"Cowboy" Bill Watts, who came to WCW in the buyout of NWC a few months ago, decided to run his mouth to a few of the wrong people and got some heat in the locker room. Harley Race quickly told him to, in no doubt much harsher terms, take his hat and go home with it. Watts, incensed, left, and likely will never return to these halls. We understand he and Race now have some heat between the two. In order to make up for his departure, Larry Zbyszko has returned to WCW to continue his role as a road agent.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Option 3: WCW wrestlers signed on! </span></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Brand new contracts were signed by BG Armstrong and Jean-Paul Levesque to stay with WCW for years to come. 3. I'm back from Otakon! Fun weekend, but now it's time to relax and write for the War

I think if not for that, I'd have likely gotten A's or A*'s out of both that and Chono/Sting.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="The Final Countdown" data-cite="The Final Countdown" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> Comments: I wouldn't be surprised if the Nastys never win another match in this diary.</p><p> </p><p> Super Nova vs. <strong>“The Monster” Vader w/Sonny Onoo</strong></p><p> Comments: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I wouldn't be either <_< And Nova has a chance! I book him strongly, but he really hasn't won too many matches. He's just kinda there in the shuffle of all the people I'm pushing around him. BUT MAYBE THIS WILL BE HIS CHANCE! *DUN DUN DUN*</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Ritchardo" data-cite="Ritchardo" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Comments on Last Show: Yeah, I saw the RW turn coming - but to be honest it was only because Dusty got me the last time, not because it was badly written or telegraphed! By having him on board you've changed it from the old school Hogan buddies stable and opened the door for other dominant figures - I thought that if the KOW were serious about their self proclaimed title then they'd need the greatest tag team on board as well. You've turned Dusty vs Dustin Rhodes into a compelling storyline as well. Sting & Flair together will be fun... but it won't last... it never does... it's the old Lex Luger adage - when will Sting learn that they always turn on him. ALWAYS!</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> It's good to know that it wasn't because I telegraphed it, just you being ESP <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> I honestly almost didn't sign the Warriors, even when Hawk finished up with NJPW. But I was getting tired of the Nastys (though the past few matches I've had them in, they're really shining) and like you said, Dusty being with the KoW has really opened up the floodgates. And I'm glad you're enjoying Dusty vs Dustin; I realized that anytime I've ever seen a diary featuring both of them, either they stay friendly or else Dustin turns on his father. For once, I wanted to see the father be the one on the wrong side, with son trying to turn him back.... to the light side <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="TeflonBilly" data-cite="TeflonBilly" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Comments on Last Show: I liked the WCW vs The World PPV. It was a nice break from the regular programming, and helped build a little more anticipation for the main storylines. Having something that didn't really pertain to anything (especially not on the NJPW side, because I set half of my traded people to be different from where they are there - in New-Japan, Mutoh is a heel, Hashimoto is a face, Sasaki is a face, Chono was a face but was just turned heel almost right after the ppv, Choshu is a heel, and Liger is a heel. Had I paid attention much, instead of the tag match I would've definitely had Pillman vs Liger, but I didn't even realize he had just won their title. Though I did find that they have great chemistry as partners - food for thought if I ever bring Jushin back around.</p>

It made WCW much money, and raised our popularity in Japan greatly. The buyrate, a 2.66, is incredible given half of the card were wrestlers that most American fans aren’t familiar with. Only one thing unfortunate happened, which is while WCW were in Japan, they released young star Hayabusa from his pay-per-appearance contract. There were no hard feelings involved on either side, as Hayabusa is free to concentrate on FMW again; officials at WCW said that they wished they could have developed this unique talent more, but his other commitments always had him so worn down that they dared not book him or risk an injury. WCW do retain the contract of Hakushi, however, and it sounds as though they want to prepare a singles push for the young man. </div></blockquote> <p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Option 8: What you aren't missing elsewhere!</span></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Great taping guys, really; Yokozuna sitting on The Undertaker? Sting is standing in the center ring with a microphone, and he says that the Kings of Wrestling really got one over on him, as according to the rules of the match, now he can’t challenge for the WCW World title for a year. The crowd boos, save one fan holding up a sign reading “Hey Sting! only 349 days left!” Sting calms them, saying that there is nothing he can do about the ending of the match; it was completely unfair the way it went down, with Roddy Piper coming out and distracting him, but he cannot fault Ric Flair for taking advantage of the situation. He says that there’s no way that “The Stinger” is gonna take this lying down though, and even if he can’t wrestle for the World title itself, he’s gonna be a pain in the KoW’s collective you-know-what until he can, and as soon as he can, he’s going to see Hollywood Hogan in the ring and make him cry in the Scorpion Deathlock!</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/ZHQTLLgBF78?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Surprisingly, the interruption is from “Nature Boy” Ric Flair coming out to the ring! He smiles at a sign that says “Sorry Ric! I never should have doubted you!” Flair gets in the ring and he tells Sting that he’s sorry about the way it went down; but he had to get that win and that number one contender spot. He says that Sting shouldn’t worry though – because if “The Nature Boy” has anything to do about it, in a year’s time, it’ll be Flair who Sting faces for the World championship! But until then, he’ll be just as happy helping Sting on his journey to rid the company of Hogan and his so-called Kings of Wrestling! But Flair says that he wants to see the match just as much as all the people want to see it, and that’s Hogan against Sting! Flair says he looked over the contract very fine before ever signing it, and one thing he saw listed was that his shot can come anytime he chooses, with proper notification given! And if Sting promises to do what he says he will, then Ric will step aside, ever so briefly, by putting a challenge out to Roddy Piper for Starrcade, for what he has done in helping to turn WCW upside-down! And maybe, just maybe, that’ll mean that we get to see another first-time, epic matchup in 1994! The crowd cheer that loudly, and the two shake hands and pose for the fans as we head to a commercial break.