Attributes There are a staggering number of attributes in the game and they give the characters a lot of depth. I think this is another area that could provide some variety in the challenges and make no two games the same. Some seem quite overpowered (e.g. prodigy) and some not (Fat genes, History of concussions) so this will need some thought.

Skills In previous games you had 750 points to distribute in the various skills of your wrestler. The new game has a Quick Skill Creation tool which I think would make creating a new RTG wrestler quick and fun and should create some interesting skills sets. I've been playing around with this and the settings below give our new guy around 800 points. This is more than allowed last time but I think this is ok because we have less control over where the points go. I'd also suggest that we allow people to move stats around to get Star Quality to a reasonable level because getting someone with no SQ over is more of a trial than a challenge. What does everyone think?

Road to Glory is a TEW challenge that has been running for a long time now. If you are not aware the basis of the challenge is: The new game brings a lot of new tools to make this challenge even more interesting and this thread is to discuss what new elements to include.

Fair point. Again, fair point. But, I've found it very easy to find the information I need without using that section.

Personally, I think people are exagerating about the UI. Some screens are ugly but overall I think it's easy to find what you are looking for. I think the section at the bottom of the screen will be very useful when people work out what buttons they want to customise it with. If you look at the skins in the mod forum there are already some nice looking skins for the game. One thing that is very hard to deal with is the block of 40 buttons on the right of the office screen. This needs to be broken into sections if possible.

For the second part of that I need to know what their skills are. I really like the wrestler attributes. I'm looking through my roster and I can see that Bryn Archer won't do stunts but will not hold back in any match. He is also quiet backstage. This gives him a lot of personality and life. UK Dragon is a professional and will never agree to lose his mask. I love this. Another con though; is it me or is it not possible to search the handbook? The searches everywhere else on the game are fanastic but I don't want to read through every section of the handbook to find something.

The UK scene is a slight disapointment to me. Unless you want to jump in as the dominant 21CW the options are not too interesting. You have a ultra old school promotion with no angles and long matches or a hardcore promotion. I created a promotion with a classic balanced product but it would have been nice to have something like this from the start. I do like some of the new workers though, Dangermouth and Bryn Archer in particular look very fun to book.

Two more thoughts: Pro - Perception. I don't want pushes back. The game tells us how our fans see the workers and it's up to us where we put them on the card. Pushes are always so fiddly and the constant 'i'm not happy with my push' messages were annoying. Cons - I miss the check stats button whilst booking angles. Now if I want to check what a wrestler is good at, I have to go into the roster, find the relevant worker and go into his profile or look through the long list of stats.

I've played the demo a fair bit tonight: Pros: - The match booking screen is great - Booking on the fly works really well - Stats on the loading screen turn waiting for the next show into scouting time - The extra attributes to rate angles add more opportunity to get the best out of workers - The handbook is great Cons: - I don't hate the UI as much as some here but the 40 boxes on the right hand side of the office screen give me the grey dot illusion and it's hard to find what i'm looking for - Minor complaint but the pictures of the workers on the booking screen and post match screen are tiny compared to 16 - The AI seem to split up the establish stables very quickly and add odd new ones (Frehley, James Justice, Running Wolf, Julius Moor and Trent Shaffer are now 'The Gremlins') - This might be me being stupid but 3 times out of 3 when booking a show I have clicked on the yellowbar to start the show thinking it would take me to a screen to view potential booking options (I don't think the booking issues should be mentioned on the button, a pop up would be better)

EW Revenge was my first of these games and TEW 2004 is the only paid version I didn't buy. When I think about the old games I just remember how slow they ran. The shows used to take ages to book too. This was partially because of the ancient PC I had but I recall sitting down for an evening of TEW and managing to book three or four shows a night. I used to get through so many wrestling DVDs whilst waiting for the next show to load. Every version since has made booking quicker and processing faster and I can't wait to see the improvements in the new game. Luckily i'm busy with work and two kids so I don't have time to get too frustrated waiting.

Yes, and often I went back to an old save and wanted to have a clear out. This makes that much more viable.

I'm planning to move over to 2020 as soon as the full release is out. Once I get a new version of the game I almost never go back to the old one. The start of a new save is always the most fun part for me anyway.

I start off with a google sheets doc with a list of workers and then the document evolves to include match tracking, worker chemistry etc. I did used to plan shows on sheets too but I started using Trello more recently as it works really well for planning future cards.

The big man signals for his RIP piledriver but Lover counters with a enziguri and starts a breathtaking comeback filled with kicks, crossbodies and dives. Digger is stunned by the onslaught and stumbles into a Lover Stunner...1....2....3! Ionut says that he chose Venom as the challenger because he has the technical skills to match up with Hossam and he is also an excellent high flyer, he can't wait to see how Hossam deals with this challenge.</p><p> </p><p> Venom certainly is a good grappler but he is not in the same league as Hossam and he gets tied in knots. The challenger reverts to aerial attacks but Hossam evades the airborne assault and ties Venom up with holds again. Hossam displays an awesome array of explosive suplexes and slams, Venom is smaller than Hossam and is thrown around with ease by the Egyptian. Venom is tough however and he continues to fight back. Venom attacks Hossam's legs and lower back as the announcers explain that Venom likes to finish matches with the Sting in The Tail, a sharpshooter variation. </p><p> </p><p> Venom finally manages to tie Hossam's legs but the champion easily rolls through and locks on an armbar. Venom frantically tries to scramble to the ropes but he leaves himself open and Hossam transitions to the Camel Clutch and from this there is no escape. Venom struggles on for twenty seconds but the pain is too much and he taps out!
