  1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KtY7k1kgmrw He was so over then. So many golden promos. Anyone who said after he lost the title "he was never championship material" clearly forgot about this era.

That put a target on my back, and later that day the biggest kid in the school put my in the Walls of Jericho. All my Pokemon cards fell out of my pocket <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/cool.png.f00d2562b2c1d873a09323753efdb041.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> That and the only real fight I ever had got broken up before anything decisive, fairly sure a draw was the best I could've hoped for though. Leaves my record at 1-1-1, with around 100 no contests against my brother.</p>
  3. As a 170lb guy with no experience in any martial art I am by no means accepting the challenge, but I can definitely see the appeal and intend to maybe do some muay thai/jui jitsu next year. The gym where I go now is tiny but has a boxing ring, the guys in there do not look like the sort I'd want to start anything with though There's pictures of Dan Hardy and Carl Froch actually in the gym on the wall, would seem they've trained there at some point.
  4. Mayhem and Bisping on TUF. I know nothing about Mayhem as a fighter but this is surely not a fight that can earn Bisping a title shot.

There's no way they're reducing it from an odds perspective....</p><p> </p><p> ...unless, of course, they know something we don't and Struve is hurt.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> The thing is, as it's not one of the bigger fights the odds likely haven't been up for very long at all. This week at most. So not sure about how much time there's been for a lot of money to come in.</p><p> </p><p> There is another possibility: they're just wrong. I'm sure they have people who know what they're talking about but I've seen some strange UFC odds there before. It's the same at other bookies, which is very confusing, but maybe they're counting on him standing and getting KO'd. I'm gonna count on that not happening and put a few quid on anyways <img alt=":o" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/redface.png.900245280682ef18c5d82399a93c5827.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  7. Just saw on Sky Bet that Travis Browne is the favourite against Stefan Struve. Seems pretty crazy to me, Browne looked alright against Kongo but Struve has so much more experience already and keeps improving, he could get caught be he's survived a hell of a beating before.
  8. Oh I didn't mean in terms of fighting, just the way lately he himself seems to become the story in his interviews xD As 130 nears I've realised that I have nothing else to do and the champion's league final beforehand meaning I'm going to be out and then almost certainly end up watching this live. Should be entertaining enough even without EM3.
  9. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Pokerking88" data-cite="Pokerking88" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="26660" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>The TUF episode tonight was very nice. I thought it was good, but I lost a ****-load of respect for Tony saying that to Charlie.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Agreed on both counts. This series started very slowly but has really picked up both in and out of the cage in the last few episodes. Hard to see past a Ramsey/Tony final, they have been so much better than everyone they've fought, but would love Chuck to give it a real go against Tony.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> On another note, Ariel Helwani's interview with Rampage is pretty funny. That man is bringing gonzo journalism to MMA.</p>
  10. <p>I wouldn't mind if they lightened Orton up. For me it began at least a little bit with him doing his pose at WrestleMania. The thing is if they did they could easily just have him snap and bring back the Viper the moment it looked like it wasn't working out. Seems worth trying to make him more of an all-round babyface one more time, just for the hell of it.</p><p> </p><p> With that said, it was probably just a one time piss-take and nothing's going to change.</p>
  11. Doesn't look like it for now as GSP vs. Diaz is likely to be confirmed for December soon. If he wins that emphatically then maybe, but he won't finish it, the same things will be said and he just doesn't want to fight him.
  12. <p>Yeah. And unfortunately it's looking much worse than if he'd just accepted the initial ban. </p><p> </p><p> Wonder who Bisping gets now.</p>
  13. <p>The first meeting where he had his suspension reduced the commission made themselves look like idiots because most of them had no idea who he was or what he'd done. Now, I get the impression they're overcompensating. </p><p> </p><p> Absolutely gutted he won't be fighting Bisping, thought that was a huge fight that Bisping could win and I really don't see who else they've got for TUF now.</p>

I tried from both my cell and my house line. That's why I looked the number up online.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Alternatively, do some more research, go to his house and kick his dog. At least then you won't have had an earful for nothing. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/cool.png.f00d2562b2c1d873a09323753efdb041.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Break it down and separate.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> lol apologies.</p><p> </p><p> Jones pulls out of fight with Rashad to take time to heal an injury that he's had since college. Davis vs. Rashad made.</p><p> </p><p> Jones reveals he's now decided against surgery and is ready to fight again, but Rashad will still be fighting Davis, so there's talk of Jones vs. Rampage if Rampage beats Hamill.</p><p> </p><p> And apparently he and Rashad are still at <a href="http://www.fightersonlymagazine.co.uk/news/viewarticle.php?id=6826" rel="external nofollow">each other's throats</a>, and it all seems rather over the top.</p>
  16. So what the hell is actually going on with this whole Jones situation? He's decided not to take time off, but isn't going to fight Rashad, so might end up fighting Rampage even if Rashad wins? All seems a bit much.
  17. Yeah. I didn't see the Batista one last year but his one with Orton at Breaking Point 09 was superbly done. But the I Quit match really suit Orton's character as well, harder when it's Miz to have him conduct some kind of torture session, it'll be the same kind of thing just not as effective.
  18. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="MichiganHero" data-cite="MichiganHero" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25169" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>When did Over The Limit turn into the I Quit spectacle? Because first Batista and now The Miz against Cena in an I Quit match is some <em>really</em> inventive booking.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Turn into it? Last year was the first one. So it seems that is what this has as the gimmick, fits the name anyway.</p>
  19. I really hope Brock makes a recovery. Would love to see him back in the octagon but health has to be the priority. Can't really see him putting himself in a position where he can't do some sort of physical/competitive thing for a living though. This summer's main events have really been torn apart.
  20. Also I loved the awkwardly long handshake he and Dana had. Wonder who it was who was holding on xD
  21. Yeah I know. My take on the whole situation with him vs. Chuck was that Len did fight hard, but he fought hard and lost...Chuck had less of a chance to do his thing. But Javier was just a waste of the slot, guess they wanted to go for one from each team. Either way I'm glad there's actually been some finishes in the last couple of episodes even though this week's fight wasn't that great.
  22. Edgar/Maynard is off as BOTH guys are injured. That really sucks.
  23. With Kennedy, even after everything else he got MITB and announced he would cash it in for a Mania title shot the next year, but I think it was a botched move on Orton that was the final straw? Seems counter-productive. He's turned him not being on TV into an angle in itself, I like to think they're just waiting for the right time to bring him in properl for a feud, or to start building him, rather than having him be a constant presence with no momemtum at all.
  24. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="juggaloninjalee" data-cite="juggaloninjalee" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25169" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Were we thinking this way when Austin was always winning in the late 90s and stunning everyone left and right? I sure wasn't. I loved it and still do.<p> </p><p> What about when Hogan was beating everyone left and right in the late 80s and early 90s? I loved that too.</p><p> </p><p> Now is Cena's turn. In 10 years it will be a new guy.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Austin won his first WWE title in 1998 and last in 2001. Rock lasted a similarly brief period of time, due to injuries and other pursuits respectively. What's alarming about Cena is that it's already been 6 years of him as the main guy...only Hogan is comparable.</p><p> </p><p> Part of it is down to basically a whole generation of stars not materialising; Lesnar, the other big name of the Cena/Batista 2002 debuting crop, didn't last long and after that, basically anybody they tried to push around 05/06 (Carlito, Kennedy, Lashley, MVP) didn't work out, and only Edge rose properly to the top.</p>
