  1. WCW Television - September 1994, Week 2 http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWSaturdayNight.png WCW Saturday Night September 1994, Week 2 Announcers: Tony Schiavone, Bobby Heenan, Dusty Rhodes Held at: The Palestra (Tri State) Attendance 10,000 (sell out!) Rating: B So here is our concept for the evening: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/bGLu0J6uE4I?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWlogo.jpg ----------------------- Time to catch up some feedback... I've really slacked on this. I'd hope by now you can see where I'm going with Evad. And yes, the first thing I thought of was Gibson... but I went to one of my friends who likes country music and asked if they thought this song was better for a heel or a face, and heel won out, so the song now belongs to the Stable. The other option was it would've gone to Tex & Shanghai... but I think it's much better for Parker and Co. Musta been a fluke that time, actually. As you can see, this show had almost the same angle, only with Piper involved, and it got a B. Either that or else TEW is crazy. No refunds, sir, but we would like to mention that the WCW Catalog offer plenty of wonderful deals and savings that will make it so you still have money to pay your phone bill! I felt clever as hell for making the talent trade to get Muta to face Sting. Was a little surprised at all the love for Lex to have made the jump. I would like to sign him at some point, but unfortunately I think his WWF contract is gonna be around for quite awhile. Yeah after I debuted Onoo as a manager (I had him as a personality for awhile, hoping I could keep him sated until I found a place for him) I thought him bringing in two young, Japanese signings as a team would be a great idea. These two already have a team in the game (albeit with no xp) and it seemed believable for Hakushi to sign in the US, given it wasn't long after this timeframe he showed up in the WWF. Fun fact: "Hakushi" translates to "White Messenger". I didn't know that until I started looking up things. Don't worry about it, I'm just glad to have new readers coming along I've been liking your WWF 99 as well, so it's cool seeing that you're into what I'm doing as well. Hope to keep you as a reader! I dunno about anyone else, but I used to love how even the jobbers in WCW had some type of gimmick. I plan to eventually have some enhancement turnover, and when I do, I intend on keeping that alive! Fun in-game fact: Bobby Walker has been getting mentored by Ricky Steamboat. And much thanks to all the comments that have been left by alvarasus. He comments after pretty much every show, and I feel bad for never taking time to do exactly this and send some feedback in return to you all. So, I'm one show (well, one SN and one ME, but since they're taped on the same night, one show) away from Fall Brawl. I want to ask everyone what they think of all the storylines I have running; is there anything you've gotten sick of seeing, anything you want to see get killed soon, anything you're especially into? After Fall Brawl, a lot of stories will be changing drastically, so I'm curious if you're ready to see some of the same things end that I'm ready to put down. Also, fun fact: I'm a moron when it comes to storylines anymore. I've literally let two storylines get down to F+ momentum, before finding out that I was stupid. One was the Dustin/Meng storyline, because I didn't realize I'd left Meng as a supporting character when I took Parker out of it, and the other was Cactus/Sullivans, when I found out everything I'd booked hadn't been getting counted because I forgot to make it so Cactus wasn't allied with the two anymore. What a dumbass. Just a glimpse into my backstage - sometimes it's kinda like the actual WCW back here! Next Hotline will be up tomorrow night at the latest.