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Rating: B+</em></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/TerryTaylor.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/ScottyRiggs.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/vs.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/StevenRegal.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/LannyPoffo.jpg</span><p> <strong>The Playboys vs. The Blue Bloods</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> In Baron Leonard’s first WCW match, he and Lord Steven Regal take Scott Stud and Terry Taylor to their limit, Regal stretching them this way and that for Tomas to impress with an aerial game that nobody would have expected to see from him. They point to a sign proclaiming that “Road Warriors are the Nastier Boys!” as they climb into the ring. Dusty takes the mic and says that it seems everyone wants an explanation again. He says that everyone knows the Road Warriors are the best tag team in the history of wrestling, the only men to hold every tag team championship that matters. He begs the question though, where have they been? He passes the microphone to Animal, who says that after he took some time off, Hawk was forced to go to Japan, because that was the only people who would show him the respect that they deserve! But all the while, they hungered for dominance again. Hawk takes the mic then, saying that people should have known this was coming from day one when Dusty showed that he was with the KoW – as if it was going to take long for them to have their old friend’s back! The former two-time six-man tag team champions may have had some problems back in the 80’s, but that was an age ago, and when Dusty made the call, the only thing they had to wait on was Hawk’s time in New-Japan to end, and how perfect was it that it fell right when WCW decided to “be cute” and bring back WarGames? Dusty says that he told Hollywood after the first time the Nastys lost the Tag titles to Harlem Heat that they just weren’t cutting it. Rhodes shakes his head, saying that he bit his tongue when they won the belts back, but as soon as they lost them again, Hogan was convinced that it was time for a changing of the guard “if you weel!” Animal says that they do almost feel bad about what happened to Dustin last Sunday, but not too bad; he was warned what would happen if he stepped into war on the wrong side!</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/ArnAnderson.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/RickySteamboat.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> That brings out two men who aren’t happy about what happened at WrestleWar, Arn Anderson and Ricky Steamboat! Arn does most of the talking, saying that of all the people he’s ever met in his wrestling career, the two men he always knew would be there if you wanted a great, straight-up fight was the Road Warriors. He says that in the moment, it didn’t really register, but after a few days to think about it, he’s had to reorganize his thoughts – and it angers him greatly to find out what kind of cowards they have become! Hawk and Animal visibly bristle in the ring, as Steamboat talks about how he too always thought that even with their violent demeanor, he always thought they were men of honor, at least enough honor to not bludgeon a rising young star, a family friend, with a spiked gauntlet like they did! Hawk replies that Steamboat can act surprised all he wants, but Arn knows them better than that. Arn knows all about winning at any cost, better than anybody else! Anderson agrees, saying that he’s never worn a white hat in his entire career; but even with all the things he’s done in his life, at least he did it all face-to-face and didn’t sneak in the back door like he was yellow! Animal tells him that he needs to watch his mouth before it needs wired shut, when Anderson says that he’s out here with a purpose, and that’s to make them mad – under strict orders from “The Natural” Dustin Rhodes! Arn says that while Dustin hasn’t heard a word from his daddy about his condition, he and Ricky have been at the hospital with him, and if there’s one thing that Dustin wants, it’s seeing the Road Warriors across the ring from him and “The Dragon” at Starrcade, to teach them a lesson about respect that apparently they never learned in Chicago! The Warriors consult one another and laugh, Hawk saying that it’ll be their funeral.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Rating: B-</em></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/PaulOrndorff.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWs/JimmyHart2.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/vs.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/MrJL.jpg</span><p> <strong>“Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff w/Jimmy Hart vs. Ichii Yazaki</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Tony calls him “a masked sensation” but Yazaki has yet to be all that sensational in WCW as of yet. He does use this rare opportunity on Saturday Night to show off some skills though, which he does by taking Orndorff to the limit with an impressive mixture of mat wrestling and a few solid moves off the ropes. Yazaki is definitely a diamond in the rough in the midcard, but Orndorff is one of the main members of the KoW (win-loss record being whatever it may be) and on top of that is a very well-seasoned veteran. The new faster pace may not be what he’s altogether used to, but he weathers the storm and gets out of the way when Ichii comes off the ropes attempting a cross body. She says that she’s done managing for now (which drops a lot of the wind out of Johnny’s sails in itself) and is going to do something for herself now that she doesn’t have to be “the Diamond Doll” anymore. 8. A quick announcement: I am holding a show in the VERY near future that I will let you guys see (of course) but it won't be getting a major recap - just slightly more than Main Event gets - and I don't think I'll put it into predictions because aside from one match, it has nothing to do with storylines. You'll get to hear all about it on Saturday Night and in the next Hotline; it's a huge announcement! I'll give the card out after it's announced, but like I said I doubt it'll have any impact on predictions.

