I was suprised my PWG diary got as many votes as it did. 11 votes is a hefty amount of votes for only running like 6 shows. Next time around maybe my St. Louis Wrestling Club diary will be up for some awards. Congrats, Wildfire on the award for Best Overall Diary, it was well deserved.

Wade: Any other thoughts on the results from this catagory Bruce? Bruce: Yeah...how the hell did Wrestlecrap by giantgonzalez get any votes, let alone 4? That guy hasn't been around in what, 6 months? Wade: Well I think the awards were meant to cover the entire year of diaries, regardless if the promotion was still active Bruce. Bruce: Whatever. Wade: The upstart XPWF promotion in Philadelphia won Best New Diary. Bruce: Well, I'm not much into their stuff, when I watch pro wrestling, I want to see, ya know...call me crazy ya know but I want to see, you know, professionals. Wade: I think theres something to be said for the mark they've made already though Bruce. Bruce: Well, ya know, theres something to that as well. Wade: OldSchools Universal Takeover and Ismailite's WWF'n RAW seemed to split the votes up which probably helped XPWF pull away with this one. Bruce: Yeah, XPWF will certinally be one to keep our eye on in the coming year, even if just to make sure they're not breaking any laws or something. They must be. Wade: Edge from G-Primes WWE Rebirth won Most Compelling Wrestler or Wrestler Of Year. Runners up were Ric Flair in Death Of WCW and Matt Weise from NWA. Bruce: I think Weise's gimmick, or disposition rather kind of put him as a longshot to win this. Edge is kind of that cool obnoxious heel internet fans seem to enjoy. Weise is kind of a ya know, muscle head. Wade: Who did you think should have won Best Overall Card of the year Bruce? The acclaimed Master Of Pain Finals took the win this year. Bruce: Well my pick would have been NWA's Showdown 4 because I'm biased, but if your into that ECW stuff, I guess you couldn't go wrong with ECW Worldwides Master Of Pain Finals, I mean the thing did get 18 votes. Wade: Then on the CornellVerse side of things we had USPW get the victory over some other strong contenders. Bruce: Well ya know, Im not a big fan of the, ya know, Cornhole Universe stuff... Wade: CornellVerse Bruce? Bruce: What? Oh, yeah. Im not a big fan of that kinda stuff. Too many ya know, crazy offshoot gimmicks and stuff. But if theres one CV promotion I can honestly say I've enjoyed the most it would be ya know, the USPW, ya know. Solid booking, good wrestling, just all around good stuff. Wade: Final Thoughts Bruce? Thanks to Oldschool for the nomination and to D16NJD16 for doing the hard work of putting the awards together and promoting it. You did a super job. I'm glad that a few people have been able to dig what I've written, because the diary really means a lot to me. The last year has been pretty difficult, as over the summer my dad was in the hospital for a few months with some serious issues and I came close to losing him twice. Having something to be an escape from that, something that I'm passionate about, helped me keep my sanity. Needless to say, unless I'm the one in the hospital next, I don't really see any end in sight for RevPro, and if these awards roll around at the end of 2007, hopefully we won't be an indy anymore. Thanks again to everyone.

Kevin Nash announces from his hosting position (OOC: Hey, there was a joke in the nomination thread, I ran with it, Nash is hosting the awards.) 'With Legs Like That' by Zebrahead hits, and everyone waits for Maria. Two minutes pass. Nash walks back up to the mic, looking a little confused. "Well, it looks like she got lost on the way... Anyone else want to present this award?" The countdown begins "BREAK THE WALLS DOWN!!!" hits and Y2J Chris Jericho comes out (OOC: I'm not likely to get to write for him in my dynasty any time soon, so I'm having him present my award.) "Chris Jericho. What the hell are you doing here? Hey, has anyone ever told you you remind them of Alex Shelley? Hmmm... Speaking of Alex, where is he, he's supposed to be getting my suit drycleaned..." Nash wanders off. "Well now that Big Stupid Kevin Nash has left the stage, I'd like to welcome you to The GDS 2006 TEJ Dynasty Awards ceremony. What's TEJ I hear you ask... Well it's quite simple... TEJ is 'Total Extreme... JERICHO!'