Badd was pinned by Steve Austin after Austin used a foreign object, but referee Randy Anderson came out and called him on it and counted a three when Badd rolled Austin up. The standing call is that Badd won by disqualification. This match nearly goes to the TV title's time limit, with the noble Regal trading holds and counterholds against Badd's boxing background. Badd rallies toward the end, but when he goes up the ropes for the ten punch countdown he gets distracted by Sir William outside! Regal catches his breath and rolls Badd up to get the three count.

[centerRating: C[/center]

We're backstage where Brian Armstrong, somewhat distraught after his loss earlier, is talking to brother Brad. This being only the second match that Arn and Dustin have been teaming together, Eaton and Keirn use their experience to isolate Arn. Psychology noted by Dusty: Anderson is the far more decorated tag team wrestler, and far less hot-headed than Dustin, so when Eaton goads him, Dustin runs in the ring and costs them an advantage. Everything from referee placement to luring Rhodes into the ring get used, as "Double A" gets punished with the ring cut off. Arn gets a lucky break when Keirn and Eaton mistime a double backdrop, leading to Anderson hitting them both with stereo clotheslines! Arn makes the hot tag and Dustin is all over them with punches and bionic elbows! Rhodes takes Bobby out with a bulldog as Arn spins Keirn around and spikes him with a DDT for the victory.

Rating: C+

After the match, Dustin and Arn stop by the announce table and get a microphone. Flanked by manager Jimmy Hart, Hogan plays to the crowd, though WCW's shift away from taping everything at Disney/MGM seems to have hurt his cred, as these paying crowds aren't completely eating out of his hands. Still, the pop is louder than not, and "The Hulkster" makes his way to the ring. He gets on the microphone and tells of how excited he is to be here in front of all the Hulkamaniacs from the WCW side of the fence! He says how he's been backstage all night training with his good friend Mr. T, getting ready for his debut match at Bash at the Beach. Hogan says he himself doesn't care when it is, because he's been ready to get back in the ring ever since he left it! And he REALLY can't wait until the Bash when he can get his hands on one "Nature Boy" Ric Flair!

But wait, what's that? Sting says that he's not all that happy to have seen Ric Flair walking around with the gold, but he's glad to say that he's caught wind that "Sensual" Sherri is still going to be barred from the arena, and may be indefinitely suspended from World Championship Wrestling! And that leaves only one thing left to discuss, and at that the tension bristles through the crowd as Sting turns his attention to the man standing across the ring from him!

The former champion stands face to face with Hogan. Sting says that Hogan claims being a five-time World champion, and he has respect for that, but says that with all due respect, Hulk needs to understand, "you ain't in Kansas no more, even if you did bring your little Toto along!" pointing at Hart! Sting says that he is also a five-time champion (once in the NWA, twice in WCW, and two International World title reigns) and that he'd love to make that six sooner rather than later! However, he also wants to say that he's happy to see Hogan in WCW now, because it means they've entered a new era, an era where the best get ahead, because now they have all of the best in one place! And with that, he extends his hand and on behalf of WCW, offers his welcome to Hulk Hogan! Sting also says that he knows Ric Flair almost as much as he knows himself, and that Flair can be a tricky one, "Slick Ric" to be sure, and in order to make sure the same thing doesn't happen to Hulk as what did himself at Clash of the Champions, he will gladly help out the Hulkster with any advice he wants! The crowd let a loud cheer at the idea of the two fan favorites working together, as Hogan accepts the handshake and is generally happy that Sting has given his blessing to Hulk challenging for the top prize in the industry. The two play to the crowd and Schiavone calls this meeting between Hogan and Sting a huge moment in the history of the sport of pro wrestling, presented right here to you on WCW Saturday Night, as we go to a commercial break.

Rating: B+

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/BrianPillman.jpg vs. http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/TheGambler.jpg

Flyin' Brian vs. The Gambler

How do you follow one of the biggest moments in the history of wrestling? Gene prompts Flair, asking him that after we heard about how Hulk Hogan is training with his megastar friend Mr. T, and now it appears Sting is willing to help Hogan as well, how is Flair getting ready for the big match at the Bash? Flair scoffs, saying that he's preparing the only ways he knows how, the two-sided workout plan he's had for years; "keep sharp in the ring by actually WRESTLING rather than just hanging around with buddies outside the ring, and keep cardio up with your momma after the show!" Flair says that he has friends too, and they're doing what they can to make sure Hogan does NOT leave Orlando with HIS World title. He's in a foul mood since he found out his friend Sherri is possibly going to be banned from WCW, and he plans to take his anger out on The Guardian Angel tonight. You go back and you tell him, this is WCW!", but the crowd goes crazy as they all find that The Angel isn't going to have to deliver any message; the sound of "American Made" means Flair can deliver the message face to face!

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/HulkHogan.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/MrT.jpg

Dusty screams as well in glee as Hulk Hogan makes his way out, but not alone; he has backup! The crowd roars its approval, and Flair stands at ringside screaming and kicking the guardrail as Hogan continues to goad him! Once Hogan insults Flair's manhood, saying maybe he's too afraid to do this until it's a sanctioned match, Flair instantly slides into the ring and the fight is on! Rights and lefts are flying; first Hogan has the edge by sending Flair into the corner with some big rights, then Flair gets the edge by hitting a flurry of punches and chops to the chest and stomach. The crowd are rocking with every blow that either man lands, and their want to see these two go at one another is only intensified when a host of officials and security come out to try and break the two up! 3. http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWlogo.jpg The wrestling world is in a state of flux. Old talents out, new talents in, all the time. What used to work, sometimes no longer does. The crowds start to catch on to the fresh new thing, but if they don't get what they want, they don't stick around. This is where we enter World Championship Wrestling. They have just gotten done hiring the biggest name in all sports-entertainment, "The Immortal" Hulk Hogan. All systems appear to be a go, as WCW are set to produce the match that the World Wrestling Federation never got to pull the trigger on: Hulk Hogan against "Nature Boy" Ric Flair. The entire wrestling world is skeptical over what can happen now, when two of the biggest egos collide at Bash at the Beach. However, these aren't the only egos being dealt with. A lot of wrestlers can be known to get a big head once they feel they deserve something. There are a lot of them in WCW itself, either massive egos or people simply becoming complacent with their spot in the company. Everyone needs to be kept in check once in awhile, even WCW's own Executive Vice President, Eric Bischoff. Eric has a lot of innovative ideas. There are a lot of people who need pushed, there are a lot who need brought out of their own discomfort zone. A lot of those ideas which Eric is proposing requires the boys to follow the script, without question, in order to get to the big picture. Even Ted Turner himself is a little afraid of finding what will happen when heads butt backstage, and so he's gotten a little insurance policy that will make sure the locker room of his little cash cow project will remain harmonious. Mr. Turner is an old school 'rasslin fan through and through, yet he likes the new ideas that Bischoff wants to introduce. But someone needs to make sure cool heads will always prevail. That's why we introduce this man. http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/HarleyRace.jpg "Handsome" Harley Race. Long known as one of wrestling's toughest men. Now appointed to the unofficial title of "locker room leader," his role is to make sure that all things which the office wants, happens. The locker room is full of prima donnas. From the little fish such as Steven Regal and Marcus Bagwell, up the ladder to the Flairs and Hogans, and even Bischoff himself, "The Fear of Harley" is to keep them in line. Harley will be on his toes, as soon there will be the start of a new eon in World Championship Wrestling, and perhaps even in all of wrestling itself.