Del Ray and Gibson start the match, but it's not long until all four men are involved. Ventura says it's a good thing they decided to give the very talented official Randy Anderson this match, because it takes all he has to keep this from turning into a huge pier-six brawl. The Express take control on Prichard with some fast tags, but Morton gets caught in the wrong side of the ring (all matches are supposed to take place in ring one until WarGames itself, for those who pay attention to those kinds of small details; so anytime in other matches I say "the ring" that's where I mean) after a hairpull from the outside by Del Ray, and the Bodies go to work on him. The only thing sad about this is how Morton is basically going through all of his standard motions, all the comebacks, all the selling... but this isn't the 80's anymore, and while the crowd are into it, he just isn't the paradigm of face-in-peril like he used to be. At one point, Morton is making a comeback after ducking a standing side kick from Del Ray and popping him with a dropkick, when Prichard enters the ring as well. Gibson comes in too, and it's the brawl they've all been looking for all match long! A double dropkick sends Del Ray out of the ring, and they look ready to put Dr. Tom out of their misery, but from the outside "The Gigolo" hits Ricky with one of the US Tag title belts! Randy Anderson sees it and calls for an immediate disqualification!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Winners and STILL WCW United States Tag Team Champions: The Rock 'n Roll Express, by DQ at 9:39</em></p><p><em> Rating: C</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> When the match is finished, the action isn't, as both teams are unsatisfied with that ending. So at Starrcade, the Rock 'n Roll Express will defend their titles against the Heavenly Bodies, and there must be a decisive winner! Until then, all four of them are told that unless it is a sanctioned match, they are not to touch one another whatsoever! Ventura says that as good a team as Bad Attitude were on paper, neither man seemed comfortable with one another like what they each were when teaming with Stan Lane, and so it was probably for the best that they split up. Eaton hits the ring hot and heavy, looking for revenge for the tainted loss on Saturday Night. This one is very fast-paced, two veterans putting on a good match, but unfortunately their stocks have fallen so much in the past few months that the crowd are merely appreciative. Keirn uses some cheap tactics to get in the lead, but if anybody knows how to fight dirty, it's Beautiful Bobby, and in no time at all he has Steve on the mat, and following an impressive missile dropkick, he goes back to the top and drops the Alabama Jam to gain a very quick and decisive victory.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Winner: Bobby Eaton, in 5:47</em></p><p><em> Rating: C-</em></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/Vader.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWs/GordonSolie.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> Gordon Solie is standing by backstage with the monster Vader, as Sonny Onoo circles around his man snapping pictures. Butcher ducks out of the ring for a breather, but he doesn’t get one as Brian leaps out after him with a suicide dive! After this early flurry though, Butcher and Jimmy get on track, feeding off one another to keep Pillman grounded as much as possible. This tactic works for a little while, but not indefinitely. The unstable champion gets out of a sleeperhold by rushing the turnbuckles and smashing Butcher’s head into it as the crowd cheers. At one point in the match, Butcher backdrops Pillman, and he lands on the ropes between the rings – but before he can take advantage, Brian turns himself and dives between the rings! On his way out, he trips Jimmy Hart, sending him to the floor in a mixture of embarrassment and annoyance!</p><p> </p><p> Jimmy Hart slips the megaphone into the ring, but referee Mickey Jay intercepts it and gives it to the timekeeper! Butcher comes back, hitting a double axehandle off the middle turnbuckle, and he works on Pillman’s neck area as commentary talk about his past throat issues. The challenger again goes for his sleeperhold, and this time Brian starts to fade! Pillman goes down to one knee, and Mickey Jay starts questioning if he’s out – but at the last moment, he throws his foot under the bottom rope! Butcher releases the hold and backs off a few paces, and he rushes in for a high knee that will surely spell the end of Brian’s reign; but he ducks between the ropes of the two rings again! Pillman gets to his feet and punches Butcher across the ropes, before jumping up and doing a DOUBLE springboard into Air Pillman! Brian hooks the leg, and this one is over!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Winner and STILL WCW World Television Champion: Brian Pillman, in 16:06</em></p><p><em> Rating: B-</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> The match is over, and Brian laughs as he is awarded his TV championship. Stevie Ray starts the match with "B-Rad" and Brad quickly shows that he is the most experienced man in this one by turning all of Ray's offense right back against him. Brad tags out to brother BG, and he uses his cunning to keep his larger foe on his toes. But once Stevie catches him, it's straight power game, as he throws BG around like a ragdoll! He slams him into the turnbuckles and hits hammering forearms until referee Nick Patrick makes him stop, then makes the tag out to Booker. In the crowd a fan raises a sign reading "F-Double E-L T-H-E H-E-A-T", and that's exactly what happens, as BG gets pummelled for the next few minutes from pillar to post by Booker's athletic style. This match demonstrates a much different style than the US Tag titles match did; whereas that one was all about the face-in-peril, this match relied on all four men to just go out there and show how badly they wanted the victory. Colonel Parker doesn't stick his nose into the match often, mainly just to fan his men with his handkerchief while they're on the outside. Brad and Booker tumble outside the ring, and when BG takes a cheap shot on him, Stevie Ray comes over and joins in for a nice brawl right out in front of the guardrail! BG makes a wrong step and gets picked up by Stevie - and its a Big Apple Blast on the arena floor! However, Colonel Parker certainly makes a good stand-in, often getting involved to keep Badd out of sorts. The match moves along with Badd doing his comeback spots, just for either DDP or Parker to thwart him each time, as the crowd get more and more invested as they go. Say what you will about Johnny B. Badd, but he is definitely someone who can keep a crowd interested in a match. They get even more interested when from the back comes the Diamond Doll! She walks down and stands in a neutral corner, simply watching the match unfold. When DDP does go over to talk to her, she just yells at him to pay attention, and he gets rolled up by taking his eye off the ball! He kicks out and the match continues, but it isn't long until he goes to her again. This time she produces her "10" card... and she smacks him in the face with it before jumping off the apron and leaving! Badd comes over and clobbers Dallas with a Diss that Don't Miss, and then goes up to the top rope. He looks around, the crowd screaming for him, and he hits a shooting