Net day phase is Majority Lynch

2. Day skip

This is just paraphrasing.

The second is obviously very helpful to scum. While I'm not a fan of Majority Lynch, the first proposal is obviously a must.

If we go into a day skip, which I doubt we will. Then the other two must be scum.

I talked to the mod about how tranparant we can be with the proposals and got aproval to talk about it in thread.

Is it an either/or? Or are those just both options available for the council to decide if they want to enact?

Because if it has to be 1 or the other, I mean, pretty clearly majority lynch should happen.

If it yay or nay on each option... I kind of feel like nay on both is the right choice. But I'm not sure others would agree, truthfully, I know people like majority votes.

 2. That pretty much sums up my thoughts. 1. I'm cautiously optimistic about the council, even if I am watching them closely. I think you all have good minds for mafia which is all I can ask/hope for. 2. I'm happy about GDS overcoming day one lynch fears, even if it is because of plurality and because the person in question hasn't shown up yet. 3. We got to get better about focusing on scum hunting rather than just council selection. But it's day one, it's mostly just joking that typically happens so I appreciate that it was a lot of serious discussion this phase. The scum hunting will pick up, I'm sure.
 3.

So you wanna know why I voted MoT to the council as opposed to Derek and Destiny? Truth is, MoT didn't self nominate. And I wanna stress I won't vote councils who wish themselves. While I don't think its scummy to do that, I just think its a selfless to be voted by the community at large and those who trust in you. I'm not partnered with Talon in any way.

/nod. If that's the truth of the situation, I respect that.

Like I tried to emphasize in my response to Destiny, I'm really not at the point where I'm proclaiming anyone scum yet. I'm just trying to find other notable takeaways for this day phase that could help us in the middle and end of the game.

 4.

It's too early for me to say what I'm thinking. I don't want to potentially colour anyone else's views with the limited hunches I have so far. Happy to revisit in the next day phase though, things should become more clear by then.

Understandable. No reason to push and potentially blow something up you're working on or noticing.

I'd also like to know Derek's leads but I sort of understand his reasoning for holding off for now. How about you TSS? Any strong leads thus far?

Strong would be a large overstatement.

But I'll throw some names out there and see what happens with rocking the boat.

FellaLibby - I feel a small link potentially between FellaLibby and MoT. MoT's 3 council votes came a lot quicker than the other 2 and I can't yet tell what to make of that. Is it because the day phase is ending tonight? Or was there actually some scum stuff at play. Way too early to know but if MoT ends up flipping scum at some point, I'd have to turn my eyes to their 3 voters but mostly FellaLibby.

DJ - I don't like quiet DJ. He was quiet last game when he was scum. He's talkative as hell in games I've played with him as town. Honestly through discord talks since that point (but before this game obviously), I think he's just kind of been in a funk since Clarke and needs to get his groove back. But for now, I'll say that I enjoy when DJ tries to be town leader whether he's successful at it or not.

Council Members - I'm not sure how the council will work. The first post says council members can't speak outside of the thread. So I'm guessing that the proposals will be listed with the "it is now night phase" post and the 3 council people will have to talk and vote on it. I'm not sure if the rest of us are allowed to talk too and just not vote, or if we got to be quiet about it. But mainly, I'll be looking to see if any proposals seem to offer a clear benefit and if anyone tries to downplay/disregard it. Whether it is town or scum that's on the council, I'm hoping we can apply some pressure to ensure all 3 of you act in town's best interest.

 5.

Indeed. If he shows up, I intend to remove my vote and put it on No Lynch as a safety measure. That is, unless we get another direction worth looking at in the near future. I have my eye on a couple of people, but now is not the time to ask them questions.

Questions or not, I think your reads would be helpful if you're willing to share.

 6.

Joining Derek in his pedantry, Libby, you'd have to Third Talon, and TSS, this is your regular reminder that we dont use Unvote around here <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

...Well, if anything, at least I'm consistent.

Change Vote: No Vote

 7.
First off, Unvote since TBP showed up.

TSS Quote
As for council, I counted 8 that had said they would want to be in it and of those I´m currently thinking of either MLT or you being the ones I would be most comfortable voting on but I´m going to wait after work until putting my vote in (assuming that the three spots haven´t already been filled by then).

Second off, I appreciate that but at this point in the day phase, it doesn't benefit us to add in another option and lose another person that could be helping ensure things are on the up and up.

I feel like I'm having trouble trusting a lot of people at the moment. And because of that, I think I'm going to turn back to the people who I had a ton of confidence in my last game. Until any of us have reason to think it is a bad idea... I'm putting my faith in the Clarke Pirates.

