Lizmark Jr Rough 'n' Ready d. Jey Maggs & Bobby Walker Billy Kidman d. Super Calo Steve McMichael d. Konnan 2-Out-Of-3 Falls Match Chris Benoit vs. Dean Malenko In a supposed "rubber match", Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko kick off WCW Hog Wild with a 2-out-of-3 falls match. Both men met in singles action on last week's Saturday Night and this past Monday Nitro. Both matches ended in a time limit draw, much to the frustration of both men. The intensity of 'The Crippler' Chris Benoit came back to give Malenko the advantage, as Malenko used it to his advantage to pick up the first victory with an Inside Cradle when Benoit went for the Crippler Crossface, to gain the first decision in the match. Benoit toned the intensity down after that as both men took to the mat to display excellent technical wrestling which Benoit pin Malenko following a Top Rope Back Suplex, to pick up the second decision. The third and final decision did not come easy for either man, as there were near pinfalls multiple times over the next few minutes. In the end, Chris Benoit defeated Dean Malenko in 22:50 two falls to one, after delivering a Flying Headbutt, then following it up with a Bridging Dragon Suplex for the pinfall victory. After the match, both men lay in the ring exhausted. Chris Benoit is first to his feet with the help of Woman, but Benoit shrugs Woman away. Benoit goes over and helps Malenko off the mat. Some words are exchanged, then Benoit offers his hand to Malenko, who takes it as the two men shake hands out of a sign of respect. "Well fans, coming up next..." Schiavone says before he's inturrupted "Wait a minute Tony, I've got something to say." Heenan says. "For years, I've been waiting for the death of Hulkamania. Nothing made me more happy than thinking about that no-good and rotten Hulk Hogan to show his true colors. But Hogan, you listen to me and listen to me well!" Heenan says. "Brain...Brain...baby...get control!" Dusty says as he tries to calm Heenan down. "No, Dream! You made a big mistake buddy, a big mistake. And if you think you can just show up after taking time off to film a movie and turn your back on everyone and everyhthing that made you what you are, you have another thing coming!" Heenan stresses as the broadcast fades to transition into a hype video for the upcoming match. Since December 1994, Booker T and Stevie Ray of the Harlem Heat have been on fire, defeating the likes of the Nasty Boys, American Males and even Sting & Lex Luger. In late July, The Steiner Brothers captured the Tag Team Championship for the 4th time, first since mid-1992, only to lose the belts back to Harlem Heat days later. ON their sixth reign, Harlem Heat look to show dominance in the tag team division by defeating the Steiner Brothers once again. This time, to keep the belts around their waists. WCW World Tag Team Championship The Steiner Brothers vs. Harlem Heat © In a good match that features a balance of offence between both The Steiner Brothers and Harlem Heat, it was Harlem Heat who gained the match-changing momentum and picked up the pinfall as Booker T pinned Rick Steiner at 12:37 following an Axe Kick to keep the WCW World Tag Team Championship. "Before we move onto the next match, we're calling in The Professor, Mike Tenay." Schiavone announces. "Thank you, Tony. Tonight, we're going to see an incredible cruiserweight battle as Ultimo Dragon competes against Rey Mysterio Jr for the Cruiserweight Championship. And I say Ultimo Dragon, Tony, because many have referred to him as Ultimate Dragon. As we welcome cruiserweights from all over the world, we become versed in their traditional names. Since debuting a few short months ago, the WCW Cruiserweight division has lived up to the hype and tonight, we're going to see nothing short of a high flying match sure to get the crowd on their feet!" WCW World Cruiserweight Championship Ultimo Dragon vs. Rey Mysterio Jr © In a match that was a bit of an unsure thing heading in, Ultimo Dragon and Rey Mysterio Jr didn't disappoint in showing the fans what the Cruiserweight division was all about. In this decent high flying match, both cruiserweights got the crowd fired up and created an overall positive buzz to their match. Despite a fantastic showing by Ultimo Dragon, Rey Mysterio Jr connected with a Top Rope Hurricanrana that wowed the crowd to pick up the