1. Sucks to hear about NOTBPW and CGC. 2 of my favorite promotions and what got me into Cverse back in 2008 days.
 2. I recommend trying a Cverse game if you never have. The game runs so much smoother with Cverse than a Real World mod
 3. The most successful random tag team I ever made was Logan Wolfsbaine & Ernest Youngman. These two started off in my developmental company and were randomly thrown together by the AI. When I called them both up I called them up as a jobber tag team. They spent 6 months jobbing out, gaining popularity and skills. All of the sudden I looked and they were two of my better workers on the roster even though they were 2 of the youngest. I decided to run with it and start pushing them a little. Both took off immediately. Within 6 more game time months they were upper mid card act and 2 of the top 5 workers overall on the roster. I finally gave them the tag titles and let them run with it for a good year. After another 6 months or so I split them up and they had a hot feud.
 4.

Thanks for the observation. The tl:dr is that there are 21 active CVerse wrestlers with "excellent" psych scores, all of them are above 40 years old save for Angry Gilmore & Tommy (both 37) and Raven Nightfall (39). There's only 11 in RWC, but that is really due to these lines from Derek_B's mod-making guide:

So, it's intentionally a little lower in the mod than it would be in say a late-80's/early 90's mod as people on the whole seem to be less inclined to tell a story and more inclined to "get their stuff" in during the match.

The above said, if you look at the big 3 US companies in the CVerse, they break out to "excellent" psych the following ways:

SWF - 1 person (Gilmore)

TCW - 2 people (Hill & Vessey)

USPW - 3 people (Caulfield, Nightfall, Money)

So it's not like the CVerse is blowing the doors off with a ton more psych at the top end. Taker is firmly there in the mod, as is Christopher Daniels, with AJ also knocking on the door.

It's not perfect by any means, and bumping up a couple veterans a little higher in the psych department is on my long list of things to do for future iterations. My usual caveat of 2,800+ worker stats to wrangle, moving target of keeping the rest of the mod up to date, etc... notwithstanding.

As to Billy Gunn, yeah, that's too high on him. Will be dropped for July.

Hope that helps.

I appreciate the response. Again I want to thank you for all your work in the mod. I was just looking to understand how the stats come about.

 5.
So I haven't played a Real World game since maybe TEW08? I just always find the data sets to be too imbalanced. However I have had the urge lately to play a real world mod so I started to check this one out. I have a question that going to come off whinny. I highly appreciate the work that goes into these mods as it is a ton. I have made some smaller from scratch mods myself and understand the crazy amount of work.

So I was looking through a lot of stats. One thing that stood out to me was the low Psychology rating of the WWE guys. Looking at a comparison of the top guys in Cverse compared to the top guys in this mod I was thrown off by some of the low Psychology scores. So one that stood out to me was that Billy Gunn has a Psychology of 90 in AEW. This is higher than every single active wrestler in WWE. I've watched wrestling for 30 years and Billy Gunn was a great athlete and good performer I have never really thought of him as having one of the top 20 minds for the business/match calling. Is this simple because Billy Gunn is the Road Agent of AEW and everyone respects him as a great agent so he needs higher psychology score to reflect his ability as a road agent? It's not really reflecting his in ring ability?

For instance if I wanted to book a parent and a child company?

No not in TEW 16

 7. I have no insight but just playing devils advocate here. What if the company was constantly shooting down his ideas? Maybe he wants to be more cutting edge and more "rated r" but they keep shooting down his ideas and making his character more PG. He could just keep getting frustrated over and over to the point he just gives up. It happens. I am not putting the blame on anyone. I think he was off injured and not wrestling for the first time in basically his adult life and realized there is life away from wrestling. He has money in the bank and seems to live a quiet life that will allow that money to stretch. I can see him taking a few years off and then coming back to WWE or I could see him signing with AEW for a couple shows a month or whatever they are going to run. That full time WWE life of basically 5 days a week has to be brutal
 8.

In my diary game I added a protege to my user character to see what happened.

So far, nothing.

Is that because user characters aren't meant to take proteges so there's no mechanic for helping them improve, or is it just because my character isn't an especially nice person, so doesn't get involved with his protege backstage?

Probably the later. In my TCW game I am Cornell and my protege is Wolf Hawkins. Almost every show I pass along tips

 9. Just started a 2005 Cverse game with TCW. So far it is going pretty good. SWF had a ton of free agents come up in the first 6 months and I was able to sign most of them surprisingly. My roster is already getting bloated but it has been fun. I need to transition out some of the older talent here soon
 10. I should know this but is there a way to remove "Simmering Tension" with the user player.
 11.

