  1. You know what I want to see, actually? I want to see Taker against Barrett, have the Corre come out and Taker clean house. Then I want to see Barrett hit his finisher, maybe build a little more, maybe not, and then have someone interfere to make Barrett lose. I know it kinda makes things unpleasant for previous folks who lost to Taker to have him decked out and win by interference, but I'd like to see Barrett get a certain amount of rub from Taker—though I don't think he deserves the streak. Could just be me though. I might be stupid.
  2. Sorry, Remi, but even though the match was good (more on that in a minute) the size difference between Nattie and Kong, along with the Puro style of having super-exaggerated facial expressions had me lol'ing all day~. That said, might just be that I was watching TNA back when they were selling Kong as this incredible monster, but seeing Nattie hit a German Suplex on her like it was nothing did surprise me.
  3. Almost all signature moves are weak if they're done generically. Sweet Chin Music? It's just a kick in the face. Go To Sleep? Same as a flying knee, essentially. Attitude Adjustment? Body slam. Shining Wizard? Completely impressive in every way.
  4. Until you break an arm due to one. Yeah, arm bars are srs bidness.
  5. Already posted, Two. But I enjoyed it the first time. Anyone know where I can find a high-res version of that? PM me please.
  6. (cut for emphasis) JR is almost certainly under an NDA, so if Sting had signed a contract he would not be able to take that into account in his blog—come to think of it, if he brought up the rumor that would probably be seen as disclosure as well—and to the best of my knowledge the fact that he's no longer under contract at TNA is essentially speculation. Now, on the other hand, as a viewer, I can take both those rumors into account.
  7. It's a point for debate, sure. But if it's gonna be Sting vs. Taker at WM, why would you have Sting running around without Taker? Just a thought. Obviously there's always the chance that we've wildly misinterpreted.
  8. I want surfer Sting in SvR. If I can get that without having to play around with CAW, then I will... I dunno what I'll do but it will be a definitely positive reaction. If I were booking it (mind that I'm not a great booker) I would not put Sting in a match before WM. I'd have something like... having Miz or Nexus open RAW with some whiny speech, then BAM! Lights out, and everyone's knocked out as Taker shows up to call everyone on the planet a whimp, or something. Taker apparently likes to have a hand in that sort of thing, so go crazy. After a minute or two of that, again, lights out, and then have Sting be... wherever. On top of the Tron, on the stage, in the rafters, in the ring, whatever. Then you have a brief promo ("I want the streak, Mark!" or something), and he stalks off. Then, the next week, Nexus is up to their old tricks and Sting starts to intervene. Then they decide to turn on him and he cleans up shop before walking off again. This somewhat has a few unintended effects—namely, that it sets up for a Nexus-Sting feud rather than a Taker-Sting feud—but there are few other groups who indiscriminantly attack people, and we want Sting to clean up 4-5 guys in a matter of seconds. From that point on you have him show his face once or twice a show, not talking, and maybe have his music hit at convenient times with nothing really happening except the announcers going "OH MY GOD IS IT STING?!" Jerry Lawler can do that pretty well, I'd think. Then I guess that actually gives Stinger something to do for the rest of the year, come to think of it.
  9. There are ways, IMO, you can give him a monster push and have him ready to push Taker to the limit and not look like a fool. But who knows. Also, that poster is EPIC.
  10. Natalya v. Beth v. Kong for the Diva's title. Preferably with Beth winning. I like Beth so darn much. Only woman I wouldn't fast-forward. (Actually Natty is a close second) Well, okay, I don't actually fast-forward. I just pay more attention to the computer.
  11. That said, I don't know how to feel about the winner. On one hand, I have really liked what I've seen of him: I like his look, I like how charismatic he is, and he's not terribly boring in the ring (I can't judge because I get burned out really fast watching matches closely, so I tend to watch while doing other things). On the other hand, I only watch RAW, and that means the storyline followup is gonna be completely irrelevant to me.
  12. I, personally, was dying for some spoilers, but you should white that out before someone who didn't want any gets mad.