pinfall victory at 14:28 to keep the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship! In late May, an outsider made his way into a WCW ring. Despite the valiant efforts from three of WCW's top stars, WCW fell to the New World Order at WCW Bash at the Beach, changing the course of professional wrestling forever. One man who was vocally unimpressed with WCW's 'Macho Man' Randy Savage, was The Enforcer of the Four Horsemen, Double A Arn Anderson. Double A was quick to question Savage's loyalty to WCW, amid Savage's closest friend turning his back on the world. Tonight, the veterans take their grievance to the ring. Arn Anderson vs. Randy Savage This match, a potential 'must win' for both Arn and Savage, had fantastic heat from the live Sturgis crowd. The psychology was on full display in this match, as Arn and Savage traded back and forth verbal jabs at each other during the match. With Arn having the momentum, The Outsiders make their way to ringside, applauding the match as they approach. With Savage down, Arn appears poised to make a move when Scott Hall reaches under the ropes and grabs Arn's leg, distracting him. Arn turns toward The Outsiders, then backs off a foot or two. He looks over at Savage and points at The Outsiders, claiming they are here to back up Savage. The Macho Man doesn't back down, insistent that he has nothing to do with The Outsiders or the New World Order as the two argue back and forth in the ring. As The Outsiders walk around the ring, Hall gets up on the apron and is met by Nick Patrick, who is now in between Hall and an irate Savage. With Savage distracted, Arn grabs him by the shoulder, spins him around and connects with a DDT! Hall jumps down from the apron and Patrick races over to count Savage down for a 3 count, as Arn Anderson picks up the victory at 10:17. After the match, The Outsiders backtrack down the entrance aisle as Hall looks around and shrugs with an arrogant look on his face. Arn stands in the ring as Savage gets to his feet and argues again. Arn points to the entrance, then to the ringside area, then to the mat before slapping his hands together 3 times while saying something that the camera isn't able to pick up. Savages gets up in Arn's face, but Arn walks past Savage, bumping his shoulder on the way as he exits the ring, leaving Savage frustrated in the ring. Diamond Dallas Page vs. Sgt. Craig Pittman In a decent match that saw the energy brought down to give the fans a breather, we saw Diamond Dallas Page defeat Sgt. Craig Pittman at 8:06 by pinfall after a Diamond Cutter.. Eddy Guerrero, an underrated wrestler in the Cruiserweight division, is looking to upgrade to the heavyweight division as he goes one-on-one with the WCW United States Champion, 'Nature Boy' Ric Flair. Guerrero has the skill and finesse to put on a brilliant match. But can he against the dirtiest player in the game? WCW United States Heavyweight Championship Eddy Guerrero vs. Ric Flair © In an exceptional match that just may be the surprise performance of the night, Eddy Guerrero pulled out all the stops against Ric Flair. From matching Flair's technical wrestling to one-upping Flair with high flying, Guerrero looked to have Flair's number. As Guerrero comes off the top rope with a Frogsplash, the impact on his knee sends him rolling off Flair in pain instead of going for a pinfall. Guerrero unfortunately could not come back from this unfortunate circumstance. Both men got to their feet and Flair easily took Guerrero down with a one-legged takedown, then applied the Figure Four Leglock. The look of desperation in Guerrero's eyes, to decide on serious injury or continuing the match, lasted for about 30 seconds before he gives up at 15:03 as Ric Flair wins by submission, keeping the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship. On May 27, the professional wrestling world changed forever. Scott Hall debuted on WCW Monday Nitro, intruding through the crowd. He asked if we wanted a war, and weeks later, Kevin Nash showed up and we saw The Outsiders for the first time. Over the course of the next month, these two men terrorized anyone they could, leading to a big six-man tag team match at Bash at the Beach. Unfortunately, we know how that went and the New World Order is here. Sting and Lex Luger, the heart of WCW, continue to fight The Outsiders off and tonight, meet in a tag team match