star press! He stalls to start, trying to irritate his veteran opponent, as Jesse Ventura even dubs this match "just like Duggan, a no-brainer". "Hacksaw" gets the crowd into it with some chanting, as the two circle around the ring. They go to lock up, but Austin slips out of the ring again, jawing with the crowd more. Colonel Parker is right there, telling him to "do this for the Stable". One would think that both the Armstrongs and DDP are going to get a tongue-lashing after this one is over, especially depending on if the US title stays in the Stud Stable or not. Steve gets into the second ring, challenging Duggan to come get him. When Duggan does, they circle around... and then Austin gets into the first ring, before calling Duggan "stupid"! Austin finally locks up with Duggan, and the patriot takes over! He shoves Austin down and lays punches on him with his big fists, and goes for a pin that gets a two count! Austin tries to slide away again, but Duggan catches him by his boot and drags him back into the center of the ring! Jim Duggan is in command as Austin is on oversell duty, and when he does manage to slip out, Duggan follows and shoves him into the ringpost! Austin is not having a good night!</p><p> </p><p> His fortunes change when an opportunity presents itself; Duggan follows Austin back into the ring, but takes a knee to the face from the long reigning champion. Ventura puts him over for that exact fact, saying that Austin is the longest reigning titleholder in WCW right now, having held the US strap since last December. Stunning Steve takes over now, employing a lot of leglocks and punishment on what Tony calls "the treetrunk-like knees of Duggan", saying that even with all this work on the legs, will Stunning Steve be able to lock That's a Wrap on Hacksaw's thick legs? Austin does some good work on them, but drops his head a bit too early and pays for it with an elbow to the back of his head! Duggan goes back in charge, literally by charging forward with his three point stance, but Austin is wary. He ducks the clothesline, and he sneaks behind Duggan to roll him up - he has the tights! And Nick Patrick doesn't see it, counting the three!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Winner and STILL WCW United States Heavyweight Champion: Stunning Steve Austin, at 15:51</em></p><p><em> Rating: B-</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> After Nick Patrick's hand has counted the three, Austin is out of the ring like a shot. The match starts with only three men out at ringside for the KoW (well it is five technically, with Jimmy Hart and Dusty Rhodes) whereas all five men stand on the side of WCW. The Road Warriors drive their bikes down to the ring and park in a neutral area, keeping an eye on the match proceedings. Arn Anderson is the first man into the double sided cage, which Tony notes is almost like Arn's favorite position to be in for WarGames. He's joined by Meng, as commentary outwardly question who the other two men are for the Kings of Wrestling. Referee Randy Anderson rings the bell from the outside, and WarGames begins!</p><p> </p><p> Arn and Meng go at one another slowly, neither man wanting to make a big mistake this early into the match. Anderson locks on a headlock, but Meng shoves him off, and "Double A" just barely avoids running into the cage already. Meng comes in with a few chops, but Arn fires chops back! The two men stand their ground for the opening five minute period, as Dustin and Piper meet on the outside for the coin flip. Arn takes Meng down by using momentum against him, and he smacks him with a big left hand to get the advantage right before the flip... goes to the KoW! "Gamesmaster" Kevin Sullivan rushes into the ring, and he attacks Arn from behind. Kevin taunts Cactus and Funk from in the cage, and with Meng's help, the KoW send Arn flying facefirst into the steel cage! Meanwhile, Dusty is creating drama on the outside, as he has crossed over to the other side of the ring and is having words with son Dustin. He's telling him to back out now, before getting in there and getting hurt! Dustin is telling him to "go back to your new family!" and before things get too heated, the Road Warriors step in! They separate the two, keeping the peace just like they said they would. Dustin slaps hands with a fan who's sign reads "Dustin Rhodes Walking Tall".</p><p> </p><p> Cactus Jack flies into the ring next, and he and Sullivan go toe-to-toe, each throwing big punches on one another. Their war of attrition only ends when Meng comes over and hits Jack with a big thrust kick to put him on the mat, but Anderson is right there to catch Meng with a spinebuster when he gets back into the other ring! Cactus is sent into the steel cage, and he gushes blood from his forehead as Sullivan rakes his face across the mesh! Arn is bleeding as well, and Roddy Piper is next man into the ring, making it three-on-two... but again, commentary wonder about who the KoW are going to have come out of the back to fill the last two spots? Piper helps Kevin with Cactus, who had begun fighting back with a vengeance after the spilled blood. Roddy and Kevin are literally teeing off on Jack with punches in one ring, as Meng has Anderson locked in the debilitating Tongan Deathgrip in the other! Even worse, they tie Jack's arms in the ropes and then it's a three-on-one in ring one on Anderson! Piper and Sullivan stomp on him, as Meng drops headbutts down onto him.</p><p> </p><p> But in comes the Dragon! He roars into battle, leaping over the ropes between both rings to attack all three KoW members with a huge bodypress as the crowd go crazy! Steamboat takes on all three men with hard knife-edge chops, before sending Piper into the steel cage! He knocks Sullivan down with a martial arts kick and then armdrags Meng across the ring! Ricky is in charge of the match, and then Cactus Jack comes back into it with a big running knee to the bleeding Piper! Arn Anderson had gone over and untied him from the ropes, and it's all even! Jack squares off with Sullivan again, and the two are in the middle of a knock-down brawl. They roll all around ring two, while Arn chokes Piper in ring 1, and Meng and Steamboat are having a battle of chops! The two minutes are up, and.....</p><p> </p><p> Nobody enters the ring.</p><p> </p><p> Tony Schiavone screams they have nobody! WCW have this match won, because the Road Warriors took out the Nasty Boys last night! It was supposed to be the Nasty Boys! Steamboat celebrates in the ring, as this means they're safe for the rest of the match! "The Dragon" goes after Meng with a flying clothesline from the second turnbuckle, before grabbing the top of the cage and using it to hit Piper with a dropkick! Over in the other ring, Cactus Jack soars off the middle rope and drops an elbow on Sullivan! Dustin audibly says "Dad, you and the KoW go to Hell!" as he enters the match with a bang, slamming Piper down with a bulldog! It's now four-on-three for WCW, an unprecedented happening in WarGames! Jesse wonders how that will look in the rulebook, but Tony doesn't care. "The Natural" is holding Sullivan by the arms for Cactus to pepper him with punches, as Arn and Piper are fighting one another, and Meng has taken Steamboat down briefly after a vicious headbutt. The timer goes off again, but nothing.</p><p> </p><p> Nothing.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>EXCEPT TERRY FUNK GETS HIS HEAD TAKEN OFF BY A CLOTHESLINE!!!