  1. Man I still don't entirely have my brain around how this is gonna work and it's making it really hard to wait for the demo.
  2. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="TeemuFoundation" data-cite="TeemuFoundation" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46105" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>TEW speedruns when?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Every time I start thinking "I kinda wanna try speedrunning" I think "wait what games do I know well enough to TRY to speedrun in the first place?" and then I get sidetracked trying to figure out a way to do a bingo race for TEW.</p>
  3. Gotcha, thanks. The demo kinda fills that "pre-release" role anyway, doesn't it? That's what I'm planning to mostly do with it before full release, anyway.
  4. Hey Adam, you mentioned at some point that roster sizes were going to be bigger than 2016. Is it possible to please get a bit more detailed info on that for mod-planning purposes?
  5. <p>Convert and (I sure hope) finally finish the mod I and some folks have been working on since 2013.</p><p> </p><p> Mod myself and some friends into Cornellverse (unless a RW mod comes out really quickly) and do a backyard fed</p>
  6. You can put it on the line like a title though, once you get to the finals!
  7. Something for Everyone: A mishmash of different styles and approaches. Fans accept a wide range of styles, but expect a certain level of variety every show. (So like, you could run all types of match without penalty, but you'll get more "the fans are expecting at least one match that is X Y or Z" notes)
  8. Took a stab at how I perceive of AEW: Old School Revival: Mixes traditional storytelling and presentation with modern workrate and flash. Maybe include variants with comedy or hardcore added? (EDIT: but yeah Nerdvana might actually fit them already)
  9. Even Keel: The worker tends to not react very strongly to events; positive and negative morale changes are dampened.
  10. <p>wHHHo booked this?: If an owner or a booker, this worker will use that authority to push themselves extra hard.</p><p> </p><p> Out of the spotlight: Will never book themselves to win a title.</p>
  11. Tempestuous: This worker creates and advances romantic relationships a lot faster than usual, but they are much more likely to end quickly and poorly.
  12. <strong>Sore Loser-</strong> Significantly underperforms in matches if not booked to win.
  13. <p><strong>Mental Health Issues:</strong> Increased risk of addictions and negative incidents. Small chance of suicide. (Could probably split this out into different types, but maybe that's not necessary)</p><p> </p><p> <strong>The Leslie Effect:</strong> Gimmicks deteriorate faster, but can also be changed more often.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Whatever is needed:</strong> Can turn more often without penalty, and less likely for a turn to bomb.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Big Personality:</strong> More likely to generate relationships and incidents, whether positive or negative.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Big Fish in a Small Pond:</strong> Likes being a key player, even if it means staying in a smaller fed. Cannot be stolen away from a fed giving them a main event push, unless he is guaranteed or likely to have the same in the new fed.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Part Timer:</strong> Will only sign contracts that require a limited number of shows.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>In it for the money:</strong> The more they are paid, the more willing they will be to be booked weakly.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Cosmetic/User-named tags:</strong> No in-game effect, but the modmaker (or player?) may want to use them for organizational purposes.</p><p> (such as how finished the worker is)</p><p> </p><p> And thinking of things that might not make sense for 90% of mods, but would be great for the weirder fantasy mods like the one I am working on....</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Doesn't age:</strong> This worker is, for whatever reason, essentially immortal. Their stats will neither grow nor decay due to natural progression, and they will retire much later than usual. (for like, robots and vampires and stuff)</p>
  14. I usually have some sorta ME-ish tag match as the main event, and the rest is things like ME > MC, or UM > MC. I don't have a set formula, but usually I have a few plot beats (matches or angles) sketched out that I want to cover for all my storylines, then I make sure all my MEs are on the card, then I just throw in whoever's left into whatever slots are left, with a mix of prospects I want to develop, people I haven't used in a bit, and just plain good/over workers.
  15. It may be a "very minor change" but that Editor Whiteboard might be a gamechanger for me and my modding buddies!
  16. I have an ECW game going. Starting to lose steam on it but I don't know that I want to bother starting a new one at this point so this is probably it!
  17. I doubt Piper is a great choice, but I'd like to see someone try!
  18. I would miss the old categories and stuff, and the ability to draw inspiration from filtering a list, but this sounds like a net positive anyway. Tentatively in favor of the change, but I don't want to see it dumbed down TOO much.
  19. I'd say about two parts playing favorites, one part mechanics (who has good feud options? who has good stats?), and one part what makes storyline sense. (....to me, at least!) I also tend to play games with reader input or other restrictions, and therefore tend to focus more on month-to-month rather than long sweeping plans and stories. My title reigns tend to be like 4-6 months, and rarely booked farther ahead than the next title change. I also tend to spread the love with the singles titles, rather than giving somebody multiple runs.
  20. <p>-Back in the EWR days, I was giving Nunzio a bit of storyline because of a meme. He got to the main event!</p><p> </p><p> -Heath Slater managed to become one of my top heels in a draft game. I've always had a soft spot for the dude, but that was a weird one.</p><p> </p><p> -I brought Chavo Guerrero back in WWE to give him "a decent midcard run" because I always felt he never got what he deserved. Said run took him to the WWE title, in part because I was running a reader prediction contest and one prize stipulated that I had to run a PPV in Mexico, and he did well with it!</p>
  21. Things that have worked for me are setting rules for myself (for example the Road to Glory, or anything in the "give me rules" thread) and actually writing up my shows. When I run a dynasty/diary/whatever, I get much more immersed in actually thinking through my storylines and shows- I imagine it would work even if I didn't post it anywhere, but if you do post it, feedback can help too! (and if you run some sort of prediction contest, you can take care of the first idea at the same time)
  22. Load times can be a bit long if you use a big mod, so maybe don't run it on the slowest computer in the world. Runs pretty decently on my not-gaming laptop when I'm not using my ridiculously bloated personal mod, though!
  23. <p>The AI is taking WCW in an odd direction</p><p> <img alt="c4abb815dcd38867db221ee64aac7391.png" data-src="https://i.gyazo.com/c4abb815dcd38867db221ee64aac7391.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  24. <p>Not quite following re:depth, but I'll take your word for it, thanks!</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="edenborn" data-cite="edenborn" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46105" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Great as this all is, where's the <strong><em>storytelling?</em></strong></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I feel like this might be asking a bit much of procedural-generation booking. (unless you want it replaced with, like, WS3/Older-TEW style set piece storylines, which I certainly don't)</p>