Second: Lukess11

 8. I understand that it is Memorial Day and that it is day phase one. But this thread is moving slow. Anyone have anything to contribute? Council feelings, scum feelings, anything really. Honestly I'll even take out of character stuff like goals for this game, fun changes in usual strategies you're trying out, or any people you really enjoy playing with. I'd just like to see this thread more active.
 9. Oh, and I should have included in that last post that I'm back and caught up on what I missed (although I guess that should've already been clear).
 10. I won't wait as long. Vote: Tha Black Phenom TBP, where are you? Out of these four, you're the one that has played the most (I believe) and usually pretty active of a poster.
 11. I'm heading out for a few hours. But I'll check back here before the end of the night and see what I missed. Hopefully there'll be a DJ's S/T list either today or tomorrow, always dig seeing that on D1.
 12.

You are awful silver tongued, you will understand that I could never trust you to serve my best interests on the council.

Yours? Probably not. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/cool.png.f00d2562b2c1d873a09323753efdb041.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

 13.
Biggest thing for me is that we don't want to rush the council stuff most day phases. If we nominate someone and then they start acting super scummy (or info comes out about them), I've essentially wasted my vote and advanced scum's agenda. That isn't as big a deal day phase one, obviously. Just more of a perspective for future day phases.

I don't really want to self-nominate at the moment (feel like my vote could be useful if there's someone else who could use the support) but the council does feel fun so I mean, I wouldn't say no to it if people can get used to trusting me again. I'd understand if it takes a bit after my last game though, lol.

 14.
I will add that with it being Memorial Day, I won't be able to be too active today unfortunately. But like I said, it's exciting to be back.

I watched the EP game from afar and it was nice seeing town get their groove back. Hopefully that positive momentum can continue in this one. Either way, excited to see what IER has planned for this one!

 15.
Hi all, I'm here. Excited to be playing again, the small breather was nice though.

Interesting that we've already got into the nominations and seconds. I figured we'd be waiting to pretty much end of day phase with those to be safe since they can't be changed like votes.

I'm not used to that mechanic so I'm excited to see what they bring to the game and what the council will be able to change. Feels like a fun twist on things.

 16. Yeah, definitely agree. One of the most fun pieces of the game, seeing everything the host dreamed of fall apart slowly but surely. Nah, but it is super fun to read the host's perspective regarding plays/abilities/claims/etc. from day phase to day phase.
 17.
They threw IER out of the Opulent.

How disrespectful.

 18. Having logos for stables is something I hadn't thought about but now am happy about seeing. Small change obviously but I appreciate being able to add more visuals like that as opposed to everything being text. And it helps make me imagine what their merchandise would actually look like. So thumbs up for that addition.
 19.
This game was a lot of fun.

And Emark summed it up best from a town perspective:

We as town couldn't get out of our own way, myself included. So we accept the loss, hopefully learn from it and move on to the next one.

From a scum perspective, it also rings true. As the game got into mid/late-game we got too tangled up and almost lost the game ourselves. Some definite positives for future scum teams to incorporate but also some elements that can clearly be improved on and done better.

But overall... man this game was a crazy battle. Both sides had momentum at times and even until the end this game could've went in any direction. Which, ultimately, is the best type of mafia games in my mind. This one was fun.

Thanks Ray and Derek B! And thanks everyone for playing and being great people to interact and play with.

 20.
I feel like a lot of town realized on the second day I was lynch voted that there was some mechanic at play. The debate was if it was that I was the knife girl and since I went out I was killable or if the bodyguard needed to die.

If any mafia were killed, I was at risk and it'd probably be very clear I was out of the door and at risk of dying. It'd also be more clear that I wasn't knife girl, that was an unfortunate connection made which confused how I could be killed too.

Starting on Day 5, losing 2 day phases to try to figure that out hurt town's momentum a ton. If it were Day 3 (or if another scum had been killed by D5) I think town would have won this game.

And if the Opulent or Lukess votes went through on those days, my death would be quick to follow. "We are 4 or we are 2" was the motto from day 4 or 5 on, I believe.

Overall: I hope the posting the last few day phases didn't come off too bad or arrogant. I was pretty known as scum so was mostly trying to make it confusing who my partners were.

 21. And also: definite kudos to Ray and Derek B. This game was a ton of fun.
 22. Thank you. And I do think town played very well as well. Some unlucky breaks for them (and lucky for us) made a big difference in this one. I'm away from my computer today but I'll share more tomorrow as well as read up on Graveyard.
 23. Vote: Bluestar
 24.

I asked if there were any other townies out there. I don't blame you for gloating though.

Ha, I figured I was setting myself up for that response.

Nah, but for real, I'm here and ready to vote if there's a direction that town wants to go towards. I can't really contribute much to conversation without becoming a distraction so I'm kind of just stuck reading along. Feels essentially like I'm reading from the graveyard during day phase at this point.
