1. Apparently the cut went fine and that's not it.
2. Something drug related perhaps? Or maybe he was just really pissed off that Nate came in too heavy after saying he could make welter. He already wasn't in his good books after the Okami fight but there must be a big catalyst.
3. I mean, if it is that, could he not even safely cut to like 175 and take a pay cut?
4. The shadiness of this Gina Carano injury thing, I don't know anything about her so this is pure speculation but just based on the feel of things, but maybe it's an abortion?
5. That's the worst fight I've ever seen. Never going to watch Werdum fight again. I don't really blame Overeem though, he fought sensibly and made his opponent look stupid even if he didn't knock him out. Plus, I think it's a good thing that the hype may slightly dip a little on Overeem going into his next fight.
6. Werdum to deliberately get dropped and win by triangle Seriously hope for good things from Overeem though. I've never watched him fight live before but I've watched a bit of The Reem and he just seems like a very cool guy, easy to get behind and would make for some huge matches if he moved to UFC.
7. Also feel like last night was a good example of the case for three rounds over five. Two more and Carwin's cut might have got worse and he could have got seriously hurt, then nobody would be praising Herb Dean. Sometimes, especially with heavyweights, three rounds tell you all you need to know.
8. I disagree. The two slugfests were enjoyable for what they were but seeing JDS just pick Carwin apart, he's on another level. Really enjoyed it, had it been stopped in the first round it would've been huge but even so JDS maintained it and went the full three again. I enjoyed Kenny/Nunes as well, Florian looked fairly good at 145, he's still not an elite level fighter but cardio wise he was fine, certainly wasn't a bad fight. Really enjoyed the event overall.
9. JDS's boxing is a thing of beauty. Though I feel like that first round was more severe than Carwin vs. Lesnar. He wasn't even moving. And stuff like that surely seems to negate the whole MMA vs. boxing safety point about guys not getting another chance when they've taken a huge blow. Love how he went for takedowns at the end as well. I'd give him the edge over Cain at this point although stamina may become an issue. Either way I am so hyped for that fight, could be a classic, the best looking HW fight since I've been watching for sure.
10. If Einemo had fought Carwin they'd still be scraping his remains from the canvas.
11. This is just embarrassing. Terrible matchmaking. I know it was a late replacement, but damn.
12. Sick KO by Stout. Good to see him not jump on the guy who was clearly out as well.
13. Don't think Carwin necessarily needs to GNP as much as just bash him against the cage like he did Mir.
14.
I like the big numbered events getting 5 round main events for stuff that really matters, but doing it for 2 hour shows on Versus etc as well just seems ill-advised, fights won't always warrant it and it'll distort clarity in terms of who stands where in a division based on how many 5 rounders they've had etc.

As for tonight, growing feeling as it nears that Carwin is gonna KTFO JDS in the first few minutes. I hope I'm wrong though as I really want to see JDS vs. Cain.

15. I think he could, not that he necessarily would. I don't think he'd fight stupid anymore, unless maybe he gets his ass kicked early and just flips. Can't remember fully but didn't Miller get taken down by Charles Oliveira? Different story entirely due to element of surprise, striking etc, but still. Also didn't realise Clay and Melendez had fought before, long time ago though.
16. It's a shame because I think Guida could beat Miller but will probably get murdered by Melendez. And Miller will not be competitive against Edgar or Maynard.
17. Would rather see Guida get a title shot now than Jim Miller, that win is bigger than any of Miller's wins and a shot on the back of beating Pettis makes a lot more sense than one after beating Henderson if Miller manages that. Clay's been exposed before but Miller has already lost to Edgar and Maynard. Was hoping Pettis sunk in that choke mind. Of course, above all that surely this makes the Gilbert Melendez fight much easier to make, now they've opened the floodgates with Diaz. Also, I liked that Tony won just because he was clearly better than everyone else throughout the tournament, and him coming off the show as a renowned ******* could be quite entertaining.
18. Most of them were not, but the two guys in the final were a cut above anyone else and could prove decent. And Chuck O'Neil is cold steel.
19. In terms of roundedness surely Marquart is a viable option if he gets a couple of wins, I'm presuming he hasn't ruled it out on account of teammate man love. He's been outwrestled by bigger guys but would surely pose something of a threat and has the experience to "deserve" it unquestionably.
20. Mainly down to poking him in the eye though. I'm not sure. I don't think it'll be a matter of will being imposed, whoever does beat him (and someone will) it'll be by KO again. Whether that's Silva or a wrestler with good enough boxing or a lucky shot, I don't know.
21. Kos deluded himself into thinking he was the better striker and Shields forgot he was meant to be a wrestler. If one of these newer guys comes in with a game plan that plays to their strengths and at least doesn't self-sabotage, it'll actually make GSP win the fight rather than them just losing it. Still he'd be a huge favourite but there is a reason why they could do more than those two.
22. Still, he's more rounded than anyone GSP's fought since Penn and won't gas.
