Mystery Vortex VII! <hr color = green> Mystery Vortex VII takes place on March 22nd! <hr color = green> Predictions PWG Mystery Vortex VII, 3/22/20 Globe Theatre, Los Angeles, CA Card will not be announced in advance! The main event will be a singles match. It may or may not be for the PWG World Heavyweight Title. Guess the participants and the winner. One point for each correct guess. The semi-main event is a three-way match. Guess the participants and the winner. One point for each correct guess. A UK-based talent makes their PWG debut on this show. Guess who it is. How many title matches will there be? Zero, one, or two?

  4. PWG Betrayed in the Pentagon results! <div style="background-color:#24783F;color:#000000;border-style:solid;border-width:3px";"> </div> PWG was back in action with Betrayed in the Pentagon in front of another sold-out crowd at the Globe Theatre in mesmerizing Los Angeles, CA. The show ended with a series of three singles matches between arguably the top six wrestlers in PWG right now. REY FENIX handed Jeff Cobb a loss in an incredible bout with his FENIX Driver. His fellow Lucha Bro, PENTA EL ZERO M, hit David Starr with a Driver of his own Pentagon variety to put him down, and in our main event, Bandido pinned Jonathan Gresham with the 21 Plex to officially add a v2 defense to his reign and to defeat both of his fellow BOLA 2019 finalists. Wearing a mask must have been good luck on this night as the luchadors once again reigned supreme. <hr color=green> <img src=" https://i.imgur.com/3MT757r.jpg" style="border:darkred 4px solid;" /> PWG Betrayed in the Pentagon, 2/22/20 Globe Theatre, Los Angeles, CA 782 Fans - SELL OUT! Show Rating: C- Aramis defeated Flamita in 12:54 with La Estocada D Little lucha opener to get everyone going. Nothing too crazy. Perhaps an upset win here for Aramis. Black Taurus defeated Rey Horus in 10:30 with the Infernal Suplex D See above. The first win for Black Taurus in a while. He is pegged by many to be one of the next big lucha stars. Time will tell. Brody King defeated Darby Allin and Mick Moretti in 13:51 when King used the Gonzo Bomb on Moretti D+ A step up from the first two matches, but still nothing crazy. Interesting dynamic between these three. Nice win for Brody. Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent?) defeated LAX (Ortiz & Santana) in 14:43 when Taylor pinned Ortiz after the Strong Zero C Very solid tag team action. That's two straight for the Best Friends, who might be eyeing a PWG World Tag Team Title shot down the line. REY FENIX defeated Jeff Cobb in 17:36 with the Fenix Driver B- Great match. FENIX is one of the best in the world and put on a clinic with Cobb. Cobb is 2-1 after dropping the belt and this is his first loss since getting pinned by Bandido. Maybe he has a tough time wrestling luchadors? PENTA EL ZERO M defeated David Starr in 16:52 with the Pentagon Driver B- Many parallels to the previous match. Lucha Bro defeats non-masked opponent in a great match with their Driver finisher. Funny how things work out sometimes. Starr is 0-2 after a huge win over Marty Scurll at ASW 15, so wonder what's next for him. <img src="https://i.imgur.com/KJHMM9s.jpg" style="border: #000000 4px double;" /> PWG World Heavyweight Title: Bandido © defeated Jonathan Gresham in 19:46 with the 21 Plex (2nd defense) C+ A tad disappointing considering the quality of wrestlers in the match, but in no way bad. Perhaps they had a hard time following the back-to-back great matches that preceded them. Either way, Bandido has made it through both of his fellow BOLA finalists, and is going to be open for new challengers. FENIX and PENTA are at the top of the heap now, but as tag champions, it's unclear if they are going to be able to shift their focus to Bandido for a singles challenge. There may be a challenger or two lurking in the shadows, and we all know Bandido is a fighting champion. <hr color=green> Predictions Atticus - 6/7 (you really know exactly how I book these things!) Hollywood - 5/7 alpha2117 - 4/7 Leohunter - 4/7 DGenerationMC - 3/7 olivertaylor276 - 3/7 joshbrady91 - 2/7 Aurora - 1/7
  5. Yeah so for my big shows I just put them on Samurai! PPV. It generated huge amounts of cash for me. And that is odd. I'd double check to see his position in the company and see what the owner's business preferences are for roster size and everything. It's hard to simulate but even IRL they don't wrestle multiple matches per week, so you might have to just bite the bullet and manually adjust the skills when you want them to return from excursion. An overall tip - there are some things that happen in the real world that just can't be emulated right in TEW. Don't be afraid to go in the in-game editor and mess around to fix things you think need to be fixed.
  6. I don't really remember how I had my game set up, but my network thing was working. I had a tour highlights TV show on TV Asahi, put my big events as Pay Per View on Samurai!, and did most of my other "Road To" shows on NJPW World, which should be set up as a streaming service and not a PPV carrier. I don't remember running into the "one carrier per region" rule you mention, so I'd double check all of the information in Broadcasters in the in-game editor to see if your database has it right. My calendar was made up entirely of "events". I booked everything as an "event", whether it was Wrestle Kingdom or a "Road To" show. I limited my "Road To"'s to small buildings and threw them on NJPW World or even forwent broadcasting them entirely. I kept my schedule as "touring", and just changed my active months on the 1st of every month so I was "touring" every single month. That let me keep the tour highlights show running on TV Asahi w/o me booking for it. You're gonna have to eat the losses for young lions if you want to do it right. The best thing to do is to enter the game as the owner of CMLL or RevPro and sign them to a contract and hope the AI books them after you erase that new player. Pop into the editor to give their popularity a boost (I mean, Shota Umino is more popular globally than like half of RevPro's regular roster) and then they should pop up on the shows. Creating a new brand and everything could work but it is a lot of extra time. You could keep running LION'S GATE shows as real NJPW seemed to stop that, but it was a good way to book young lions in fun matches without much pressure before they go on excursion. tl;dr you should have 3 broadcast deals and you should just use the editor to boost young lions so they get booked
  7. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Bigpapa42" data-cite="Bigpapa42" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47075" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>If it impacts each individual match, the Dirt Sheet will tell you. But its not the matches that suffer - its the show. So you might run matches that should get you a C grade, but the production penalty drops it to a C-. As long as that still grows the company, that's not too problematic.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I have the dirt sheet turned off so I should fix that. I might just bite the bullet and pay for better production so my matches aren't impacted.</p>
  8. How do the production penalties (the fact that my rivals are using a better live event set-up/music/presentation) affect match rating? It seems like the best match I can have is a B-, but I am not sure if that is because of these penalties since it says they only affect the "overall show grade". I am running a PWG game and they are know for their low-budget, punk rock style production, so I am fine taking the penalty for my overall show, but I am unsure if it's effecting the rating of each match. Thanks!

