Yeah, sign me up please (for three years). Logan was let go by PSW at Match 2018 and somehow no-one haven´t signed him yet so I finally pulled the trigger on signing him. Not having much earlier experience on him but he seems almost Silencer level steal and is ten years younger too, the only down side is that he has no popularity so it takes a bit of time for him to catch up but there had to be some flaw for this bargain. Logan will work as heel and I plan to pair him with Texas Hangman for the time being and have both of them work with Cobra who´s finally going to get his stable that I have planned for him for a long time. While plan is to pair Logan with Hangman at the moment, I fully expect him to outgrow the team (and the stable) at some point and the expection is that Logan would eventually be singles wrestler and likely main eventer (assuming he doesn´t get stolen which he likely will at some point). However, that´s for the future, right now he will be a henchman and low popularity means he has some catching up to do even compered to other low card guys.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="NaloB3a.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NaloB3a.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Nate DeMarcus</p><p> Age: 24</p><p> Popularity in USA: F+ (E- in Mid Atlantic)</p><p> Face, Happy-Go-Lucky</p><p> Nate ain´t as big of a deal compered to Logan but still looks to be solid with D average on his matches in MAW before being released in June 2017 and can hopefully help my midcard to deliver better ratings. His intependence work has been far less great with E+ match average but that still ok ratings in our standards so here´s hoping. DeMarcus asked 600$ per show and while that is a decently high prize to pay compered to some other roster members, I´m willing to do that and signed him for two years. Plan is to pair Nate with Garry The Entertainer as happy-go-lucky team that hopefully could become one of the corner stones for (hopefully) eventual tag division but we see how that goes.</p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p>

Not that Queen winning the belt itself is a surprise, I believe that everyone saw that coming when Silencer didn´t get the belt but the timing might be a bit of a surprise. The main reason why I think timing was a bit unnormal was that I usually have three 1 vs. 1 matches during a feud (as most of you have no doubt figured out by now) and that wins tend to go 2 -1 (in cases were the belt is meant to change owner) so logical thing would be to give Smooth the first win. That is my usual MO but occasionally there´s a need to change the format a bit in order to avoid being too easy to read and I have certain reasons to book this feud the way I did but we will talk on that more a bit later as talking it now would likely reveal too much. As for Queen getting the belt, he haven´t been top performer in a way that Smooth or Silencer have been so most logical thing would have been giving the belt to Silencer but Queen and Smooth both being "undefeated" (in terms of storyline ending matches both have obviously lost multiple matches during their ESE careers) was too good of a storyline to pass and Queen was one of the original top three and with Joe and Smooth already being champs, it made sense to me to give the belt to Queen next. Also. as good as Silencer is, I still see him as a new guy and I´d like my champion to be someone who has already been in the company for some time (again, this is a rule that I could occasinally break for the same reason I broke my usual "champ wins the first encounter" rule). </p><p> </p><p> On other matches, Eagle lost to Whittakar mostly to get Whittaker back to 18 popullarity while the interference forwards the actual storyline. Joe over Cobra was a bit painful to do, mostly because I figure that Joe is only going to gain one point while Cobra will no doubt drop to 17 again but the storyline I had on mind works best this way so the likely popularity loss just have to be taken. Silencer got some promo time mainly because two out of the three feuds were progressed with matches while Garry got another win in order to try to get his momentum up (it was still minor negative) while other participants on the tag match were mostly there just to gain some popularity although I made sure that I threw both Deuce and Kirk in there with them being in the same storyline just to have them being bit more part of it by clashing with each other´s as well. I praised Silencer, Smooth and complimented Hangman after the show, the first two because they were awesome as usual (and Smooth lost without complain and made a lot better work than Queen) while Hangman got a nob simply by being on the other side of a D rated undercard match even if Silencer did most of the work there. Eagle also decided to phone his performance again and I´m really tempted to just fire him at the spot but I will at least have him put Revell over on the next show and then decide if I´m done with him or if I just want to job him to everyone until he gets the point and leaves by his own accord. Either way, he´s not staying for long and I´m seriously questioning if I should continue his storyline with Revell past the next show.