  1. Indeed, the reason why there had to be a "Womens' Revolution" IRL is because there was something wrong to begin with. The fact of the matter is that Pro Wrestling in America lagged behind the progress that was being made in real sports by a wide margin, and that reality is reflected in the C-Verse. I would imagine that women in North America in the 90s in the C-Verse would have to rely quite a deal on touring in Japan and perhaps Mexico. Characters bios like that of Joanna Rodriguez say that CZCW had a women's division for a while in the early 2000s so that shows a mild uptick in Women's' wrestling in the timeline, but 97 might be too early to start demonstrating that.
  2. I'm someone who has on multiple occasions had to "redo" their default C-Verse image folder. I used to own laptops back in my student days and often times when those laptops kicked the bucket I wasn't able to transfer my GDS folders between them. I'm somewhat particular with how I want the in-game characters to look so it's not usual to spend literally hours going through Rerender threads trying to track old rerenders I took a liking to get my pic folder the "right" way. For someone like myself, in an ideal world I would like to be able to both search via Artist, and search via worker/character. JSliver realised that Photobucket allowed us all to do that for a while when it introduced tags. That system was basically what we needed but God did that end up backfiring on us (PB's fault, not ours). It's really painfully coming back now after a few years and seeing so much great work from the previous decade wiped away by Photobucket. An issue in the past with "indexing" has been that, basically, the OP of a thread is left with a large responsibility to do all the work. We used to have people who would index all the stuff being made in the "Alt" threads and eventually that person would disappear or the job would become too much of a chore. I think for the moment, the most straight forward thing to do is probably have everyone host their images on imgur, and we keep the format of the Rerender thread and Alt thread, which at this point are institutions in the community. As people have suggested, artists should probably be encouraged to create their own specific artist threads as well to make finding their content pretty quick as well. However, if we could find a website that allows images to uploaded/hosted and tagged by multiple users, that would be preferable. Imgur allows users to create albums that I think can be expanded later, so artists could possibly maintain imgur albums of all their work which they could link to each post, but that won't so well for characters/workers as it would take quite an amount of busywork/chorework to maintain.
  3. How does one alter their username here on the forums? Is there a way to do via the User CP or does a staff member manually have to change, or is it not possible to alter usernames?
  4. Two things: 1. Great to see that CV97 is coming back. I'm thinking that I'll probably attempt to do CV2001 for TEW2020, which I didn't do for TEW2016, and I knew before this that it would depend on you doing CV97 again. 2. As far as XFW and women goes: To me, XFW is to DAVE what XPW was to ECW in real life. XPW very much patterned itself after ECW but when even edgier on a lot of things in a euphoria of late 90s constant excess. Canonically, to me, it seems like DAVE, for the most part, didn't hire that many women. Emma Chase was seemingly the only major female face associated with DAVE if we're going off past bios in TEW history. They seemed to have definitely gone the sex appeal route for a while but then cottoned on to how actually charismatic she was, so she wasn't pigeonholed in that. That's not too far off what ECW did. They did exploit the sex appeal of the likes of Francine and Dawn Marie, quite heavily as the late 90s ramped up, but kept it to a certain level. Whereas on the other hand, with Beulah, they toned it down over time and made her into a more sentimental character. In XPW, predictably because of the porn background of the owner Rob Black, the use of sex appeal was pretty all out in XPW. None of the girls were really there to talk like in ECW; they were there so that they could be featured on the DVD covers in bikinis. On occasion, they did do matches, but it was once in a blue moon. So likewise, I expect XFW would be similar: hot girls are used to escourted the ugly SOBs that do hardcore wrestling to the ring. You could give XFW a women's division that's just a pure eye candy deal...but I'd really recommend against it. The only way for a division to be workable is that you have at least 8 people