</strong></p><p> </p><p> To the shock and surprise of all, the Road Warriors enter the ring - and they make a beeline for Dustin Rhodes, hitting him with a double shoulderblock!! The Kings of Wrestling had everyone fooled; and now Team WCW are paying the price.</p><p> </p><p> With it now five-on-four as it normally is, the KoW take the lead, but they take the lead by an astounding margin with the completely fresh Road Warriors taking down everyone on the WCW side. Tony sounds like he's going to be sick in Jesse's lap, as Team WCW get decimated by the assault; the only man still struggling to his feet after the initial attack is Cactus, but that's quickly put to rest when the other three men jump him. Dustin is near the cage, using the ring ropes to hold himself even just off the ground, and his father is right there screaming at him "Ya' wanted ta' be a man! Ya' wanted to stand on ya'own two feet! Well stand on 'em then! Cah'mon Dustin, stand on 'em now!" The buzzer goes off, but Terry Funk is just slowly recovering on the floor. The Road Warriors take Ricky Steamboat and hurl him into the cage wall so hard that it bends, as Roddy Piper slaps a sleeperhold on Anderson while Meng kicks him in the ribs. "The Funker" tries to slide into the ring, but Sullivan and the Road Warriors stomp him until he falls back to the floor! Repeatedly, they keep him down, but he comes up the third time with his trusty branding iron! He bashes Sullivan on the head with it and gets into the ring, as Randy Anderson gets in and the bell sounds as Schiavone makes the announcement to fans at home - The Match Beyond has begun!</p><p> </p><p> The five-on-five match doesn't resemble a match at all, it's more like a battle royal; all ten men are practically falling over one another in both rings to get at their rivals. Kevin Sullivan looks at the blood on the mat, his own blood after Funk's iron struck him, and he goes after Terry with revenge on his mind. Steamboat and Piper are trading blows, as each man tries to slam the other into the cage. Dustin and Jack are doing what they can to stand up to the Road Warriors, while Meng tries to put the Tongan back on Arn, but it's to no avail as "The Enforcer" blocks it, stomps on Meng's toes, and then smashes him down with a DDT! But Meng comes right back up, and he thrust kicks Arn against the ropes. He goes for the Tongan again, but Funk makes the save, hitting Meng with hard right hands that serve only to make him madder! On the other side of the ring, on the outside, Dusty Rhodes pulls on the cage door just enough to slide a spiked glove in to Hawk! Hawk puts it on, and he looks at Dusty. Dusty nods, then turns away - and Hawk punches Dustin right in the face with it! Rhodes goes down, blood pouring from his face as he holds his eyes! He tries to stand, but all he does is fall back down. Another try, and he drops to the mat, his legs failing him completely as his blood stains the mat. Steamboat stops his fight with Animal, and he goes over to check on him, as does Arn.</p><p> </p><p> Mercifully, Randy Anderson calls for the bell.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Winners: Team KoW, by knockout at 26:42</em></p><p><em> Rating: B+</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> The cage starts being lifted again, and a medical team rush out to the ring to help the combantants. Jesse makes a statement surveying the scene; even Cactus Jack is having trouble standing, Roddy Piper and Arn Anderson have lost a lot of blood and look somewhat woozy, Kevin Sullivan is down, Steamboat is up but just barely, and Meng is leaning against the ropes, yelling at a fan holding a sign that says "Meng! What is he good for?" but he can't do much more effort than just scream. Terry Funk looks to be convolsing with blood running down his face ("not like that takes much" quips Jesse), and he doesn't even want to talk about Dustin's condition. As they roll a stretcher down for Rhodes, the other members of Team WCW are assisted to the back, as is Sullivan. They get Dustin loaded on the stretcher.</p><p> </p><p> But the Road Warriors attack it! They beat on Dustin's prone body, pushing the stretcher over! Meng and Piper come and join in with a few stomps, as Dusty has a microphone. He tells his son that this is what he warned him about! This is what he said would happen - someone would get hurt if he crossed the KoW! He says how this should be a lesson to all of WCW, that if you cross the Kings, you're gonna get hurt bad! The attack continues, as Piper and Meng hold off officials as the Road Warriors do a number on "The Natural".</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>BUT HERE - COMES - STING!!</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/Sting.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> The Stinger rushes out from the back, and after punching Piper in the jaw, he jumps right into the Road Warriors! Sting is a house of fire, and he sends back the challenge of all four men seemingly all on his own! With his help, officials are able to get Dustin out of there and to the back for medical attention, and Sting gets in the ring. He looks at "The American Outlaw" in the ring with contempt, and he tells him to go check on his son! Rhodes backs down, climbing out of the ring and walking to the back... Sting's victory here is a small win in the battle, but as for WarGames, the Road Warriors and Dusty Rhodes raising their hands tell the tale - they won this one.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Rating: B-</em></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/Sting.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/vs.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/RicFlair.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/vs.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/Vader.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWs/SonnyOnoo.jpg</span><p> <strong>Triangle Match</strong></p><p><strong> Winner is #1 Contender; Loser cannot wrestle for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship for 365 Days</strong></p><p><strong> Sting vs. "Nature Boy" Ric Flair vs. "The Monster" Vader w/Sonny Onoo</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> The crowd is buzzing with anticipation as the three men circle around the ring, trying to get used to this unfamiliar habitat. The first move comes from two of them, as Flair and Sting rush Vader, hitting him with stereo chops (Flair) and punches (Sting) to drive him back to the ropes. They whip him to the other side and go for a team clothesline, but "The Monster" isn't easily swayed this early in the match, and he drops both of them with a double clothesline of his own! Vader grunts to the crowd, “Who’s the man?!” as Sonny Onoo snaps pictures of his man on his disposable camera. Flair is the first to taste Vader’s wrath, as he gets to his feet first; Vader shoves him into the turnbuckles and starts hammering him with punches to the ribs and kidneys. Sting comes back and jumps up on Vader’s back, putting on a sleeperhold. But even with Flair chopping him, Vader is able to push Flair away so hard he flies out of the ring, then he drops down onto his back, crushing Sting beneath his frame! He turns over and makes a pin, but Flair comes in and breaks it up at two – before going for his own pin on Sting! The Stinger kicks out barely, and the wrestlers and audience are starting to get clued in on the psychology of this unusual match, which Jesse quips that people haven’t seen much of outside of Philadelphia.