</p><p> </p><p> main event: Smooth: 23, Queen: 24, Seth: 19, Silencer: 24 </p><p> upper midcard: Jolson: 18, Revell: 18, Joe: 18, Whittaker: 17</p><p> midcard: Cobra: 17 Eagle: 17, Garry: 17, Drury:11, Mortimer: 17, </p><p> lower midcard: Deuce: 12, Hurakan: 10, Funk: 10, Hangman: 11</p><p> Opener: Night: 8 </p><p> </p><p> Smooth lost 4 points which is a huge drop but not completely unexpected (and makes the fact that he didn´t complain about the loss that much more meaningful). Queen gained two points so not a good trade off but again, it´s about what I expected based on how popularity drops/gains have worked for me so far during this save. Joe gained a point while Cobra lost two so it´s the same story than with Smooth and Queen while Whittaker sadly didn´t get anything from beating Eagle. Hangman gained three points, while Hurakan, Deuce and Drury all gained two points.</p><p> </p><p> In terms of roster update, I decided to pull the trigger and sign two new guys into my roster. Main reason for this was that with the production penalties and loss of Seth Whitehead (yeah, I call it a loss and no, I´m not changing the date to hold the shows just to get him back), I have suddenly started to have a feeling that I have too few guys that I could trust to deliver ratings now that even D+ main events only result into E+ show ratings. However, at the same time, I´m still would like to stop losing money (not happening anytime soon but it´s good to have goals, right?) so new guys would need to be cheap as well, not an easy thing to do but I did found one gem and another guy who I have some hope as well. On finances side, we lost 1786$ this month. On contract news, Cobra was signed by PSW, bit bad timing as you can see from next post but luckily PSW hold shows on Friday week 3 only once during a year (April) so I still have him 11 out of 12 months. On a flip side, it´s always nice to see that your talent gets signed elsewhere as I do view that as proof that I´m doing something right and that exposure wrestlers gain with me is actually helping them on their careers. Speaking of contract, Smooth also signed a contract extension with FCW.</p></div><p></p><p></p>
  3. I actually ended up talking about Garry a lot in the post show on this card so some of this will be repeated back there but I´m pretty certain that Garry got a great destiny roll on this save as he´s showing up everywhere on the creative meating, being only next big things, 1st on hot prospects, only guy in talk the talk, first on show stoppers and second only after Joe in ring generals. That said, those list ain´t everything since neither Smooth nor Silencer ain´t anywere to be seen other than franchise players and event there, Smooth is dead last behind Silencer, Seth Whitehead and Quentin Queen. And while it´s true that Garry´s personal performance in matches have been around E+ and D-, same can be said on pretty much every main player I have outside of Smooth and Silencer, with Cobra being the only one else who frequently get better than E+ as his rating (and even him usually just gets D- with occasional D) so it´s not like Garry´s performance is worse than my other top guys. Joe is admittedly on bit of a rough spot at the moment as he´s my most expensive guy and he just haven´t performed quite as well as I hoped and so he´s currrently used to help build up Whittaker and now Cobra who I´m hoping to push into main event scene. That said, I do hope to keep Joe if I can affort him but his going to get more of a midcard role which I think suits him better than the main event spot he filled at the beginning. Cobra, as I have said before, is my favorite guy so far from this diary and I finally hope to build him up for the main event spot that he´s shown he deserves. Queen is indeed a step down compered to Silencer so ratings are going to be bit lower and like Joe, Queen haven´t quite managed to get constantly good ratings. That said, I still plan to push him as main event player as one of the best things on running promotion this small is that pretty much anyone can be main eventer and I specifically choice a location where I wouldn´t suffer from regional battles in order to get more freedom for my booking. As for Smooth´s stats, I always play with fog of war on so here´s what I see. Well, that isn´t particularly informative so here´s the stats with fog of war turned off: For reference, here´s Garry´s current stats: Sounds like someone ain´t going to be happy about an incoming roster move. July 2018 Friday, week 3 ESE Eternal Storm San Juan High School (Puerto Rico) Attendance: 300 1 vs. 1 vs. Garry The Entertainer vs. Mad Dog Mortimer In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but terrible wrestling, Garry The Entertainer defeated Mad Dog Mortimer in 5:55 by pinfall with a Pants Pull Sunset Flip. Notes: Garry and Mortimer don´t click at all Performance: Garry: E+, Mortimer: E- WINNER: Garry The Entertainer by pinfall 5:55 E ANGLE: Eagle comes into ring before the tag match with Dustin Deuce who Eagle informs will be his tag partner against Drury and Revell. Eagle also tells that he can´t understand why Drury wants to send a hitman after him after losing a match clean but that if they want to play that way then Eagle is ready to fight and Revell will find out that Eagle is not an easy target because he will fight not just for himself but to upheld American values and hiring other´s to do your dirty work is most certainly not the American way. He also thanks Deuce on standing beside him tonight against the heel pair. Deuce declares that no thanks is necassery as just like Eagle, he fights against crooks where ever he finds ones and tonight, they are going to kick a wannabe cowboy and a pretty boy back were they came from. E 2 vs. 2 & vs. & Dustin Deuce & Freedom Eagle vs. Kirk Drury & Outlaw Wes Revell In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, Kirk Drury and Outlaw Wes Revell defeated Freedom Eagle