My first few shows are very middle-of-the-road house shows, but my 5th one is a fun little Korakuen Hall show that I will post a prediction card for once I reveal the next few shows. I learned a while ago that doing predictions for every single show on a touring company like BJW is tough. Most shows will be presented like this - <a href="http://purolove.com/" rel="external nofollow">PuroLove style</a> - and my "televised" shows will be longer with images and more detail. Hope you guys continue to read along!</div></blockquote><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="vImwwTh.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/vImwwTh.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p>
  2. In BJW's case, light tubes are a mere afterthought. They usually have 300 Light Tube Death Matches. They just had a 567 Light Tube Death Match. Guys take huge bundles and break them over their own heads to show fighting spirit. They smash huge bundles on the mat and then chain wrestle on top. They are treated like a minor inconvenience at best.

Seeing as a light tube match is a standard match + the added danger of light tubes...<p> </p><p> That's the only flaw in your argument. The rest is sound.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I should have clarified. I mean a standard Japanese-style main event with head drops and everything. That is just about as dangerous when it comes to injury risk as a light tube.</p><p> </p><p> I am fine admitting light tubes cause <em>some</em> form of injury, but I don't know if the game engine parses this out. Cuts and lacerations that can cause a few days harm is fine, but a universal injury risk is extreme.</p>
  4. Roster is done! Took longer than I thought. Lucky it ended up in three packs of 15, although T-Hawk might be a heavyweight moving forward. EDIT - yes, T-Hawk is not a junior so changed it up. My perfect balance could unfortunately not last.
  5. lol maybe I should try to figure out some ways to simulate that. Certainly one of the most annoying parts of being a BJW fan

  8. Big Japan Pro-Wrestling is a promotion established on December 21, 1994 by Shinya Kojika, who was a former All Japan Pro Wrestling and WAR wrestler. He was joined soon after by Kendo Nagasaki, Hirokazu Taniguchi, and Ryuji Yamakawa and the promotion would be a mix of standard wrestling and the growing form of hardcore styles. Following the steps set by Frontier Martial Arts Wrestling, they would become known as the place to go to see some of the bloodiest matches ever seen. <hr color = orangered> Results Orange shows feature full-write ups. 2020 August - BJW, 8/1/20 (Afternoon), 350 fans @ Yokohama Radiant Hall, 44 - BJW, 8/1/20 (Night), 350 fans @ Yokohama Radiant Hall, 37 - BJW, 8/2/20 (Afternoon), 115 fans @ New Pacific Transport Co. 9. Apologies for posting in the wrong forum, forgot we have a suggestions one.
  10. A cut on your back is not an "injury" as the game defines them (something that prevents a wrestler from working or hampers their performance). In the last 5+ years of death matches that I can recall, there's only been one real bad injury and it was from a guy taking a bump on a SCISSORS BOARD. He's back 6 months later and doing light tubes death matches literally every time he wrestles. Like I said, the guys most famous for light tubes death matches have been doing them on a very regular basis, with no major injury, for 20+ years. Unfortunately, the game mechanic in this case does not line up with reality. And no, if you check off "light tubes" it defaults to very high injury risk, which is why I am asking for the change in the first place.
  11. This makes booking death match promotions very hard. Light tube death matches are deceptively safe. The wounds are all superficial and the guys who have done the most (Ryuji Ito, Abdullah Kobayashi, Jun Kasai) have been doing them for 20+ years, at least once a month at the least, with no long term injuries as a result (just insane scars). Content risk I understand, but there is only a slightly increased injury risk for a light tube match in comparison to a standard match. Lowering it to low or average (higher than a normal match) is much more realistic. I hope this can be taken into consideration and changed as light tubes are all smoke and mirrors and used by smaller death match promotions to look dangerous but their history in pro-wrestling shows they are not.
  12. Hi, I am playing as BJW and their default match aim always sets to deathmatch. Can I change this?
  13. Thank you! I also did a few logos recently, and I changed the default "no title belt" pic to something that blends in a tiny bit better with this pack. Also, made a few more belts/logos as I am working with QuestLove to maybe add some of this to RWC Database. 2AW Openweight 2AW Tag Team 666 Chaos Undecided Freedom Title IRON FIST Tag Team (used by BASARA) Union Pro MAX (used by BASARA) King of FREEDOMS World
  14. Awesome. Sent you a friend request. I built up the promotions and I ended up adding 666, 2AW, JTO, Michinoku, Osaka, BASARA, FREEDOMS, and Real Japan. All using contracts for guys that are already in the database, so it only adds those 8 records, and a few titles. I find it makes for a much better game if you have a pool of free agents who are at least working a little bit here and there, and having these smaller companies adds a lot of depth to the Japanese scene.
  15. Hey, I am looking to use this database for a BJW game and there are some changes I am going to make and can relay to you as there's some information that's off about the roster and roles they have. Also, you are missing a lot of small yet important Japanese indy companies - FREEDOMS, 2AW, BASARA, 666, and others. Would you be interested in adding these? Most of their rosters are in the game already, and anything to give unemployed wrestlers gigs is worth adding in my opinion. Do you have a discord or somewhere to chat? I would love to help out with the Japanese indy companies as there is definitely a lot that could be added and improved. Let me know what you think. Thank you.
