1.
The Lakers got demolished and to be honest they had no chance whatsoever. The game against Dallas it showed their obvious weaknesses, in general though here is a few conclusions i came to.

#1 They cannot defend the perimeter, especially when that perimeter is packed with talent

#2 That Gasol is not the future of the franchise

#3 That Bryant made some critical mistakes late in the games which cost them dearly

#4 Getting rid of Ariza for Artest was a mistake

 2. To be honest i am not too sure what everyone is going on about. In Europe the system is totally different. You have teams which are usually traditionally strong and those which are not and it all has to do with the cash they can spend. With the NBA you have this cap (which i think is totally dumb). The whole goal of this dumb cap it to balance the league and have more competition. However look at it this way, what is the point of having big market teams playing bad? Maybe there is too many teams, that i cannot argue, but having salary caps and such simply does not make sense to me. In European football they are thinking of adding a cap based upon revenue, that i can understand, but what you guys have is just an artificial attempt in trying to force teams to be balanced. Bottom line is that stars want to play together and in the end they find ways to try to make that happen and they usually end up on those big market teams irrelevant of you having stupid caps or not. I rather see a league where there is 5-6 super teams, 8-10 good teams and 20 average to poor ones than a league of 30 teams all slightly above average teams.
 3. This one could be key, interesting if they have any more cap space to add another good player at Guard
 4. Bisping v Rivera was always just going to have one result, Bisping is not particularly great, however Rivera is below average at best these days, i am not so sure why he was in the main event to be honest
 5. I personally am not too keen on the lower weight classes, i can just about absorb seeing 155lbs fighters, anything lower than that is almost 3x smaller than me and is similar to watching super lightweights. Then again i have rarely seen any WEC fights so far, maybe i should do that before opening my big mouth:p
 6.
That is my point, bottom line Lebron ended up being like all the rest, just went where the money is, left behind him his own state, gave up on trying to make the Cavs a proper franchise and slotted a bunch of superstars together to make things easier.

Winning titles when you have 3 of the 10 best players (and 2 of the top 5) on one team means little. Even if we take some of the great players of the past such as Barkley, Drexler or more recently Garnett, they gave a good try in their own teams to try to win things before trying moving to a "ready made" team, late in their career to win titles. In this case we have 3 players in their prime.

Also i do not agree with what you said about Lebron not having the influence to bring stars to Cleveland, i am sure he could do that, in the end he simply "followed" someone elses plan, instead of creating his own.

Good luck to him, hope he screws up

 7. Walker was a pretty good player when they were together. I think Pierce did the right thing (obviously that can be easily said now) to stick with the Celtic. I think allot of the credit needs to go to their coach though, i think he does a fantastic job to get the most out of what they have, his team spirit is second to none and look how he turned around last years Celtics? Most people had them finished way before the playoffs started, they went to the finals and if not for a very good Lakers team they would have done it. I still think the Lakers are the team to beat this year and one thing is for certain i sure do not want the Heat to ever win the title as long as Kobe is alive. I think Lebron did the worse thing possible for his career. If he really wanted to be the "King" he would stay in his own castle and attract Wade over to Cleveland instead, they could make up the space for at least one of either Wade, Bosh or Stoudemire and the Cavs have a pretty decent nucleus around. So unless the Heat go on in the next 6-7 years and win at least 4-5 titles, this move was a bad one and some how i do not think they will win so many. Winning 1 or 2 titles as a Cavs player is worth way more than winning 5-6 "manufactured" titles with the Heat.
 8. Rondo is a surprise to me, back 3ish years ago, i always thought he was being pushed way too much, i actually liked House more back then. He has however improved allot, that i have to say, his D is very impressive, he really is a great competitor and organizes the attack well. He is not the great offensive player, his shooting is average at best and i still think he should stick to what he is good at, which is setting up his team mates, especially if you consider who he has as team mates.
 9. I think you need to go and see some of his more recent fights. In the US\Strikeforce he has not got much action and not allot of people know him, go to Japan or Europe the picture changes. That said the title they are fighting for is a paper title as mentioned here;)
 10. The general problem with Strikeforce and with Affliction for that matter is that they have the ambition and the financial backing and exposure, the problem is that they both lack anything to expose:p If you look at both of their rosters they had a bunch of mainly UFC veterans which were basically past their prime + Fedor. One superstar is not enough to "carry" any organization to the level the UFC is now. The UFC has been around for ages, they basically have their own "farm" system which grows their own talent though TUF and their regular PPV shows. It took them ages to get to where they are today and allot of people forget that the UFC was at one point in time in a similar position that Strikeforce are today (in other words with a roster made up of fighters from other companies or from other fight sports). I think if anyone ever wants to compete with the UFC they need to have a long term plan, take it easy, build up a proper roster of your own fighters with a few additions from outside and build up, eventually 5-6 years down the road things could be different
 11. I like the Pro format more than the college. I like the idea of long term careers, more stats ect.