and Dustin Deuce in 8:10 when Outlaw Wes Revell defeated Dustin Deuce by submission. Outlaw Wes Revell carried the match in terms of in-ring performance. Notes: Eagle completely phoned his performance, Deuce was really off his game, Revell was really off his game, Eagle and Deuce had great chemistry Performance: Deuce: E-, Eagle: E-, Drury: E-, Revell: E+ WINNERS: Kirk Drury and Outlaw Wes Revell by pinfall in 8:10 E 1 vs. 1 vs. Regular Joe vs. Hurakan In a poor match, Regular Joe defeated Hurakan in 6:34 by pinfall with a Joe And Behold. Notes: Joe seemed off his game Performance: Joe: E+, Hurukan: E- WINNER: Regular Joe by pinfall in 6:33 E+ ANGLE: After his match, Joe takes a microphone and demands Cobra into rinside to answer why he attacked Joe in last show. Cobra does show up and explains that he simply did what snakes always do. Strike when the time is right and right now, it´s right time for him to target Joe because let´s face it, Joe is going downhill after losing his belt as now it´s time for Cobra to both avenge his losses tha he suffered to Joe back in 2016 and to make a name for himself by destroying former champion before Joe´s fame completely vanishes do to his poor performance. Joe doesn´t take this explains well, telling Cobra that if he thinks that Joe is weak and that he can be used as stepping stone then he´s going to have a hard awakening in front of him. Cobra doesn´t seem frightened, simply pointing out that that´s exactly what Joe said to Whittaker and Smooth and Joe still ended up looking arena lights when everything was said and done so does Joe really expect differend results this time? Joe seems slighly hesitant, like his doubting a bit if Cobra could be right but answers that yes, he does expect things to chance and beating Cobra could well be just the thing to set Joe back up again. D 1 vs. 1 vs. Jules Night vs. Cobra In a poor match, Cobra defeated Jules Night in 6:56 by submission with a Viper Vice. Notes: Performance: Night: E, Cobra: D WINNER: Cobra by submssion in 6:56 D- 2 vs. 2 & vs. & Quentin Queen & The Silencer vs. Austin Smooth & Whitehorse Whittaker In a decent match, Quentin Queen and The Silencer defeated Austin Smooth and Whitehorse Whittaker in 12:12 when Quentin Queen defeated Whitehorse Whittaker by pinfall with a Q-Ball. Notes: Performance: Queen: D-, Silencer: D+, Smooth: D+, Whittaker: D- WINNERS: Quentin Queen & The Silencer by pinfall in 12:12 D+ Show Rating: E+ Comments: Regular Joe lifted up the mood before the show by organizing and winning a video game tournament. The main and semi-main delivered but undercard was slighly disappointing, although that is to be expected with the current roster. Eagle didn´t do any favors for himself by phoning his performance, I´m not going to react on that but any chance he has to become anything else than a jobber is pretty much gone by now so expect him to put Revell over on the current storyline and while he´s going to get few wins over other jobbers just because of him currently being in a storyline, once that´s over he´s going to be on job duty until he´s contract runs out and I can kick him out. The main event was obviously stagged with likely my best (or at least most over) guys in one match. Queen and Silencer got the win mostly to put Queen over Smooth before an eventual title match but also because I hoped to spread Smooth´s popularity to not only Queen but also to Silencer. I would have wanted to have someone less over than Whittaker on second heel spot but I had already decided that Revell would be in the other tag match (as the angle told in last show) and wanted Cobra to be elsewhere on the card and not be on the losing side. Other heels just didn´t have populairty or skills to hang in the main event so Whittaker was the only available guy who I trusted enough to put into main even spot. Hopefully his popularity ain´t hurt by taking the fall there but he was slighly unhappy on taking the fall so I´d assume he´s popularity is going to take a hit. Other than that, the second tag match was the first match I decided on this card back when making the last card so that was going to be locked. On other three matches, I simply wanted to give wins to other top guys, namely Joe, Cobra and Garry, the latter who is quickly rising from jobber to at least upper midcard guy as Garry recently broke into both show stopper (top spot over Queen who also recently got into same list) and ring general (second after just Regular Joe) lists while still being the only guy in talk the talk and next big thing lists. I forgot that Garry and Mortimer had bad chemistry with each other´s but decided to have the match anyway when the game reminded me as pushing Garry to 18 popularity sounded like a good idea. I praised Cobra, Night and Silencer this time, Cobra and Silencer for their usual awesome performance and Night for being able to hang with Cobra out there and delivering pretty good semi main event on our standards. main event: Smooth: 27, Queen: 22, Seth: 19, Silencer: 24 upper midcard: Cobra: 19, Jolson: 18, Revell: 18, Whittaker: 17 midcard: Eagle: 17, Garry: 17, Drury: 9, Mortimer: 17, Joe: 17 lower midcard: Deuce: 10, Funk: 10, Night: 8, Hangman: 8 Opener: Hurakan: 8 Smooth dropping a point was expected and made up by Queen gaining 2 points and Silencer gaining one. That said, Whittaker dropping from 20 all the way back to 17 certainly hurted him and getting back up there takes a lot of time. Garry not gaining a point was also a disappointment but then again, Mortimer didn´t lose a point either. On finances, I lost 2 216$ this time around
