First off, since internet discourse is the way it is, I need to make clear that I'm asking about your opinion here, not challenging it.

I get why a lot of people are sick of Jericho right now, but what is your issue with Hook?

When I read the comment, I took it to mean that it would give Hook a different (bigger?) audience to perform for. I keep up with AEW through results and here, and pretty much every report I've read has fans tired of Jericho. Since it said for different reasons, I guess I took it to mean that it would be to Hook's benefit to leave AEW. I've also heard rumors that WWE are interested in Hook.

Yeah. While not the big powerhouse like Nia Jax, Piper Niven, or Jade Cargill, Charlotte is bigger than the average competitor in the women's division, and it doesn't look like she's trying to give them a hug.

Charlotte doing it works for me since the women are smaller than the guys I still believe it does damage.

I will have to go back to watch it but you guys are probably right. Maybe it’s just my bias on that when I grew up seeing Rhyno and Goldberg doing it. And admittedly the Goldberg one might be seen through rose colored glasses of when he was on top at WCW. Rhino is just next level though.

If it was the War Chamber match then it was Raven, Akira, Jimmy Lloyd and Jake Crist vs Cannonball, Dr. Cornwallis, Sami Callihan and Ricky Shane Page.  RSP's team is called The Calling and thus Raven named his opposing team The Answer.

    Yes, that's the one.

Can't be any worse than Edge's. One WhatCulture guy (not Simon) once described it as something like "tenderly embracing his opponent before gently lowering them to the ground."

At least Lashley’s body type could believably deliver the move (if he could make it look better). People like Edge and Charlotte have no business doing a move like that.

I remember watching that clip, and it is impossible to see it as anything else now.

  5. I have enjoyed switching the alignment of commonly face or heel workers. For example, Chris Caulfield as a heel, backed up by other former DAVE guys gave him new life in one of my games. Otherwise, he is always my first face champion and gets taken out by a cocky youngster.

Los Guerrilleros, although I use them as The Cartel with Padre Carrasco as the Cartel lawyer. They tend to wreak some havoc against lower level patriots (Desert Storm and Sgt Bubba Lee West as faces).

Lashley isn't supposed to be entertaining. He should be booked to go out there and wreck people.

I don’t need him to tell jokes, but even when it comes to wrecking people he wasn’t the best at that either. He has been meh for a while. Build him up as a monster and after Summerslam I could take him as a serious threat to Cody’s title. But if he isn’t going to win anyway, why waste it now?

Even MMA is better with characters.

Toni Storm is still brilliant and the real star of the women's division
Bunkhouse Brawl was really fun last night.
New Elite v FTR/PAC was a great match, agree with Milamber easy MOTN
Boy have I missed PAC, easily one of my favourite wrestlers
Collision in general a great show leading into a stacked PPV.

Last few months i have stopped reading wresting takes online, and have just been watching what i enjoy, amazes me people find ways to complain when the wrestling world is probably in the best state its been in for a generation.

Best way to watch a show (wrestling or otherwise).

I wanted to give Azteca a chance, but holy crap they are not trying at all. They can't even have a real ring bell, using the audio track and DISPLAYING it on the tron.

Does this look like Major League to you? :D

Everything about this collab with CRASH is wack, and I feel bad for people who expected LU #2. On paper, they have interesting people involved, but the execution is just so trash.

Their event from yesterday came up on my YouTube feed (Raven and some team in a cage match, Riddle vs Thatcher, David Boy Smith Jr was on it). I always crap on TNA for their subpar presentation - the ring echoes way too much, the crowd seems like it’s just a couple hundred people, etc. The presentation of this show was not bad for it being a smaller promotion. Some of the wrestlers look terrible though, and the promos were underwhelming from some of the less known names. Didn’t watch everything, but the AJ Francis involvement, and Dario Cueto (by whatever name he uses) really stood out. The gap between them and the rest was jarring.

Lashley tried being heel not that long ago and it absolutely, well and truly did not work. Not in the slightest. If you try and turn him again his run with the Street Profits becomes more awkward. If you try to run it as a face v face it would likely be clunky and probably wouldn't do all that much to establish Cody.

Edit: Also, completely forgot. Bobby's whole story with Karrion Kross is partially about how Bobby's losing the spotlight to the Street Profits and despite being a former world champion is fading into the background.

Having the Street Profits is the most entertaining bit about Lashley in years. Really good wrestler. But not entertaining.

Looking for some creative advice on how to handle Jimmy and Jey Uso post-mania. I would ideally like to get them on the same page again in the longer perspective, but also have it making sense and not just "they worked out their differences off screen and are now tagging for no reason". I'm thinking Jimmy turning face. Jey, in kayfabe, has no reason to trust Jimmy, so creative advice on how to play to that and have him regain the trust of his brother.

Preferably free of The Bloodline, I wanna keep The Bloodline and the Usos separated post-draft.

