<p>Okay, so that's done. Whew. Now, on to the prediction contest.</p><p> </p><p> The way I calculated around the "extra" match: everyone was basically allowed one wrong answer. Nobody guessed that it'd be the US Tag titles, and trust me, don't feel bad because I probably wouldn't have guessed that either. So instead of 10 points, everyone is only counted for 9, with the RNR/Bodies match not being taken into account. But since some people did put down for all 10, I can't just give special treatments out, which is why it's just one wrong answer allowed. For those who are being allowed their one wrong answer, I put a plus next to their score. This way people who didn't put an answer down for all 10 matches aren't being penalized for it, but at the same time it'll help those who did. Does that make sense? I hope so because damned if I can figure out how to explain better... anyways. The number in parenthesis at the end are how many of the questions you got right. Badd, decked out in Halloween-themed orange and black trunks, trying to finally get his hands on some gold in WCW. Teddy is in on the fun of the season, sporting a hockey mask. Stunning Steve has other ideas, however, as he points out the back of his custom black trunks which read "Badder Man" on them. Referee Mickey Jay rings the bell, as Tony and Jesse bicker about if Jay will have to keep his eye on the managers. Tony says that Parker gets involved so often he might as well be a member of the match, but Jesse says he's wrong, that of anyone out there, he should be keeping a close eye on Teddy Long. When Tony asks why, Ventura says that it's because Long wore a mask out here, and you can't trust masked people. It's clear from the get-go however that you can't trust Austin, as he uses a jab to the eye to get the lead in the match and bring Badd down with a headlock. Austin uses a number of holds on his foe, headlocks and armbars mainly, doing all he can to wear Johnny down and keep he and the crowd grounded. Austin cockily yells at Badd at every chance he can get, trying to frustrate him, which is pointed out by Ventura, who says Badd started letting Long manage him in order to try and have a buffer to keep from getting so frustrated in matches. Teddy keeps pounding on the mat, keeping Johnny's head in the game by yelling advice to him. Austin sends Badd into the ropes, trying to hook him in a sleeper, but Badd blocks it, hitting a jawbreaker that staggers Steve, and Badd charges him, peppering his midsection with punches, but Austin ducks out of the ring when he winds up for the big one! Steve stands outside the ring looking at Long, pointing to his head to say how smart he was, but Badd comes over the top to hit the Badd Mood somersault plancha!</p><p> </p><p> The crowd are rocking with this one now, as Badd fires Austin back into the ring, which Tony notes as brilliant because you can only win a title on the inside of the ring. Johnny doesn't just enter the ring, he flies in to hit a bodypress! After a kickout at two, it's all Johnny, as he uses his high impact offense to keep Steve on the defensive. Austin has no way to fight back as Badd hits from all sides. Johnny takes Austin up, and he tries to set him up for a super frankensteiner, but Steve isn't that bad off; he shoves Badd off, and he tweaks his knee slightly. Johnny is hobbled a little, but he - pun intended - completely stuns Austin with a dropkick when he lept off the ropes at him! Badd is keeping the crowd behind him with every move, and he looks ready to set up for the big left hook! Parker is screaming to Austin, telling him to do something! He starts fanning him with his handkerchief, and Austin gets to his feet slowly. Badd dances around, and he swings - but Austin ducks, and when Badd spins back around, he grabs him around the neck and drills him with a version of his own Stablemate's Diamond Cutter! Jesse crows at how amazing that was, saying "He certainly just stunned Badd!" as Austin pounces, hooking on That's a Wrap! U-S-A!" ring out loudly as "Hacksaw" makes his way around the ring. This could be enough to get under the skin of most competitors, but The Butcher is a seasoned veteran in his own right. They lock up, with Butcher getting the advantage with an arm ringer. But Duggan raises his other arm, giving a big thumbs up and a "Hooooooo!" that follows around the arena! Duggan pushes Butcher off of him, before hitting a charging shoulderblock. He runs the ropes and jumps over a lying Butcher, but he was merely lying in wait, as he pops up and slaps Duggan on the rebound! Jim points right in Butcher's face and yells "HOOOOOOOO!!!" before clubbing him with right hands, getting admonished by referee Nick Patrick, and he shoots Butcher off to the ropes before hitting a back body drop! It's not a technical classic by any means, but Hacksaw knows how to work a crowd to a frenzy, and he rolls with that momentum right into clotheslining Butcher over the top and out of the ring! Jimmy Hart rushes over to try and talk strategy with Butcher, but Duggan reaches out through the middle ropes and smashes them both with a double noggin knocker!