  1. Don't think it will be a main event stable but more a midcard/ uppermidcard stable, with last weeks show more to establish them as a disruptive threat instead of the norm and dominating the show ala MEM and Immortal. Instead of rejected gutcheck just rejected wrestlers in general. disgruntled current and former TNA employees and maybe some guys the E missed the boat on. But you are right there aren't many "big" names out there to be the leader unless its a current TNA ME guy but I don't think so. ( Jarrett is not ME for a long time)
  2. Any chance of some reports on one that scored below a 5? Maybe not a full review but just some things you think should be avoided and why. While I prefer the overall positive tone you bring some things like don't watch this are not unwelcome.
  3. And to me it looks the exact opposite. But Sin Cara's track record doesn't help him with the perception. But since none of us have tried to perform the move we can't say either way.
  4. Well the Directv vs Viacom thing is finally over. Such a shame it happened during such a hot time for TNA. Think A&8 where meant as an intrusion and it actually helped show flow as wasn't as full as last month with many short matches. It will probably lead to Sting and Friends vs Aces and Eights at BFG. I do hope they keep these kind of shows to a minimum where they over shine too much but a faction does need to make an impact to be successful.
  5. Yeah but it all could be a "work" in that he has resigned with TNA and is part of Aces and Eights for instance. Given the worked shoot and social media stuff TNA has been doing its a legit possibility. Yeay suspension of disbelief back. On Shelly yes he didn't re up his contract, question is why. Hope he comes back down the line. Another good edition of Impact - the bad actress. Edit: Aces and eights any thoughts?
  6. He could become the Doug Williams to Herandez's Magnus as well. Chavo + Hernandez, Kash + Gunner, Daniels + Kaz and later maybe the Dynasty (Ryan and Scorpio Sky) and ANX and maybe a reformed British Invasion. Gets the tag division up and running again plus ads room to the roster and depth to the other divisions. And if Shelly comes back, we don't know the circumstances of the release but that is in the far future, Guns as well and with Angle around WGTT are always an option. But the last two are just pure speculation the other ones are pretty easy. Massive roster reshuffling going on in TNA atm so interesting to see how that turns out in the end. At least the guys they are focusing on the most are the right ones atm.
  7. Well he should get a decent push coming in as any new talent should to (re) establish him just hope it won't be a too big one. Haven't seen the new creative do something like this yet so will be interesting.
  8. Am I the only one that thinks the boob job has made the one look uglier? I liked the largely natural part and twin part of their subjective beauty.
  9. Chavo. Decent hand but not needed atm imho. Better talent within TNA and out there that are available. Probably slot into the Kid Kash role of putting over X guys and maybe also tag.
  10. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Jaysin" data-cite="Jaysin" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25169" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Even the WCW announcers hyped Austin as a future world champion.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> All true but just pointing out that during his Ringmaster period there where questions within WWE and the fanbase as a whole if he had it to be a main eventer. Now was that proportion smaller then Ziggler now debatable. Just pointing out there are always questions about, at the time, midcard talent if they have it to be a main eventer.</p>
  11. Heard it about a guy called The Ringmaster as well or for more recent CM Punk. Lolz. All midcarders get this. We shall see we shall see. Just to be clear not comparing Ziggler in quality to them or changing my tune that I don't think he is main event material.
  12. Lolz. Picture of him will suffice? Problem I have with the reunion it will remind me of when the E was good a lot. Attitude : DX, Rock. Smackdown Six: Brock. Rock and Wrestling: Wedding and probably a host of other nostalgia guys. I'll enjoy it, realize what we are getting now, realize that these are the weak versions of themselves because of the current product and then tune out. Edit: Plus Cena vs Punk will remind me of the hope things would change last year and didn't. And yeah full DX reunion would be nice. They got the Dogg just need Pac and Billy ( although there is some stuff to clear there). Chyna is as likely as Rude.
  13. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="djthefunkchris" data-cite="djthefunkchris" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25169" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I don't know, but I think Jericho is the perfect person for him to feud with. I'm sure "IF" that's about whats going to happen, it means Ziggler gets to work with one of the best on the mic, and no matter the outcome, he will be even better in all area's.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Agree but if he f's up too much in the eyes of management its back to midcard hell, that is what I meant with the litmus test part. Kinda like with Kofi and the botches he had with Orton.</p>
  14. Checked the promo and yeah this was one of his best so far. Not great but good enough. This whole feud is going to be a real litmus test for him and could be entertaining. Wonder how the post Summerslam Fozzy tour will be worked around.
