  1. Cro Cop vs. Nelson at 137. Hope I'm very wrong but my gut reaction is that Nelson will KO him in the first round and send him packing.
  2. Very good for Davis, very bad for Rashad. At least this will establish a true number one contender now. But I'll be pulling for Rashad as I still really want to see him fight Jones. Comment on MMAfighting said Tito turned it down because he's on a monumental drinking binge, cited twitter as a source or something
  3. Does that include winning a fight until a man wraps his legs around his neck, which does not count as winning?
  4. http://www.mmafighting.com/2011/07/07/backstage-with-chael-sonnen/ Without a doubt the greatest interview of all time.
  5. Yeah, don't think he can say much as far as the military side of things goes, it'll be a "I love you that's why I have to kill you" type of thing. Maybe.
  6. Chael Sonnen vs. Brian Stann. My oh my. Surely the winner of that gets a title shot? Surprised they've thrown Stann in that direction to be honest, but fair enough. On another note, Charles Oliveira vs. Joe Lauzon = hell yes.
  7. lol and while champion they put him over Cena in the main event of wrestlemania, I think that's a bigger clue
  8. With the suggestion of further Cena intervention aside I love the Punk winning -> MITB cash in idea. Agree that McIntyre would've been amazing but it'll have to be Del Rio really, then he can be Vince's boy in a feud with Cena for Summerslam. Would work so well, and I'd take Punk losing immediately just for the pop when he did get the win. Think I'm actually gonna be disappointed if this doesn't happen now lol. Can really envisage it, kinda like when Edge cashed in on Cena, "this man is cashing in his money in the bank privelege..." Punk going out as a mega face all of a sudden.
  9. To be fair even if Bader isn't that great and what it therefore doesn't say about Tito, he still smashed him quicker than Jonny Bones did, meaning he ought to get a title shot
  10. And their respective results against Tito do not reflect how I'd expect that fight to go. That fight makes perfect sense IMO.
  11. Want to see Guillard vs. Miller if he beats Henderson personally, and vs. Guida if Miller loses that fight.
  12. First of all - CONDIT. Yes yes yes. Has to get a title shot now IMO. Loved Tito winning as well. Found the main event frustrating. The only way I can see myself liking Cruz is if he just embraces the boos from the fans and becomes some kind of little man mega-heel. As it is he epitomises what I find frustrating with the lighter weight classes, not looking to finish and barely even hurting his opponents. Faber should have had a couple of rounds and I wouldn't mind a rematch.
  13. Any way to get these prelims in the UK? Saw the twitter say UFC.TV but all that's saying for me is that the stream has finished. edit; unless you have to pay, and I haven't. And if you do, then **** that, stupid ESPN. edit 2; Sotiropoulous being KO'd by Dos Anjos, lollll
  14. Love the promo. A step further than Styles a few years ago, I cannot believe some of the stuff he said particularly about after Vince is dead, brilliantly delivered. Spoilers re: next week The Punk promo was good, but I cannot WAIT to see this Cena/Vince confrontation. Glad I spoiled it because otherwise I wouldn't have watched it. If you read the way in which it's done, the "Cena being fired" angle makes perfect sense.
  15. To be fair I thought that should've been stopped as well, and would've liked the fight more if it had been I see your point though, it's happening a lot atm.
  16. Thing is one of the arguments I've often seen in the "MMA is safer than boxing" discussions is that in boxing fighters can get dazed and get a chance to recover and take further damage. Kongo may have recovered very quickly but he was still rocked badly twice and the damage from those blows remained. Had he not hit a huge punch out of nothing there'd have been questions over why the ref allowed him to take further damage. My main irk is that the ref charged in and then changed his mind because he couldn't stop Barry, or at least that's how it seemed. Once your hand is on a fighter and you effect them like that you have to go through with the stoppage.
  17. Just saw Kongo/Barry after falling asleep last night, crazy fight but the ref praise is ridiculous, he tries to stop the fight, fails and just lets it carry on. That's another one that ought to have been stopped, but the comeback was awesome.
  18. And yet I think I'd rather every fight was done like that
  19. Yeah the Who vid is on youtube, very popular, they should play it actually on TV. Morecraft looked out cold for a second there. A lot of fights actually not being stopped quick enough for my liking atm. edit; I f'ing love Mitrione. A few weeks ago Helwani read out a tweet I sent on his show to Mitrione saying I'd never seen him fight but he was becoming one of my favourite fighters, now I have and he still is =D
  20. Would that be something they could have known about for a while and asked him to solve though? As it seems they heard about it weeks ago, he led them on, but they still had Brenneman in reserve.
  21. Love J-Lau. A lot of fighters I really like on this card actually, and it's been a great event so far apart from the shame about the Oliveira finish.
  22. Has to be a rematch either way. Man I love Oliveira.
  23. Awesome Lentz/Oliveira fight tarnished by a huge mistake by a ref missing an illegal knee.