in it. Anything less than that it gets terribly repetitive. That means having to put like 8ish women on a regional promotional roster, rosters that tend to be not that big anyway. You could do less than that, and let the AI and the player pick the addtional stars to add...but then with the AI they might end up using talent who probably canonically wouldn't touch XPW with a 10-foot barge pole. I personally feel like eye candy divisions for hardcore promotions are often suggested but rarely successful. The same mistake was made in the That 70s mod. In the second version they took 2 girls who were previously just managers, added another 2 girls, and made a division. Then the player would have to look for addition girls if they wanted to keep the division going. Most of the time people felt like it was a chore or they simply immediately ditched the division. Going back to the real world comparisons: I feel like a promotion like XFW would do a woman vs woman match, eye-based...but like once a year as like a blow-off to two managers feuding, just like ECW did in real life, and ECW did that in imitation of what the promotions of the 1980s would do. I don't think the fans would care for monthly matches between the women. It's good as a rare spectacle that shakes up a card once in a while; as a regular thing, it just becomes part of the woodwork. So yeah, long story short I'm rather against it. Not venomously, just in principle. Girls on the roster as managers, definitely, but not in the ring. It wasn't an enlightened time in North America about women in wrestling in real life and probably wasn't in the C-Verse either. That, and what I've already said above about how it actually plays. 3. As far as more Deathmatch workers go: Playing previous versions of the mod, often as XFW, I never found it too difficult to get the kind of roster I wanted. The starting XFW roster I actually quite enjoy: I like the oddball, broken toy vibes they have. I would hire on new people and I don't recall struggling too badly to get new recruits. Two or three additional "obviously a deathmatch sort of guy" types in the mod that could be used by XFW or DAVE wouldn't be overdoing it, but at the same time, you don't necessarily need to fill under pressure to definitely get them in. That said, it has been a good while since I've played TEW and I might not be remembering everything I need to remember here.
  5. Zoe Ammis looks really good, but you might want to watch those jaw lines/chins, they're all very strong for women.
  6. Dave Meltzer was speaking directly about this recently and in his view Guaranteed money was never a problem for WCW, it was the fact that they collapsed all their income. In 1996/1997 and even 1998, they were paying guaranteed contracts with no issue. In 1999/2000 the pay scale didn't actually jump much at all, but WCW's income tanked significantly and that's why it couldn't be paid. WWE in their in-house documentaries during the 2000s and early 2010s spun things very differently, suggesting a pay scale spiralling out of control, and one would presume that was mainly because they didn't want their own roster thinking that WWE could and/or should be given them guaranteed money. So the point I'm making is that we should we say "WCW collapsing their income" was what killed them, not the guaranteed contracts.
  7. I actually preferred the original "That 70s mod" for the C-Verse to 1977, because in that 70s mod, which I believe was set either in 75 or 75, the territories are still going strong while SWF is only just being its push. The 1977 version shook up the game world by buffing up SWF while giving big blows to the territories. In particular, Boston takes some heavy loses. That 70s mod was more of a level playing field while '77 is slanted towards SWF for historic reasons. To be perfectly honest I wasn't a fan of DAVE dying in the C-Verse. I felt that Ryland was pretty harsh on DAVE because he has/had the view that ECW could have never made IRL, and so reflected that in DAVE's demise. I was always in the camp that felt that if ECW could have soldiered through the 2001 to 2004 period, they would have made it to a financially viable point. But besides that, DAVE surviving would have allowed so many of us former ECW fans to continue to play and imagine what a surviving ECW would have been like. Considering that the C-Verse has so many radically different promotion with so many radically different styles, it seemed strange to cut down DAVE just to make a statement on ECW. PSW never had the charm DAVE had, and not because it's only regional. DAVE and XFW in the 1997 mod are both extremely (pardon the pun) fun to play as.

