  1. Good ol' Marty. Thanks for the kind words, Jaded. I'm glad you are enjoying the data. I'm currently playing a Tommy Rogers career, and I run into Jannetty quite often. It's a lot of fun meeting (and getting pounded on by) all the stars of the era.
  2. Thanks for the fantastic comments, guys. If we can keep the kayfabe spirit alive, the future will always look brighter. And I'm jealous of Bad Luck Brett, heh. The New England scene will always be top of the line. 2 words: Jonathan Richmond. After that, all scenes are wannabes.
  3. I'll look into it, Mr. Amsterdam. Thanks for bringing the situation to my attention! In the meantime, if you wish to drop me a PM with your email address, I'll send the data out to you.
  4. The only Zeus I'd put into DOTT would be the Greek guy with the pointy beard and constant problems with the wife. It's not that I have anything against Mr. Lister, as I feel he is a pretty good actor - but Zeus? Egads on a stick, man! I mean... he was the type of wrestler that made Nash look good! Seriously; if you want the character in, by all means add him in for yourself. Personally, I'd rather Ted the Wrestling Bear was made Active.
  5. Thanks for the offer, skaterkee. I corrected the first post in this thread to reflect the gracious hosting of another fan of Wrestling Spirit, AustinExpress. Keep in mind the user id and password that Ben has set up to get to the site.
  6. If you have all the pictures from previous versions, all you need is the data. If you PM me your email address, Nuke, I'll send you the latest files.
  7. Just to let you guys that are playing the latest data know: the Dropkick into the Corner move should be setup to only work inside the ring. I made the mistake of not double checking that. I strongly suggest either unchecking the Can be Done Outside jazz, or removing the move entirely - at least until a corrected dataset is released. If the move is used in its present state, the game will start having a freakout. Apologies all around - and thanks to Tom for pointing it out.
  8. Yeah; apologies all around, friends. An unwillingness to pay yet another increase in server prices has forced me to sever connections with my previous space provider. I'm hoping to have something else up soon, but can not predict an exact time. In the meantime, if anyone is interested in receiving the data the 'old fashioned' way (heh), drop me a Private Message and I'll work on emailing it out to you. Good day.
  9. The site will will down for about three more days, according to the space provider. Sorry for the hassle, but it's out of my hands. If anyone wants the data, drop me a PM and I'll work on getting it to you.
  10. It's the Active Content of the buttons, alas. Some browsers seems to have problems with it, or it is blocked in your security settings. Regardless, I should probably get to changing those buttons from Flash to standard ones, as I hate to see anyone having problems with them. Thanks for the linkage, Socko; Mucho apreció. As this gives me a great excuse to advert, I'll mention that v3.3 is shaping up to be a good one. There are several more roleplaying elements thrown in, which I am enjoying - as well as my finally getting around to tweaking the AI attack ratings for all the workers I've missed in previous updates. These late two updates have greatly increased the difficulty of the scenario, yet 3.3 really caps it. If I am fighting someone of equal or greater skill now, I have to constantly stay on my toes after the ten minute mark; an incredibly brutal end game. Anyway, cheers!

  12. Just to let newer people know, make sure to update/patch your version of WreSpi to v1.5 Also... if you take a look at the first page in this thread, you'll noticed the upcoming changes for v3.2 It's probably the most dramatic update to the scenario. 1) the Physical Requirements to Finishers have been greatly raised to better help out the limb marksmen... and 2) the Frequency Rates has been raised in moves that require High in-ring skills to pull off. For example, a move that requires 80 Tech will be just as easy for that skilled worker to pull off as a wimpier move by a less skilled worker. I believe that if you get someone into an elite status, they should have the benefits.
  13. The new All Star Wrestling was accidently listed as being a U.S. promotion. The data has been fixed and reuploaded - Brian Dixon's All Star should be a U.K. promotion. Thanks and apologies.

  15. That's high praise, Big Jabba - especially coming from someone not very interested in the time period to begin with. Thank you, kindly! If I inspired you to look at the kayfabe era in a different light, I have accomplished all that I can hope. Take care - and thank you, again.
