1. Wonder who else is going to be dropped. Gail Kim to TNA only to manage Beer Money again?
 2. Why are we discussing HBK and Hogan? Last I checked they weren't even relevant right now.
 3. The Nexus shirts are only $9 now. Sweet! That Broski shirt is cool. I'd never buy or wear it but I could see some of those Jersey Shore guys wearing that.
 4. I like this fantasy booking scenario. This would be a lot of fun to follow.
 5. That was my favorite title they ever had. Wish they would bring it back. As for Piston Honda... he is no match for CM Punk. I mean seriously Little Mac beat him.
 6. This I think is what the debate is about. It does take something special to reach the heights John Cena has. Cena haters will say what they want but the truth is Cena has reached where he is because of his talent. Yes he has talent. Maybe it isn't his work rate but you can't deny he has talent. Andre wasn't a better worker than Hogan at this time though. Andre was getting old and could barely move around the ring. I was a huge Hogan fan in the early 90s but I was 5 in 1990. Cena doesn't bother me because I do feel like he is a slight rehash of Hogan in the sense of get beat down most of the match and wait for it... COMEBACK! At this point I think it's best we all agree to disagree about Cena having talent. I think people have made great points in the last few pages and nobody seems to be changing their opinions.
 7. I agree with some of this. I think you are right in thinking most internet fans will find a stream of it online. The sole reason we are the last priority though is because we are the smallest portion of those. If we did represent the masses we would be more important.
 8. I don't think they want him to be invincible but they wanted him to give the impression he could overcome the odds even if just for a moment. How anti-climactic would it be if you just had him get beat right off the bat. Him kicking out gets the crowd to go crazy! Or pop as us fans say. Besides Cena should look strong. It will only make other wrestlers look better when they do beat him. Look at Andre the Giant.
 9. I agree with this. BG James and K-Kwik didn't get over rapping. Cena made the best of it. When Cena was still in UPW everyone in the industry was thinking he would be a super star. Don't believe me you can even look back at old EWR diaries back then and old website postings about the guy. I am not saying he is the best on the mic because I feel CM Punk is better. Not saying he is better in the ring because Chris Jericho is better. He does however have the look and has worked harder to get where he is than anyone else. This gimmick isn't what got him where he is either. Hulk Hogan will go down as one of the best wrestlers of all time and he was a lot like Cena now. WWF always books their faces strong. Heels typically win dirty. Rock lost clean when he was a heel but as a face not really. Same for HBK as a heel he won dirty and as a face he won clean.
 10. First off I am one of the people who would boo Cena. I am tired of the act but I do realize he got over for many reasons other than being a big guy that Vince wanted to push. So if the Rock is more over and lost clean a lot then how can Cena be so over with a different formula? The Ultimate Warrior got the Cena push and couldn't maintain the push even though he kept getting forced on fans. Jeff Jarrett got the superman push in TNA but didn't get hugely over. Tatanka in the 90s got the superman push but didn't get as big as Cena. I'd argue only Goldberg was able to get mega over with the superman push and maintain it.
 11. My only point about TNA having an adult product was that it hasn't helped them compared to how they were before they tried the EV2.0 or whatever it was called. Whether you are PG or R people watch wrestling for a good show. To me the PG or R isn't important. Being a Wrestling Superstar is about how much money you draw. Cena is the top in that regard and no I don't think anyone could do what he has done given they were booked the same. Cena has talents that others don't. He connects with a crowd. Performs well under pressure and in front of a hostile crowd. He can do improv. He is great on the mic (not the best though). He is also an under rated in ring performer. If you were starting a wrestling company today and could bring Cena in, it would be stupid of you to pass up bringing in John Cena as your 1st choice. Cena out draws any wrestler in the world right now.
 12. Cena was selling a ton of merchandise before his superman push. Back when he was rapping on Smackdown and feuding with Eddie Guerrero he was out selling most of the top WWE stars. Hulk Hogan had a good cast of superstars around him in his day. Steve Austin had the Rock, Bret Hart, HBK, Jericho, and Triple H during his peak. HBK had Deisel, Bret Hart, and Steve Austin while he was on top. This is regarded as the lowest point for the WWF. Low ratings and bad buy rates. Cena has had Orton, Triple H, and Jericho. I would argue Cena has had the lowest amount of help in his tenure as being the top guy. Plus he has been competing against the UFC boom in the last few years. TNA has shown that more adult oriented wrestling doesn't sell. So that argument doesn't work on me I feel. Cena has helped carry this company and earned his spot on top. None of the other guys on the roster could have done what Cena has done.
 13. Punk would be cheered by an ROH crowd. Punk would represent wrestling and ROH while Cena would represent entertainers and the WWF. Of course Cena would be booed. ROH would gladly accept the publicity from WWE. It's no different than your favorite local band accepting a big record deal. Money is a motivating factor in about 95% of peoples lives if I had to guess. If that wasn't true you would stick with a crummy job just to stay loyal and turn down promotions and such. I don't think there will be a match between Cena and Punk in ROH though. Maybe a face to face confrontation. That would be cool and possibly the actual contract signing for a Cena vs Punk match at Summerslam!
 14. I am just wondering... is Jeff Hardy still under contract? Did he go into rehab? What's going on with that?
 15. Honestly that is hilarious. He had his mom call for him. Wonder how things would have went if Booker and Buff actually put on a good match. Think Smackdown would have become WCW Nitro or something?
 16. What happened with Buff in the WWF? I remember WCW had a match on Raw after it was bought out and I think it was Buff vs Booker T or something but I don't remember seeing Bagwell after that.
 17. People who watch TNA and WWE like wrestling. People that don't probably aren't watching. I don't think people make themselves watch something they hate for 2 hours to go online and talk about how much they hate it. That shows a huge lack of inteligence if you ask me... unless they get paid to watch something they hate.
 18. The way I critique wrestling is no different than when I am critical of my favorite sports teams. Maybe I am unhappy with a signing or how they use people. Maybe I think the backup should be starting or instead of that run they did on 4th and 1 I thought they should play action pass? I think wrestling fans do the same thing with their shows.
 19. I love the idea of bimonthly tv specials. It makes sense and then people will watch since they won't feel ripped off.