I think you have the beginning pretty well set - Jey could forgive Jimmy, but certainly not forget. That's going to take a while. I would probably have them start teaming, but with Jey doing blind tags to get the win. Maybe have moments of mixed signals where Jimmy is going to hit someone with a chair, he ducks, and he almost hits Jey (but he stops himself, obviously). Events like that could lead to a loss here and there along the way. There could be issues like that where the roles are reversed, too. I would have Jey continue his solo run for a bit (along with tagging with Jimmy). He tells Jimmy he doesn't want him at ringside for his matches, not with what's happened in the past. Then, with a big title match, Jey loses and the champion (or maybe a stable) brutally attack Jey after the match. At that point Jimmy comes in, saves his brother, having regained his trust. If you have the Usos as part of a Wargames match you could have Jimmy save Jey (similar to how Bayley saved Damage CTRL last year. Except this time, the payoff is that the Usos form a stronger bond than before.

I've actually been using Brent Hill as head booker so unfortunately; I'm going to lose the extra user point I've earned thus far when I make this change. I like your idea of RDJ and already have him under contract acting as the on screen authority figure. Who is Robert Montgomery Sr? I didn't find him in the data.

I didn't realize he wasn't in the original data. He must have been added in one of those "Yet to Debut" mods I added - which makes sense now that I think about it since his kids debut over the first two years. Per the bio Stallings supposedly had plans to bring him in to HGC, but was in a car wreck that forced him to retire. He opens up a school, and his kids (and a niece?) debut over the first 2 or so years. I usually use him as my User Character (or have him involved in my fed) so he can lead a stable of his family. The large family gave me Von Erich vibes for a story to explore in my games.

So, instead of being 0-37, he's actually 0-1-36.

Or 0-1-6 if House Shows don't count...

Brother, that's still an absolutely awful record. 😂

Are we counting Solo and Jimmy as a Unit? Or Individuals? Because a lot of times in the groups there is the guy that eats all the pins in tag/multi man matches. Seems like Jimmy was the one taking the hit and he was being protected. So 0-1-1 with 6 matches that he didn’t factor into the decision in - and since Jimmy can’t carry his weight, he is out. 🙃

I wonder how the Usos will hug it out and make up. Whatever they decide to do, it’s for the best. They are not singles guys at a top level. But they are a top level tag team.

I have only seen clips, so far. Was it implied that The Rock is the Tribal Chief and Solo is just acting on his behalf?

Hard to tell from the highlights posted. Heyman appeared still loyal to Roman to the point he was being intimidated by Solo. One could speculate that The Rock could still be the one calling the shots because when Kayla’s interview of Heyman was interrupted by Tama Tonga, he tells Heyman it was by orders of the Tribal Chief. When Rock came back and they showed that family tree, wasn’t he listed as “Head of the Table”? Either way, I am intrigued.

It's such a cool idea - Rock training with bloodline members or a Samoan style training montage of some sorts, it would have been really fun.

Though if you think about it - Rock in and out of his character was talking about his in-ring preparation for a long time now, he even proved his abilities against Jinder, a former world champion, by taking him out.  You add his character to the mix - being a Hollywood action star, CEO of WWE, his past record at WM and his credentials as a wrestler - at least kayfabe wise, he had tonnes of resources and time for preparation. It's certainly plausible that he was good enough to hang with the top guys, at least alongside someone like Reigns.

Agree about the match, night 1 match felt janky to say the least but screw it, night 2 main event more than made up for it.

Didn’t they say he had a 6 week camp with Gallus or some group in NXT? I guess you would film the vignettes with The Bloodline, but it was acknowledged that he didn’t just come back and take the match having not trained.

They pretty much are, yes ! Do you think you could do the second one with this image, and on a black background ? While it will be an indy territory and I will probably go through an "Attitude Era"/"Hardcore-ish" phase, it'll start as a more traditional company with lots of old-timers and I can't really imagine, say The Destroyer or Al Madril work for a company with an Anarchist logo 😅

For events, at the moment I don't have any ideas other than maybe one referencing Hollywood, but any reference to either the city itself (Skid Row, the Venice Canals, Hollywood Boulevard), or people from LA (famous songs from local bands, celebrities, etc) would be fine. Those will serve as the future PPV types events, but it'll be a while before I need them so I haven't thought of names yet.

Sure thing. I actually saw that image when looking for possible logos. Maybe I will make a couple other versions that could be used as it evolve.

Could anyone make me a jpg logo for a new NWA territory in the 90's ? Either called "NWA: Los Angeles", "NWA: Hollywood" or any variation that would be related to Los Angeles. Since it will be a 90's company, they can look a bit "cheap", much like the NWA Hammerlock, NWA Wildside, NWA Top Rope, etc were, but I don't want to use the "NWA Championship Wrestling from Hollywood" since that will be an entirely different company.

Also, if anyone has logos for NWA events/PPVs, preferably related to Los Angeles once again but more neutral ones are entirely fine, that'd be amazing !

Not sure if this is what you had in mind.

Not once have AEW, Bucks, or TK said this footage is related to CM Punk in anyway. They say it's real backstage footage from All In London, not that it's Punk related.

Most likely related to FTR/Bucks since they're facing each other at Dynasty.

True. Guess it’s not a bait and switch if they never announce it as Punk related. And the only reason they would release the Punk/Jungle Boy bit would be if Punk lied about what happened, and then likely TK would have come out saying he had a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT for Dynamite.

You would think he would start calling it an EXPLOSIVE ANNOUNCEMENT instead considering the setting.

I will try to work on some of these soon. If you have any names in particular send me a message and I will post the logos here.
