  1. <p>Let's be honest Chael is getting the next shot at Anderson and deserves it a lot more based on their first fights and him actually being in the weight class.</p><p> </p><p>

Plus Hendo is going to have to wait behind Rashad to fight Jones. It would hold a certain degree of interest as we've never seen Jones really take a punch and it'd be hard to get Henderson out of there, but if they do fight I think Jones will frustrate, exhaust and then submit him. The size difference would be something to behold as well.</p>

Absolutely amazing fight, the sheer epicness to the point of neither man really being able to stand by the end, such a war.</p><p> </p><p> And it was great to see Wand's chin stand up to some solid shots as well, thought he had the win in him and he didn't disappoint. Rogan's insta-moaning about the stoppage was both misguided and took away from the moment which was a shame.</p>

  4. My god.

I know little of how Dana et al will actually feel about this but I've got a funny feeling it could actually be a very good thing. A huge, early stoppage so that even those with the shortest of attention spans sees it play out and the incredible scene afterwards of two such humble men, JDS crying and receiving the belt...some really memorable scenes.

  5. Kudos to whoever made what had to be a last-minute call and decided to put Guida/Henderson on the FOX portion.

You watching on UFC TV? I have it as well but judging by twitter Fox are actually seeing different things such as a Dana interview and this is just for the internet.

  6. Isn't it amazing how judges 'seeing sense' always seems to coincide with the viewpoint of the person hoping they see sense.

lol I think it fits perfectly, had Guida won it would've been the wrong decision, and he's the sort of fighter who could potentially hypnotise the judges with his weird movement and so on ;)

  7. Someone is going to get KTFO'd. We're not getting a normal KO here; I predict a highlight reel KO.

For Leben/Munoz, I'm picking Leben by TKO. I think Munoz is going to stand and bang with Leben and he'll pay for it.

A normal KO for either of them is highlight reel. Not a huge rumble fan but will be rooting for him here. Hope he takes Belfort out and punches the back of his head for good measure.

Really not amped for the UK card considering I was originally thinking of going, working as well so going to miss it when it's actually on.

Kos threw what, 20 punches after all his smack talk about knocking hiim out? Shields only attempted one real takedown from my account then chose to stand and get punched in the face like Kos, Hardy was content to get laid on.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Tbf though, in the press conference Diaz made a comment, allbeit a sarcastic one, about having earned a beating that he's willing to take, taking his money and going home. Could easily see him getting frustrated on the bottom and losing a bit. However, the possibility that GSP may want to be more aggressive (I really hope this does bring something out of him) is an interesting one.</p>
  9. GSP vs. Diaz...I don't mind the whole wrestlefest possibility, the hype behind it and the possibility that Diaz has really got inside his head is enough to make me very, very excited.

Hope Condit gets a shot as well (and doesn't fight Koscheck) but the one up and comer I really want to see fight Georges is Ellenberger.

  10. Diaz has to fight for the title next IMO. Whether he waits, I dunno, but him vs. anyone else doesn't really make sense right now (given the wrestlefest that is 170) and he likes to stay active, so...I mean seriously, I like the Condit fight as well for GSP, but I just really, really want to see him fight Diaz now, no matter what people think it'll end up like.

Gonna just have to force some people who are round to watch a bit of it <img alt=":o" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/redface.png.900245280682ef18c5d82399a93c5827.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  12. I dunno what time the clocks actually go back, but the prelims on FB start at the same time as usual (11:30pm), so the Spike/UFC.tv prelims will start at 1am and the main card at 2am, same as usual. I'll be changing my clocks after it's started, just to avoid confusion.

Don't expect much from ESPN with regards to UFC programming now. Now that the Fox deal is done, UFC will be going to Sky in August. It seems they're content to use Premier Sports/UFC.tv/FX for the Fight Nights, UFC on Versus/Fox/Ultimate Finales etc instead of renegotiating with ESPN like they used to, and ESPN have basically taken a 'screw you guys, then' approach.

Less advertising, less replays, less broadcast consistency for things like MMA Live.

Are you on Virgin Media/BT Vision? You should be able to get the main card OnDemand by Sunday morning though if you are.

Ah okay. So moving to Sky as in events full on Sky Sports, or are they considering pay per view?

I am on Virgin, didn't realise you could get it on demand, will probably have to do that xD

  13. And taking down Diaz... what would that serve? He can beat Diaz standing, he takes it to the ground, he makes the game equal. Whatever you say about Diaz, he is Gracie Jiu Jitsu that's decent off his back.

He'll be in a dominant position as long as he wants and won't get submitted. I don't think it'd make the game equal, even if Diaz is threatening, if it goes to the judges then it being on the ground like that favours BJ a lot more than a stand up battle even if he is winning.

With all of this said, I kind of just want to stop thinking about this fight and wait for it to be awesome xD

  14. If Penn loses he'll probably call it quits. If Condit vs Diaz would be a good fight though, but I can't see Penn beating Diaz.

Really? I see BJ having an advantage pretty much everywhere except cardio, plus he can just take him down if he wants.

My prediction is Penn via stoppage due to cuts or technical submission, something that leaves Nick with some kind of moral high ground :p