  16. Hey so I am thinking of making a BJW game and made some pictures in advance. Titles: BJW Ikkitousen Death Match Survivor BJW Saikyou Tag League Referee Mac Takeda Referee Ryohei Nakatani Deleted my other posts, I was stupidly using 1.0. Much better cuts were in 1.1. Thanks again
  17. Hey, I am preparing to do a BJW game and am going through their roster and noticed some things you might want fix for the next release. Deathmatch Attribute - most of the deathmatch wrestlers are missing the deathmatch attribute which is going to make booking BJW very hard for anyone who tries without fixing this. The following guys should have it: Abdullah Kobayashi Drew Parker Isami Kodaka Jaki Numazawa Kankuro Hoshino Masashi Takeda Masaya Takahashi Minoru Fujita (freelancer who should be given a BJW handshake deal in game) Ryuichi Sekine (another feelancer who should be added to their roster) Ryuji Ito Takayuki Ueki Takumi Tsukamoto Toshiyuki Sakuda Yuki Ishikawa Yuko Miyamoto In addition to Fujita and Sekine, they should have handshake deals with Fuminori Abe, Koju Takeda, and Quiet Storm. Masato Inaba and CIMA do not work there any longer. Also, a lot of their homegrown wrestlers are missing the loyalty to BJW as true borns. This is very important for a Japanese indy as it is the only thing (I am assuming) that prevents companies like DG and NJPW from raiding them (which is pretty much how it works IRL). The following are homegrown BJW guys who should have loyalty to them with true born status: Abdullah Kobayashi Akira Hyodo Atsushi Ohashi Daisuke Sekimoto Hideyoshi Kamitani Jaki Numazawa Kazuki Hashimoto Kazumi Kikuta Kosuke Sato (BJW young lion you can easily add) Kota Sekifuda Masaki Morihiro Ryuichi Kawakami Ryuji Ito Takayuki Ueki Takuho Kato Takuya Nomura Toshiyuki Sakuda Yuichi Taniguchi Yuji Okabayashi Yuki Ishikawa Yuya Aoki Sekimoto and Okabayashi are involved in the training and should probably be future road agents or something like that. Gimmicks aren't as important there so I am not sure what to add for that. Otherwise, amazing job. Most comprehensive database I have ever seen in TEW. Hats off to you.
  18. Out of character! A little out of context post here, but I just figured out how to use GIMP pretty well tonight and am finally able to come up with some of my own graphics. An upset of sorts for Starr here, as many expected Lee to come in with a bang and get a huge win right off the bat. A night of surprises ended with a wild duel between the Lucha Bros, as PENTA EL ZERO M and REY FENIX battled in one of the best PWG matches in recent memory (and the best match of this journal so far). REY FENIX came out on top after a vicious Black Fire Driver. Brody King won a three-way match in the semi-main event, defeating two recent challengers to Bandido's PWG World Heavyweight Title. He's certainly in line for a shot. Speaking of Bandido, The Most Wanted himself was given a much needed night off, while his MexaBlood partner defeated the debuting Michael Oku, better known as The OJMO, an up-and-coming UK talent out of RevPro. David Starr got back to his winning ways, picking up a critical win over Darby Allin. </p><p> <hr color=green></p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><img src="</p><a href="https://i.imgur.com/PhfjPAG.jpg" rel="external nofollow">https://i.imgur.com/PhfjPAG.jpg"</a> style="border:indigo 4px solid;" /><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="color:#008000;">PWG Mystery Vortex VII</span></strong>, 3/22/20</p><p> Globe Theatre, Los Angeles, CA</p><p> 782 Fans - <strong><em><span style="color:#FFD700;">SELL OUT!</span></em></strong></p><p> Show Rating: <strong><span style="color:#FFD700;">C</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Ci24e76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Ci24e76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="cf5Z2ho.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cf5Z2ho.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="8xZbfUt.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8xZbfUt.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Black Taurus defeated Jungle Boy in 12:53 with the Infernal Suplex <strong><span style="color:#FFA500;">D-</span></strong></p><p> <em><span style="font-size:8px;">Fun opener, nothing crazy. As you obviously know, a lot of people are working from home in light of this COVID-19 scenario. I'm one of them. I am fortunate enough to be young and healthy so I'm mostly playing video games and watching wrestling. With NJPW on hiatus, I've gotten back into my PWG shows and wanted to return to this game. Hope you are all able to do the same and are staying safe!<p> </p><p> Not a particularly crazy show to dive back with, as I really didn't do anything too wild with the AEW guys. Looking at what real-life PWG is doing, the focus seems to be more on the up-and-coming guys, while the AEW crew (Lucha Bros, Janela, Allin, etc.) haven't been around since BOLA. Not too sure where to go in the game, but I have some ideas and am hoping you read along more.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <img alt="XrY8g8E.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/XrY8g8E.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p>
  24. Exactly. When I was booking, I tended to just eat the loss and book venues that they would IRL. It made those big Tokyo Dome shows or Osaka Jo-Hall ones much more exciting for me lol.
  25. Cool show. I'd long for the day NJPW draws 25,000 to a show in the US. Interesting angle between Lee and Hiromu too. They are best friends IRL so it is crazy to see them nearly murder each other every time they wrestle.