  7. WCW Clash of the Champions 1994 http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWClash.jpg WCW Clash of the Champions 1994 Announcers: Tony Schiavone & Jesse "The Body" Ventura Held LIVE from Greensboro Coliseum (Mid-Atlantic) Attendance: 30,000 (sell out) Buyrate: 2.74 Rating: B+ http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWlogo.jpg --------------------------------------- CotC Prediction Results Highest rated match: Flair/Arn vs Piper/Orndorff, netting an impressive 91 (A) rating. I've been highly impressed by Orndorff after the past two matches I had him in. Lowest rated match: It actually was Regal vs Patriot, by a margin of three points, or it would have been the Tag titles match. Regal/Patriot got a 67. Number of turns: I feel very Russo in saying this, but I feel like all of them were built toward somewhat - there were five turns on this show. Both Sullivans turned to heel members of the KoW, Slazenger and Pierce turned face, and Brad Armstrong to heel to join the Stud Stable. And as everyone seemed to figure on from the start, Steve Austin did indeed take his US title to the Stable. RKOwnage: 7/14 NWAvsWWF: 7/14 BHK1978: 6/14 Coop: 6/14 The Final Countdown: 5/14 Even with tiebreaker questions, we still had a tie Since there were so few predictions, I'm just going to filter these into the month's predictions, which I will calculate and post tomorrow along with the next Hotline. So until tomorrow night, hope you all enjoyed this show!
  8. I have plans in mind built up until Starrcade 1995... yeah, I so need to keep working to get all my ideas out
  9. Yeah, under or roughly a week... I dunno, just feel like I'm not being productive enough. I've realized my problem is likely that I just have so many ideas, that I want to rush my way to them, when I'm really doing just fine. Oh, and I realized I didn't post the prediction standings. BHK1978: 12/15 NWAvsWWF: 12/15 RKOwnage: 11/15 The Final Countdown: 7/10 Henderson: 5/6 alvarasus: 3/6 Gentleman Raven: 3/5

Always nice seeing people comment who's own diaries I am so much enjoying, enjoying mine! Unfortunately, Brian's overness hasn't reflected the segments as much I've wanted it to. He's definitely one of my over wrestlers, but he's still pretty firmly rooted in the upper midcard. I think it's perhaps his fun babyface gimmick keeping him held back, because its only a 66 rating, along with how little he's actually been in the ring. Nope, I still had Flair as a heel during the whole month. I set up Hogan, Hart, and Mr. T to turn heel about two weeks before the Bash and just let their turns simmer until the Bash itself - I absolutely LOVE the "set to turn" button in 13, it makes my subtle slow burns feel so realistic! Though I was hoping that the segment with Heenan and Flair attacking Hogan would have turned everyone to think the "conspiracy" was just a plot between them I turned T and Hart during the match at BatB itself, and Hogan during the promo with Piper afterward. I turned Flair face the next SN when he saved Duggan. The only thing that was a bit unfortunate was that since I'd signed Piper, Hogan went into the match with low morale - hence why I was going to sign Beefcake at some point, it forced my hand to do so sooner rather than later so that I could boost his morale back up. I still have a lot more heel and face turns to come, because I'm still not done moving pieces around my board of human chess haha. Some of them I'm sure will make for huge shocks, while some of them have already started to be hinted at during the next show.

I actually wrote that out before I even started posting the game, because I wanted to make it special. And I am truly honored to be nominated this early into the game for DOTM, and for any votes that I get. It's only gonna build from here; the first month was all just the preface. Now the titular "War of the Thrones" has finally begun!

  20. Thanks for the comment, I love hearing where people think I'm headed with things, so that I know if I'm being too predictable or not And oh yeah, expect Vader to be at the head of things for quite awhile, I am a HUGE Vader fan. Thanks! I always like a good "face has to go against his morals" story too. Will it happen? I guess we'll wait and see, won't we? hehehe. And again, thank you to Raven and NWAvsWWF for predictions. I think after this month I'll start running a small prediction contest. The first month of a diary like this I always find to be somewhat predictable; it's once I get into my own groove that things will REALLY start to shake up! Bash at the Beach itself should be up within the next few days, just wanted to take a few minutes to talk to some people who've commented and let everyone know what's happening. I currently only have three or four matches to write yet, and then it'll be ready to format and go!

Also thanks to Ritchardo and Jaysin for their predictions and comments for the first show; if enough people participate, I'll gladly run a monthly predictions contest. And Ritchardo, I'm glad you like the hotline gimmick; just seems realistic for the time as a way to let my company knowledge out.
  24. WCW Television - July 1994, Week 2 PreShow Harlem Heat defeated Scott Stud and Terry Taylor, the Big Apple Blast spelling the end for Taylor as Booker covered him shortly after. Stud and Taylor surprised management by doing very well as a team. © Lord Steven Regal didn't have to defend his championship this evening, but he was still victorious over Brad Armstrong. A rare clean victory from the nobleman, he put Brad away with the Regal Stretch. © Terry Funk defeated The Patriot in a match that would've been good enough for TV. Not long after that, he won his first taste of gold, defeating Mike Rotundo for the Television championship.
