1. I thought The Batman was so well directed and the acting was off the charts. Yes, the feel was like The Long Halloween and Year 1 (or 2). And yes, as someone who has been reading comics since 1980, I can vouch that The Riddler is indeed a psychopath and menace to society.
 2. I used to love Diamond Mind Baseball, but it jumped the shark years ago when it was acquired by a bigger company. Too expensive in general. The early OOTPs were beyond anything I have ever played before (OOTP 4 to 6.5) Tried a few other baseball and wrestling sims over the years. Had a good time with Title Bout Championship Boxing. In the end, though, TEW outlasted all of them.
 3. No, they were not practice squad or Spring Training roster invitees. Main roster and NXT have real contracts, not just "practice squad" ones. Even the Developmental Contracts are exclusive. If it was baseball, anyone Vince cut would get paid the sum of their entire contract, just like in TEW.
 4. All the good points were made on this thread to begin as insignificant/tiny. Just want to add my thoughts because in many ways this strategy is core to the game if someone wants to work their way up from nothing. I learned to cut costs starting out from scratch from a Youtube channel. I forgot his name. He would smoke cigarettes and sounded like a New Yawker. Down to earth guy. One thing he did is have 30 minute shows at first. Do Triple Threats/Four Ways to fit everyone in. He also ignored stamina and production penalties. Hire one ref. He started with a monthly show and would test the finances to see if adding more shows per month down the road actually helps or not. I can see how hiring only 10 cheap workers, not having road agents/announcers, do not worry about low show ratings, and playing it slowly for 2-3 years to grow pop and not overextend yourself can be counterintuitive to new players without getting help online. Basically the early workers you hire are cannon fodder for your long term vision. (By the way my local indie company in real life uses "students" from its training program to work for free and is able to lure some veterans due to the promise of autograph signings before and after the card. The old wrestlers get paid more on that then their match. Same with Stardom, truthfully.)
 5. "Misc" is usually the program balancing out finances- can swing up or down based on some algorithm. You have no real control over it. As far as Mayu choosing OZ, from my experience it doesn't matter how higher prestige or momentum is, if they are higher by at least 1, the worker will skip my show. Obviously a higher sized company always wins. Don't think the pay matters much. I just switch my schedule to avoid conflicts. Loyalty/True Born is pretty much for Contract Negotiations/if the worker will leave. The Stardom women's contracts ought to be set to Ironclad Exclusive Handshake (in real life they are Written, but they are too small for that in TEW) but their wages will increase and it may break the game balance. It's actually kinda hard to sim the joshi business scene in TEW. In real life those promotions are super small but the workers are insanely loyal and would never miss shows like that.
 6.

So you could have 7 total jabronis in an angle thats rated 100 if you have a prime Rock being rated on entertainment.

The real world application of this had been debated for years. I would say it would be like maybe early Nation of Domination promos where Farooq came out and talked and everyone else just kinda stood there looking mean but by being present and identified clearly to the audience it did... to a point anyway... get them over. Would those promos be considered worthy of a 100 rating? Probably not but I like to think of it like it's possible that a promo like that COULD be that good with the right guy doing the talking. I dont know. Is it gamey? Totally. But thats what that would mean.

See Jericho's perfect promo when he introduced Inner Circle, and all of his other promos when Hagar, Sammy, Ortiz, and Santana are in the background yet gain popularity.

 7. If you are concerned that the pop cap is killing match ratings or figureheads, Khali never consistently (to say the least) had 90-100 rated matches when he was pushed to the top irl. Nor was he a great figurehead. He was over in India, though. So he could sell t-shirts there. The game accounts for guys like Khali. Neither did Ultimate Warrior. Marko Stunt will never have that either. I actually find TEW2020 more open when it comes to pop perception by fans and momentum. Also, mod makers (or us) can set Potential for all the skills to high or add Historical Events to boost stats and pop in the DB if we are worried about accuracy for Steve Austin. Now, should it be an option? I am not against us having options to turn things on and off. I am really enjoying 2020 as it is and haven't run across this as a frustrating or gamebreaking issue.
 8. When there's too much to track and you worry about losing your company pop. On a related thought: Sometimes I wish there was a true sandbox fantasy mode where you can book cards without considerations for company size, company style, or money. Like a bubble universe where salaries don't scale to popularity. Sometimes I just want to sim dream cards. It's kinda frustrating to only get E+ matches with no audience in smaller leagues even if you have fantastic workers. Yet, running a bigger league has all kinds of worries due to TV deals, personalities, and expenses.
 9. Would you guys have liked to see Cena take heel bumps like Patterson or Flair just because he's fighting KO? Or Roman acting like a coward just because you're jealous he's a Chad? Makes no sense. Match MMA if you want 3-D personalities who fight to win money and fame. Matches are structured so there needs to be a heel and a face- "shine, heat, comeback"-even when there are two heels or faces in the ring, or if there' a tweener. Called Storytelling 101. Vince Russo is the one who hated that idea of heels vs faces, so maybe you have more in common with him than you think.
 10. As I posted in Effganic, 2020 is 100% better in terms of spawning new companies and workers, and keeping leagues in business. The game also sims faster if you want to jump in at a later date.
 11. As an Effganic/MVP player, I fired this would be a good thread to to confirm that as long as you allow organic companies, autobalance, new workers, and whatever else you want, you could actually set up a bare bones mod with one worker, one company, a user character, and the standard DB imports (broadcaster/names/gimmicks etc.). 5 years in and I have 10 new companies and only one in Canada has never hired. I don't even have future workers or companies. This runs MUCH better than previous games, where it seems no one would ever be hired, bankruptcies, and there were never enough workers.