</p><p> </p><p> When Vader comes back into the fray, Sting and Flair recombine their efforts, and between the two of them they’re able to send him out of the ring. But there is no rest for the weary in this one, as they immediately turn on one another! They lock up, and Flair proves himself to still be the “Dirtiest Player in the Game” even as a fan favorite by grabbing Sting by his (slightly longer than the usual buzzcut) hair in order to pull him into a headlock. Sting sends Flair into the ropes, but Flair reverses, and when Sting comes back toward him, Flair back body drops him clear over into the second ring! Vader comes back into the fight and goes after Flair. “Slick Ric” is able to stick and move though, and he keeps Vader on his toes with a balanced attack of chops and kicks to the knees. The two are throwing shots at one another… when from out of nowhere comes Sting with a leaping cross body onto both of them! He stays on top to go for a simultaneous pin, but both men kick out!</p><p> </p><p> As the match goes on, each man has his moment of being in charge, and every combination gets their moment in the spotlight. Sting is in the middle of a run, as he has both Vader and Flair in the turnbuckles, and he hits both with Stinger Splashes! He looks ready to lock Vader in the Scorpion Deathlock! He circles around, making sure of where Flair is – “The Nature Boy” dropped face first on the mat after the Splash! Tony says that he’s gonna love watching Sting put Hollywood Hogan in this hold to win the WCW World title back!</p><p> </p><p> But there’s an interruption coming from the top of the ramp.</p><p> </p><p> Roddy Piper comes out with a microphone (and a bandage over his cuts from WarGames) and he says that he’s surprised at how dumb Sting really has been. He says that in just a few short months, Sting seems to have forgotten about one thing: who it really was who attacked him. Piper says that he’s gonna help solve this mystery right now – it was him! Piper laughs, saying that it was an amazing moment, getting to see WCW’s biggest star dropped flat on his face like that! Sting is yelling at Piper from the ring, telling him that he’ll get him in the ring soon! WAIT – A ROLLUP FROM BEHIND! NICK PATRICK COUNTS THREE! RIC FLAIR HAS WON THIS MATCH!!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Winner: Ric Flair, in 17:26</em></p><p><em> Rating: B</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Sting is in shock after the match, as Roddy Piper is laughing at him again from the outside! Sting takes off out of the ring, chasing him down, as Vader throws up his arms and walks away. Ric Flair is in the ring, and he starts to celebrate his victory, because he is now the next man in line to get a World Heavyweight championship match whenever he chooses to take it!</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/kow.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> But out of the crowd, here's the champion himself! Hollywood Hogan enters the ring, and he gets in an intense staredown with "The Nature Boy". Suddenly from behind him hits Bubba Rogers and Paul Orndorff! The beatdown commences, as Flair is exhausted after his match already. Hogan gets out the can of spraypaint, and Tony groans that it looks like this will be the end of yet another pay-per-view, and he starts to apologize to fans.</p><p> </p><p> BUT OUT OF THE BACK - IT'S STING!</p><p> </p><p> Sting rushes the ring, apparently having not left completely as it seemed! He punches Rogers and Orndorff away, as Hollywood himself scampers out of the ring and is headed up the ramp, seemingly having jumped out of there by the time Sting had hit the ring! "The Stinger" helps Ric Flair to his feet, and the two shake hands, and both of them look out of the ring at Hogan! </p><p> </p><p> WrestleWar goes off the air with something not seen in Hollywood Hogan's eyes in a long time: Fear.</p><p> Rating: B-</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWlogo.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p>

I just figured I'd give this a quick little nudge in case there was anyone else who wanted to get in picks (I see most of my regular followers have gotten it in already) but the show will be definitely posted either tonight or tomorrow morning! 13. This was the only reason I mention it. There does seem to be almost lopsided star power on team WCW. BUT just because the Nasty Boys were supposed to be there, with them not being the confirmed picks, it is technically mystery partners.
  14. Okay, so just a quick thought. Would it change anyone's predictions for WarGames or the best match question, to say that the reason in the program there is a question mark beside the Nasty Boys is because they are not confirmed after the attack by the Road Warriors?

Whereas last time, he was talking about the KoW and avoiding the topic, this time around he outright calls out his son Dustin to the ring! "The Natural" heeds the call, and he asks his father if he's trying to set him up or something. Dusty shakes his head, saying there are no games, no tricks, this is just a father and son right here in the ring on national television. Dusty says that he knows Dustin agreed to step into WarGames, and he knows why he did it; because Dusty gained a lot of his fame and notoriety from doing it, and Dustin is following in his footsteps. Dusty tells his son that he needs to stop! He says that he still has a chance to turn this around, and join him in the KoW; all he has to do is back out of WarGames, let WCW fall to the KoW. He gets major heat by saying that WCW has always shown itself to be second best compared to guys like Hogan and Piper! So when they lose, he doesn't want to see his son get dragged down by it just because he's being proud. He says that last time, he was out of order by sticking his hand out and telling Dustin to shake it and join him, because he's a thinking man and he always liked that about him. So Dusty says it like this: if the time comes, and Dustin stays in the back during WarGames, lets WCW high and dry, then he'll consider him a member of the KoW. But if not... Dusty says that if he isn't going to be a part of his wrestling family, then maybe he isn't even fit to be part of his personal family! </p><p> </p><p> Dustin gets the microphone, and he says that he hates to see his father talk like that; because if he can't accept that they've chosen opposing sides, if it has to be that way... then we'll just have to see the fallout happen, because WCW are going to be Rhodes-led, as they always have been, into WarGames! Dustin drops out of the ring, apologizing to his father, as Dusty points a finger at him and says that he has until tomorrow to make up his mind!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Rating: B+</em></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/MichaelHayes.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/TerryGordy.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/JimmyGarvin.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWs/GeneOkerlund.