</p><p> </p><p> The match comes back inside the ring, and Butcher takes an advantage again when Duggan goes for another body drop. Butcher elbows him in the back of the neck, and he starts his attack with a front facelock. Duggan picks Butcher up and starts shoving him toward the turnbuckle, and Butcher knees him in the chest to take him down to the mat again. Butcher gets up and sends Duggan to the turnbuckle and rushes in with a clothesline, as Jesse points out that Butcher really likes using either the sleeper or the high knee, but he doesn't know how effective either will be on the hard head of Duggan. "Hacksaw" reverses a whip to the ropes, and three punches await Butcher when he returns! Duggan keeps on the attack now, looking ready to end this as he strikes with the Old Glory Kneedrop! Jimmy Hart starts motioning to the back, as Duggan waits for Butcher to stand up so he can hit the running tackle. Butcher grabs Nick Patrick as Duggan turns around into the Tongan Deathgrip from Meng! Meng holds onto the hold for a few moments, before shoving Duggan away, right into the high knee! Jesse talks about how with how Brian is acting lately, an overlooked fact is how strange it is to see Lord Regal without any championship gold. Tony brushes him off, saying that he's sure more people are glad to see him without it than are surprised he doesn't have it. Regal takes the early advantage with his European chain wrestling. Brian doesn't have much of a counter for that except for his speed and agility, which he uses a few times to escape an arm wringer and a cravat. Referee Brady Boone keeps an eye over at Tomas when the match gets close to that corner, but it quickly moves all about the ring when Pillman gets in charge. Brian's speed is one of his greatest strengths, and he makes use of it liberally by flying about the ring like a pinball, assaulting Regal from all sides until after a flying headscissors, his Lordship has no choice but to leave the ring - and then Brian unleashes a suicide dive! He gets back to his feet smiling crazily, letting his tongue hang out toward Tomas, who recoils in disgust.</p><p> </p><p> When the match is back in the ring, Pillman springboards up to the top, but Tomas comes around and trips him! Tony rolls his eyes, saying that this is how Regal kept that title for so long; now we've gone from blaming Sir William to blaming Leonard Tomas. Jesse corrects him by saying "That's BARON Leonard Tomas, Tony. This is a man who owns the land right next door to his Lordship." Regal is on the attack, stretching Brian out on the mat, but Pillman is always fighting back. Anytime he gets ahead, however, that's when Tomas makes his move, either distracting Boone or by slipping a quick hand into the ring. When Pillman finally gets fed up is when things get interesting, as Tomas is on the ring apron and Pillman actually shoves Brady Boone into him, sending Tomas crashing to the floor! Brady Boone is holding his head as well, and Brian goes out and gets his TV title belt! He almost whacks Regal in the head with it, but Boone gets up and catches him before the act. Pillman sets it down on the apron and, now smelling blood, he goes over and unties a turnbuckle pad. Brady goes to tie it back up, and that's when Regal gets hold of the title and swings for Brian - but he misses! The belt falls to the mat as Pillman quickly grabs Regal and jumps up, using a leaping version of the tornado DDT to drill Steven down not only onto his head but also onto the World TV title! Robert Parker vs. The Young Pistols</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> The match starts with the Pistols doing what they can to run the Brothers out of the ring, but whereas the fast approach normally works for them, the Armstrongs know their tricks and turn it against them by slowing the match down immediately. Tracy Smothers ends up caught in the ring after an errant double dropkick missed BG. BG works Smothers over with an armbar, as he yells at older brother Steve in the corner. He tells him that he just doesn't understand, he says nobody understands yet, but they will, before tagging in Brad. Brad starts off by promptly letting Smothers get to his feet, so they can have a good match. BG and Parker are both screaming at him, telling him to quit being so nice! But the match continues this way, as Brad plays fair when he's in the ring, then he turns a blind eye to BG's almost blatent cheating when he's in. Steve eventually gets tagged in, and he takes it right to BG, while Smothers is exhausted and Brad is busy getting yelled at by the Colonel. Behind everyone's back, BG trips up older brother Steve and puts his feet on the ropes in order to steal a three count! Cactus gets a microphone and says that Kevin is almost right. He doesn't have many friends, and he doesn't have any blood family. But he does have one person who came to him to watch his back tonight - "Uncle Terry!" Jack tries to tell Evad to tag his brother, but Kevin's voice in his ear is more potent, as Dave locks up with Jack. The match while Dave is in the ring is quickly a blur of clubbing punches and forearms, with Jack doing what he can to fight back against the onslaught. Evad finally does tag in Kevin, who strikes hard and fast on Cactus while he's down. Sullivan goes through his best motions, even locking in the stump puller - but he forgets that this is a tag match, and Funk runs into the ring and pops him in the mouth! Evad rushes in, and he gets the same, and it's left to Brady Boone to TRY and get these four bruisers under control!