  4. June 2018 Friday, week 3 ESE Eternal Storm San Juan High School (Puerto Rico) Attendance: 300 ANGLE: Austin Smooth starts the show by typical fashion, praising himself and telling how wonderful he is. Despite him being high on himself, it´s hard to argue his track record as he had beaten every single opponent who has come to his way and that is quite nice list including names like Seth Whitehead, Regular Joe and The Silencer. Smooth tells audience that it´s obvious that no-one could beat him by now and that he has beaten every single creditable challenger by now. That´s were he´s interrupted as Quentin Queen comes to ringside and remind Smooth that he haven´t beaten him and in fact, the only time they fought so far, it was Queen who walked away as winner, although Queen readily admits that Smooth was distracted by outside interference there so it wasn´t a clean win. And while Smooth indeed has impressive array of opponents who he has defeated, Queen himself has also beaten every opponent who came to his way, including Cobra, Mad Dog Mortimer and Outlaw Wes Revell and now it´s time to see which one of the two of them will continue undefeated as Queen challengers Smooth for a title match. Smooth doesn´t seem happy about this but even he has to admit that Queen has indeed defeated his opponents and while they aren´t on the same caliber than Smooth and the guys he´s beaten, he knows that ESE´s incompetend authorities would ok the match regardless of what he says so Queen best kiss his win streak good bye because Smooth is going to pin him in the title match 1 - 2 - 3 and prove again that he is the greatest wrestlers in ESE. D+ 1 vs. 1 vs. Regular Joe vs. Texas Hangman In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, Regular Joe defeated Texas Hangman in 6:24 by pinfall with a Joe And Behold. Notes: Joe and Hangman don´t seem to click. Performance: Joe: E, Hangman: E- WINNER: Regular Joe by pinfall in 6:24 E ANGLE: Joe doesn´t get time to celebrate his victory as Cobra attacks him right after his match and beats Joe down while O´Hara wonders why an earth is this attack happening? E- 1 vs. 1 vs. Freedom Eagle vs. Kirk Drury In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, Freedom Eagle defeated Kirk Drury in 6:32 by pinfall with a Freedom Slam. Notes: - Performance: Eagle: E, Drury: E- WINNER: Freedom Eagle by pinfall in 6:32 E 1 vs. 1 vs. 1 vs. vs. Jazz Funk vs. Jules Night vs. Whitehorse Whittaker In a poor match, Whitehorse Whittaker defeated Jules Night and Jazz Funk in 7:32 when Whitehorse Whittaker defeated Jazz Funk by pinfall with a Canadian Stun Gun. Whitehorse Whittaker carried the match in terms of in-ring performance. Notes: Funk was off his game Performance: Funk: E-, Night: E- Whittaker: D- WINNER: Whitehorse Whittaker by pinfall in 7:32 E+ ANGLE: Drury comes to ring to complain his loss against Eagle, complaining that Eagle almost broke his nose and messed his ravishing looks and that ESE´s officials should ban Eagle for that. Cowboy Wes Revell comes to ring and tells Kirk that he should know that officials wouldn´t do a thing to that but if Kirk wants to right the wrong done to him, Revell is willing to do so, for a right prize of course. Kirk likes the idea but wonders if Revell´s is up on the task, after all he did fail to deliver with his last contract. Revell admits that Quentin Queen indeed proved to be better gunslinger but that´s exactly why he came here to offer his servises as he needs to redeem himself and as such, he´s willing to take this bounty for half of the prize and Kirk even gets a free preview next month as he and Revell could tag against Eagle and whoever would be stupid enough to team with him. Kirk likes what he´s hearing and tells Revell that he has a deal and that he will look forward on watching Eagle getting his punisment for messing up with Kirk´s looks. E 1 vs. 1 vs. Quentin Queen vs. Hurukan In a poor match, Quentin Queen defeated Hurakan in 7:59 by pinfall with a Q-Ball. Notes: Queen was really off his game. Queen´s gimmick is becoming stale. Performance: Queen: E+, Hurukan: E- WINNER: Quentin Queen by pinfall in 7:59 E+ 1 vs. 1 vs. Garry The Entertainer vs. Austin Smooth In a decent match, Austin Smooth defeated Garry The Entertainer in 12:02 by submission with a Smooth Hold. Notes: Performance: Garry: D-, Smooth: D+ WINNER: Austin Smooth by pinfall in 12:02 D Show Rating: E+ Comments: This was a filler show so I take the E+ with all the production penalties we currently got. It´s likely going to stay this way for a while but hopefully we can start getting back to D- range once the new guys have gained bit more experience and popularity and thus hopefully could help to produce bit better undercard matches. Booking wise, this show was mostly there to set up the next three feuds with Smooth vs. Queen being the main one as those two have been the top two guys so far in terms of feud wins with both being on the winning side three times (out of three feuds they have been in). Other than that, Joe against Cobra is a a feud that I expect decent results as well while Eagle against Revell is less likely to deliver and with Eagle´s additude problems, it´s likely not hard to tell who I plan to win this feud (at least currently, things can always change). I also decided to throw Drury and Deuce in this feud (on support roles), mostly because I needed reason for Revell to go against Eagle and it would have felt odd if the guy who hired Revell wouldn´t show up at all and since two against one ain´t exactly what I had on mind (after all the current idea is to push Revell not