowing he had a choice of promotions to work for tomorrow night. Sorry for the lack of updates lately, but I have been busy making my own TEW 07 mod, and just playing the game in all it's awesomeness. I'm gonna keep playing this game with Norman, but am not going to keep up with the detailed reports of every match. So the question is, would you like to see me keep this going by just posting what is going on in Norman's career in a less detailed way here so you can see how he develops, or should I just drop the dynasty all together? Thanks for reading it so far, and hopefully we can all see Norman make his way to a big promotion on here.