If you want someone young and cheap to carry promos and help improve other workers on the mic, Garry the Entertainer is very useful.

He developed into a solid worker for me. About 2 years in developmental and then I brought him up to the main roster. I teamed him with Logan Wolfsbaine who was an exceptional worker at this point but no popularity. Garry ended up being mid 80s in basics and psych quickly.

 12. I only book main eventers in some sort of tag matches on the tv shows for the most part. Every once in awhile I will throw in a couple Main Event vs Mid Card for the main event talent that is going to lose at the PPV just to get their momentum up. My top stars usually get 1-2 angles on the show though. I also do quite a bit of guest commentary as it will progress a storyline as well.

 14.
Well my CGC Game is officially cursed. Two month into the game I had Ricky DeColt get a spinal injury. He was out for 12 months. Now I get him back but he is hooked on pain killers.

AND NOW Jack DeColt just got caught with a scandal. He was caught abusing hookers or something. Jack DeColt was my figurehead and World Champion and the most over guy in Canada.

Best part is I can't do anything to either one of them because they are Alex DeColt's brothers and he blocks me from doing anything to them.

Robbie Sanchez just died and the head booker job at USPW is open. So thinking about jumping ship.

Pretty sure I hired her in my SWF save for my team with Logan Wolfsbaine and Ernest Youngman.

I was interested in Samoan Destruction Inc as a team that mostly loses in PGHW. The thing is 1 of them always gets a written deal in 16, luckily that doesn't happy in the 10 mod I am playing.

I have played as both but typically I start as a lower company and build it up. I think thats the best part of the game

 17.

Traditionally when playing as TCW, I bite the bullet, stay on the Pop Network and take the fall to Cult gracefully. I tend to lock myself at Cult and focus on building young talent with lower stakes and cost control. I happily let Rocky, Vessey and some other veterans walk away and invest in guys like Jay Chord, Mighty Mo, Kirk Jameson, Greg Gauge, Darryl Devine, American Demolition, etc.

That said, I just fired up a new game and went for a different, more aggressive approach. I dropped Pop, locked in on USA Sports 1 and America 1-Select, maxed out my production, and going big or going home.

I didn't want to hire Marat Khoklov and slam dunk the National Battles however because I didn't feel like he fit the product. So instead, I signed an agreement with NOTBPW and brought Sean McFly to job to Aaron Andrews at Malice. This got me through January coming in 2nd in the National Battles, but USPW didn't drop. With the start of February, I got nervous and brought in Khoklov. Little disappointed in myself for signing him, but I only signed him for 9 months. Hopefully I can pump up some other guys to carry my National Battles going forward.

I must admit, the more aggressive approach has made this game pretty interesting for me as I usually take a much slower, steadier approach to TCW. Should be an interesting ride.

I think you can use Marat as an attraction and not bastardize your product. I look at Marat like a Brock Lesnar. If used correctly as an attraction he can elevate other workers. One of my favorite things to do is put him in a stable/tag team with a lesser over star like a Roger Cage for example. I run weekly angles based off of Roger's entertainment and Marat's menace or overness. After months of doing this Roger's popularity will sky rocket based on just being around Marat.

One of my favorite things to do in this game is to build up guys that aren't the greatest or don't exactly fit with everyone else. I am notorious for signing bland nothing special guys and trying to push them to the moon.

 18. Started a new game a couple weeks ago. I am playing as CGC this time out. My first ever long term Cverse game back in TEW 2005 was with CGC. The roster was pretty stacked back then. The roster in 2016 is pretty weak. So I have a lot of roster to turn over.

I wonder if someone in the past ever thought of Chase as the C-Verse on screen equivalent of Paul Heyman. Phil Vibert comes first to mind but given the evolution of Emma in TEW 2016, now the parallel could fit even more.

As Codeydbw said I think Vibert is the Cverse interpretation of Heyman. I can't wrap my head around any sort of interpreation from the real world from Emma. The closest thing I can come to is early days Sunny (Tammy Sytch). She ran a business suit bitchy gimmick like Emma in SMW. I know she never really did that in WWF since she was used as more of a diva body girl. In her hey day she was known as a great promo. I think this may be some of the inspiration for Emma.