Eagle), I threw Deuce in there as well to even the odds mainly because he had that good tag chemistry with Eagle so I figured I might as well have them tag once or twice during this. Other than that, I mainly wanted to make sure to use as many of the new signings as possible in order to help raise their popularity a bit while established guys got some momentum building wins on newbies expense. Austin vs. Garry was a main event that I could expect to deliver and it shouldn´t hurt Garry at all (in fact, I hope he gains popularity out from that). I praised Smooth, Garry and Whittaker after the show as they were really the only guys who performed well tonight with everyone else being either slight disappointment or performing as expected. Queen´s gimmick was tweaked after the show as well. main event: Smooth: 28, Queen: 20, Seth: 19, Silencer: 23 upper midcard: Cobra: 19, Jolson: 18, Revell: 18, Whittaker: 20 midcard: Eagle: 17, Garry: 17, Funk: 10, Mortimer: 17, Joe: 17 lower midcard: Deuce: 8, Hurukan: 6, Drury: 7, Hangman: 8 Opener: Night: 6 This show didn´t change popularities (nor was it expected to do so though Garry not gaining a point was a slight disappoinment) outside of guys still climbing into 17 range all gaining 2 - 3 points as usual. On financical side, we took $1 622 loss this time around, which isn´t too bad but you have to remember that Mortimer, Silencer nor Deuce weren´t used at all so that explains why expences were slighly lower than month before.

But that penalty for lower production values than rivals is a horrible one... And with RIPW about it always seems to hit, it is one of the things that frustrates me the most when playing as a small company...<p> Shame about freedom eagle been difficult but there are plenty of replacements out there to work with... With Austin smooth finally been used by FCW hopefully you can pass some of that overness on to your other workers.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I don´t think I have completely got rid of that barrier yet as I´m booked all the way to September and quess who´s still has main event spot... yep, Seth Whitehead is still going to be there even if I haven´t been able to use him for over 6 months and to make matters worse, none of the non-main event guys ain´t having anything more than 18 popularity either so I have more fallen backwards rather than come forward as far as popularities go. <img alt=":o" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/redface.png.900245280682ef18c5d82399a93c5827.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> That production value penalty is indeed brutal and it´s not going to get better anytime soon as upgrading would just cost too much money. Luckily, I´m able to still grow with E+ shows at the time being but those penalties did make me add a bit of depth into my roster by signing two new guys who I hope will help me produce better match ratings more frequently.</p><p> </p><p> Eagle´s behavior was indeed a shame (it gets worse too) and while he´s still in the roster at september, I´m pretty much looking for excuse to get rid of him so it´s safe to say that he didn´t span out.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="DAVEFAN95" data-cite="DAVEFAN95" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45829" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Of course still keeping an eye on this one Zergon. I also recently signed bit of new blood and one of them is someone who I expect great things as well so roster have been gaining bit more talent lately and those production penalties might force me even more into that direction in the future. D+</p><p> </p><p> Show Rating: E+</p><p> </p><p> Comments: Well, seems like the extra spending didn´t do anything for show ratings as we still got the same penalties. Maybe it would had been better to upgrade one of the production values up to best rivals one instead of upgrading two differend ones slightly, then again, we are still at least two steps behind RIPW everywhere so guess I have to settle taking the penalties for now. Not certain if I should just downgrade the ones I upped but decided to keep them the same for now on as at least we are even with other rivals. Booking wise, this one was heavy on matches simply because it was a feud ending show so all the talking was done before hand and new storylines wouldn´t start until next show. I did consider putting belt on Silencer here as he would had been the best face to carry the belt but I have other guy in mind for that as there´s two guys currently in roster that have won every single feud they have had so far (Smooth and Queen) and I feel that it´s time to put the two of them against each other´s, hence Queen and Smooth both winning their feuds here. Whitehorse got his win for two reasons, first of all, Joe is falling bit more of an midcard spot now that both Silencer and Queen are ahead of him while Whitehorse would essentially be number two heel behind Smooth at the moment (although I wonder how long I can keep myself on pushing Cobra there) and thus a logical challenger for next face champ while Joe already feuded with Smooth little while ago meaning that giving Whitehorse the win felt better idea. On other matches, I paired Cobra and Hangman together mainly because I have been considering making a stable around Cobra and if done so, Hangman could be one of the underlings so wanted to check if the two had any tag chemistry, and there was indeed chemistry in that match but unfortunately it was with Deuce and Eagle and with Eagle currently in dog house thansk to his behavior