that could have significant ramifications Monday on Nitro. The Outsiders vs. Lex Luger & Sting In what we can only expect as an exceptional match, The Outsiders hit the ring first, taunting Lex Luger as he awaits for Sting's entrance at ringside. After some discussion on the outside of the ring, Sting and Luger enter the ring together. When Hall tries to flick a toothpick at Sting, both Sting and Luger start on the offensive hitting multiple shots on The Outsiders, then sending them to the outside of the ring with tandem clotheslines over the top rope to a roar of motorcycles at ringside! Referee Randy Anderson finally gets some order to the match, and we see Kevin Nash and Sting start things out. Sting is quick on the assault, but Nash's size is too much and he takes full advantage over Sting. Frequent tags by The Outsiders keep Sting separated from Luger for a good 10 minutes before a Stinger Splash-sized leap onto Hall gets Sting to his corner and tag Luger! Luger comes in hot with a fury of punches and clotheslines to both Hall and Nash as Sting slides under the bottom rope, laying beat down on the ring apron. An Irish whip by Hall into the awaiting forearm from Nash puts an immediate stop on Lugers momentum when they come back into the ring, as Luger staggers away from the ropes into a modified chokeslam by Hall. Luger, crawling towards the corner, gets a stomp in the back by Hall, then Hall mounts his back and begins slapping the back of his head, much to the delight of The Outsiders, who take the time to laugh at Luger. Kevin Nash is in and sends Luger into the ropes for a sidewalk slam for a 2-count. Nash whips Luger again and goes for a big boot, but Luger ducks, rebounds off the far ropes and hits a diving forearm! That thing must be loaded, because Nash is down! Motorcycles rev up as Lex crawls to his corner, where Sting is still trying to get to his feet as he's taken the brunt of the punishment. As Sting is almost to his feet, he falls off the ring apron and is down on the ringside area! Luger makes it to the corner, but there is no one there to tag! A tag is made on the other side of the ring as Hall comes in attacking Luger, dropping him with a Fall Away slam. Hall picks up Luger and signals for the finish. He hoists Luger up and delivers a devastating powerbomb-like maneuver for the pinfall victory at 15:59. At WCW Bash at the Beach, 'The Immortal' Hulk Hogan shocked the wrestling world, joining The Outsiders as the third man and forming the New World Order. Returning to Nitro a couple weeks later in all black, Hogan made his motives known. He's coming for what he feels belongs to him, and no one will stand in his way. A new attitude and new look, 'Hollywood' Hogan looks to become WCW World Heavyweight Champion for a second time tonight. WCW World Heavyweight Championship Hollywood Hulk Hogan vs. The Giant © As the bell rings and The Giant aggressively pursues Hogan, we get a glimpse of a different in-ring Hogan and a sign of how this match will go; Hogan is exiting the ring to stall The Giant's momentum and bad-mouthing fans at ringside. When Hogan gets into the ring and the two finally lock up, The Giant lays in multiple forearm clubs on Hogan's back, leading Hogan to whimper around the ring until he catches a thumb to The Giant's eye, putting an end to that. Hogan lays in punches on The Giant, rocking him, but not taking him off his feet. Hogan hits the ropes for a running clothesline which sends The Giant out of the ring! Hogan is quick to capitalize and takes it to The Giant on the outside of the ring, slamming The Giant's head into everything from the ring apron to the security guardrails before sending him back into the ring. Back in the ring, Hogan lays some hard shots on The Giant's back as he's down on 1 knee trying to get up. Hogan is feeling the match turn in his favor as he mouths off to the fans between shots. As The Giant gets to his feet, Hogan sends him on an Irish whip, then connects with a big boot! The Giant is rocked, but not down. Hogan presses to the heavens, then easily bodyslams The Giant! Tony Schiavone has gone out of his mind at this superhuman strength! With The Giant down, Hogan hits the ropes and connects with his trademark Atomic Legdrop! Hogan goes for the cover... The Giant kicks out at 1! Hogan is beside himself, looking around at the fans as motorcycles rev