I like Cobb a lot, but he seems to have slowed down a bit momentum-wise and Bandido gives me a ton of fresh matches for the title - Bandido vs. David Starr, vs. PENTA, vs. FENIX, vs. Janela, vs. someone from AEW...all could be really, really good. 18. That's fair. I am all for you going about things in a creative way, because NJPW can be a little formulaic and boring. But if you want it to be as realistic as possible, that's a different approach. Most of the big matches for WK14 are either officially set or informally set - we are going to get Okada vs. Ibushi and White vs. Naito on Night 1, and then Okada vs. Naito on Night 2 with Naito winning both belts, and Naito vs. Tanahashi as his first big title defense. NJPW can sometimes be extremely predictable because the stories are so detailed and lengthy that you can sometimes see the conclusions before they happen. If Shibata comes back, it is going to be vs. KENTA, since they started hinting at that feud during the G1. I can't see PAC in NJPW any time soon either, especially since there isn't really an AEW deal in place. I'd be all for it, but I can't see it happening. Again, just offering some constructive criticism if you are going for the most realistic game possible. If you just wanna wing it and do some fantasy booking, I'm all for that too as it can be a bit of a slog to get through the big NJPW matches when the real-world outcomes are so easily predictable. And NJPW definitely has a clear heel/face divide, so that's something I'd certainly fix.
  19. Definitely an interesting card. NJPW is historically averse to three way matches, let alone one for the main event of the Tokyo Dome and with a Jr. Heavyweight thrown in. And while I'd love to see Morishima back, I think that is a long shot as he both has legal troubles and severe diabetes from what I've read. He seemed pretty loyal to NOAH as well. Otherwise, I like the card a lot. Some pretty interesting match ups. I'll definitely be reading along. My predictions: IWGP Heavyweight Championship Match: © Kazuchika Okada of CHAOS Vs Kota Ibushi Vs Hiromu Takahashi of Los Ingobernables de Japon. 20. Thanks for the replies and predictions! Should have some shows up this weekend. Any feedback on the format? Trying to stick with my old NJPW style, but trying to keep it clean and simulate the PWG style of just tweeting out a big list of matches for their shows.

  23. Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG) is an American independent professional wrestling promotion that is run by wrestlers themselves as it was created by Southern California wrestlers Disco Machine, Excalibur, Scott Lost, Joey Ryan, Super Dragon, and Top Gun Talwar. Since then, Disco, Talwar and Lost have retired and left the company. Since 2007, Excalibur has been the head play-by-play commentator, with a rotation of wrestlers on color commentary. The promotion debuted on July 26, 2003, and is known for its unique mixes of humor and professional wrestling as well as their over the top press releases and show titles, such as Kee_ The _ee Out of Our _ool!, Free Admission (Just Kidding), Straight to DVD, Steen Wolf, Black Cole Sun, From Parts Well Known, Matt Rushmore, and Head Like a Cole. In 2016, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter called PWG "the best wrestling in North America". Pro Wrestling Guerrilla has become famous for its non-mainstream, "punk rock" business outlook. Co-owners Excalibur and Super Dragon are responsible for all behind-the-scenes details: Excalibur is a graphic designer and creates website and DVD cover artwork; Super Dragon has been the sole booker since 2010, along with editing shows and composing YouTube previews. <hr color = green> <hr color = green> Results 2019 - All Star Weekend 15, Night 1, 12/21/19, 782 fans @ Globe Theatre, Los Angeles, CA, D+ - All Star Weekend 15, Night 2, 12/22/19, 782 fans @ Globe Theatre, Los Angeles, CA, D+ 2020 - Here Comes Another One, 1/12/20, 782 fans @ Globe Theatre, Los Angeles, CA, C- - Betrayed in the Pentagon, 2/22/20, 782 fans @ Globe Theatre, Los Angeles, CA, C- - Mystery Vortex VII, 3/22/20, 782 fans @ Globe Theatre, Los Angeles, CA, C - How to Survive a Pandemic, 4/17/20, 782 fans @ Globe Theatre, Los Angeles, CA, C <hr color=green> All-Time Prediction Rankings 1.
