Surely "the crew hunting for Nick Diaz" would make for a much more interesting countdown show than the usual ones anyway.
-
Dana sounding confident about the prospects in New York...Jones vs. Rashad in MSG later in the year could be amazing.
-
I completely agree. I want another Triple H heel, someone who can legit run through the roster and still be a coward where it counts... despite HHH's numerous clean wins there's been several times where he's ducked out of a fight. Kurt Angle was also similar.
The only guys who came close to that since then was Orton(age of Orton run) and Umaga. You could arguably say Edge too but his clean wins pale in comparison to his library of cheap wins and heel tactics.
Edge made cheating and weaselness so awesome that it didn't matter though. Rather than being a coward, he had the whole opportunist thing going, to the point that it seemed like he was besting other guys by being so much smarter than them.

Punk brought about what everybody wanted.
Then people started to tire of it.
Jericho the postmodernist will point out the flaws in the way everyone sees everything.
Hopefully he doesn't turn half the audience on Punk in the process xD

I felt like he was kicking fine, especially in the second. He didn't capitalize on a god damn chance. It was crazy to watch. All them knock downs and he didnt try to pounce on Diaz once.
I guess he didn't want to get in a ground battle with him, but I don't see why. Cerrone's no slouch on the ground and can definitely hold his own there.
Yeah that was so annoying. He seemed almost arrogant every time he kicked his legs out but then he just let him up and carried on being punched in the face.

JDS would get up even if Brock took him down. The thing with Overeem is he may find that less easy due to his own size.
-
Talk of Fitch fighting Diaz/Condit winner if he wins seems like madness to me. Beating Johnny Hendricks in no way should earn a title shot and I can't think of any fight I want to see less than Fitch vs. Diaz.
I think Ellenberger should be ahead of him if he beats Sanchez, and depending on when GSP is back Ellenberger vs. Fitch will probably make sense anyway.
-
Very specifically, I think Overeem could make the same mistake Mir did in the second fight; going for a knee in the clinch and getting taken down off of that.
-
As much as I love Brock I think I'm pulling for Reem here...him vs. JDS would be much more interesting than Brock getting mauled by Dos Santos. But when the entrances begin I reserve the right to change my mind xD

For you Xbox Live users out there, you can download the UFC App and watch UFC 141 for free
Is this a one off thing or something they're doing now?

Belfort and Wand coaching brazilian TUF and presumably fighting at the end. Genuinely concerned for Wand's well being in that fight.

Also, I don't give a crap about 125, sorry. Big MMA fan and watch Bellator, DREAM, XFC, whatever's on HDNET but I just dont care about a big enough difference from 125-145. I cant take you seriously as a "worlds top fighter" when there are 7 other divisions who would beat you clearly on size alone (hence the major reason HW's draw so well and Cruz is always go main event). Also I would like to see them build some more 135 and 145 depth first as those divisions don't have many top contenders right now. Also while people make the midget jokes this will get dangerously close to reality. A midget is 4'10 or under, and youre going to have 5'0 guys fighting which is very close to literal midget fighting.
Exactly. Don't care how talented they are, at some point it begins to feel like a freak show. I remember watching Antonio Banuelos and feeling genuinely uncomfortable.
-
More tiny people...I really couldn't care less about flyweights. I already get slightly annoyed sometimes by bantamweights, especially Cruz with his pitter patter, and 125lbs is just a weight where I don't think I give a crap who can beat the other up. Still I'm sure there'll be some crazy stuff to change my mind, but on a base level I care a lot less.

OH. MY. GOD.
Jones just dropping Machida to the floor is the single coolest thing I have seen so far in this sport.
-
"It's my destiny to be champion for many years."
Jones is the ultimate heel. I hope he's right. I think I want to see him fight Rashad more than any other fight out there right now.
Liking Machida's music though xD (and then Jones comes out to Beautiful People...amazing. So casual)

Despite what I said about Mir before, man do I love hearing that man talk. Now it's main event time...every Jones fight feels like such an event in itself.
-
AMAZING mir/nog fight. Just beautiful grappling.
-
That was a perfectly legitimate stoppage! Hilarious from Hominick, what a start to the show. War KZ.
-
Very tempted to go for Nog by TKO just as I did against Schaub, only 10/1 as opposed to 18/1 last time (shows what one win does) but I really don't rate Mir atm.
-
Torres will be back eventually anyway, him vs. either Cruz or Faber is a more interesting fight than pretty much anything else in the division.
So, anyone think that Jones is going to pay for turning down Steven Segal?
-
Dana saying the winner of bisping vs Maia gets the shot after chael/Munoz. They definitely think bisping is going to win...Maia getting a shot at silva or sonnen would pretty much be a disaster, for different reasons. Think bisping definitely has the upper hand, but it won't be easy.
-
Oh man. Well, Diaz vs. Condit is the better fight at at least it's for the interim belt. Gutted for GSP though.
-
Another favourable matchup for Bisping...I suppose he gets the shot at Silva if Chael somehow loses. But if Sonnen does win, is Bisping going to have to face someone else first? Somehow I think they don't want him fighting Anderson
-
I really feel like Chael getting the shot and Bisping/Munoz for the title shot would have worked out well. Instead Chael is going to own Munoz and Bisping is kind of in limbo for a while. Not so sure I want to see him fight Damian Maia or Belfort, for very different reasons.