last month and Deuce being pretty much bottom at the barrel by default, I don´t see much use for that note although I guess they could make decent jobber team if Eagle gets his act together. </p><p> </p><p> I also wanted to give Garry and Drury wins here so that´s why other matches were booked as they were, Drury haven´t performed yet but it might be just ring rust (remember, he haven´t had a single match since 2016 started) so I´m still hoping he starts to perform bit better (as I wanted him to fill similar role than Garry/Eagle on the heel side but current ratings doesn´t justify even that kind of push). I praised Smooth, Cobra and Whittaker at the end of the show, first two have been carrying the ratings for long time and I felt that Whittaker outperforming Regular Joe deserved a praise as well so I picked him over Silencer on the last spot since I expect Silencer to be in the contention each and every night with him being the third guy alongside Smooth and Cobra that I trust putting on great ratings. </p><p> </p><p> main event: Smooth: 28, Queen: 20, Seth: 19, Silencer: 23 </p><p> upper midcard: Cobra: 19, Jolson: 18, Revell: 18, Whittaker: 20</p><p> midcard: Deuce: 8, Eagle: 17, Garry: 17, Mortimer: 17, Joe: 17 </p><p> lower midcard: Hurukan: 4, Funk: 8, Drury: 5, Hangman: 6</p><p> Opener: Night: 3</p><p> </p><p> Silencer got a point on a loss which is always nice, Cobra also got a point from the tag win which was bit unexpected as that wasn´t a great match. Garry and Eagle both gained a point pushing them to 17 while Deuce lost a point (not a big deal). All new guys gained at least two points as well so good day for popularity perspective overall. With using full roster and adding production values, finances shot back to 2 919$ loss. I´m wondering if I should lower down production values once again (since I´m not certain if upping them actually did anything), but I also kind of want to keep them there just because they are now same than with most other companies on my area. I think on that a bit more but at the moment, I believe I´m keeping those were they are now just so that I can say that I´m at least matching most non RIPW promotions and just accept the fact that I will be working on profit loss quite a while longer.</p><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p>
  6. For whatever reason, I have took liking to his alt and signed him because of that... yeah, no idea why I like it but I do so might as well roll with it. That said, the answer for what he can do for me or what I can do with him is likely "not much" but at least he have a job now. Then again, I did say same about Garry and he´s actually become a solid midcard guy on my roster so you never know what could happen if stars align the right way. April 2018 Friday, week 3 ESE Eternal Storm San Juan High School (Puerto Rico) Attendance: 281 2 vs. 2 & vs. & Regular Joe & Freedom Eagle vs. Texas Hangman & Mad Dog Mortimer In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, Freedom Eagle and Regular Joe defeated Texas Hangman and Mad Dog Mortimer in 6:33 when Regular Joe defeated Mad Dog Mortimer by pinfall with a Joe And Behold. Regular Joe carried the match in terms of in-ring performance. Notes: Hangman debuted with Crusher gimmick with initial rating being Very good. Performance: Joe: D-, Eagle: E, Hangman: F+, Mortimer: E- WINNERS: Regular Joe & Freedom Eagle by pinfall in 6:33 E+ ANGLE: After his match, Joe stays on the ring and issues a challenge for Whitehorse Whittaker on another match, stating that they are 1-1 now and that the wants another shot to stop the big bully. Whitehorse comes to ringside and agrees on rematch, telling Joe that he will beat him down again, and this time, if Joe is smart he will stay down. D- 1 vs. 1 vs. Jazz Funk vs. Austin Smooth In a poor match, Austin Smooth defeated Jazz Funk in 6:03 by pinfall with a Fireman's Carry Cutter. Notes: Funk debuted Blue Collar gimmick with above average rating. Performance: Funk: F, Smooth: D+ WINNER: Austin Smooth by submission in 6:03 D- ANGLE: Smooth doesn´t get time to celebrate as Silencer comes into ringside and informs Smooth that he´s days as a champion are nearing the end as ESE´s management has seen that Silencer does deserve another shot for the belt after his tag win over Smooth in last show and that the match is going to be next month. Smooth isn´t happy about this and throws a temper tantrum in-ring but there´s nothing he can do about it as the management has spoken. D+ 1 vs. 1 vs. Garry The Entertainer vs. Outlaw Wes Revell In a decent match, Outlaw Wes Revell defeated Garry The Entertainer in 7:32 by pinfall. Notes: - Performance: Garry: D-, Revell: E+ WINNER: Outlaw Wes Revell by pinfall in 7:32 D- ANGLE: Quentin Queen comes into ringside after Revell´s match and tells him that his tired of the sneak attacks Revell has used and it´s time to Revell to make his stand in the ring. Revell agrees on match, saying that it´s indeed time to collect his bounty and that Queen is going to make him a rich man. D- 1 vs. 1 vs. The Silencer vs. Cobra In a decent match, The Silencer defeated Cobra in 9:37 by pinfall with a Drop Zone. Notes: - Performance: Silencer: D+, Cobra: D- WINNER: The Silencer by pinfall in 9:37 D+ Show Rating: E+ Comments: This was typical "before the big show" show where none of the main storyline guys didn´t clash with each other´s. I put Cobra and Silencer into main event to ensure good rating there and otherwise made sure that one half of the feuding pairs were in other matches in order to set angles after the match (I try to have all the angles