  15. <p>Full review numbers are personal entertainment and totally subjective, try not to let personal likes or dislikes for certain talent play in too much though. Build/ story does factor in as it effects the matches etc.</p><p> </p><p> WH MITB: Nice entertaining match, shame little storyline development and 8 participants is just too much imho, and some botches/bad executions, but didn't effect enjoyment much so entertaining nonetheless. Ziggler winning is fine 6.75/10</p><p> </p><p> Ziggler celebration : It was ok 6/10</p><p> </p><p> No Holds barred commercial: This is on ppv? 1/10 ( I know didn't pay for it but still.)</p><p> </p><p> Sheamus interview: holy scripting batman, it was ok 6/10</p><p> </p><p> Miz return: went for more serious but came off as monotonous , going for more serious heel it seems, wonder if it will work. 5/10</p><p> </p><p> Raw 1000 : Seriously on ppv and one you have already shown? 1/10</p><p> </p><p> Sheamus vs Del Rio video package: Pretty standard fair didn't like the shading effect much. 5.5/10</p><p> </p><p> Sheamus vs Rio : The going for the arm thing was nice but the botches where worse here then in MITB as they detracted from the match and flow, commentators did their best to cover, and it they seemed they tried to go for intense but failed. Standard fair for the rest, fine result 4/10</p><p> </p><p> Post match attack Ziggler: Yeah ok segment, Sheamus being more damaged from that weak beatdown then the match and Del Rio reasoning to interfere bit weak but ok and Ziggler made to look weak immediately nice huh. 6/10</p><p> </p><p> RAW 3 hour commercial: Again ppv ffs it was nicely done but still 2/10</p><p> </p><p> Bryan interview: Another flat one but better then Sheamus 6.25/10</p><p> </p><p> Colon v2 vs PTP : And a filler match, ok for a filler match, and I like the PTP stick for now, but hate matches like this none the less, epitomizes the filler era. If you can't even bother to announce them that shows you don't care, then why should we care. Make the midcard matter! Pre show should have been here and vice versa if they had to delay PTP challenge, and yeah have the no1 contenders lose again ok. 6/10 for the segment 1/10 for the rest, although I am glad they are at least trying to do something with the tag division.</p><p> </p><p> PTP, True Boom segment: Hmm thought we had enough comedy with Santino and Vicky in mitb. Corny and meh, Truth did play the holding back little Jimmy very well and really dosed AW 4/10</p><p> </p><p> Triangle recap: It was ok as a recap, don’t care for the story that much for multiple reasons but the execution has been ok 6/10</p><p> </p><p> AJ interview: Best one so far but not great 7/10</p><p> </p><p> CM Punk vs Bryan: And the ME shaft continues. Bryan going for a more heelish look it seems. The whole AJ L thing didn’t figure in too much but it did. Don’t mind the bait and switch (again) too much with AJ L still facilitating, but you can have progression without a choice, still nada. Refs > Divas apparently, Very good match though 8.25/10</p><p> </p><p> Don’t try this at home: Approve of the message but do we need this still, and in the middle of the show? 6/10</p><p> </p><p> Tout commercial: Way to promote the company you invested in WWE on a ppv! watching tout marks is going to be interesting 1/10.</p><p> </p><p> Rybeck filler: 2/10 what’s next?</p><p> </p><p> Hey another RAW 1000: at least it was a new one, and one of my fav moments 2/10</p><p> </p><p> More filler now divas: At least they got their own entrances 2/10</p><p> </p><p> Summerslam commercial: Badly done and on ppv 1/10</p><p> </p><p> Showing buildup for MITB: small one here but why not have at least 1 interview with one of the participants in the match as it’s the ME they had 10 minutes to spare on the 3 hours?</p><p> </p><p> WWE MITB: I actually like this one better then the first one. Less high spots more drama and better execution. Cena wins yawn but ok I do my best to suspend disbelief but yeah Cena again. 7.25/10</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> General:</p><p> </p><p> Match placement: Swap pre show with the other tag, put one of the fillers in between Mitb and Del Rio vs Sheamus. Punk vs Bryan should have been main event especially with it getting more build, Punk winning and the added tension of a possible cash in. This was the worst title not ME yet. Like I said maybe intentional now, but its still crap.</p><p> </p><p> Commentary: Bad as always, Kofi and R truth didn’t do anything either and they looked bad in suits.</p><p> </p><p> Crowd + Setting: Very mediocre in their responses except for Punk vs Bryan hope they are better for BFG and the Rumble. Standard fair set and some bad camera/production work here and there. 87 percent sign in crowd lol.</p><p> </p><p> Booking/ Storyline progression: AJ L still up in the air so that was a bait and switch, make Ziggler and your no1 tag contenders look weak. Cena wins, no kid(ding). Zzzzzzzzzzzzz</p><p> </p><p> Overall: 1 great match, 2 decent, 1 bad and rest filler and flatness. Without Punk vs Bryan this was mediocre at best. 7.25/10 </p><p> </p><p> For those interested: Des X, Extreme Rules, Wrestlemania/ Slammiversary, Sacrifice, MITB, Lockdown.</p>