louder. Hogan lays in a few punches on The Giant as he gets up, but they have no effect. The Giant uses his size to force an Irish Whip on Hogan and a big boot takes Hogan down! The Giant mocks Hogan, hits the ropes and delivers a Legdrop! The Giant goes for the cover... Hogan barely gets a shoulder up at 2! The Giant gets to his feet, takes the strap down from over his shoulder, and signals for the Chokeslam! Suddenly, The Outsiders hit the ring! Nash slides in and charges at The Giant but is met with a big boot that takes Nash off his feet. Hall goes for a shot on The Giant, but The Giant grabs him around the throat and delivers a massive Chokeslam! Nash gets back to his feet and The Giant grabs him around the throat for a Chokeslam when Hogan nails The Giant on the back of the head with the WCW World Championship as the referee is trying to get Hall out of the ring! He didn't see it! Hogan slowly rolls The Giant over onto his back at 14:55 for a pinfall victory to crown a new WCW World Heavyweight Championship! After the match, we see an absolutely horrible sight as Hogan spray paints "nWo" on the back of a fallen Giant as The Outsiders stand by and laugh. Tony Schiavone is convinced this is the end of professional wrestling as we know it when we suddenly see Hogan spray paint "nWo" on the WCW World Heavyweight Championship! As Hogan taunts everyone through the camera, Schiavone ends the broadcast in disgust with four words... "That's it. It's over." Prediction Results: 1. 2. Love the predictions, guys. I'll keep track of them, though I don't have a plan for a prediction contest at this time. Planning to post Hog Wild tomorrow.
  3. WCW Monday Nitro Monday Week 2 August 1996 Clinton, SC 10,000 in Attendance (SELL OUT) Chris Benoit vs. Dean Malenko In a rematch from WCW Saturday Night that had great wrestling and good heat, Chris Benoit drew with Dean Malenko in 15:00 when the time limit expired. After the match, Benoit and Jericho show some tension between each other as they finish a second match in a time limit draw. Woman ends up stepping into the ring to convince Benoit to let it go as Benoit and Malenko continue to share words in the ring. Alex Wright vs. Ultimo Dragon In a poor match, Ultimo Dragon defeated Alex Wright in 6:07 by pinfall after a Bridging Dragon Suplex. "The Ultimo Dragon looks primed for his Cruiserweight title match this Saturday at Hog Wild, Tony," states Mike Tenay. "That’s right, Mike, and I’ve just been told that we’re also going to see Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko in a 2-out-of-3 falls match at Hog Wild." "2-out-of-3 falls, Schiavone? These two just wrestled to 2 time limit draws. I hope you'll pack a lunch, we may be in Sturgis all weekend!" exclaims Heenan. Harlem Heat vs. The Nasty Boys In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, Harlem Heat defeated Nasty Boys in 5:55 when Booker T pinned Brian Knobbs with a Heat Seeker. After an impressive victory, 'Mean' Gene Okerlund enters the ring with the WCW World Tag Team Champions, Harlem Heat. "Gentlemen, last week, The Steiner Brothers issued a challenge for you two at Hog Wild this Saturday for the World Tag Team Championships." "Mean Gene, The Steiner Brothers may be one of the best tag teams in the world, dawg. But The Harlem Heat are 6-time tag team champions. So you may be one of the best, but not the best." says Booker T. "That's right, Gene. Ya see, The Harlem Heat are the best thing in tag team wrestling. Only a couple of suckas like The Steiner Brothers would say otherwise." adds Stevie Ray. "Saturday in Sturgis, we're gonna show up and show out. Now can you dig that?!" Arn Anderson vs. Brad Armstrong In a bout that had great heat and good wrestling, Arn Anderson defeated Brad Armstrong in 13:19 by pinfall following a DDT. After the match, a standing by 'Mean' Gene Okerlund is awaiting Arn Anderson at the ramp. "Enforcer, if I can get a word. Last week, you had some words to say to 'Macho Man' Randy Savage, blaming him for the outcome of WCW Bash at the Beach a few weeks ago." "Gene, it's as simple as it is true. You think someone as unstable as Randy Savage and the fact that he was in a match where his close friend Hogan is going to be involved in isn't just a chance of circumstance? The fact of the matter is, the Macho Man didn't give his all and if it were a Horseman in that match, it would have gone differently." Arn states. "Well enforcer, these are strong words and I've been told that you will go one-on-one with the 'Macho Man' Randy Savage this weekend at Hog Wild" Mean Gene reveals. "The Enforcer and the Macho man.." Arn says as he nods up and down while running his hand over his mouth and chin, then turns around and leaves the interview early. Bobby Eaton vs. Eddy Guerrero In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, Eddy Guerrero defeated Earl Robert Eaton in 8:06 by pinfall after a Frogsplash. 