1. No kidding and now that Orton is hurt Sheamus definitely needs to be a main event player now more than ever. Something tells me one or more smackdown writers or staff have it in for him. I thought I heard a report about that a while back but never really knew why. Anyways, should be interesting what they do with Danielson's WHC run. And yes, I still like to call him the American Dragon from time to time.
2. When Cole starts going into character I just press MUTE on the remote. *sigh* I know, it's temporary but you do raise a good question. WWE really needs a strong commentator to rise up and take over Cole's job. However, Cole probably has a good position with the company after having a win at Mania and crap.
3. I meant that as a possibility but good point. Not sure what the 3 hour RAW will be like with Rock just hoping they actually start doing something with Morrison now that he's off the losing streak. Morrison vs. Ryder vs. Ziggler for the US title at SS? Just a thought.
4. In light of recent booking and news events, just wanted to ask peeps on here what they think of... 1) Del Rio vs Punk at Survivor Series? Punk having the title back would be awesome but not if he's going to face Austin at Wrestlemania. And if he gets the title back I'd rather he have it for a longer period of time. Berto is getting bland like Punk stated on RAW. He needs something more to his character or whatever... so I'm on the fence as to whether he keeps the title or not. He's a good wrestle, just not a great draw/character or whatever you want to call it. 2) Sheamus vs Undertaker at Wrestlemania!? (If it happens) Ever since Sheamus bursted on the scene I liked his unique look and doing the Celtic Warrior gimmick was smart. I think these two would have a classic match so that Taker could go 20-0 and set Sheamus up for another BIG main event push.
5. Well... I'm glad Ziggler is still US champ. Even though he's been looking like a WWE champ even back when he had his feud with Edge (And had the World title for 20 seconds or something!)
6. Straight Edge also means "I'm very creative when it comes to getting out of submissions":
7. I love the TV show Community, with Joel McHale from the Soup, especially any of the 3 paintball episodes they've had: Plus, this bloopers clip about Batman: IMO, the best comedy show on NBC... forget The Office, it annoys me.
8. In your eyes, I understand but you also got to look at how passionate Punk is when he uses the mic because of this storyline. And it's because he's so passionate and convicted that people get drawn into the storyline. It's got people doing the "Colt Cabana" chants even if they don't know him! So it's not necessarily the difference between fan A and fan B. Not even the differences between what each type of fan wants. It's the blending of the lines/blurring of reality that makes this type of storyline intriguing
9. I just want to note that I don't want CM Punk to leave but I guess if he clearly is that miserable then he should. I don't think I've ever been this emotionally invested in another wrestler's career... it may be because I've watched him grow up in the biz through ROH, FIW, and even some IWA (His triple threat match with Eddie and Rey is awesome!) Although, I've never wanted a wrestler to succeed more than Punk just because he's clearly toiled and worked his way up to his current spot. And because I want to see his crooked moonsault just for kicks again! I know something good will come out of whatever happens at Money in the Bank but I just think it sucks. Punk is my favorite wrestler.
10. Ha ha, I loved Punk's shoot. I just wish he didn't get cut off by USA network... maybe that's why though, since he even bashed the USA network too.
11. Ditto. I did like Ryder (and I have been pushing him in my WWE game on TEW) but to be real, he doesn't really have a gimmick that can get over seriously. That's what kind of holds him back. IMO, he would fit more in the attitude era alongside Val Venis, D'Lo Brown, and other stable midcarders back then. And yes! Finally! Punk getting a pin over Cena! And the crowd was amazing for that match. Tell me if Miz vs. Cena got that kind of reaction? Or if Truth vs Cena will get that reaction this Sunday? I just feel there's no better heel right now then CM Punk! Plus, his segment with Austin was awesome.
12. There goes my hope for some sort of Mysterio vs. Sin Cara feud...
13. My bad, it doesn't take long for me to mix up guys from the DC and Marvel universe. It's like they try to do that on purpose or something. Good point, since Mary Elizabeth Winstead (who is smoking hot) did that dumb Scotty vs. The World movie. The only thing that intrigued me was her look in that movie. Interesting to note too that she's done two other projects that were either directly or indirectly linked to Kurt Russell before filming The Thing. I don't know if it's just coincidence or not but I doubt it, he seems like a guy that likes to help out other actors/actresses.
14. As much as I like Punk, I didn't like him not selling the RKO at the end of RAW but I understand he was just trying to show frustration.