happen in ring because I would assume backstage segment wouldn´t happen in shows this small). I decided to keep the time on the show same mostly because I still try to get myself on black finances wise and extra time would mean extra money lost but I think I have to soon just accept the fact that I need to add extra matches in from the usual 4 - 5 as too many guys will be left unused otherwise. Revell got a win over Garry in hopes of pushing Revell back to 18 popularity while I wanted to try Joe and Eagle as a tag team since I´m considering of making them as one in the future (although that plan might never happen considering what happened before the show, more on that little later), also Mortimer was there just for the off chance that it would help Joe push up back to 18 (plus Morty needed to be on the card after missing out on last two shows). Smooth over Jazz was basically filler and way to introduce one of the new signings. Freedom Eagle decided that it was a good time to cause problems by being obnoxious and beating Brett Graveson after the fight broke between the two. I gave him a fine on that one and he was very unhappy about it and became negative influence. If he continues to act like that I have no calms on dropping him espesially since he has failed to produce the ratings I hoped he could so he´s on very thin ice for now on and I will likely push Garry over Eagle as my new number four face as a result. Our competition did rise their production values even more so we are behind in all areas and that shows on our show rating pretty badly at the moment. I might need to just accept taking extra losses espesially since I would also like to use more guys on each show but lets first see how finances show after this month before making a decision on that. I praised Smooth and Silencer because how could I not? I was thinking about just yelling at Eagle but decided to give him a chance still and paised Cobra instead for being other half of a great main event and first ever D+ rated match in ESE´s history. Mortimer also complained about his recent booking, I guess the game still haven´t got the memo that he´s a jobber. Anyway, here´s the current popularity chart: main event: Smooth: 28, Queen: 20, Seth: 19, Silencer: 22 upper midcard: Cobra: 18, Jolson: 18, Revell: 18, Whittaker: 20 midcard: Deuce: 9, Eagle: 16, Garry: 16, Mortimer: 17, Joe: 17 lower midcard: Funk: 6, Night: 0, Drury: 3, Hangman: 4 Opener: Hurukan: 0 Smooth gained 4 points but that has more to do with the fact that he´s actually starting to get regular work in FCW. Still, it can only help us so I´m happy on that regardless of why it is he gains popularity. Silencer gaining point from the main event was really nice and Revell also gained one as expected. Garry dropped to 16 as expected but he should get it back in next show while some of the lower card guys got a few points as well. On finances side, we still made 1 056$ loss. After looking on the production values, I decided that some upgrades were necasserily in order to make sure we continue to rise (out last show had best main match we ever produced as main event and still the show only scored E+ and while that still was enough to push our popularity up a bit I would like to see bigger gains if possible) so I upgraded production values to amateur and music to generic. This will add extra 750$ on expenses and we still take penalties all around out but least we level now with PWMAX and MAW on everything and mostly are on even level with IPW (except broadcast quality) and level with GSW with broadcast quality despite losing elsewhere else. The big problem is RIPW who continues to beat us (and everyone else meaning that they must beat us at least by 2 levels on each category) everywhere but that´s just something I have to accept. Also, this change will mean that I will keep the show at 1 hour for at least additional month.
  7. Steel Cage Match (Win By Pinfall, Submission Or Escaping The Cage) If Rick Martel Loses, He Is Out Of The Royal Rumble Rick Martel vs. Jake Roberts Comments: I´d assume Martel loses here mainly because of the stipulation is in place. WWF World Tag Team Titles Match The Hart Foundation defend vs. The Orient Express Comments: I don´t see Orient Express being the ones who beat Hart Foundation. WWF Intercontinental Title Match Mr. Perfect defends vs. Big Bossman Comments: Going to go with Perfect retaining here. Losers Leave The WWF Match The Million Dollar Man and The Undertaker vs. Dusty Rhodes and Dustin Rhodes Comments: I don´t see MDM and Undertaker being kicked off from WWF. WWF Heavyweight Title Match The Ultimate Warrior defends vs. Sgt. Slaughter Comments: I could see Slaughter getting a win here in case you would want to get the belt off from Ultimate Warrior but Slaughter´s current gimmick would make it a bit of a hard sell in America so doubt title change would happen here. Royal Rumble Match Winner Earns A WWF Heavyweight Title Match At WrestleMania VII Big John Studd, Dino Bravo, Earthquake, Haku, Ivan Koloff, Mr. Perfect, Nikita Koloff, Randy Savage, (Rick Martel?), The Barbarian, (The Million Dollar Man?), The Nature Boy, (The Undertaker?), The Warlord, ???, Big Bossman, (Dusty Rhodes?), (Dustin Rhodes?), Greg Valentine, Hulk Hogan, Jake Roberts, Jim Duggan, Jimmy Snuka, Ricky Steamboat, Saba Simba, The British Bulldog, Tito Santana, Tugboat, Wahoo McDaniel, ???, ???, ??? Comments: Lots of potential winners here (including potential surprises) but Hogan is Hogan so he feels like the safest pick espesially since he and Warrior already had a tense moment in the latest show.