</p><p> </p><p> Kevin tags back out, and Dave enters the ring with Terry Funk; which doesn't turn out well for Evad, as Funk's superior experience and brawling and wrestling and mental capacity put him far in the lead, but Dave has learned one thing from his time as a junior member of the KoW, apparently: how to cheat, and after taking a few double teams from Funk and Jack, he snaps off a low blow kick on Cactus! Which leads to more clubbing forearms. But as soon as Jack gets back his testicular fortitude, he quickly begins fighting back, rights and lefts leading to a Cactus clothesline! He fires Evad back into the ring, and wastes no time in planting him with the double arm DDT! But Arn and Dustin are in there as well, and the crowd are molten for the huge match. Tony and Jesse question why this wasn't changed to a title match, which Jesse says that if the contract for the match was signed before they had the titles back, then they wouldn't have to change it. He says that it's unfortunate, because he'd love to see Anderson pick up another Tag title reign tonight, but it just isn't gonna happen here. Arn and Knobs start out, and this one doesn't even last beyond the first lockup before turning into a brawl. Knobs uses offense that is exactly what is in his style, a lot of ugly punches and kicks, with a bodyslam to take "Double A" down to the mat and hit an elbow for a quick surprise two count. What Knobs doesn't count on however is that while Anderson is a master of mat wrestling, he brawls well; and a quick Anderson left gives him a reminder! Sags comes in, as does Dustin, and "The Natural" shows off his acumen as well, being described by Jesse as "son of a Texas brawler".</p><p> </p><p> One thing that the Nasty Boys do well is brawl. But the other thing they know how to do is take direction, and after a consult with manager Hart, they begin cutting the ring in half on Rhodes. So much clubbing goes on, but it's done by both members as they quickly tag in and out. Finally someone has had enough, and just as Dustin finally makes a hot tag to Arn and things start becoming a huge pier-six brawl, Dusty Rhodes comes out to the ring! Jimmy Hart has the referee and he throws the megaphone in to Knobs, but Arn gets it! Anderson is ready to use it but on the other side of Sags is Dusty - when Jerry ducks, Dusty catches "The Enforcer" with an errant bionic elbow! Hart drops to the floor as Dusty slips out of the ring, cursing himself under his breath as Sags covers - but Dustin breaks it up!</p><p> </p><p> Tags are made, as Dustin comes in and Arn goes to the apron holding his forehead; and both Nastys are still in the ring to try and double team again. They look ready to set "The Natural" up for the Trip to Nastyville, but Dustin slips behind Knobs during the slam and sends him into the ropes, clotheslining him out and causing Sags to crotch himself on the top rope! Dustin goes up to the middle rope and grabs Jerry, leaping off and bringing him down with a bulldog! The two are nose to nose, until Baron Tomas shows up and separates them, telling them that we don't need this hostility, we need focus. He closes the interview saying that this Halloween, Vader is gonna be able to take off his mask, because Sting is gonna beat him until he's uglier! And then, Sting says, it's back to his original task, because he hasn't forgotten: finding out who attacked him and took him out of the game, back in July. The crowd are pumped as the bell rings, and it's a slugfest right out of the gate! They waste no time in heading out of the ring, and Vader quickly takes an advantage with some stiff strikes to Sting's face against the ring apron. Sting is shaken, and Vader jumps on the attack, sending him into the ring apron and smacking him around more. Sting ducks under a punch and gets behind Vader, swinging right fists with punches and chops to the face and chest of Vader! Sting smashes Vader's head into the turnbuckle post, ripping off his mask before punching him a few more times. Sting goes under the ring and produces a chair, and he slams Vader in the stomach before hitting him across the back with the chair! Jesse notes surprise, saying that he thought Vader likely would have killed Sting by now in the match, but Sting is using the street fight rules to his advantage.</p><p> </p><p> The match heads back into the ring, and Sting brings the chair along. He raises it for another shot, but it gets taken away from him, and one vicious slam later, the pain begins. Vader starts using both his body and the weapon in tandem, at one point even delivering a quick chokeslam to Sting onto the chair! Vader has command for quite awhile, but Sting still comes back every now and again; at one point when Sting is seated on the top rope, he shoves Vader away from an anticipated superplex and hits a huge splash! Vader gets the upper hand again after kicking out though. At one point, both men have chairs, and Vader disarms Sting before slamming it over his head viciously! Vader hooks a chair into the turnbuckles, and he tries to fire Sting into it, but Sting reverses - he follows up with a Stinger Splash! Sonny Onoo hops into the ring, trying to protect his charge, but Sting grabs him by the suit and shoves him into Vader in the corner - and then another Stinger Splash to both of them! Onoo rolls onto the ring apron as Sting pulls Vader out of the corner and hits a one-armed facebuster. He grabs Vader's legs and looks at the crowd, who come to life at the thought of the Scorpion, but when he tries to hook it, Vader comes back alive, punching Sting so hard he falls out of it!