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> Mean Gene Okerlund is backstage with some very special guests: the Fabulous Freebirds! It's a great thing for Cactus as well, as he's been getting good attention from his feud with Kevin Sullivan. This continues the feud in a roundabout way, as Jack is facing off with a fellow KoW member. The two put on a solid match, as Cactus brought a good brawl out of the Butcher. Commentary talk about how Cactus and Terry Funk have signed on for WarGames for WCW, and they say how they've talked how they're the toughest men in WCW and will never surrender. Kevin Sullivan helped the match too, coming down to the ring and serving as a distraction on Cactus. He gets caught in the sleeperhold, and whereas that would have been the absolute E-N-D if this were the 80s, Jack's toughness shines through and he doesn't go out from it immediately. Butcher drops it when he realizes one of the cameramen around the ring... doesn't have an actual camera. Brian Pillman is outside the ring doing a Hollywood Blonds style camera reel, and Butcher goes over to confront him, catching him before he could interfere in the match, but when Butcher is paying attention there Jack recovers and pins him after a double arm DDT! Tony notes how Armstrong was the last WCW Light Heavyweight champion, which is something he's been bragging around backstage as a means of explaining why he deserves more respect. "B-Rad" really needs more traction, but he doesn't get much of it here. As much as he is in control of this match, he's never really able to get Duggan completely down and out. Tonight, the 'Nature Boy' and the 'Stinger' are on the same side, and they get a chance to take down two thorns in their sides. Sting says that the stakes are high, but it's not like it's the first time he and "Slick Ric" have been best friends one day and hated enemies the next! He goes on to say that tonight, they have the chance to face off with Vader and do what they can to take him out - and then, it'll be just like old times, Sting against Flair to determine who gets the title. Sags and Knobs and even Jimmy Hart complain the entire match any time a camera is near them at how unfair this is to them, but they at least had time in between, right? That's what must be going on, because they do well in the match, remembering how they beat Booker and Stevie last time. But the flip side is also true; Harlem Heat have been gunning for their rematch ever since they lost the titles back after a two-week reign, and so even without knowing they'd be in this position tonight, they've come prepared with all the drive in the world. The result is a very good brawl, as two teams who want to prove themselves the better once and for all go at it with reckless abandon and much, much brawling. Someone in the crowd helpfully points out "Hey Nasty Boys! I can smell you from up here!" Hart tries to get involved whenever he can to tip the balance, but in the end it turns back on him when he slides the megaphone into the ring just for Stevie Ray to kick it right back into his chest! With a level playing field, a pier-six brawl erupts with all four men in the ring as referee Randy Anderson tries to gain control. Knobbs and Sags rush at Booker and Stevie respectively as they're on opposing sides of the ring, but while Booker ducks and backdrops Knobbs out of the ring, Stevie ducks and lifts Sags up onto his shoulder - and Booker rushes in for the Big Apple Blast! Be that as it may, the match is still very good, and Badd seems to have some extra spring in his step for it. Lord Regal has seen some drop in momentum ever since dropping the TV title, but this match proves that while he has lost some television time, he hasn't lost his edge, as he takes it to Johnny with his technical assault as the Baron applauds on the outside. Teddy Long keeps an eye on him so that he doesn't get involved as Badd runs through his standard comeback spots, but Teddy only has two eyes that train on the Baron; he doesn't have any to spare when Diamond Dallas Page comes down to the ring while Johnny is on the apron. Page doesn't attack him, but he asks him where "she" is! Badd tries to brush him off, but DDP is persistant in asking, and by the time Badd gets back into the ring, he gets smashed by a punch from Regal and locked into the Regal Stretch! Sting and Vader brawl all over the ring with one another, still hot after the months of bad blood they've just been through, let alone the years of bad blood they've always had. Vader shows that he's still got it out for Flair as well, pummelling "The Nature Boy" anytime he has him in the ring as well. Roddy Piper is the wildcard, and he gets his digs in plenty while Flair is being taken apart in the - for lack of better term - "KoW" corner. Commentary talk about that, saying that just because Vader was paid off by the Kings, does that mean he's one of them? They also note Jimmy Hart holding his chest from getting his megaphone kicked into it. Sting keeps the crowd invested from the outside, getting chants of "We Want Flair" ringing all through the arena. Flair catches a break by hitting Vader with a swift low blow, and he tags in the Stinger! Sting comes in a house of fire, punching and chopping Vader back into the corner. 17. I "acquired" a bunch of Lupin....23gb worth >_> Lupin the Third was a manga at first (as with most things) but has been an anime since the 70s, had four TV series (including one that just wrapped up its first season a few months ago which is a prequel series), and has had movies and OVAs for practically every year since then. I found out about it last year, and have watched everything but four movies and the Woman Named Fujiko Mine series since then. Stuff has been getting released on DVD more though, so there may be some floating around netflix. Oh yes; the grin will be very sly and slick

Austin kicks out of a few quick pin attempts, and he heads out of the ring to get his bearings. When Stunning Steve gets the upper hand, it's a methodical assault on the knees of Tommy, weakening him beyond repair. Tommy is fighting for what could be his last title shot though, and he keeps coming back as best as he can, but he's so weakened by Austin's attack that his trademark Thesz Press fails him. As soon as the champion sees that, he quickly swoops in for the kill, locking in That's a Wrap dead in the center of the ring. Rich fights, but there's nowhere to go, and he's forced to submit, as Colonel Parker beams from the outside. Still though, Rich showed that he can still go in the ring, so while this was an initial failure, there's no telling what the future could hold for "Wildfire"!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Winner and STILL WCW United States Heavyweight Champion: Stunning Steve Austin</em></p><p><em> Rating: C+</em></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/HulkHogan2.