This being said I am still adding DG and going ahead with the TNA split. With This happening the Company count will reach 56, so I might add 4 more companies. Maybe FMW, what about niche companies like Hoodslam, Incredible Strange Wrestling and even DDT and/or HUSTLE could make a come back?<p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Two things though: Firstly, The more companies in the game, the slower games advances due to the amount of decisions the AI has to make for each company. You wind up with a lot of lag. Secondly the more companies in the game, the more each company gets sapped during regional battles. It's more difficult and difficult if you're playing as a smaller company. </p><p> </p><p> IMO WOTI is more about the All-Stars of (American) wrestling locking horns, rather than miscellaneous promotions. The two current main RW mods for TEW2016 don't even include ISW or Hoodslam, and they try and cover most of everything current. </p><p> </p><p> If anything, one or two promotions could be dropped. Personally I'm not sure why APW is even in WOTI, nevermind bigger than PWG in the same area, when outside of appearing in Beyond the mat, APW has never really been that influential.</p>
  9. <p>IMO, A 3 way split probably wouldn't work out.</p><p> </p><p> What you have to take into account is that the 5 guys working on top of TNA from 2005 to 2015 were: Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Sting, Kurt Angle and Jeff Hardy. 3 out of those 5 are unlikely to be in a TNA promotion: Sting is a lock for WCW:nWo and Angle likely to be in either the WWF Attitude Era or WWE Ruthless Aggression. Jeff is also likely to be in WWF Attitude. </p><p> </p><p> Any version of TNA is going to be a regional company, and therefore won't be able to keep high level guys on a contract. So even if a TNA started with a Kurt Angle, the AI from the other companies would just immediately snatch him. </p><p> </p><p> Scott Steiner, Ken Kennedy and Bully Ray were another group of top card guys, and you're only going to get one of those if you're lucky: Hiring Bully Ray from ECW, if he's not immediately snatched up on a written contract by a bigger company. </p><p> </p><p> If you split TNA 3 ways, you split the roster 3 ways and water it down too much. </p><p> </p><p> There's enough of a difference between the NWA:TNA days and Impact wrestling days to justify a split: Because there was a decade between them the rosters, broadcasters and even owners are all very different. </p><p> </p><p> Also TNA didn't leave Spike until 2015. The post-Spike years aren't really a whole era yet, and the roster is a constant state of flux, very hard to represent.</p>
  10. <p>WOTI has always been more of an America-centric mod anways, so having two eras of TNA wouldn't be insane. </p><p> </p><p> Splitting the roster might be a bit tricky, but it'd doable. Make NWA:TNA the real original roster with guys like Low Ki, Jerry Lynn, Christopher Daniels, Monty Brown, while Impact would be guys like the Pope, Bobby Roode, James Storm, Robbie E, Zemi Ion etc. Not sure who'd get AJ Styles; you might have to give him to Impact to make up for the fact Impact won't have Jeff or Matt Hardy if the Attitude era retains them. Or even put him in both. </p><p> </p><p> I think adding another era of TNA makes more sense than adding Japanese promotions. I can't imagine too many people actually play Japan in WOTI, because A) There's not all that much going on in Japan in WOTI and B) Japan isn't loaded up with Legends the way America has been in WOTI. </p><p> </p><p> I guess NWA:TNA would get the Spike TV slot while Impact Wrestling would be on Pop.</p>

Because I've looked but can't seem to find any instances of a real logo for them.</p><p> </p><p> Edit: </p><p> <img alt="Titan_Sports_logo.jpg" data-src="https://s4.postimg.org/hehzvowl9/Titan_Sports_logo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> For the meantime here's a stand in.</p>

This would really fit well sitting beside the likes of the original Tamara McFly, April Appleseed, Raven Nightfall,Wanda Fish/Belle Bryden etc except the hair looks fuller/thick and her skin has more of a nice warm glow to it. </p><p> </p><p> Good job.</p>
  13. <p>Being on honest, I wonder if HGC is a bit too similar to AWF, or maybe rather I should say <em>I find</em> them a bit similar. They're both glitz and glam promotions, both have bases in the South West, both are charisma and character driven promotions who are light touches when it comes to in the ring. </p><p> </p><p> I mean, playability wise, HGC are very pick up and play. You've got TV, you've got PPV, you've got some bank, you can bring in who you like: If you want to go hunting the "Big 4" with them, you can. I say Big 4...HGC basically just replaced CWT in the Big 4. </p><p> </p><p> I don't know, what do other people think?</p>
  14. On the subject of stables, Fargo Korben's bio says he's currently in Life without Fear, but I'm not sure the stable even exists (formally) in CWT. Also Jesse Mills doesn't have the minimum requirements for a Cult Leader gimmick.