</p><p> </p><p> Vader is back on his feet but he's groggy; he makes a charge for Sting, but The Stinger moves, causing Vader to smash into the turnbuckles. Sting hits the ropes on the opposite side, and he rushes into a leaping clothesline that takes Vader down! Sting goes up to the top along with a chair, and it seems as though he's moving slowly as well. This has been a far more brutal match than what it may seem, and Sting takes off through the air, coming down with a big splash assisted by a steel chair! He knocks the wind out of Vader, and covers for a three! Sting has done it!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Winner: Sting</em></p><p><em> Rating: B+</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> The match is over, but adrenaline is the mood of the day; Sting gets up and grabs the weakened Vader and twists him into the Scorpion Deathlock! Sting wrenches the hold, and cameras catch him screaming at Vader "Talk! Talk! Who put you up to all this?!" Vader replies with grunts and groans as Sting pulls even more pressure on the hold. They paid me!"</p><p> </p><p> Sting releases the hold, and he's got a dumbfounded look on his face. Sonny Onoo finally comes into the ring and sits next to Vader, who is holding his back in severe pain. Nick is yelling at Sting, but Sting doesn't even look at him. His face is of shock. His face is of awe. Security step in and seperate the four men, with Morton in particular yelling at them "Give our belts back! Piper gets a microphone and says that he's sure everyone's heard about Ric's little "accident" earlier, laughing as the crowd boos. Roddy says that he wouldn't even have bothered coming out here in front of everyone, but he has to show up in order for the referee to announce his win - by countout. Mickey Jay is right there, and Piper and Hart start to badger him, telling him to ring the bell and start counting. He shrugs, and has the bell rung. Piper is begging off of Flair, who is pumped up and obviously running on adrenaline. He has a huge gauze bandage over his forehead from where the lead pipe had busted him open earlier. Flair grabs Piper and shoves him, and he starts with knife-edge chops! The crowd are solidly behind him with each chop that rings out over the arena, as Piper hasn't even gotten a chance to take off his attire! Flair helps him, by pulling his leather jacket down around his arms and chopping him some more! He points over to Hart on the outside, and in the split second that Mickey Jay looks that way, Flair turns and uses the "trick knee" to sneak in a low blow! Roddy is no idiot, as he slips out of the ring quickly, holding himself now as he starts working on getting his kilt and belt off. Tony speculates how many welts Piper's KoW shirt may be hiding after that flurry of chops, as Flair finally shoves past Mickey and rolls out of the ring to give chase. Piper flees around the ring, and he tries to put Jimmy Hart in Flair's way - but Flair clotheslines him down! Jesse screams whoa, and says that even being on WCW's side as he is, that was a bit uncalled for, but Tony says that this is war, Jess; if Jimmy wants to get in there where the big boys are, then he has to suffer the consequences sometimes!</p><p> </p><p> The "match" returns to the ring, where it quickly becomes a slugfest between these two intense competitors. Unfortunately, that is one thing that "Hot Rod" excels at, and he takes over. Flair's attack earlier seems to be catching up to him now, especially when Roddy starts to really grind his punches into the bandaged forehead. Piper takes a moment to gain a measure of revenge, waiting for Mickey Jay to not be looking and then delivering a low blow in return to Flair! Piper digs in a headlock, screaming as he does. He again grinds a knuckle into the forehead. Flair fights back up and shoves Piper off, but Roddy halts instead of getting sent over a back body drop, and waits for Flair to stand up before poking him in the eyes! Flair yelps in pain, but he quickly returns fire, poking Piper in the eyes! This quickly becomes the nature of the match, as Mickey Jay keeps admonishing both men whenever he can catch them, but it's almost like they're actively fighting to be "The Dirtiest Player in the Game"! Low blows, eye rakes, closed fists, choking, and using the ropes are the name of the game in this one, and the crowd are eating it all up. Throughout it all, the points of attack are clear: Flair is keeping shots raining down upon Piper's knees, while Piper is pinpointing that forehead, to the level that Flair starts bleeding profusely! Things get serious again though when Flair goes up top and gets thrown off, and Piper comes up and grabs him in the sleeper! Flair starts to fade slowly, fighting as much as he can. The crowd are clapping and wooo'ing loudly to try and get "The Nature Boy" back into it, and Mickey Jay lifts his arm... and on the third time it stays up! Flair gets up and shoves back into the turnbuckle, breaking the hold, before lifting Piper and hitting a kneebreaker! Flair yanks on his leg, tugging at his knee, before dropping an elbow on it, yelling "Wooooo!" before backing up and hitting the pinpoint kneedrop! Piper kicks out of the pin, but Flair is relentless now, blocking Piper's attempt to get back into a slugfest by kicking the knee out from under him and hooking in the figure four! Roddy screams in pain, and he holds on as long as possible! He even reaches out and rips Mickey Jay's shirt just to have something to hold onto to relinquish the pain - but he can't escape! The Hogan of old would have accepted and shaken to a good match; but Hollywood spits on him. Steamboat looks at his spat-upon hand, and then he charges! But Hollywood backpedals, and he