  1. Agreed. NJPW don't really want any of my WCW wrestlers (really? not even 1993 Hulk Hogan or Ric Flair?), but if I wanted to offer them $50k for Jushin Liger to come wrestle at Starrcade I have a feeling they'd suddenly be alright with that.
  2. 1993 ScottKen's mod. Heading in to Starrcade 1993. Not only did I sign Warrior and Shawn Michaels away from WWF, BUT...I also snagged Hogan, and UNDERTAKER. WWF is now being headlined by Savage, Bret Hart, Ted DiBiase, and Rick Martel. They've fallen in size to Medium. Flair has the belt - he's been locked in a triangle with Sting and Warrior (face allies) since he returned. He interfered in their #1 contender match to make Sting the #1 contender, but I had to swerve off that when Sting gave me a tight timeline that he offered to put Michaels over in. So Warrior regained the #1 Contender status in a cage match at Clash of the Champions in November, and will face Flair at Starrcade, while Sting will face Michaels. Hogan has come roaring in and picked a fight with Vader, who was doing his usual beastly terrorizing, so they have a Starrcade match too. I've got Cactus Jack up to a Star, he'll be facing Roddy Piper at Starrcade. Pillman and Austin are having the culmination of their breakup there too. And the Rock n Roll Express will be challenging the Freebirds for the tag belts. That matchup has yet to live up to the potential I see for it in my head, but I'm going to keep trying. Undertaker won the Battle Royal at Battlebowl (ugh, thank god that's dormant now), but I haven't yet figured out what to do with him to elevate him up the card. He really needs a strong face to feud with. Oh yeah, and I just poached Jim Ross. Long term now that I have face-Hogan I guess I'll put the Heavyweight strap on him for a little bit and let him feud with Vader and maybe even retire Piper (his stamina is terrible already). That will mean needing something for guys like Sting and Warrior to do too though...
  3. Cool - always enjoy checking out another take on the current world and finding the one that best suits the way I want to play the game!
  4. Yeah, either forlan's 97 mod, or 1996's Hostile Takeover are the best starts out there for ECW right now.
  5. Run shows in other regions of Europe or wait for the spillover popularity to raise you very slowly.
  6. You can book a B show now and just put jobbers on dark matches and have it full of angles. There's no way to actually reference back to highlights of earlier matches in the way that is proposed above (which I like) but as far as just having a "broadcast spot" for it for realism, you can do it.
  7. Yeah, I'd like to see this opened up. At the very least it shouldn't default to any risk level, so that we can customize it based on our own data. Otherwise it's restrictive for no real good reason.
  8. It is yes. It must be a B-show thing, because it does the same thing with a regular B show.
  9. You could delete them and then edit them in another DB and import them again, no?
  10. Any reason why the autobooker can't book development brands? I have AEW and I have Dark setup as a development brand. Despite having 26 workers on the brand, in week 1 (so no fatigue), the autobooker, which booked me 15 segments for a 2-hour episode of Dynamite, books 5 segments for a 2-hour episode of Dark for like 30 minutes. Full complement of Road Agents and Referees for both too, so that's not it.
  11. Yeah, this should really be implemented already. It only makes sense. Going up in size may require significant adjustments, the player deserves time to implement those and build some momentum.
  12. I guess I book a lot slower than a lot of folks - or I'm just splitting my time between a bunch of different mods. Here's my WCW Clash of the Champions 1993. Also known as the "Ric Flair Returns" card for obvious reasons. - Full card - Opening angle 100 Way to start off the show strong Ric!! - Main Event Funny story - I was still debating on what I wanted to happen in the Main Event so I left it up to the Road Agent while booking the rest of the card, and then hit "run show" without inputting a finish accidently. But it's exactly what I wanted to have happen with the Triple Threat match, get the belt off Warrior onto a heel without having him eat a pin. I just hadn't decided on which heel TBH. The storyline with the 3 of them has grown to 95 heat. Arn Anderson and Cactus Jack have bad chemistry, but Arn has offered to put him over so we're going to get that done. Steamboat offered to put over Michaels so I had them team up against Flair and Curt Hennig in a tag match that they lost due to Michaels miscommunication, thus setting up their little face-vs-face series. As noted in an earlier post, Sting is just keeping busy with Piper, but they have great chemistry, so I may run with that a bit longer.