  15. <p>Mhhh, I don't know what to think. </p><p> CWT got nerf'd hard: Pre-Diamond, they had a weekly viewership (if you used TEW2016 with the old data) of 250,000. Post-Diamond, they're down to 25,000. They've lost 90% of their viewership, or the viewership they would have had if they were still at the popularity levels they had in the previous version. Also the standard main event has gone from C to D. Ouch. </p><p> </p><p> HCG, on the other hand, went from a regional company only popular in the South West to suddenly cult. It's a very USPW from the C-Verse type jump.</p>
  16. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="MHero" data-cite="MHero" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="42555" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Done. Not able to check just now but does Sixteen Volts need a buff too?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Eh. Sixteen Volts' role is "guy who should be a manager but for some reason he's a wrestler, so either make him a manager or wait out his contract". His stats are what they are.</p>
  17. <p>This is something I should have brought up before, since it was an issue in the last version, but anyway, here we go: </p><p> </p><p> In Lil Swag's bio, it's mentioned he has great comedic timing. However, his comedy performance is only C-, and road agents will often note his comedic performance will drag down a comedy match instead of improve it. </p><p> </p><p> He should be buffed, especially as the product of PWSUX requires one comedy match per show, and thus you have to always have around 5 guys minimum who can work a comedy match, and it'd be super handy if Lil Swag was one of those guys.</p>
  18. Hmmm, PWSUX has been quite shaken up since the last version. My games are going to turn out very differently to ones I was playing last time.
  19. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="DevinTEW13" data-cite="DevinTEW13" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41928" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>The land down under cant get any 70's love? Even still I'm very excited</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> The existing "canon" suggested that pro wrestling really didn't take off in Australia until the start of the 2000s, but part of that was because Australia wasn't "unlocked" until later TEW games. </p><p> </p><p> If Australian promotions were put in, it'd take a lot of work because there's no characters already created for that area, they'd all have to be made from scratch.</p>
  20. <p></p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/pSyjw7C.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/7mLG2xB.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/CcFshbg.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/BBdR6U5.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> Well the source is a little obvious, but since Assassin doesn't debut in the C-Verse for about 50 years after the setting of this mod, this alt I've just created might be alright for one of Nicht Mehr. I based it off Billy Idol per your suggestion. </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/GKAwzEW.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> Also here's a very basic alt of Cheerleader Nicki that might come in hand if you need a render for a cheerleader in FAG, that is if you're still planning on using them.</p>
  21. <p>There were two versions of Rocky Streets rendered: One for the 75 mod, and then another for the 77 mod:</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/6ecm2LL.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/Bp6pYan.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Here's both in case you don't have one; personally I prefer the one on the left, as I find the style on the right too bulky and rough.</p>
  22. <p>For Kaiser Grund, you can probably get away with using the same render as Spike. </p><p> </p><p> I'm referring to this one: <span>http://i.imgur.com/LuIo753.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> For his partner, it'd be awesome if someone did a render based on something like this: <span>http://41.media.tumblr.com/ea9b3fe23cdeae8aefa17ae82cc57a06/tumblr_my3v8awr5l1t7siopo1_500.jpg</span></p>
  23. <p>By the way, what are your thoughts on FAG? </p><p> </p><p> I think it could work as a comedy promotion (especially now that TEW2016 has the comedy match aim), but I think it should have a few wrestlers on the roster who are now just from the movie Semi-Pro, so that's it's not so reliant on the movie as it's basis.</p>