ducks outside the ropes, making referee Randy Anderson have to stop him before Ricky can get to him. The crowd boos loudly, as Hogan tells Anderson to "get him back, brother". The "Godfather" of the KoW slips back into the ring, and he takes it very slowly, doing what he can to annoy Steamboat. He jaws at him up until the two lock up, and he shoves "The Dragon" back, using his height advantage for leverage. Hollywood poses, being so cocky as to have not even taken his sunglasses off. Ricky comes forward again, and again Hogan stalls out, dropping out of the ring and mocking various fans, putting an arm around his Queen, and in general working his strategy of not caring about the match at hand. Ricky is arguing with Randy Anderson, who says he can do nothing except count. At the count of 9, Hogan finally steps back into the ring. Steamboat walks calmly over to Hogan and slaps him so hard it knocks his glasses off! "The Dragon" tells him to take him serious now, and Hogan's face tells the tale: now it's on!</p><p> </p><p> The match takes off with Hogan trying to use an arm wringer, but Steamboat easily turns it around with a few flips into one of his own. Hogan, not physically able to match that, simply pokes Steamboat in the eye. Hogan punches a few times before putting Ricky in the corner, slapping him repeatedly on the head, but Steamboat charges back, chopping Hogan on the chest and he sends him running across the ring, backing into the ropes. Ricky sends Hollywood shooting across the ring, and he ducks a clothesline attempt before sending Hogan head over heels with a deep armdrag! Hogan rolls to his feet, and he's met with another flurry of knife-edge chops! Steamboat has taken over this match completely as Hogan is now forced to bail out of the ring! He looks around to get his bearings again, but he gets no chance as "The Dragon" flies with a big plancha! Steamboat gets up, and in his face is The Queen. She yells at him, telling him that he needs to stop this right now - and she slaps him across the face! Ricky is too good a man to strike a woman, so instead he slides into the ring. But someone is here to watch his back, as "The American Dream" comes out from the back again! Dusty Rhodes comes down and stands guard at the side of the ring!</p><p> </p><p> Tony and Jesse talk about how Rhodes made a small slip-up earlier in the night and he's probably here to make up for it now, but that doesn't matter as Hogan and Steamboat climb back into the ring. Hollywood is able to turn this into his type of match, by again utilizing his height advantage over Steamboat. Hogan's offense consists of mainly slams, backrakes and punches, but they're effective enough to keep his challenger muted. Anytime Steamboat starts to get back into the match, Hollywood is able to turn it around again. He lifts him into a suplex, dropping Steamboat hard onto the mat. Hogan gets up and starts to talk around again, putting Steamboat and WCW itself down. The former "Hulkster" comes back over and kicks Ricky's head around with his foot, feeling back in control again. Hogan picks him up and hooks Steamboat's arms over the ropes, still talking and talking as he strikes with a chop to the chest - but it seems to be no effect! "The Dragon" stares daggers through the champion, as he chops him again to the same result! Hogan punches Steamboat, and sends him to the ropes, looking to hit the big boot, but Steamboat ducks, before lifting Hogan up for a bodyslam of his own! Hogan rolls to his feet, right into an armdrag! Another armdrag is snapped off, and Steamboat grabs an arm wringer before getting on the top rope, walking across it before hitting Hogan's shoulder hard with a flying chop!</p><p> </p><p> The Queen screams at ringside as the challenger is rallying momentum, and he goes up to the top. Queen grabs a chair and hops into the ring to stand in front of Hogan as he stands up, and Steamboat keeps yelling at her to move! The crowd comes alive as Dusty also slides into the ring, and he stands there to put a finger in the face of the Queen. He grabs the chair, and Randy Anderson tells Queen to get out of the ring, but the attention is solely in center ring as Dusty Rhodes and Hollywood Hogan are face-to-face! Dusty has the chair, and he threatens Hogan with it! Dusty readies the chair, but Hollywood shoves him before he can strike, and he falls back into the corner where the chair flies wildly into the face of Steamboat! Hogan is handed his title, but he's confronted by Dusty Rhodes! The fans start chanting for "The American Dream" as he takes off his watch and hat! Tony says he's looking ready to get funky like a monkey on the KoW! Jesse says that it's three-on-one now, this is horrible odds for Dusty... but the crowd are eating it up as the three circle around him and he starts looking back and forth between all of them. </p><p> </p><p> Dusty starts to line up his elbow, and he's mouthing off for them to "Come on! Come get some!" He dances around a little bit, yelling at the KoW to make their move! And they do, as Piper and Orndorff swoop in and grab Dusty's arms, leaving him wide open for Hogan! Hollywood has his belt, and Tony has now changed his phrasing to say that this is completely unfair advantages taken. Dusty looks at Hogan, telling him "Do it! Do it, already!" <p>First of all, thank you all much for the kind words about the Pillman promo. I feel like it was just as good, if not better, than the one I wrote at Bash at the Beach for Hogan. I dunno about you guys, but in reading it back, I could picture Pillman's voice giving it. That, to me, is always the sign of a well-done written-out promo. Sidenote of this, I want to thank in advance anyone who votes for me in the next DOTM categories.