  16. Thank you very much for the kind words, KaceCC; they really mean a lot. We hope that you continue to enjoy it! From the moment Rick introduced me to the game, I've felt that Wrestling Spirit was (and is) the perfect vehicle for a territorial homage. Whereas Sports Entertainment doesn't even pretend that the 'contest' is real, the kayfabe era maintained the illusion that it was. WreSpi is kayfabe. Take care!
  17. Ernie Roth was awesome! The Grand Wizard was a fabulous manager, but I think his Abdullah Farouk character was better - simply because he managed the Sheik.
  18. I'm not sure why the files are defaulting to a temp folder for you, Captain Lou. Perhaps the browser you are using? I'm running IE and it asks me where I want to download the files - so I am not running across that. I'll look into whatever cross browser problems might be in the code. Sorry about the problems! I am in the process of emailing these zip files out to you - but the Main worker picture packs might be too big. I'll see.
  19. As the forums are currently located in the wastelands of Europe (hah - sorry, Damiende! ), there may be spotty connections at odd hours - but it is always temporary. Knock on wood. Also, the DOTT Site has gotten a face-lift. If you hate it, feel free to drop in and throw tomatoes at Rick. I may have done the site, but the guy is hungry! Enjoy!
  20. There won't be an update for some time, XoX. The only reason I have released the last few versions was that I wanted to put the finishing touches on it before moving on to my next project. I finally became happy with the scenario at v2.3, as the roleplaying elements really came together at that point. v2.4 I blame entirely on Old School Wrestling's forums. The previous, more redundant updates are the result of my enjoying screwing around with my web space provider - hah. I'm sure Rick just shakes his head and mutters about that 'loon of a partner' he has. 'Just update all at once, will ya???' As I have begun work on the 'Legends of the Territories', those updates to DOTT should be much fewer and far between.
  21. Thank you very much for the kind words, iujim1! It is very much appreciated. Regal seems like an excellent choice, in that he starts in one of my favorite promotions at this time, Joint. Just the chance to wrestle the British Kendo Nagasaki would be fantastic, heh. Plus, the style over there is so diverse that it seems like it would be a blast to play on a regular basis. And you get 'Cowboy Bret Hart'! At present, though, I'm having way too much fun as The Sheik. Again, thanks for the comments; they mean a lot.
  22. A new site warrants a new update... v2.4: * Moves Added: Bockwinkel Sleeper Hold (Finisher), Bruno Bear Hug (Finisher), Stevens Piledriver (Finisher), Choctaw Deathlock (Finisher), Funk Spinning Toe Hold (Finisher), Inoki Yinziguri Kick (Finisher), Giant Double Underhook Suplex (Finisher), Late Inning Schoolboy Roll-Up (Finisher), Race Swan Dive (Finisher), Santana Forearm Smash (Finisher), The Crusher Nelson (Finisher), The Octopus; Billy Robinson's Abdominal Stretch variant (Finisher) * Various Moveset Tweaks * Various Move Tweaks * Various Worker Tweaks * Enjoy! ____________________________________________
  23. I've uploaded a v2.3b Benoit is now unplayable, as he is under 17 with the date of birth correction. To be honest with you - and something mentioned by us before - we were not aiming for a particular date in history to start the scenario. We had made the younger guys old enough to be playable in the generalized 'Death of the Territories' era, as I felt someone might like to play them. So much for that. (edit: Ah... I also updated the alternate backgrounds, if interested - heh.)
  24. v2.2 Update (2.2b) * Worker(s) Added: Blue Demon, El (name which shall not be spoken here, lol), Fantasma, El Matemático * Moves Added: Heel Exaggerated Loading Of..., El Pulpo, Showstopper, Inverted Bear Hug * Movesets Added: Blue Demon, Marty Jannetty, Marty Jannetty Heel, Fantasma - Tecnico, Fantasma - Rudo * Bam Bam Bigelow tweaked out. Enjoy!
