  2. That's been a problem for me, too. That's why I added a whole crap load of broadcasters, in hopes to alleviate this problem. I don't want to alter the existing broadcasters in a way that destroys what they were meant to be. Thanks! Me too.
  3. Happenings Week 2, March 2006: The Comedian wanted a $530 pay raise. He’s not worth that much, I offered him half, he was annoyed. I guess he was shooting with his promo last week... Other than that, it was a quiet week. I did notice we made some money in February, so that’s a plus. Maybe I could have given The Comedian his full raise afterall. Nah… I’m replacing Mitch Bryson as interviewer with Nigel Darling. The interviewer spot should be a great position for a corrupt matchmaker.
  4. Sunday, Week 1, March 2006. MWF Like It Fresh! Melbourne, Victoria, Oceania Spiffy Stan damaged Jimmy Stratosphere’s rental car. I fined him for the damage and he got upset with me about it. Stan might not be around for long. Ollie Freedman pulled a rib on everyone and pissed them all off. Stern Warning. Ollie was happy. Neat. Blake Belushi threw a punch at The Comedian and got beat up for it. Stern Warning. Blake was happy, The Comedian was unhappy about it. 5. Pro Wrestling Chronicles Issue #2 (February 2006) New in the wrestling world this month is the opening of Babes of Sin City, a promotion centered around Las Vegas Glitz and sex appeal of the women wrestlers. How they will perform in the pro wrestling world is anyone’s guess, but they certainly have the ability to make some money! The big signing this month goes to Bart Biggz as he jumped from SWF to TCW. A glut of new names on the indy scene have appeared, especially with the opening of BSC, many of the current roster are former Vegas strippers! The big injury this month belongs to Joey “The Breeze” Beauchamp, as he suffered a complete torn biceps and will be out of action for 6 months. In Oceania news: The Top 5 Most Popular: 1 – Blake Belushi (MWF and SHW Tag Team Champion) 2 – Rick Stantz (MWF, SHW, and AdePro Tag Team Champion) 3 – Boo Smithson (SHW Television and AdePro National Champion) 4 – Captain Wrestling (MWF Heavyweight Champion) 5 – The Comedian Top 4 Company Ranking: 1 – MWF 2 – SHW 3 – AdePro 4 – ARW
  6. Sunday, Week 4, February 2006. MWF Likes It Fresh! Geelong, Victoria, Oceania. Hatemonger walked out on us during the week, but that’s okay. He was going to be a jobber and probably whine about it. Spiffy Stan Standish is getting heat with everyone for his selfish behavior. He received a stern warning. Armando Guerrero was taken to wrestler’s court by Lanny Williams. I decided to play a practical joke on Jimmy Stratosphere, but nothing of note came from it. The Rising Suns def. The Fabulous Butcher Boys (24) The Comedian and Menace to Sobriety def. Dumfrey Pinn and Angus McMiller (30) The Comedian says he wants Dumfrey Pinn one on one in a steel cage. Pinn doesn’t want to look weak, so accepts. (38) Kerry Wayne & The Kipper def. High & Mighty (25) The United def. Waters & Avatar after Sean Quartermainne interference (32) The Old Hand draws The Melbourne Blondes via double count out (36) The Blondes want another match against The Old Hand. Molokai Milk with interference from Lanny Williams (23) Mitch Bryson interviews the United, who say that they are done with Molokai Milk, Jeff Waters, and Zack Avatar. 10. Sunday, Week 1, February 2006. MWF Likes It Fresh! Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Warmonger picked a fight with Spiffy Stan Standish and beat him up. Fined. Warmonger very unhappy. Hatemonger picked a fight with the Comedian. Fined. Hatemonger angry. Motty Kuroda and Frankie Robertson taken to wrestler’s court by Lanny Williams. I’ve been with this group for two months. I’ve gotten rid of some troublemakers, but there’s a lot of residual anger in the air. I decided to hold an Open Forum for those who were upset. Grievances were aired… Basically, all the wrestlers who have been here awhile aired their issues and felt better about it. It, unfortunately, didn’t make the locker room any better overall, but it’s a start. The beatings will continue if morale doesn’t improve… Jeff Waters def. Jethro Butcher (17) Kerry Wayne and Loxley Robbins def. Gods of War (20) Spiffy Stan Standish talks with Mitch Bryson at ringside, stating he will be at the top of this company before long. Zack Avatar comes out and says he needs to prove himself in the ring. (24) Zack Avatar def. Spiffy Stan Standish (19) Rick Stantz def. C-W-A (23) Mitch Bryson begins to interview Rick Stantz when The Apocalypse run out and beat him down. They want their rematch. (25) The United def. The Kipper and The Comedian via a distraction by Dumfrey Pinn and help by Sean Quartermainne (28) The Comedian pulls Mitch Bryson over and challenges Dumfrey Pinn to a fight. Pinn says he’s too busy to bungle with the likes of him and walks away. (37) Overall Rating: 25 Attendance: 72 WeView Hits: 6,295 Kerry Wayne and Loxley Robbins will not be teaming up again. Woof.