</p><p> </p><p> Secondly, and possibly more important to the thread itself, I only have two matches left to write out for Havoc, and therefore the show should be posted tomorrow night! The match really has no regular tag team flow, as for the most part everyone tags in and out so fast that they just hit their moves and move on. The ending sees Duggan and Butcher practically walking out of the match as their brawl takes them away from the ring, and once it's just a tag team match, Harlem Heat show themselves as masters of the art; Booker hits a scissors kick on Orndorff to pick up the victory. A nice little match that got the crowd warmed up. Hogan says that Steamboat would never have been offered a chance alongside him and the KoW, because there's nothing about him that makes him good enough. He calls Steamboat "a career wasted" because nobody who's been at it for that long and had that many chances at greatness should have so little to show for it! Hogan says that last week, however, Steamboat angered him; he dared to put his hands on Hollywood, and since he's not worried, then he will agree to put the WCW World Heavyweight championship on the line. Piper steps forward to say that if Hogan isn't worried about Steamboat, the only thing that is less of a worry is Ric Flair. Piper says that Flair is a man who can't cut it anymore, and now he's playing to these stupid WCW crowds just to keep himself on top. But at Halloween Havoc, it's gonna be his worst nightmare, as he's going to be shown as someone completely at the bottom, when Piper hooks him in the sleeper and puts him out! Hogan laughs, saying that at the end of the day, the Kings are the top of the pile, and anything else is too civilized! They never gel in the ring at all, but the crowd are into it as there are plenty of times when Rhodes very nearly walks out of this with a new reign as champion. Austin keeps ahead of the curve though, and is always able to slow the match back down, whether by his own merits or by a bit of creative bending of the rules. The match has an extra spectator in Meng, who comes out from the back, much to the dismay of Dusty, who seems extra upset about it. He's especially angry when Meng reaches up and chops Dustin in the collarbone, throwing his equilibrium off which sends him right into a Stungun! Austin gets a pinfall and retains his title, and the smile on his face tells the story of a man who got far more of a fight than he thought he would have. First he works on Vader's arm, then he goes for the knee. Bobby says that he doesn't think this match is very fair, given both Flair and Vader have important matches at Havoc, even if Vader did need punished for his actions last week. At one point we go to commercial break while Vader has sent Flair careening out of the ring after a vicious combination of punches, and Sting comes out to the top of the entrance! He stands and watches on, angering Vader, but when we come back, he hasn't moved toward the ring at all. He doesn't make any moves toward the ring during the match, instead opting just to stand, arms crossed, under the Saturday Night setpiece. While Sting doesn't physically get involved, he definitely plays a role inadvertantly, for good and for bad, as it causes Vader to show off more. His shots get harder, his taunts get louder, and his impacts get more impactful. Vader gets a bit careless though, and when he has it won after a powerbomb, he fails to make the cover, instead going to the top rope. He looks to finish off Flair with a vicious Vadersault, but he takes too long taunting Sting, and Flair rolls out of the way! Vader staggers to his feet, but Flair is able to hook him with a quick rollup, and he gets the win! Ventura says that we were all brought out here by Flyin' Brian, and the Television champion makes his way out to the ring to no music. He walks calmly, in his street clothes, down to the ring. Brian still has the TV title around his waist, along with the black can of spraypaint in his hand. Brian has an eerie look to him, his hair slicked down over his shoulders as he eyes up the three men who stand in the ring before him. He motions for Jesse to bring the microphone, and Ventura holds it for him.</p><p> </p><p> "I called this meeting, of the minds. Because I wanted to set the record straight. I wanted everyone to be present and accounted for, to see just what's happening.... on the front lines. You see, while for you guys, Sting, Hulk, Flair, Piper, all of you... it's almost like another day at the office, only with the roles reversed from normal. You come out here, you put on a song and dance for everyone, and you collect your check at the end of the week just like everyone else does back there.... but the difference is, for you guys, you could do this anywhere. You type of people could call up Vince and have a job in a heartbeat if WCW folded.... but not everyone gets that luxury! Hogan, I said from the minute you walked in the door here, that I wanted to be on your side! I was a Hulkamaniac! I talked about it with everyone until they got sick of hearing how excited I was, for the 'immortal' Hulk Hogan." Brian looks down at the can of spraypaint in his hand, and at Hogan, and he continues "I guess not everything is 'immortal' is it Hulk? No, I'm sorry, it's 'Hollywood' now."