  2. <p>The biggest problem with MWF is there are only two faces, Kerry Wayne and the Kipper, well, and me, so that’s three. This is a huge problem. Sports entertainment needs the battle between good and evil. So I need to put out some feelers immediately.</p><p> </p><p> My first order of business is prepare for my first show with MWF… tomorrow night! I’d better start writing and e-mailing and hope I can make it to Melbourne in time! (I’m going to have to catch a flight immediately, being from the Great Lakes and all…) I’ll have to get acquainted with the roster, but at least I have plenty of time in the air.)</p><p> </p><p> I also received an e-mail from Kevin with some goals. We must be more popular in Oceania in 2 years. No one Impactful can be hired and no one older than 40. I can work with that.</p><p> </p><p> My notes on the roster:</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="4TQWhk9.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/4TQWhk9.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> <span style="color:#FF0000;">Captain Wrestling</span> – MWF Heavyweight Champion since April 2005</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> He’s a good hand with decent psychology. Although the Wrestling Industry is doing poorly and only getting worse. Let’s see how that affects us.</p>
  3. I'm calling a mulligan, now that I've balanced the C-Verse 2005 data. I'm starting over, but the beginning surprisingly looks exactly the same. It’s December 2005. The professional wrestling world has some of the best, most popular talent it’s ever seen. Japan, in particular, is filled with mega stars, allowing BHOTWG and PGHW to be seen as two of the top promotions in the world. But the American scene is where 3 of the top 5 live. There are several promotions looking for a new head booker to bring them into the new year, and that’s where I come in… My name is Zack Avatar. I’m 17 and have freshly completed professional wrestling training under the talented Steve Flash. I want to be a booker, so I’m going to put my application in. I’m willing to travel, and I may have to. In the US, NYCW and CZCW are hiring. Maybe Steve can put in a good word for me in New York. Japan has availability in both of the development territories, Hinote Dojo and SAISHO. I could develop along with the next generation of Japanese stars. Britain has a couple positions, as both ROF and MOSC are looking for new bookers to grow the country’s fanbase. And finally, down under in Australia. AdePro, MWF, and ARW are all looking to hire someone. It’s not hard to send an e-mail and a letter to each promotion, so I did. After a week of waiting, I heard back. America wasn’t interested. Neither was Japan. The UK wasn’t looking for any foreign talent, either. But Australia is the new land of opportunity. AdePro was happy with another choice, but ARW and MWF both offered me a job. Aussie Rules Wrestling is an Extreme Hardcore style promotion. Lots of violence, lots of brawling, not much else. It’s owned by Manfred Marx, who set the promotion up in direct competition to the MWF. The Melbourne Wrestling Federation is the largest promotion in the country. Though, that’s not saying much… Kevin Leonhardsen set the company up in an attempt to gain fame and fortune with Australia’s view of sports entertainment. I’m not much of a hardcore wrestler, so I accepted the position with MWF. Looks like I’m heading to the land down under!
  4. In a 2005 CVerse save, SWF lost their TV deal and then fell all the way to tiny because they weren't running enough events to stay relevant in every area of the US. If I set their schedule to TV or Weekly, it says all events will be made dormant if they have TV. That implies that they will stop their monthly PPVs. If that's right, I think a cool schedule setting would be TV or Weekly + PPV (or big event if you prefer). Keeping the schedule on Fixed seems to condemn a big company if they lose their TV deal. This problem wouldn't affect the Japanese companies, as they have all the touring events, which keep their relevance going, as long as the AI places them around the country appropriately.
  5. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Teh_Showtime" data-cite="Teh_Showtime" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="49793" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I believe TV or Weekly would make the most sense. That way once they lose TH they'll still hold events regularly. How did they drop all the way to tiny though? The circumstances around that might warrant tech support: if they still had Keith and Eisen I don’t see how their grades dip enough to sub 35 popularity.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> My only concern with TV or Weekly is that if it has an active TV deal, events will be made dormant, which would stop their PPV events, right?</p>
  6. I think they didn't hold enough live events after losing TV, when I first looked, their popularity in a couple American areas had plummeted to like 18 (I think from not being seen), which dropped them to small, then they just ran in New England, so they dropped to tiny.
  7. Thank you. The AI kills them all right away, but at least the user has a start for everything!
  8. I simmed a longterm game overnight with my CVerse 2005 mod. SWF ended up losing their TV deal and going out of business after a few years. Does anyone have any insight to what schedule type I should give companies that I want to be able to fix their schedule as they change size? It looks like they just relied on their PPV shows, but as they dropped to tiny, they couldn't bring in a crowd to pay for their big contracts. Their last show was The Supreme Challenge 29. Eric Eisen beat Sam Keith in the main event to retain the North American Title. Not surprised. Hahhaa
  9. I think the schedule types need to be not set as Fixed. SWF is Tiny because it wasn't running enough events. Haahaha. I bet they lost their TV deal.
  10. I think you may be right. I'm doing some debut popularity checks. Vast majority are fine, but there will be some changes in the next update.
  11. Is there anyway to set Company Relationships for a company that doesn't exist yet? I want to set RIPW as SWF's developmental territory, but RIPW doesn't debut for 6 months or so. It gives a critical error if I set the relationship with a company that isn't active. As far as I could see, I can't set this to happen with a narrative, either. Will RIPW just exist not under the SWF umbrella in any C-Verse 2005 saves? Am I missing something simple?
  12. Yup, good call. It doesn't open until mid 2006, but hopefully the relationship will work! Having the relationship creates a critical error. I'll check narratives.
  13. The original. Then to fill in blanks, download the official pic packs of old games. I might make an "official" pack in the future.
  14. There may also be some balance issues with owner roster size settings. I'll take a look.
  15. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Satyr24" data-cite="Satyr24" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="49248" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Just a small thing I noticed but Melborne Wrestling Federation is spelt wrong should be Melbourne Wrestling Federation also it's set to New South Wales whereas it should be set to Victoria</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I'll fix that in the AM.</p><p> </p><p> I just finished the attributes for everyone. Now I'm going to have an overnight test. YAY!</p>
  16. 83 Ts are done. UVWXYZ should take me an hour and a half. I would say yes. I'm going to browse contracts tonight and tomorrow and sim a ten year game or two to make sure data isn't massively flawed.
  17. Anyone else interested in Adam's take on EMLL? The profiles are all so interesting. I want to know how the company is run. Hahahaha
  18. WinRAR. Most unzipping programs should handle it, like WinZip and 7-Zip, but it's made with WinRAR, so I that's what I would use. 110 Ss down. 162 more? I CAN DO THIS!
  19. <p>Did I say 3 hours? Uhhhhh... I meant like 7...</p><p> </p><p> I'm around halfway through the Rs.</p><p> </p><p> 75 more done with the Rs.</p><p> </p><p> 272 to go!</p>
  20. Question: How do you think yet to debut masks should be handled? Should they all start at New? Or should legacies (Elemental III, Mr Lucha III, El Hijo del Mephisto, etc.) be given a bump? I currently have them set to New.
  21. 141 Ms down. That was a lot... My recount has me at 894/1321 If I get 3 hours interrupted, I can have it done today. NOTBPW, BHOTWG, and PGHW are 95+ match rating machines. I couldn't get those when I was booking, but the AI is better than me. Hahahah. 46 more, as N and O are complete. (My time hasn't been uninterrupted, hahahaha) 54 more, the Ps are done. 994/1321
  22. Cheers on the release, Adam! What is everyone doing for their first full game? I'm going to finish up the C-Verse 2005 mod before I really start a new one. Then I'm going to watch a few.