'Mean' Gene heads into the ring where Eddy Guerrero is standing by. "Eddy Guerrero, last week, you made an on camera comment about going after the WCW United States Championship." "Gene, Ric Flair is the greatest wrestler of all time. Given the chance, I am confident I can take his United States Championship!" Before Mean Gene can respond, the crowd gets loud as Ric Flair is walking down the aisle into the ring. "The Nature Boy Ric Flair!" Mean Gene exclaims to an eruption of the crowd. "Did I hear someone call The Naaaaaaaature Boy...wooo...Ric Flair...the greatest wrestler of all time!?" "Ric, I am honored to be in this ring with you right now and..." Eddy says before Flair cuts him off. "Thats Mr. Ric Flair to you, cruiserweight! You don't come on TV...in front of millions of fans at home...and simply call out The Nature Boy Ric Flair! But I will give you credit kid, you swung for the fences. At Hog Wild, I will put this United States championship on the line! ANd you better bring everything you've got, because you're not only stepping into the ring with the Nature Boy, but you're stepping into the ring with the dirtiest player in the game! Woooo!" The Faces of Fear vs. Lex Luger & Sting In a superb match, Luger & Sting defeated Meng and The Barbarian in 10:25 when Sting pinned The Barbarian following a Diving Crossbody. As the match ends, Sting and Lex Luger leaves the ring and Sting gets on the 2nd rope. "Owwwwwww!" Sting yells to a deafening yell back from the fans. Suddenly, The Outsiders slide into the ring and Nash runs up nailing Sting from behind with a huge forearm, dropping Sting down into the ring on his feet. Weary, Sting turns around and Hall hits a discus left hand that puts Sting on the mat. Luger, finally seeing what is happening, hits the ring and The Outsiders escape, taunting Lex through the crowd as he helps Sting to his feet. Scott Norton vs. The Giant In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, The Giant defeated Scott Norton in 11:31 by pinfall following a Chokeslam. As The Giant is declared victory, referee Nick Patrick quickly exits the ring as The Outsiders slide into the ring behind The Giant. Sensing them there, The Giant turns around. Hall is the first to make a move and The Giant lays him out with a right hand, then connects with another to Nash to excitement of the fans in attendance. Both Hall and Nash get the upper hand and are beating on The Giant as there is a commotion towards the enterance way... Hulk Hogan has arrived! No more red and yellow. All black! As The Giant shoves Hall to the mat and grabs Nash around the neck, Hogan grabs the WCW World Heavyweight Championship and hits The Giant in the back of the head, laying him out. Hall gets off the mat and lays in a couple of kicks to the back of a motionless Giant as Hogan grabs a microphone. “Ya know somethin’ guys? The best part about being the New World Order of professional wrestling, is we can do what we want when we want to. Just like I did in 1984, I’ve changed the world of professional wrestling, and no one saw it coming. To those who said their prayers and ate their victims, you can jump on the train jack, because we’re heading out of town! This Saturday at Hog Wild brother, I, Hollywood Hulk Hogan, am going to take back what I never lost in the first place, and there is not a damn thing anyone can do about it!” Hogan and The Outsiders pose to a mix of cheers and boos, and a ring filling up with garbage, similar to the sight at WCW Bash at the Beach. 