  16. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Astil" data-cite="Astil" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25169" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>If someone slips you let them regather, not just do the move anyway and risk injurying everyone involved.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> He was slipping in such a way that he was falling anyway no chance to regather. Cara kept him up then executed another version of the move which is debatable if that is the right move.</p>
  17. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Self" data-cite="Self" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25169" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>This is close to my opinion. Ziggler slipped in trying to get up, to prepare for the move, but instead of waiting a moment for Dolph to regain his footing, Sin Cara just went for it. The timing was off and it looked... like that.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Could have been a Cara save actually as it seems Ziggler was falling anyway with that big slip, but prolly not. That is the handiness of dl being able to re-watch stuff like that.</p>
  18. <p>Hmm way I saw it, it was a Ziggler sandbag first then Ziggler slip followed cara slip, more on Ziggler that one. But again as having never personally executed the move we can't judge either way. And the way it panned out was still a nice spot. As I am watching it now as got some time to kill. Mainly to see if the Punk vs Bryan match really was that great and I still like wrestling in general.</p><p> </p><p> Edit just rewatched it on slow mo it was Ziggler slipping first. Yes its a dl but since I have no legal way of watching it I feel like I am in the clear. Lol rewatched it again 3 botches in a row there from Ziggler, mis moving for the Rhodes ball shot, selling too early for the Cara elevated drop kick, and that one.</p>
  19. Think after the Eve comments etc I think they just decided to make it into a story line aspect for the CM Punk vs Cena thing. Don't think this was planned in advance but they just decided to pick it up as a plot device. Kinda turning a big negative into a small positive but the negative will linger. Can't comment on the show other then the booking as didn't watch it yet.
  20. <p>In theory everybody can be a champ question is if you want to see it. Would you be entertained by it long term, would it enhance the product as a whole? For me Santino champ is a hell no.</p><p> </p><p> Edit: Also there is a big difference to an inherently serious character with a goofy side Cena, Rock, Austin, DX etc and an inherently goofy character with a serious side Santino, EY, Snow, Ryder, Robbie E etc.</p>
  21. <p>You guys probably already know this but this is the best one yet imho with all the references etc.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div class="ipsEmbeddedVideo"><div><iframe width="200" height="113" src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/wZTxieh990E?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="" title="Are You Serious? - WCW continues to ruin everything - Episode 24"></iframe></div></div><p> </p><p> Spoilers:</p><p> </p><p> <span style="color:#FFFFFF;">Road Dogg not knowing Braden Walker, Smart Mark, Terra Ryzing, Drew Mcintyre underrated etc.</span></p>

I had a bunch of friends who went and said it was terrible, again just taking issue with the phrase "down right awesome" when the vibe I got was, "slightly less depressing than the first show" I'd love to see these great reviews the shows got. Considering how horrific the first show was, the second show would have had to have been at least a little bit of an improvement</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Maybe he took a page out of WWE's book, suck most of the time so that anything good that happens stands out more. Cheap joke I know.</p>
  23. Yeah he got cashed in upon by Punk's second briefcase turning Punk heel and starting a pretty good program between the two.