  11. My thoughts on DAVE's popularity is through wrestling fans. They have a way, even in 2005, to find out about wrestling. They are more popular in their home region than anywhere else, but there's been a big buzz about them for a few years, which I would equate to the spillover popularity that they have. They will lose their TV deal after awhile and unless the wrestling industry and economy are both good, they will go out of business trying to compete with SWF and TCW (and NOTBPW and CGC for that matter). The only companies that I consistently see having a ton of problems are ROF, MOSC, 5SSW, and the Oceania companies (because I set it up that way on purpose). I think the British companies are in trouble because the scene is still pretty poor in 2005, it's not until the National School starts graduating people that it gets better. UCR always does great in my saves, which takes a lot of the better British people away. Whistler has history in the South East and Tri State regions. He's been wrestling in the C-Verse for 26 years at the beginning of the data. Why is he popular everywhere in the US? Because the data needs people at certain levels of popularity or you end up getting stuck (at least that's how it's been whenever I've played). I think Whistler fits the bill as someone who could be at that level. He's been on the indies all around the country for years, as well, so he could be quite known. I also wanted there to be options for USPW to be able to hire, as they will lose their best guys very quickly to Canada and the Big 3. You could say the same thing about guys like Human Arsenal or Captain USA. The old guys aren't going to progress any further and having them with a lower popularity would kind of make them useless. If popularity is too low, the AI won't pick them up, even if they'd be a good fit otherwise, which I'm sure becomes a problem with new debuts, because unless there was a good reason why not to do it, come in with 5 pop in their home area, because why would anyone know about a brand new rookie, right? I thought about going through and not doing the same popularity through their respective areas, like giving them their home area with popularity, but no one really has a home area set, because that was even more to deal with (though I thought about it). But then I came to the conclusion that doing so would pigeonhole the game into doing the same thing every time. The data wasn't originally created with that in mind and each area would need a lot more workers in order to make that feasible. As I was writing this, I started taking a peak into CVerse 2020 data and I do see a lot more regional popularity in the very low popularity people. So if the game works better with it, I may go through and alter popularity once again. I'll also have to set home areas for everyone in order to make my life slightly easier. And I have to fix experience... I'll see what I can do...
  12. Pro Wrestling Chronicles Issue #1 (January 2006) Mito Miwa snubs PGHW and joins BHOTWG for what is described as a princely sum. Sgt. Bubba Lee West wins the first ever Rip Chord Invitational defeating Steven Parker, then Oscar Golden. Blaze Maximum walks out on MWF as they rise to Tiny size! DAVE suffers an exodus, losing Big Cat Brandon, Kurt Laramee, Bryan Holmes, Shawn Gonzalez, Easy Emma, Eddie Peak, and Vin Tanner. Congratulations to Miss Mexico, who was married this month. Big injuries this month to Hell Monkey, who will be out 6 months with a torn biceps, and Enforcer Roberts who suffered a minor broken neck and will be out for at least 2 months. – Comings and Goings for Week 1, February 2006: Jeff Waters Probably the next big thing in Australia. Jeff Waters is a big, strong, charismatic, star in the making. Spiffy Stan Standish A great charismatic all around wrestler, with plenty of star quality. Loxley Robbins A great looking young star in the making. Classy Paul Massey A veteran of the Australian scene. He has the ability to put on a decent match with the right people. Lou Brookmyre Another veteran brawler with enough popularity to fill in some gaps. New Tag Team The Old Hand (Classy Paul Massey and Lou Brookmyre) A new promotion, Babes of Sin City, opened up. I put in a job application for funsies…

  15. Midwest Sports, South East Sports, Pacific Sports, and Tri State Sports should all be min pop 30 in 1 region. NBI Sports should be min pop 30 in 2 regions. FCI Sports West, Central, and North should be 23 pop in 1 region. Charm Prime, Karano Go, Variety Nippon, and Nippon Channel should be 55 pop in 4 Regions. Vulpix Japan should be 50 pop in 3 regions. A cursory glance says that's all that is wrong, so that's good. Right? Sorry for the mistakes, but thank you for finding them! Hopefully they will all be things that can be fixed in the in-game editor.
  16. Ahhhhh crap... I even did these in the editor. I'll fix them and put out a new update. Luckily, this can be fixed in game. I will make a list for anyone who has already started a save.
  17. I think I'm going to alter the WeView broadcaster again and give it tiers. Even viewership at Very Small is a little broken. I turned a crappy company running 4 shows a month profitable in 3 months with it. The AI hasn't been smart enough to do it in this save, but I have seen them in others.
  18. Comings and Goings for Week 3, January 2006: Join MWF in saying farewell to Jansen Belvedere, who had zero chemistry with Frankie Robertson (the whole reason he was brought in) and a negative relationship with Rick Stantz (who is way more important). Bryan Land A brawler with reasonable ability. Sometimes known as God of War, but not here! New Tag Team: Gods of War (Frankie Robertson and Bryan Land)
  19. Sunday, Week 2, January 2006. MWF Likes It Fresh! Melbourne, Victoria, Oceania. Blaze Maximum uncharacteristically beats up Ollie Freedman for no reason. Fined. Smasher has pissed everyone in the locker room off. Fired. Smasher was apparently looking for a way out. Mauler attacked the Comedian and got his ass kicked. Your partner just got fired, so join him. Lanny Williams took Motty Kuroda to Wrestler’s Court. Zack Avatar comes to ringside and calls out the United. Out come Captain Wrestling, Lanny Williams, and Debonair David Peterson, with Sean Quartermainne in tow. The three wrestlers surround Avatar before beating him down. This continues until the Kipper and Kerry Wayne run out to run them off, challenging Captain Wrestling and Lanny Williams to a tag match tonight. (29) The Comedian def. Gregory Grace (31) C-W-A def.