4. WCW Monday Nitro Monday Week 1 August 1996 Miami, FL 9,947 in Attendance The "Legdrop heard around the world" is shown from last night's WCW Bash at the Beach as commentators Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko discuss the unknowns surrounding what the New World Order of professional wrestling means to World Championship Wrestling. Ice Train vs. The Giant In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, The Giant defeated Ice Train in 6:04 by pinfall after a Chokeslam in a non-title match. After the match, Kevin Sullivan comes into the ring and applauded The Giant while standing in the corner. The Giant then grabs Ice Train and gives him another Chokeslam! As The Giant stands up, he looks at Randy Anderson and points to his arm. As Anderson reaches for his arm to raise it in as the winner, The Giant snaps it away and Anderson takes off out of the ring. Tony Schiavone: "Fans, don't miss WCW Saturday night this Saturday on TBS, featuring Chris Benoit going on-on-one with Dean Malenko. That's this Saturday at 6:05pm Eastern, only on TBS!" Rough 'n' Ready vs. The Steiner Brothers In a good match, Steiner Brothers defeated Rough 'n' Ready in 7:32 when Rick Steiner pinned Dick Slater with a Steinerizer. After the match, Scott Steiner grabs a microphone... Scott Steiner: "Harlem Heat! We’ve traded titles back and forth over the last couple of months, and there is no one who can compare to me and Rick. Next Saturday in Sturgis, we’re challenging you for the World Tag Team Titles!" Bunkhouse Buck vs. Randy Savage In a bout that had great heat and decent wrestling, Randy Savage defeated Bunkhouse Buck in 8:30 by pinfall following a Diving Elbow Drop. 'Mean' Gene Okerlund stands by the entrance ramp awaiting Randy Savage.. "Randy 'Macho Man' Savage. Last night..." Gene says before he is cut off by an aggressive Savage. "Mean Gene Okerlund, ooooo yeah! Last night Hulk Hogan turned his back on WCW...turned his back on the entire world! But let me tell you somethin’, yeah? Hogan! When I get my hands on you...” Savage stops mid-sentence as we see The Enforcer, Arn Anderson come out. "Wait a minute, Arn Anderson. What are you doing out here?" Gene asks. "Gene, it’s real simple. While we step back and look at what happened last night, the abbreviated version is you couldn’t get it done” Arn says as he stares Savage in the face. "Couldn't get it done..." Savage says as he bites his lip and looks around at the crowd. "That's right. And it's my understanding that this New World Order of professional wrestling, is your fault." Arn states. "My fault? My fault!" Savage exclaims as he runs down to the ring, slides in and stands in the middle of the ring and invites Arn into the ring. When Arn doesn't respond, Savage darts back to where Gene and Arn are standing. "Maybe you and I should step into that ring there and then we can decide who's fault it is...ooooo yeah!" "How about it Enforcer?" Gene asks? "Another time, maybe. For now, I just want to make the record known. This is on you, Randy. This is on you." Arn says as he walks away from Gene and Savage and we fade to a commercial break. Eddy Guerrero vs. Kevin Sullivan In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, Eddy Guerrero defeated Kevin Sullivan in 12:46 by pinfall with a surprise roll up. After his match, Eddy Guerrero slides out of the way to avoid an angry Kevin Sullivan. With Eddy at ringside, the camera man runs up and gets a good look at the confident face of Eddy Guerrero. "This is where the big boys play and it's time to step up. Ric Flair, I'm coming for your United States Championship!" As Eddy Guerrero walks up the ramp, cameras follow and catch The Outsiders in the crowd approaching a couple of empty seats at ringside. ‘Mean’ Gene Okerlund is on the case and makes his way to ringside. "Hold on a minute, Bobby. I'd like to get a word if I can. Gentlemen, last night you shocked the world and revealed Hulk Hogan as your third man. Where is Hogan now?" Gene asks. "Hey, Scheme Gene. Always looking for a scoop. After last night Chico, we don't have any...explaining...to do," Hall says, then flicks a toothpick at Gene. "Hey, I'll have you know..." Gene says before the 7-foot Nash reaches over and pulls Gene's arm towards him. "Listen Mean Gene, we know you have a job today, but The Outsiders don't job. So why don't you go to the back and tell the boys we'll be here next week, and so will Hogan. If you don't mind, we're going to take our seats" Nash says as he releases Gene's arm and proceeds towards their seats with Hall. WCW World Television Championship Pat Tanaka vs. Lex Luger © In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, Lex Luger defeated Pat