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> After we see a sign in the crowd reading "WCW is going to WAR!" which sparks discussion among commentary, a graphic shows when we come back from a commercial saying how later we'll see an announcement from WCW World champion Hollywood Hogan! The Japanese contingent have kinda been lost in the shuffle, mainly due to Hayabusa's very poor physical condition from his trips back and forth to FMW, and it seems to be wearing on his partner. But whereas DDP, according to Bobby Heenan, is a wrestler who studies his opponents, the new Brian Pillman is a man without any discernable patterns in the ring. As soon as Page thinks he has something figured out, Brian changes the game completely and takes advantage of the confusion. Something else brought up by Jesse Ventura is where is the Diamond Doll? As she is not out at ringside for this match. There are moments when that seems to have Dallas thrown off, as at one point he turns around to tell her to hold up the "10" card, but she isn't around. DDP nearly has it won after hitting his pancake piledriver, but Pillman puts his foot on the bottom rope. He sets up for the Diamond Cutter, but Brian shoves out of it and rushes out of the ring. He gets on the apron and starts undoing a turnbuckle pad, making Mickey Jay come over and admonish him. The champion slips into the ring, and he gets up and immediately punches Page - and he drops! The Regulators are not only big and bad but are very experienced as a tag team, and they make use of their advantages throughout this match. But no matter how far ahead they get, the Bodies keep from dropping the ball, typically with either their smaller size giving them a speed advantage, or by outright cheating their way back into it. The big Texans nearly have this one all wrapped up - the Bodies are obviously missing some spark that they must have left behind in Louisville - but it all turns back around for them when Style & Substance, Paul Roma and Alex Porteau, come marching to the ring! Tony says that if you've caught the past week's WCW Main Event, these two teams had words for one another. They keep both Shanghai and referee Nick Patrick's attention on them, and the Bodies waffle Slazenger with one of the stolen US Tag title belts! Regal doesn't seem to care all that much, and he stops him by saying that Keirn better watch himself, because other people may not have the dignity to break the news to him. Regal and Tomas say that they overheard Nick Bockwinkel granting a match for Keirn at WrestleWar against "Beautiful" Bobby himself! The blue bloods walk off, leaving a stunned Keirn stuttering to himself, until Eaton appears and clotheslines him down! Orndorff is very game though, always ready to prove himself as only "Mr. Wonderful" can, and for a good portion of the match he's able to ground his energetic foe and keep him there. The one time that Orndorff lets off of him however it all falls to pieces, as he takes time to work in his Boogie Woogie Elbow Drop and Sting moves out of the way! The Man Called Sting takes over then, and it's all Orndorff can do to keep upright. In a foggy mind, he grabs the turnbuckle to stay on his feet, and from there it is Stinger Splash time! Sting sets him up and locks in the Scorpion Deathlock! The Butcher only seems able to get an advantage when Jimmy Hart gift wraps him one from the outside, at one point only barely getting part of a sleeperhold hooked until Flair kicks him in the knee and goes back to work on the limb. Flair seemingly wants to break Butcher down, sending messages to everyone that he is still The Man in this one. There is no doubt about it here, as this is a clinic put on by Flair. The Butcher may as well have been The Broomstick in this one, because Flair drags him along for the ride and works him down until it's time for the figure four leglock. It's all academic from there.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Winner: Ric Flair</em></p><p><em> Rating: B</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/Vader.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> From out of the back comes "The Monster" though! Vader walks down to the ring with Sonny Onoo in tow, and he gets in the ring and stares Flair down! Flair wasn't backing down though, he was going over to get a microphone. Flair's mouth starts to run, talking about how he's the man who has to win at WrestleWar, because he's the one who's going to bring order back to WCW by putting an end to the KoW. Unlike Vader, who will probably sell his title shot back to them - Flair then goes too far, saying that Vader has already laid down for the Kings, and he can't figure out if it was like a dog or like a hired street walker! Vader's eyes go wide and he rushes forward, clotheslining Flair to the mat and stomping him! Flair gets up, but Vader shoves him into the turnbuckles and strikes with concussive punches to the face! 22. <p>Hey everyone, I just wanted to take a quick moment to chat, and say that y'know, as a long-time TEW player, diary writer, and diary reader, it really is so great to feel like I'm putting on such great shows here. I used to run diaries from EWR and TEW over on the gamefaqs WWEGSB board (long before it got to be the cesspool that nobody goes to anymore) and I even tried one or two times on the EWB to no success. But here on the GDS board, where I never thought about doing much, I feel like I've found a great readership and a great outlet, and even as I'm learning the nuances of TEW13. In the timeframe that I run this diary for, I hope to have learned all that I can about 13, and who knows? Maybe if I stop this diary and start another one, it'll be even better than this has been.</p><p> </p><p> But, that's a long time away, as I have no intention of cutting this short by any means.</p><p> </p><p> I am grateful for every post, every vote, every comment left about shows that I get, and as much as what I <em>could</em> still do this without anyone else... it wouldn't be nearly as fun. I saw Eisen-verse saying that lately the dynasty board has been having a resurgence of great games going on, and I echo his thoughts, as there are great games and great writing going on all over the place. Everyone from those you would expect to be great TFC, Anderz, and angel, to newer blood like Smasher (best of luck keeping this new game going!) and tg01. It means a lot to have won this past DOTM poll, and hopefully everyone will stick around to see this project win a few more.</p><p> </p><p> Pretty impressive stuff, given all I started with was knowing Hogan was never accepted by WCW fans and thinking of a fun storyline to run alongside it.</p><p> </p><p> Okay, I'll quit handjobbing; I hope to have the next Saturday Night posted before the weekend, so after I finish the Lupin the Third movie I'm watching, it's back to work!</p>

The week 1 show from November featured Men on a Mission in a losing effot to Diesel and HBK (how many people CAN Shawn carry at one time?) and Yokozuna over Undertaker. We almost have this month won!</p><p> Good to see you weigh in ad, and yes I have a good nickname in mind for Dusty! I too actually feel bad for Steamboat; I put him in almost as a lame-duck challenger from the beginning, but I really felt it would fit for him to challenge for the title right off, even though much bigger plans are already in motion. Perhaps he'll be able to get his comeuppance down the road, though!</p><p> wekka: Thanks, and yeah I like seeing that I'm able to throw in some unpredictability now and again. I felt like going with Funk as the partner (a predictable choice) would especially help hide later on when Dusty made his big turn and allow for that to be an even bigger surprise.</p><p> TeflonBilly: I love me some BG, little bit of power metal to rawk now and then is great. Most of my storylines I've actually thought of with them playing in the background! I strongly recommend the At the Edge of Time album; it's the one that had War of the Thrones on it, as well as probably their biggest "hit" song, Sacred Worlds.</p><p> </p><p> I'm hoping to have Saturday Night written and posted by Tuesday or Wednesday, so get the picks in soon! <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