  13. I didn't buy the PPV, but I've been following a live blog—what makes you say that?
  14. Is it just me or is Miz v. Orton coming off a lot like Jericho v. Rock at Royal Rumble 2002? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXvSzEkfBQ8&feature=related)
  15. That's true. I guess I can see that. But that example in particular really sold me on Tenryu (not as much Brody... c'est la vis) so I wanted to declare that I liked it. I guess.
  16. Actually that match in particular (Tenryu vs Brody) felt like, to me, it ended with "Woah man that was awesome!" Even though to an extent I really wanted Tenryu to win (I don't know if it was just me because I haven't been able to find anything except the title matches, but it seemed like he was being booked as a wild man with no morals or self control, and Tenryu was this sorta heroic dude. So I was marking pretty hard at the time.) I felt like it really made the threat seem kinda "real" that Tenryu, this big heroic figure who looked like he could piledrive a bear couldn't take him out. But... could just be my taste.
  17. Wow. WWE is dropping like a stone. Apparently it's because they released their profit expectations and it's not what people were expecting (like... WAY lower than analysts predicted), according to fool.com—though it has risen about 1 point since the article I'm seeing was written.
  18. He's gay. Stereotypically, flamboiyantly gay. That's the reference I'm seeing here.
  19. I find that the biggest trouble with Puro is not really getting into it—it's finding it. For instance, I went looking for 80s-90s AJPW a while ago, to really try to understand King's Road and that sort of thing. Well, actually, there is a lot of Triple Crown match video out there. But if it's not a championship match? You can forget it. Same thing with ZERO-1. Haven't been able to find a video, legitimate or not, since 2001. They have a schedule that runs to this day, and it's just like nobody's video taping it. (And since NJPW, AJPW, and ZERO-1 are the only things I can seem to muster an interest in... well, there's only so many different matches that Prince Devitt's gonna have, especially in singles, so that pretty much leaves me with a limited amount of Puro I can watch.)
  20. Ironically, I like CM Punk a lot more than Cena. Like his look better; like his mic work better. Like his ring work better. Am I a slave to the IWC? Only time will tell.
  21. Summerslam was when he said, so I went off that time period. Orton turned at WM, but Trips and HBK both left at the same time -- WM. Edge came back at Royal Rumble, meaning he was back for ALMOST the whole year. Or... did you mean 2009? Cause that would injure my argument. I thought he meant "last summerslam." Silly me.
  22. Cena, Taker, Orton, Edge(? Can't keep track of his disposition NOW, never mind a year ago, so I'm guessing), Trips but he's out on injury.
  23. I just like keeping up with storylines. To be honest, even though I like the in-ring action, I don't care as much about it as the stuff that's going on with mics in hands. ROH has better characters that I care about more, and when I do get in-ring action it's usually for a reason, so I like their show better than WWE's shows most of the time. Of course, I could easily *censored* the HDNet show, but that would be murder for my seeding ratio...
  24. Like I said, I can't get HDNet. My cable provider does not offer it. I managed to catch a whole episode before we changed providers, ironically to a bigger provider, only to discover that HDNet isn't on Bright House, you can't get it. So I started watching on rohbrazil. Then that's down. So now I don't watch ROH. Wheeee, brand strength diminishing...
  25. I have a closely related question for everyone which will temporarily venture into ROH territory for the sake of discussion. Now, I think we've seen pretty much everyone's opinion on pirating, so I've been trying to avoid instigating another huge fight over it, which was hard because I love to answer every comment. But my question is this: Over the past year or so, a YouTube channel called rohbrazil was uploading the ROH material that showed on HDNet. Recently (mid-October), HDNet came to them and requested that they take down their material, and not put any more up, which rohbrazil complied with. Now, considering that HDNet is only available in the US, and only to certain cable networks, do you think HDNet made the right decision to close down this channel? (For instance I know I can't get HDNet. Can't even pay extra for it, my cable provider has refused to deal with HDNet.)
