  1. Cheers on the release, Adam! What is everyone doing for their first full game? I'm going to finish up the C-Verse 2005 mod before I really start a new one. Then I'm going to watch a few.
  2. <p>Ks and Ls done, that's 135 more.</p><p> </p><p> 749/1321 - More than half way done! Every spare moment of my time. Hahahha</p>
  3. I've got the Js done, which is 72 more. I think that puts me around 614/1321. I should be over halfway done by the end of the day!
  4. Use the 2005 mod. Sim to December 2007 and start a company with the XDW boys!
  5. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="ShibataHeadbutt" data-cite="ShibataHeadbutt" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="49248" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>really silly question but i have no clue how to download this, how do i convert a rar file, sorry i am so out of date with computers hahaha <p> </p><p> cheers in advance</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Winrar is a file compression program. Should be able to grab it from winrar.com, but Google is your safest bet to find the most legit site.</p><p> </p><p> Then you just right click -> extract, then follow the instructions for installing a database on the top of this forum.</p>
  6. If you notice anyone who has a mask in their picture, but not in their data, let me know! I think there are a few discrepancies... Hs are done, that's 60 more. Still not half way... sigh... 17 Is done in 14 minutes.
  7. I did realize that anyone who was added into the database, but had employment prior to 2020 will have to be rolled back a bit. That shouldn't be too difficult or time consuming, though. Working through the Fs. The Fs are done. 38 more down. 421/1321 (Yes, the denominator changed because of some retconnning I noticed.) 44 more, Gs are done.
  8. Yup, move it from December 2005 to January 2006 in order to play during the demo. Finished the Cs, 248/1322 complete. Another 76 down, finished the Ds. 59 more, the Es are complete.
  9. <p>Through all the Bs in attributes for yet to debut workers.</p><p> </p><p> 169/1322, only 1153 to go...</p><p> </p><p> I'll fix anything that pops up and release the next version when the game officially launches.</p>
  10. <p>Everyone debuts with the stats in the game they were set to debut in. So all the future workers from 07 or 08 have the stats they would be set to debut with then. And so on and so forth. Popularity should have been brought down so no one is a mega star immediately, but you never know if we missed someone.</p><p> </p><p> I just had a thought about doing attributes for yet to debut people much more quickly. I've been popping in throughout the day and I'm not done with the As, yet.</p><p> </p><p> Edit: Well, the UID of the wrestlers are different from the default database to the 2005 database. I was hoping I could just do a quick and easy copy and paste, but that's not going to work. I'll have to reconcile the two databases before I can do that.</p><p> </p><p> The way I look at it, people who debut in say 2014 or later should probably have the same attributes as the default database (there might be a few exceptions here or there), so hopefully I can just copy and paste those and have a much smaller pool to work on. Fingers crossed!</p><p> </p><p> Edit 2: Yeah, nevermind...</p><p> </p><p> Edit 3: Well, that would have been awesome if I could have easily copied and pasted some attributes, but that isn't happening. It'd still be 10000 entries by hand. Wah wah.</p>
  11. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Dross" data-cite="Dross" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="49248" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>A couple more (very early) observations:<p> - Some products don't seem to reflect TEW05-products. SWF has been named, but NOTBPW, as an example should also use a product that's a little more forgiving for using gimmicks</p><p> - the match file is written in a way that every new match booked defaults to an eight men tag (because it's sorted alphabetically)</p><p> - personalities seem a bit off, I don't remember Dan Stone Jr as being an egomaniac, but I also remember Jeremy Stone as somewhat of a jerk, rather than Mr. Professional</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Most people in 05 had the generic normal personality and behavior. In order for the sliders to have any use, most people got random (or based off their profile) personalities. For everyone that is debuted, I compared to their 2020 personalities and made light changes if I thought it would be better. Most are as they are this year.</p><p> </p><p> The match file is one I wrote. I'll add (1 v 1) before singles so it defaults to that in the future.</p><p> </p><p> The products are matched best I could see to the products in game. As there are no custom products, I have to use what seemed closest. NOTBPW is as Wrestling As A Sport as there is. The long running joke is that they are the soulless A* wrestling machine, you want gimmicks? Head west to CGC. Hahahaha</p>
  12. I'll look into that, I didn't do anything to the dojos, so I should be able to make them better.
  13. I don't always copy attributes 1 for 1. Some former steroid users are steroid users in 2005. Some people have had a personality change for better or worse over 15 years. Etc. That's why I go through every record to make the world a little more realistic.
  14. I would really love to be able to search in the (workers) editor in the same manner I can search in game. It would help me find my data mistakes much quicker and easier, as well as allow me to balance more quickly and easily. Also a "Debuts Between" field would be super nice. Help me chunk my work up and such.

I spent hundreds of hours changing stats around in 2013 and 2016. I probably spent 20-25 hours doing the attributes of already debuted workers. It'll probably take me 20-25 more to do the rest.</p><p> </p><p> Which is to say, I will be adding attributes for everyone else, I just wanted to get more eyes on the initial database while I work on that.</p>

This is just my opinion and a minor thing as ROF will probably never start a TV show, but I'd put AdePro as "respectful wrestling" and ROF as "wrestling as a sport" (so essentially switch them). 5SSW's heel/face split without any gimmicks seems a bit weird now (but I guess it was like that in 2005 <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />). Maybe their actual product isn't in the game yet, but pseudo-sport seems off. I like attitude-era SWF but switched the match focus with TCW as I think the 3RC fits them more.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I can get behind the AdePro/ROF product switch.</p>