</p><p> </p><p> Hogan motions for the microphone now, and he says "Well brother, it took some time for the other Kings to accept you as someone we could depend on. The Trinity are pretty harsh critics, brother, but now, we'd be willing to take you on as a member." Sting grabs the microphone harshly, and he tells Hogan in no uncertain terms "That's a load of crap! Hogan, the only thing you've ever said about Brian was that he needed to go away like all the other crazy fans!" The two look to go face-to-face, but Jesse calms things down, getting in the middle of them. Sting backs down at Ventura's request, and Hogan simply adds "You know what I said you have to do, and it's very simple," motioning at the can of spraypaint.</p><p> </p><p> Brian looks at it, and he has Ventura come back to him. He chuckles, saying "As I was saying. 'Hollywood'. 'Hulk'. Whatever you intend to go by; a rose by any other name may smell the same, but by the same card, so does an ass!" Everyone seems shocked, even Jesse talks to Pillman away from the microphone, but Brian is unapologetic. "Hogan, I idolized you. I cared about you. I wanted to be you. But it looks like things didn't really turn out." He sets down the can of spraypaint on the mat, and then he turns to Sting. "My friend, my big brother, the Stinger. Man, we've been through some times. Hey, you remember Yellow Dog, right? Ha ha ha... yeah, good times, right? Wait, where were you at those times? Oh yeah, you were partying with Flair, and Lex, and you were too busy, to say anything like 'That Pillman kid, why doesn't he get a shot at my title sometime?' Oh no. So instead, I got into this whole 'Hollywood' gimmick, and it was good... until in the end... Brian Pillman became a forgotten man! Let me ask both of you, do you know <em>where</em> Flyin' Brian was at the last Clash of the Champions on TBS? Do you know where I was? Because when I look over the list of who had matches on that show, my name doesn't seem to show up! I <strong>made</strong> myself get noticed again, when I started talking to Hogan! And what'd you do for me? Had your stooge put me up against Ron Simmons? Great call there - I beat him every time in the ring! <em>And I still - wasn't - good enough - for you!</em> But Sting.... you're just as bad! You've said you were my friend. You've been like a big brother to me, the brother I never had... and I never asked for!"</p><p> </p><p> Sting shakes his head, saying it wasn't supposed to be like that, but Brian holds up his hand to calm him down. "But then, it dawned on me. Nobody wanted much to do with Flyin' Brian... until this." He reaches down and takes off the World Television championship from his waist and holds it up. "Now that I have this, it's like <em>everyone</em> wants a bit of Flyin' Brian. Even old Flair is offering up a spot to me! So I have the KoW... I have the dead Horsemen... or I have WCW? Isn't that right? Am I understanding correctly? Well, how about I give each of you my answer then, because I don't want to keep anyone else on pins and needles!"</p><p> </p><p> Sting then gets the microphone, and he says "Brian. If there was any time that you felt like I left your side like you're saying, then I'll be the first to say, I apologize. But you can't join with Hogan and his gang of snakes!" Sting starts to urge Brian to say no, and he gets a bit closer to him to talk to him privately, but Pillman smashes Sting with the TV title! Sting goes down, and Brian takes back the microphone. He says "Sting, I'm sorry, but I had to do that, because I'm proving a point! You don't want me with the snakes? But we're all living in the snakepit already!" He looks at Hogan, who looks overjoyed, saying "Paint it, brother, paint it!"</p><p> </p><p> But Brian doesn't move toward the can of spraypaint. Instead he moves toward Hollywood to hit him! Hogan manages to get out of the way though, and he exits the ring altogether. Brian wrenches the microphone from Ventura's hand, and he tells him to go away too. Brian says that "There's no way I will <em>ever</em> deface <strong>MY</strong> title for you! You had your chance - you both did - and now, King Hogan, King Flair, King Sting, King Piper, and especially you, King Bock - all of you are Kings in my book! Well off with <strong>all</strong> your heads! You've had your war of the thrones, and all I've seen is how pathetic you all can be! You kings can have your war, because when it's all said and done, they'll hail me as the emperor!"</p><p> </p><p> Brian looks into the hard camera with a glare in his eye, and he says "The new day is coming. Flyin' Brian? That's as dead as 'Hulk Hogan'. They all had their chances to have fun with Flyin' Brian. As for the prediction contest.... only one person saw the no contest coming... and I can't blame you for thinking Butcher would be the fall guy. But that in mind, since one person DID guess that way, I can't in good conscience hand out any points for this week However I can say that I'm very happy to see a new face or two pop up with seemingly each show. ------------ Smasher1311 - The Bodies actually never wrestled in WCW, so don't feel TOO bad. They were in SMW and then the WWF as basically jobbers to the RNR Express and the Steiners. The only time they got anything worth note was in matches on WWF TV for the SMW Tag belts; but after I stole the RNRs from the WWF, I figured I may as well grab the Bodies too if I could! angeldelayette - Honestly I thought about breaking them up... I considered making Bagwell as Roma's new partner as soon as I thought of making a new team for "Pretty" Paul. But then the incident came up with Porteau walking out of GWF, and I thought he'd work well for it. Even better, I went through the names in TEW and it gave me "Style And Substance".... perfect! alvarasus - I feel your pain brutha, hahaha that is an image that shall be burned onto my retinas for a long time! But keep in mind - guys like Del Ray and Rude and the Von Erichs, much like a guy like Burt Reynolds, was kinda considered the female's eye candy back then! Though in JDR's case, I'd say it was played for laughs more than anything.

