  1. A couple, to answer your question, formerly-of-Michigan Hero. Not many, I'll confess. But then again, that doesn't really mean anything. I could list dozens of bands with strange quirks, and it doesn't make Ghost Mice any more worth listening to, if you didn't like them to begin with (for instance). Here's another one, now that I'm thinking -- Radiohead. How many bands can get that much mainstream coverage, and still be welcomed with open arms by the indie community?
  2. Vampire Weekend is infectious, and you'll want to have that looked at.
  3. See, and I'm not sure how I feel about this yet, but he's acting like a crazy person. I know the littlest bit about that new-age type stuff, and all he's saying is gibberish. On one hand, if I thought his character was supposed to be taken at face value as someone who just thinks that astrology and stuff is all gospel truth, I'd think it was a shallow character. But as someone who's gone off the deep end and is having trouble putting together entirely logical thoughts, I like him.
  4. My daddy always said not to talk to strangers. ... this is awkward.
  5. Is Brian Kendrick supposed to be weird? Because I haven't watched for about a month, and I decided to watch this week's episode. And Kendrick was acting... pretty weird in my estimation.
  6. @supershot Mostly because I find a woman with muscle attractive. Enough that they look tough. Then there's the fact that Beth is muscular, but also has a nice figure.
  7. Beth Phoenix. I don't really know the past divas well enough to say on that.
  8. The pros generally stick around after their rookie is eliminated, though. Except Carlito, but we all know about that.
  9. What's everyone's opinion of Lucky Cannon? He's the only one of the rookies I don't really have an opinion on at this point, as far as whether or not to actually like him.
  10. Exactly. I mean, I know that they share talent to an extent, but being booked on all of them in the space of a month? Seems funny.

It's a little old hat; I'm still actively seeking information about the Bryanson thing, but I think the points that are currently out there are discussed ad nauseum.</p>
  12. <p>OPINION TIEM! Deadliest Warrior is the dumbest show I've ever seen. Not because the premise is flawed, no sir, but because the people they bring on it seem to think that because they know about historical badasses, that makes them, by extention, a badass.</p><p> </p><p> EDIT (8 hours later. YEAH BOYYYY.) - I now somewhat see what the idea is behind Zach Ryder is. I'm not sure how to feel about him any more, since the gimmick itself is inherently funny, but not in the way that involves a whole lot of me really loving it even as a joke. But that's a step up from me finding him confusing and dumb.</p>
  13. I'm racking my brain for people I think are good, viable contenders for the Dublya Doublya E Championship, that haven't been champ yet. I can't think of any at this point, though if Miz or Morrison got a good solid push for a couple months I guess they could be made into contenders. Wade Barrett's an unknown quantity as far as what push they're going to give him. But that seems to be it.
  14. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="bigphesta" data-cite="bigphesta" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25169" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Obviously , you have NO idea what racism is. Pointing out someone is the whitest person you've ever seen is not racist. Moron.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Okay, now I'm confused.</p><p> </p><p> We need to define what insensitive comments about skin color are and aren't racist.</p><p> </p><p> Is it racist to declare that black people have an advantage in fights taking place at night?</p>
  15. <p>Well, the E was still advertising appearances by Bryan at least a week after he got fired, so as far as putting out a toy that breaks the storyline firing (if it is that, which I'm only assuming for the sake of discussion), I can't say I would put it past them.</p><p> </p><p> EDIT: On the other hand, that is actually LOWER quality than their Build N' Brawl line; Danielson looks like Gregory House; and, why does Danielson's genital-region come as a separate piece?</p>
  16. <p><img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/cool.png.f00d2562b2c1d873a09323753efdb041.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/cool.png.f00d2562b2c1d873a09323753efdb041.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> EDIT: Also, LOL CHOKING HAZARD</p><p> </p><p> EDIT 2: This looks shopped. I can tell from some of the pixels and from seeing quite a few shops in my time.</p>
  17. <p>Marathon NXT watching session in preparation for this week, since I haven't watched since the end of season 1.</p><p> </p><p> LOVING Percy Watson, primarily because he's got a nice physique, and has that "used to be an athlete" thing going, but looks and acts like a dork.</p><p> </p><p> On the other hand, I have to take back what I said a few weeks ago about LayCool. Whenever they're not doing their pre-practiced stuff (like trying to talk together) they are both pretty fun on the mic, reminding me of what I liked about John Morrison as a heel.</p><p> </p><p> Can someone explain Zach Ryder to me? I mean, I know that he's a New Jersey (?) stereotype, but I don't know anything about the stereotype, and I don't really get his catchphrase. To me, it'd be like if someone's catchphrase was "poolbear." Which would be really cool if someone could come up with a logical explaination for it actually.</p><p> </p><p> Also, Michael McGillicutty looks to me EXACTLY like Jamie Noble. It's the weirdest thing.</p>
  18. Personally, I don't like Sheamus because I'm not very happy with his mic work. It's that simple.
  19. Speaking of the JBL way out -- Funny thing, my girlfriend works at a CVS. They sell WWE action figures (cheap ones, from the looks of them) and there's been the same JBL figure there for at least a year.
  20. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Hyde Hill" data-cite="Hyde Hill" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25170" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Kaz played it during the figure unveiling and as said before there was a debate between either Okada or Kiyoshi and they went with Kiyoshi.<p> </p><p> Edit: Hmm from the intro you would not think it's a B show given the stars they show.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> No, you would indeed think it's a B show.</p><p> </p><p> They showed Hardy and RVD, sure, and while they're ME material and being pushed as ME guys, they don't have that Main Event "rarely in serious televised matches" vibe like you tend to get with most main event folks.</p><p> </p><p> It's especially obvious in the E, sure, but even in ROH you tend to see one or two main event guys actually in a match, outside of PPV. In TNA, they tend to have a main eventer or two, and then Jeff and RVD wrestling on most shows.</p>
  21. As much as I tend to agree that he'll get destroyed, this seems totally typical for Batista. Every comment I've heard regarding his backstage demeanor is that he's an ungrateful jerk with no respect for the business.
  22. Ouch. Flipping between iMPACT and Superstars? If that's not a negative review then I don't know what is. Maybe everyone else can disagree, but I don't like Superstars at ALL. It's more Todd Grisham than I want, with not enough storyline. If it were even just more-or-less coherent in-ring story, I'd be happy with it, but no. It's three random matches. Unless they've changed the formatting since January.
