3. What I find funny about the whole situation is that the three teams that have already abandoned LA (Chargers, Rams, and Raiders) all wanted to move back there. There was a reason why they all left in the first place.

The only team I think had a valid case was the Raiders as that stadium is a craphole...I mean literally. The locker rooms have sewage leaking into them.

I've been to both the Oakland Colosseum and Qualcom and they both equally suck ass. Of course the sewage thing puts Oakland over the top but do not underestimate just how poor the conditions are at Qualcom.

The thing that's really bugging people here is that the relocation process is going to cost the Spanos family 800 million while the additional amount they wanted in Sand Diego would have put their contribution at a little over 400 million. Just shows they really had no intention of staying in San Diego.

  4. Being a transplant in San Diego has been interesting this morning.

A lot of the die hards and radio personalities really did think Dean Spanos was bluffing about moving the team to LA. Last year I thought it'd be funny if they moved, but it isn't. Lots of broken hearts and I feel bad for the long time fans.

Worst thing is that LA doesn't even want the team.

  5.
Anyone playing The Last Guardian? Reviews were all over the place so I held off and got ff15 instead.

I loved Ico and Shadow of the Colossus so probably should have just got it but some of the even positive reviews were filled with caveats.

It is much darker than any of the other Star Wars movies, but it had to be based on the plot of the movie. There was plenty of action throughout the movie, very little "fluff" in the way of dialog or comedic characters (Jar Jar http://1865987047.rsc.cdn77.org/board/images/smilies/mad2.gif). I really loved the easter eggs they tossed in throughout making reference to some of our favorite characters from Episode 4, the animated series on Disney and the Clone Wars series.

I had a couple issues, but I feel that I am nitpicking a really good movie and installment into the Star Wars world. 7. I am:

    A) A diehard, bitter Dodgers fan.

    B) Tired of the yearlong media lovefest with the Cubs.

    C) A huge fan of Major League, which I've probably seen more than any movie ever.

    In summary: GO TRIBE!

    Duck the Fodgers!!!!

    Go Giants!!!

    That is all...

I can't say enough good things about Pitch, and the new Lethal Weapon was a straight up blast for me. A+ for both of them.

I very much enjoyed Bull as well, although I wasn't quite as blown away as I was for Pitch and Lethal Weapon. It was OK, I suppose, but it just didn't impress me as much as the other three shows I've mentioned.

I've got the new Excorcist on my DVR, but I haven't gotten around to watching it yet, so we'll see what it holds in store.

I had to watch Pitch as my daughter was in a scene but I was pleasantly surprised that it was pretty good.

I do want to check Excorcist out as well but have no interest in Leathal Weapon or MacGyver at all.

  9. Hulu Raw is the worst. :/

I keep reading about the Lucha Dragons and Neville on Raw, and that's basically what they cut out of it.

I cut cable so Hulu is how I get Raw too. I usually watch it then check the recaps to see what segments I missed and see what I want to YouTube

Pretty much anything involving Stardust and Mizdow I've had to YouTube for quite a while now.

  10. I figured out right away that "leaked" script was totally fake. It made me laugh though. It's almost on the same level as that big middle finger pic of the Wrestlemania 31 ramp and layout.

That Axelmania poster is awesome! I'm honestly surprised that Vince let him keep going with that gimmick for this long until that segment with Snoop Dog and Hogan made me bang me head on the wall!

Of course they let the Axelmania gimmick run, its doing its job of disguising the fact that Cena is also doing his best hulkamania impression against Rusev.

  11. It was a fun game. I half-get the decision to throw the ball, but throwing it over the middle of the field? It would've been better to just throw a jump ball in the corner where if you miss there's minimal chance of a pick if you just want to burn 10 seconds and a down.

I had a problem when Carroll said that. I just don't get the play call and that specific reasoning given how Seattle is built. Their identity is their defense and running game.

So, why play against your strengths in the superbowl? They should have put the game in the hands of their best units. Marshawn should have been able to punch that in, given it took a great play by Hightower to stop him from scoring on that first down to begin withd.

They should have been able to rely on the teams biggest strength to keep Brady at bay for 40 seconds. Sure it could have resulted in overtime but I'd much rather rely on what got them to the superbowl in the first place instead of outhinking oneself and losing the game in that fashoin.

  12. Not sure whose choice it was to make that pass, but they need to be slapped, worst play of the entire night.

Pete Carroll immediately took the blame for that one after the game.

Anyway, yeah, you call your RB Beast Mode, he's been dragging half of the Pats DLine around all night. So when all you need is 1 yard to win the game; pass it. Seems like the right thing to do lol

  13. Best player stats-wise, the minute he's playing against a QB he wants to make a point against, the penalties start racking up. He's like Dan Marino, the lineman (and with a worse attitude), great on paper, useless when you really need him.

Suh had 7 penalties this year. 5 of which were offsides or encroachment. He had 1 Roughing the Passer and 1 Facemask.

JJ Watt led the league with 3 roughing the passer penalties. 9 others had 2 roughing the passer calls; there were 83 players with 1 roughing call against them, Suh included.

There were about 50 players with more penalties than him and about 140 whose penalties accounted for more yards against their team.

He manhandled Dallas's "number 1 offensive line," led a relentless attack on Rodgers in the first game in Detroit and beat double teams all year to cause pressure on the QB. Detroit actually plays from the inside out on the DLine, meaning they rely more heavily on pressure from the inside. This is because of Suh, Fairly and no-names like Mosely. It allows Jones, Ansah and the DE's to play stellar run support. It's not possible without Suh though.

He just had his best year as a pro; not statistically but this was his best season in the nfl. He was Detroit's best player week in and week out and is more important to the team than even Stafford; especially if Caldwell is going to insist on not opening up the offense.

He's far from a problem in the community and locker room. Everything I've read about him off field is that he's a good guy and does everything he can to contribute to the community.

But yeah, he has incidents on the field that make fans of other teams hate him. I get it, if he wasn't a Lion I'd have the same opinion but he does not cause a game to game distraction and Detroit is not sniffing the playoffs without him on the field and the myth that he doesn't show up for big games is one of the dumber things I've read around Lions message boards lately. I think Lions fans are telling themselves this to mentally prepare themselves to lose him in free agency.

  14. I think my love affair with Sony may well be over.

About a year ago, I had a PS3 linked to my account that I was unaware of and because of that, I couldn't play my own game on my console.

Now, my 11 month daughter randomly hit buttons on my controller and purchased a £40 game. I cancelled the download right away, but they refuse to refund it

Same thing happened to me, my Son was just over a year and he bought GI Joe 2 and Twisted Metal Black somehow. Called and they refused to refund me the money even though there was no money in my Sony Wallet and my settings were set so that PSN couldn't automatically draw from my account to complete a purchase.

It only cost me about 20 bucks but really GI Joe 2, please...

  15. Being the huge Batman nerd I am, I could rant at length about how wrong it is to use these two. But I'll just restrict it to this question: Why in God's name would you use two villains whose origins both heavily involve Batman in a show that's not about Batman?

They technically don't have to appear as their villain counterparts. While I still wouldn't add Harvey so early. Joker could make plenty appearances as the Red Hood.

  16. Slugfests usually involve strikes, which are the direct opposite of grapples, which is what triggers it

    Straight from the article:

"During this period, you can still do running or standing strikes, as well as Irish whips, so you still have options, but the full extent of the grappling game doesn’t open up until some decent damage has been dealt."

Anyway, here is a bad cell phone video of some guys playing the demo at Gamescon. Notice they didn't grapple once in the video.
