  1. -I already like the flow of booking a show better than 2016, and that's the kinda thing it usually takes me a really long time to adjust to (caveat: I haven't needed to use the arrows much yet) -I really like the new gimmick and attribute system! I wasn't sure from the journal whether I'd like that change. -I don't personally mind the UI. (as long as we can make it stop hurting my eyes, which seems like the kinda thing a skin or patch will fix really quickly) -AI booking seems better. Stable use is fun! -Haven't tried playing as a dev fed yet but it sounds like something I would enjoy. -The splash screens are neat! -Even though I'm a bit bummed that we don't seem able to customize individual regions, I think it's made up for by all the geographical info on the game world screen. Really helps me visualize how I want to lay out my mod! -I foresee using the whiteboard in the editor a lot. Also the notepad, if I can get to it from every screen! -Complete All Signings is one of those little things that just makes life nice.
  2. I'm thinking for editors, but could be useful in-game too. My workflow in 2016 was to make an event, hit "copy" until the name got too long, rename/re-date/tweak everything, and rinse and repeat until I had my twelve events. Doesn't work so hot in 2020, since you have to right-click to select and then it un-selects after you copy once. I'd either like my event to stay selected after copying, or you could even do a mass add type function ("give me a 2 hour TCW event on the fourth sunday every month")
  3. A lot of the time, when I'm looking to hire, I know I need a heel or a face to balance things out a bit, so I'd like a quick way to narrow that down. You can search by the attributes that cover face/heel ability, but there are a dang lot of them. I'd be happy with either bringing back the ol' "Can work as" drop/down, or separating it into face and heel dropdowns for "Yes/No/Bonus/Penalty."
  4. Can I still edit individual regions' importance/economy? How about area trends? If so, where?
  5. Minority (apparently) opinion: I actually kinda like the grid better than the non-grid for readability. Edit: ...On the skills. I'm booking my first show now and the Analysis screen is making my vision blur.
  6. Oh I didn't know we had a buncha education types here! I am also an education type. I have Zoom calls with some of my kids this afternoon and I am super psyched to see them but also super sad because that is like the exact window of time that we're guessing the demo to drop lol.
  7. When I had a Mac I partitioned it so I could run Windows. I'd like to pretend TEW wasn't the biggest reason, but it kinda was lol.
  8. One of my favorite EWR memories was when Beth Phoenix showed up in WWE...a few years after she was just some rando I brought in for my attempt at a women's division.
  9. I forget which combination of computer and TEW it was, but one time it was just a bit too big for my resolution but I fixed it by moving my taskbar to the left instead of at the bottom. Was a pain, but it worked.
  10. I don't know how I'm going to use this but I know I love it!
  11. Crusader Kings (and that whole family of games) is the kinda game I could really get into (which maybe goes without saying on a TEW forum?) but I haven't quite managed to get over the learning curve yet. That and I'm too nice- any kinda 4X game my playstyle is to just kinda sit in the corner, build up infrastructure, and ignore everybody else the best I can. Doesn't make for very exciting Paradox experiences
  12. I use Notepad pretty extensively, and sometimes the in-game notes to remember little things. It varies a bit from file to file because I like to set different rules and challenges for myself and that affects how far ahead I can plan, but my usual process: -Come up with the full card for next PPV -Mayyybe plan a few main events for the PPVs after that -Plan the stories leading up to that PPV on a show-by-show basis (keeping in mind how many angles I can fit on a show) -Usually that leaves a decent chunk of each TV show to fill in as I go. I make sure all my main eventers get on there, and rely pretty heavily on Creative Meeting to help me decide how to pad things out from there.
  13. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="BrokenCycle" data-cite="BrokenCycle" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46105" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>It's hard to be outrageously excited about the game when you're waiting so long.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I don't disagree that this was a kinda oddly timed journal (and I understand why it needed to be) but man I am at the level of hype where my heart skipped a beat when I saw there was a new dev thread post because there was an offchance it could be a demo release or date announcement.</p><p> </p><p> ....that said, I have forgotten most of the minor things announced by now.</p>
  14. I think it'd be an interesting challenge but yeah let's not. One thing that MIGHT be fun for a cheat/secret is a (non-copyright-infringing) version of a Thanos Snap cheat that just wipes out half the workers suddenly.
  15. <p>built-in music player app let's go</p><p> </p><p> call it iTEWnes</p>
  16. I kinda liked the 2016 one! I rarely actually wanted to hear it when booting up my game (usually either my computer is muted or already playing music) but it grew on me since I was too lazy to remove or replace it. I don't TEW music will ever surpass the sheer meme potential of KEEP IT HARDCORE but we've got to let Wrestling MPire have something I guess
  17. Is there a team? I always kinda figured this to be a one man (baaaaand) show plus playtesters, with other GDS people handling distribution or whatever.
  18. I would imagine that the attribute and push/pop stuff would merit a looking at, but I don't know beyond that. One of the reasons I want the demo is to see all this stuff in action!
  19. War of the Immortals kinda sorta plays into that as best as TEW can currently, but I don't know if it's been updated in the past several years/iterations. I suggested a "doesn't age" attribute for 2020 but I'll be pleasantly surprised if it gets implemented.
  20. I was gonna sarcastically offer to trade you TEW demo access for Wrestlemania tickets, but eh, the way WWE's been going, I'd rather be here anyway.
  21. Getting ready to reboot my mod project, unenthusiastically riding out the last hurrah of my ECW diary on another site, and refreshing the boards daily looking for demo news.
  22. I always try to book a good women's division but have a giant mental block on how to do so for some reason, so you either get boring, generic storylines, or eye candy ones when I was younger and had more hormones going on. The "women's division" push designation probably doesn't help.