15. There are many other indy films and lesser plugged films that look to steal the Oscar in 2012 (which I can't think of at the moment, but would be glad to discuss). People forget that even though the blockbusters are cool and profitable doesn't necessarily mean their candidates for Best Film. Having said that, I do look forward to a lot of different movies and not just some of the summer blockbusters. Super 8 looks like it can be a great film to show darker elements that Speilberg might not have been able to pull off in ET. Cowboys and Aliens looks great especially with Favreau directing it. Immortals, coming out in November, looks awesome. Just look at the pic of Rourke, it made me mark out that something can be WAY better than Clash of the Titans remake (even though I'm quite a fan of Sam Worthington). The Thing looks like it could be an excellent prequel to the John Carpenter remake in the 80s. Four years in development must mean something cool. Warrior looks badass with Tom Hardy finally getting the spotlight he deserves! This movie could even top The Fighter which might be hard to do. The Debt looks interesting with a mix of veteran (Helen Mirren) and rookie (Jessica Chastain-who plays a younger Mirren) screen stars. This pick may or may not have anything to do with my fanboyism of Sam Worthington Captain America looks like it could finally give Marvel a run for their money since DC has been weak in the movie-making business compared to Marvel. (Besides Green Lantern of course) I love the Cap and think Chris Evans is good casting for him especially since I heard he really wanted the part. I could probably go on and on but I'll just stop there. Honestly, the movie I'm looking forward to the must in the future is Terminator 5. I know a lot of people bash the crap out of the Terminator: Salvation but I thought that was an awesome movie especially with some of the minor details, like how Connor gets the scar on his face, and with the new terminators. You could say they could make the crappiest Terminator movie ever for the next one but I'll love it anyways because I'm such a geek for it. Still haven't even gotten around to finding the rare comic books for Terminator but yeah.... That's all I gotta to say...
16. I was extremely happy Cena gave the AA to Rock... then that might mean Cena won't win the title back at Mania! (like juggalo mentioned above)
17. Oh yeah! I'm totally with you there milamber. The delivery and just the mannerisms were just great. Rhodes is really coming into his own. On their website they still list MITB in July so I think it would be stupid to put one together for Mania. It's a very good question what they'll with with Sheamus & Christian, I see Big Show vs. Barrett at Mania though. And hopefully an IC or US title match as well to round out the undercard. That's just what I feel they should do.
18. Whenever I can, I like to watch Community, the new USA show Fairly Legal, and in-between seasons now is Haven. Those are really the only ones I like to follow if I have the time. Community is hilarious and Haven is quite compelling because it's almost like a mystery within a mystery and a hint of suspense/horror.
19. Based off some earlier comments, I was thinking that Triple H wouldn't actually be in the rumble itself but just come out while the ring is full with Sheamus inside and eliminate and destroy him on the outside with steel steps and junk. I was thinking this because a) I don't think Triple H needs to be in the rumble unless building up for another match against Sheams and b) it would be something cool and different. However, with the rumble going up to 40 superstars that probably won't happen so either Trips will be a surprise entrant (hope not) or he won't be in the match. That said, I could see Sheamus, Christian, Cena, Punk, Orton, Undertaker or Kane winning this year. Christian would be ideal for me just because him and Edge could have a great lead up towards a World Heavyweight title match. Otherwise, I'm not really sure who they will have win it. Although, I'm not high on any Nexus or Corre member winning the rumble. As much as I like Barrett, it feels to me that he needs to show something more. If he can break out on his own instead of having a group of lackeys, I'd like to see how he'd work then.
20.
I really hope that Cena does not have a major injury. It would suck.

I will always say that I've never been a fan of him but especially now he needs to be around for the Nexus angle to keep going with Punk.

Then again, if that happens I'm sure WWE will quickly be able to write a new storyline for Nexus and Punk to work against some other top face... maybe Orton?

Just throwing that out.

21. Not trying to downplay ROH but since this is the WWE discussion thread I'd like to point out that Punk attacking Cena on Monday was awesome! Even though he didn't have a really good reason, it still made me mark out like crazy! Punk should totally shoot on Cena next week.
22. Off topic of Lawler, just wanted to comment that CM Punk getting the "Despicable Me" Award was awesome even though the crowd didn't know whether to boo or cheer him, or so it seemed.
23. I wholeheartedly agree with Stennick that this should just be a reunion show. I might eventually watch this pay per view after reading and hearing all the good things. Let's just hope they don't try to revive it... again.