  13. One thing I noticed with freestyle - if you do go to the trouble of typing out what happened you can copy+paste that either at that time, or during the show when it appears, to your Excel file if you use one for a booking aide. Could help in the future when looking back on things.
  14. Using ScottKen's 1993 mod, playing as WCW. Brought in Warrior and Shawn Michaels (gave Michaels a 10 year deal), along with Roddy Piper and Curt Hennig and Lex Luger. Michaels inaugural feud is against Steamboat, who offered to put him over. Warrior just took the strap from Vader at Slamboree 1993, and now with Flair reentering the picture they're starting a 3-way feud. The thinking is that's a good way to get the belt off Warrior onto a heel without having to make him eat a pinfall in a few months time. My heart says give it to Ric (because I'm a total and absolute Flair-mark). As mentioned before, Hennig has joined the Horsemen after feuding with Ricky Steamboat (their Iron Match match was good and was fun to imagine), so they're 3/4 complete. Arn Anderson offered to put Cactus Jack over in 2 matches, so they've just started a short storyline based on that. And after that I just had Orndorff (who is feuding with British Bulldog over the US Title) come to me and say that HE wants to put Cactus over too. So Cactus is shooting up the card. He'll pick up like 4 wins there against big names. I'll probably shift the US Title to Bulldog at the end of his feud with Orndorff, so Cactus won't be picking it up yet. Trying to get young Ken Shamrock over in a feud with Bobby Eaton. Have Missy Hyatt feuding with Beulah McGillicutty (what can I say I love me some Beulah). Beulah is managing Steamboat, so I think eventually that can come back around to some more Flair/Steamboat magic too. Beefed up the tag team division with the Rock n Roll Express and the Freebirds (Hayes & Gordy), and they're all tangling with the Hollywood Blondes. Piper is feuding with Sting. Basically something to keep Sting up at the top of the card until the World Title makes it onto a heel and he can challenge for it again. He's got a nice little informal alliance with Warrior (I should really Stable them up together) - I think of them like the "Painted Faces of Good." Vinnie Vegas is holding onto the TV Title and working his way up the card. I need a good feud for him, but with his size it's hard to think of one. Heyyy...maybe I can make him the muscle for the Horsemen? Or a feud with Luger (but he'd have to drop the strap then, no way he's ready to be a star yet).

  16. This. It's gimmicky, but I agree with you. If the game is going to throw nonsense at me I'm going to work around it.
  17. Awesome, thanks for the clarification folks! Appreciate it!!
  18. General question because I'm not sure how the file structure works. Say I download a beta of a mod and start a savegame. Say the modmaker continues to refine it and update it. Do I need to toss my savegame each time there's an update to the mod (assuming stuff like attributes are tweaked), or will putting the new MDB file in there update the attributes of the workers within my savegame?
  19. I've downloaded a couple times and tried installing a couple times and I keep getting an error trying to copy the DB file over... Edit: Nevermind, cutting and pasting seemed to work where copying didn't.
  20. It doesn't make any sense that an equal number of people equates to "primarily", no. You're absolutely right about that. The solution is to throw somebody else in there who's not rated on sex appeal.
  21. This was a pleasant surprise. Scott Hall delivered. https://ibb.co/0hzPztc
  22. Just leaves room to beat Michaels out of the Horsemen and have him kayfabe injure somebody on the way out so that they can drift-away.

I'm playing 85 (currently in 86) and formed the Horseman. It consists of Flair, Anderson, Blanchard, Shawn Michael's, Curt Hennig, and Lex Luger.<p> </p><p> Everyone hates Michaels besides Flair. That way I can build a civil war storyline eventually.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Sick. I'm looking forward to seeing what I can do with Michaels in WCW. Should be fun. Especially with a guy like Sting for him to work against - although I have him coming in baby because of the lack of babies at the top in WCW at the moment in 93.</p>