Tanaka in 7:57 by submission with a Torture Rack to retain the WCW World Television Championship. As Luger exits the ring, his attention is brought towards The Outsiders sitting at ringside. Luger gives them a stare for a moment, then proceeds towards the back. M Wallstreet vs. Sting In a bout that had great heat and good wrestling, Sting defeated M Wallstreet in 12:28 by submission with a Scorpion Deathlock. As Randy Anderson raises Sting’s hand in victory, he cautiously pulls away and turns his attention to The Outsiders at ringside. Sting steps out of the ring to the floor, where The Outsiders have stood up. We can see Sting saying something to The Outsiders from next to the ring apron as they look at each other, mocking Sting with scared expressions. Lex Luger makes his way down the aisle and tries to calm Sting down. Sting continues to say something to The Outsiders as he steps closer to them. Several WCW referees come down to ringside to diffuse the situation. Hall takes a toothpick from behind his ear and flings it at Sting, then taunts Sting with his hands in front of him acting like he's scared as Nash laughs. Suddenly, Sting slaps Hall in the jaw, prompting Nash to give Sting a shove. The crowd erupts as referee Nick Patrick gets too close, allowing Hall to grab him, pulling him between Sting and Luger and the guardrail, allowing The Outsiders to taunt them as they exit through the crowd. 8. Hulk Hogan, you can go to hell! “…straight to hell!” WCW announcer Tony Schiavone ended Bash at the Beach 1996 on a note that summarized how every Hulkamaniac was feeling. These outsiders who crashed WCW Monday Nitro beginning in May hyped a third man to their team, and WCW never saw it coming. Now, WCW picks up the pieces of what may be the most historical night in professional wrestling. WCW’s number 1 guy is now leading the New World Order of professional wrestling. What will WCW Monday Nitro look like tomorrow night? All we know is WCW is at war, and we’re not only talking about a Monday Night War. Welcome everyone to my new diary. The last diary I attempted was a WCW 1994 game, and there was just too much going on in life to maintain it, so I wanted to be sure I could commit to something before I made a post. What an amazing time to be a wrestling fan it was in the summer of 1996, right? I was 13 so nothing like going to school Monday morning talking about what just happened the night before. Little did we all know that this event would lead to some of the most historic storylines in wrestling history and nothing beat going to school wearing a Sting shirt and grinning at that kid with the Hollywood Hogan shirt on as he walked down the hallway. But it wasn’t the nWo that got me hooked, it was the cruiserweights. We were always a WCW house, but the cruiserweights kept me coming back. I hope to do the time justice for you guys and always look forward to your discussions! Levinux

  10. I'm not sure if this is still being worked on or not, but I came across a small addition that may have been missed. Mark Starr is missing from the Worker database. He's in T-ZONE's 1997 mod, for a reference point. Also, the WCW tag team Men at Work is missing, since he's not a Worker. This team was Mark Starr and Chris Kanyon. Debut 1996, no finisher. Only had 11 matches, so I'm unsure what that would equal in TEW exp.
  11. Sorry to read this man. Look forward when you can get back to it.
  12. As long as you can keep it "fair" and not abuse it, you could always set NBC to a WWF-owned broadcaster. Then, you could air SNME on actual TV on 1 show deals. I was doing that with TBS and Clash of the Champions with WCW.
  13. I've always tried to give PPV matches a decent write up, even if 4-5 sentences but it's not my strong suit. I like to focus on the angles and storylines for those segments. Dialogue is something I've been working to improve for my next dynasty. Have fun with it. Don't stress over length and what to include. Write what you want to write, take feedback into account and go from there. Most of all, as many have said, do it for you.
  14. Quite the undertaking. I look forward to seeing your work here.
  15. As I'm doing some database editing, I've come across myself saying this would be an amazing feature, so I wanted to revive this suggestion.
  16. Interesting concept. I'm glad to see Michael Madden is sporting the 'stache.