I would assume it's the same for pro wrestlers. I know some just want to get a paycheck but I am sure half those guys want to be better and get more exposure. Even out of the guys just wanting a paycheck have to realize it would benefit them if they got more on screen time in matches as it would make them more valuable if they worked matches instead of throwaway 2 minute "segments" as I call them.

They're in TNA. How much pride can they have when Hogan and Bischoff have 80% of the television time and Vince Russo is writing their scripts?

I am not sure where you work or what you do but I am sure you have little to no control over who your boss is or how they do their job. It's the same for them. What is Amazing Red going to do with Hogan being in charge? He may still have pride in his work. Personal pride has nothing to do with who your boss is or what they do I feel.

I have never understood what made Bischoff so special other than two brilliant storylines (that he ended up ruining in the end btw, the nWo, and Hogan/Sting).

I try to look at the positive sides of wrestling as much as possible, but TNA has no positives at all that I can point out to you. They have horrible storylines, good workers buried in short/idiotic gimmick matches, they killed the X-Divison, and they have three guys running the show who just don't know how to put on an entertaining wrestling program in this day and age, Bischoff, Hogan, and Russo.

The WWE without a doubt has a ton of flaws today, but I would rather watch an hour long episode of Superstars than a TNA pay-per-view. I just don't understand how TNA manages to be so... bad with the talent they have.

You would think the roster would constantly be like hey morons up top do you not see what is wrong here? HELLO YOU SAY WRESTLING MATTERS BUT DON'T SHOW IT BY 2 and a half minute matches. Give us 10 minutes to work a match.

 22. I don't hate Cole as much as most but I do hate it when he kills all credibility a face has. I do think he gets a reaction and that he is only doing what Vince wants him to do. Personally I would change his gimmick slightly and probably just make him a manager. To me Cole isn't Bobby Heenan or JR or any of those but he is unique and does get reactions. That is what WWE wants and has always wanted. I can relate to Cole being an employee that annoys everyone and tries to point out everyones flaw and discredit them to the world. Haven't any of you worked with someone who bad mouths everyones work except for their own and their friends? Thats how I relate Cole to real life.
 23. I agree with you here. Part of what slingshot Austins career was the fact that Vince was an ******* and Austin did what everyone wanted... he beat the hell out of him. Not saying that someone who does this will be as big as Austin or even close to it but they will get some recognition. I don't think Cole is on the same level as McMahon though in the 90s either. Vickie Guerrero is a good heel manager right now too.