Within one day, they gained hostile relationships with Mid-Eastern Wrestling Federation, Smokey Mountain, Southern States Wrestling, and USWA, and they were already hostile with ECW and WWC. I purposely left out the Tag title match, because I wanted that to be a surprise. So how many of you were surprised? Nobody saw the win from Badd and Wright coming? Wanted to drop in and say that I'm glad everyone's enjoying the comments part now, wasn't sure how many people would actually leave any! I have the show all written out, but I'm going to save it for tomorrow so that I can have time to work ahead a bit in the game. So I'm implementing the 24(ish) hour warning! Anyone else who wants to predict in the first show of the brand new contest has until tomorrow night to get in! And this way, I'll be able to post the show and immediately follow up with the Hotline. That seems to be a good way for things to work out. I'm also glad to see everyone commenting so highly on the idea of Hogan vs Steamboat. People talk about dream matches like Sting vs Taker or Andre vs Show, but I think this is one of wrestling's historic matches that never was which gets overlooked a lot. The two were always faces during Steamboat's time in the WWF, and when Hogan got to WCW, Steamboat had just suffered his career-ending injury. Obviously in this world, Ricky hasn't had that, and in fact he isn't even in time decline, so I'm hoping that "The Dragon" can have a good, long career in this game!

So here's my new prediction style, and I'll admit that I'm blatantly ripping off the style used by angel, only I got his permission. Instead of being tallied by number of matches, from here out you will be given "wins" when you can correctly predict the matches on a given Saturday Night card. PPVs will count in this but will also be given their own thing. This will make the contests longer, running for 3 or 4 months at a time instead of only one, and that will make it better for people who don't get in on every card, meaning anyone can get a better chance. This prediction contest will run from October week 1 until Starrcade at the end of December. I've also added a box for comments for each match - fill them out if you want, if not then whatever. As you just saw, the trouble for Funk and Buck was actually just a way to write him away; I just couldn't foresee anything to do with him on a roster like I'm bolstering right now, especially with the plans I have in mind. The win for Hogan would have gone a bit differently had it been the cage match, but the momentum Flair nabbed in having an A* match certainly made up for the loss! And oh yeah, I got an A* match!!! Funny thing, like I said in the Hotline, In Your House (Sep.) and Fall Brawl '94 were VERY similar shows. I always use both grades and numbers, though I only throw grades at you all. Bret vs Owen scored a 96, the show itself was an 87, the buyrate a 2.28. Hogan vs Flair was a 98, the show was an 89, and the buyrate a 2.88. The only thing their show had better was the attendance. I also wanted to say that for a change, I'm actually way ahead of my own type of schedule with Fall Brawl, and it should be posted by tomorrow night. He says that he doesn't know where anyone is getting the idea that he's allied with the Kings of Wrestling, but he's started getting very sick of it, and if he has to actually shut someone up to put a stop to these allegations, then maybe he should call Funk out right now and start with him!</p><p> </p><p> Terry Funk comes out from the back with his trusty branding iron, and he tells Sting that he needs to fess up; word is all around Japan that he must be one of the KoW, and maybe even has something to do with the "Trinity" that they keep talking about! Funk says even the fans in Japan don't believe Sting when he claims his innocence, and all of them can't wait for their national heroes like Vader and The Great Muta to stomp him like a bug! Sting is furious, and tells Funk that he needs to learn how to mind his own business, or else he'll send him back to Amarillo in a lot of pain! Funk asks if Sting is going to have Hogan and Piper attack him like they did to Flair last week, and that sets Sting off! He starts hitting Funk, but Terry gets the upper hand by prodding Sting in the stomach with the branding iron! Terry dumps Sting out of the ring and starts hitting him across the back with the iron, but Sting ducks under a wild swing with it and grabs a chair! It's not the same as the match at the Clash, but it's very close. However, this time there are some extra guests. As Morton is outside the ring, in the front row of the crowd stand "Doctor of Desire" Tom Pritchard and "Gigolo" Jimmy Del Ray, the Heavenly Bodies! Vader catches Brian in the midst of Air Pillman though, and he smashes him to the mat, before lifting him up and planting Pillman with a powerbomb!