. Now, on to the nominations, play the video monkeys!" Jericho says. The standard award ceremony showing of the nominees begins... "First, 'The King of [I]Meatheads[/I]' Matt Weise, from NWA: A Return To Glory!" Jericho announces, the screen shows The King of Monsters with his hands and feet shackled in a cage, security guards all around, and he looks rather pissed off at Jericho right now... "Next, the 'Rated [I]PG13[/I] Superstar' Edge, from WWE: Rebirth!" Edge is sitting in the front row, wearing a Rated R Superstar T-Shirt, and looking mighty irritated at Jericho. "Now there's a bunch of people from some place called the '[I]Cornhole[/I]-Verse...' Wait, you're letting [I]indy[/I] guys into this?" Nick looks about ready to get up and kick Jericho's ass, but the person next to him calms him down. "Bam Margera from ECW: Fight Without Honour... Wait... isn't he one of those '[I]Lame[/I]-ass' guys? What do you mean he owns ECW? What the hell?" (OOC: I can't even find this dynasty, but I seem to recall reading the beginning, and Bam had bought them out or something...) Bam looks like he wants to harm Jericho (seems to be a recurring theme...). Well, either that or he wants to leap off a house into a pool... One of the two. "And the winner is... ME! Who else? I am the greatest wrestler in the world. The first Undisputed Champion! And a HUGE rock star! And of course, all of you Jericho-holics out there voted for me. But that's to be exp-" Jericho is cut off by... "And the winner of Most Compelling Character is... Edge from WWE: Rebirth!" Everyone looks up the stage to see... Maria Kanellis, looking like she's still a little lost. "Hey, ditzy, over here. Who asked you?" Jericho asks. "Well, Mr Na-" "Hey, why don't you Just Shut The Hell Up? I am the winner, I don't care what those stupid fans voted for. I am the most Compelling Character wrestling has ever seen. I'm better than Ed-" Jericho gets cut off again by... A SPEAR! Edge stands back up and grabs the mic as the crowd pops massively. "Jericho, you're nothing but a washed up nobody. But unfortunately, you're right. No-one in this category even draws a candle to you. Well, nobody except for myself of course. You see Chris, unlike you, I am one of the top players in the WWE. I am leading us back to the company's former glory. And what are you doing? Well, in this Dynasty, you're stagnating in another company. And right here, in the real world, you're out of wrestling and producing music? Chris, I've got a tip for you, Fozzy sucks. But honestly people, who the hell nominated Matt Weise? I mean, honestly, he's a nobody in a nothing promotion." Edge says. The camera changes to show Matt Weise's reaction, but the cage has been torn apart, the shackles are on the ground and so are the guards. Edge's eyes go wide, as he runs for the exit. Straight into the King of Monsters himself. Edge bounces off and looks up at Weise in horror, as Weise smiles that sadistic smile and lifts him up for a Stump Grinder, as the crowd pops even bigger. He then moves on and does the same to Jericho, before about fifty security guards, roadies and... referees? come out to restrain him. Nash comes back out. "Well that was interesting. Now this is where we'd bring out the writer, but he doesn't want to be shown on TV... Something about Vince McMahon knowing his identity or something, so I'll accept this award on hi-" A phone rings. Maria looks embarrassed as she answers her cell phone. She speaks, before blushing and continuing the conversation, getting redder and redder (not Ric Flair red, but getting there). Nash clears his throat. "Oh, right. It's for you." She says. "What the hell would your boyfriend want me for?" Nash asks. "Oh, it's not Punk. It's G-Prime." Maria says. (OOC: A guy can dream can't he?) "G-Prime?" Nash switches off his microphone as he takes the cell phone and talks into it. A minute passes, he switches the mic back on and holds the phone up to it. "Hey, can y'all hear me?" The crowd pops. "Great. Wow, this is such an honour. I mean... Wow. You like me. You really like me. I'd just like to thank the fans, without you this wouldn't be possible. All those people who nominated me, and voted for me. Wow, I really don't know what to say other than wow. YOU LIKE ME! YOU REALLY LIKE ME! :) I really can't thank everyone who voted for me enough. I'm truly flattered that my little fun diversion has inspired a fan base. First and foremost I want to give credit to all the other writers out there. There are so many talented writers and storytellers on here that I feel honored just to be mentioned with them. Congratulations to everyone who won and to everyone who was nominated. Just for an update on NWA:A Return to Glory, the very first episode of NWA COAST 2 COAST will be up tomorrow. After that I will be off to sunny Florida for the holidays and once I get back, we'll be steamrolling to A NIGHT FOR HONOR. I think you are going to be surprised and REALLY like the main event which will be announced on the premiere of C2C. One more quick shoutout to Jehovah. Wow, two awards... cheers guys - especially those who voted for Masters Of Pain; that's a huge defecit! If I'm completely honest, I would've liked the "best promos" award for my Raven efforts early on but, meh, I'm still happy :). Now, without sounding too gay, I would like to dedicate my "best realworld diary" award to The Stallion, who desperately deserves a mention. He was one of the best writers on here when ECW Worldwide started and it's a deep shame he's not still pushing TNA onwards and upwards. Here's to ya buddy ;).