  18. <p>I had removed roles from a bunch of people last night, but hadn't changed the contracts. Thanks for the heads up! Luckily it auto fixes the problem, so the contracts on future games won't be a problem.</p><p> </p><p> For the pictures, all I did was copy and paste from each prior year to 2020 to fill in the blanks. At some point, I may make an "Official" picture pack, but it's not high on my list.</p>
  19. Yep, that's in the notes, you'll want to set it forward to January 2006 for the best results.
  20. Hi everyone, I have, for you, the first pass of C-Verse 2005! What has been done: Products have been updated to the new system. All workers have been given attributes. Relationships and Contracts have been updated. Other minor adjustments to characters. I messed with schedules, then got scared and (hopefully) changed them all back. Everything was moved forward from the TEW2016 version of the mod created by Stennick and myself. So all of the work we've put in since our first release is included. C-Verse 2005 is not particularly balanced. You will see multiple 95+ matches in the first couple months. The bigger companies', assuming the industry or economy is doing well, will hire a lot of people you might be itching to use. That'll be part of the fun. Hey, try to make one of the Aussie promotions do really well. Maybe have UCR not die. Mexico is on even footing. No one has broken out in the British Isles yet, either. Will your Sports Entertainment CGC defeat the soulless wrestling machine that is NOTBPW? Can you revive GCG? Can you take Ryu Kajahara and his band of misfits to the top of Japanese wrestling? I don't know the answer to any of these questions! If you give it a try, please give me some feedback, things that can be fixed, oversights or things I missed, etc. (Note: The database is currently set to December 2005. It will not be playable on the demo unless you change the date to January 2006. Hopefully, you'll be using the next few days to help me find errors and opportunities to make the data better, so no biggie.) (Also Note: A large portion of workers have Organic Bio set by default. If you do not like the organic bio, you can easily mass edit them back to static. I mainly switched to organic because not everyone's bio from 2005 was particularly fleshed out. Your tastes may vary.) Future plans: Fix any discrepancies that might pop up. Add to broadcasters as necessary. Balance the data a little better. V1 (Original Release) - https://drive.google.com/open?id=1cuGaNCt9P48imYzDF7FmGkNES_Vd8O_M V1.1 (Full Release) - https://drive.google.com/open?id=1yZsF1qlkrAa3hI51MgmFIzEaXddUo4c2 V1.11 (1st Update) - https://drive.google.com/open?id=14fvFpxsh5zs3q9FGWbnXLHJ6UugC2DxY V1.12 (2nd Update) - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gUmsK4U8cbhUwTXkkpm7eNLz5o7kxfeS/view?usp=sharing Use WinRAR (or some other unzipping program) to extract the data. v 1.11 Changes: Fixed some data errors I found. Fixed broadcasters to be in line with 2020 data, because they weren't working correctly during testing. Tournament Titles have been set to be defended at their proper events. v1.12 Changes: Completed new injuries fields. Completed title bios, removed title lineages that don't make sense. A few alter egos, changes to owner stats, little miscellaneous stuff I should have kept better track of. -- More Balanced CVerse 2005 v2.0 C-Verse Version 2.21 India Free Pictures (Big thanks to brat99 and Wonk) - India Free Pictures Yet to Debut Promotion Logos (+Australia) - New Promotion Logos People Picture Pack - C-Verse 2005 Picture Pack They are all WinRAR files, so you will need a decompressing program, I suggest Googling WinRAR if you don't have one. Version 2.0 (Release) -Popularity for every debuted worker has been manually altered to fit where I thought they should be. -Skills for every worker have been brought down from the inflated 2005 highs. -Companies have been altered to work as I think they should. -Broadcasters for every region have been added to. Along with the original C-Verse broadcasters, I've added in 220 more that cover a whole range of regions. -Locations are of my own doing (Not all have flavor text, in fact, only a fraction do as of now. I'll be working on that when I feel like it.) Venues are C-Verse venues. -Logos for yet to debut promotions have been added. (I spent several hours making them, so if you don't like them, tough!) Version 2.01 -Fixed locations not showing everywhere. Version 2.02 -Added missing tag teams from the original dataset that got deleted by accident. Version 2.03 -Now with Fixed Tournament Titles and Starting Storylines added back in! Version 2.2 -Added Alter Egos, Agers, and Free Pictures -Also might have a corrupted database, because when I try to add a new worker, there is a RTE 94 when I try to access their skills. Version 2.21 -Reported the database in order to get away from corruption I added in. Y'see boys and girls, I like to edit lots of things in Access in order to make things quicker. Unfortunately, if you mess up a setting here or there, you corrupt the hell out of the database. Hahahaha... yeah... my bad. Hopefully this will fix it, otherwise I'll have to start from scratch. I don't want to do that. Hahahahaha. Things I Plan on Doing -Flavor text for Locations. -Any data altering that makes for a better world. -Last pass at stats. Things I Might Do -Get back into DAZ and make some more free pictures -Make pictures for broadcasters Let me know if you like the balanced data set. I haven't done any real play tests, but the watcher sims seem to work out fine. Australia dies just before APW pops up. INSPIRE is reliably opened by Kikkawa. BSC opens on time. Professor Nero usually gets picked up, so RIPW doesn't usually open. I was upset for awhile, then remembered that not everything that happened in C-Verse canon can happen. The butterfly flaps its wings and something is changed. Stay tuned for my 2006 WreSpi time release coming in the future if you want RIPW attached to SWF, Sam Strong owning USPW, and Jeff Nova owning 21CW (I think that happens by then...).
  21. There was a lot of retconning between 04 and 05. I've got TEW 05 ready for people to try. I did the WreSpi (Summer 2006) start in 2016, I may forward my 2005 database to it. I'd say do 2010.
  22. I did make sure to put the future note on a lot. I won't say I'm perfect with it, but that should be something that gets spotted rather easily.