  8. Thank you both for your kind words. Just like you, I´m also relieved to hear that I´m not the only one having hard time getting past 17 popularity and I have certainly dropped saves in the past just because I have gotten frustrated about not getting any progress on the popularity front. Also good to hear that post show thoughts are liked as I´m particularly interested myself to talk/hear about booking decisions and learning why people book certain ways so it´s nice to hear I´m not the only one who likes that either. Roster Moves: New Signings: With ESE getting to small we needed some new blood and I decided to hire 4 new guys (technically game would have let me pass with just 2 since Jolson and Seth are still in the roster but I wanted to expand to 16 actual roster members). With me still trying desperately not to lose money (spoiler alert, not going to happen any time soon), I decided to hire cheap guys for this round meaning most of the guys are rookies. Everyone here got two years contract with no travel costs being paid. All four were unemployed at this time Hurakan Age: 19 Popularity in USA: F- Heel, Cartoon Joker Hurakan was actually meant to be G-Force but he was signed by FCW about a month ago so I picked Hurakan instead. At some point, I would like to see if I could get cruiserweight/luchador pushed into midcard position despite the product not suiting them but Hurakan is unlikely to be that guy and he will likely follow similar career path here than what Kid Fantastic had. Hurakan have had six independence matches in Mexico with average rating being E (5 of the six matches scored that with last one being E-) before joining us so based on that, I don´t expect him to perform any better than other jobber guys that have been part of ESE so far. He agreed to work with 200$ per show. Jazz Funk Age: 33 Popularity in USA: F- Face, Blue Collar Funk is by far the most experienced guy I brought in with this group and he´s better known as a result. Unfortunately, that better known pretty much means I know he´s not any good (and being Cruiserweight again) and will likely perform on similar level than Mad Dog Mortimer or Rex Reeves. That said, that´s all I ask from him and he isn´t expected to get any pushes. There doesn´t seem to be any Canadian independence groups out there as Funk, just like Drury, haven´t had a single match after the game started. Jazz signed for 300$ per show and he got Blue Collar gimmick mainly because Garry already had Jazz´s default Bubbly Bacyface gimmick. Jules Night Age: 20 Popularity in USA: F- Face, Machine Jules is someone that I have actually looked to bring in for some time, not for any other particular reason than him being cheap (and me not knowing about skipping travel costs, thus leaving me to look American based talent). Night is technician instead of cruiserweight/luchador and that alone gives him slighly better chance of succeeding here but the expectation is that he will be another jobber. Night have had five matches in Independence scene so far with average rating being E. Jules signed for 260$ per show and will use his default gimmick. Jules also shows up on the show stopper and ring general lists which is always a plus in my books. Texas Hangman Age: 19 Popularity in USA: F- Heel, Crusher Yet another rookie, Hangman is the one guy out of this group who I could potentially see rising higher on the card (guess it´s not that big of a suprise with being the only heavyweight of the group). That said, he has to prove his worth first and he´s only independence match (F+ against Jules Night by the way, it´s also Night´s worst match to date) doesn´t promise good things just yet but hopefully he´s skills will develop with me so that he can at the very least get job elsewhere if he doesn´t work for us. As with everyone else hired on this round, he´s expected to fill the lower card on a jobber role for time being. Hangman was the cheapest of the four guys signing with ust 160$ per show and he got Crusher gimmick because of course I put big heavyweight heels into brute gimmicks.

Drury decided to start his ESE career by failing to show up in scheduled meeting. I gave him stern warning which he appearantly didn´t like as he´s behavior got worse. Not a good way to start but guess I can always drop him if he starts causing trouble. Funnily enough, that´s exactly the same way that Mad Dog Mortimer started his career and he´s still with me (although on a low role but that was always the plan) so this doesn´t necasserily going to lead into anything. Booking wise, I wanted to keep Joe out from the ring this month as he just recovered and thus booked the show without him, also Mad Dog was unused second month on the row (sorry Morty, that wasn´t intentional, just the way the match-ups worked).</p><p> </p><p> The main event was the typical "mix two feuds into one tag match" that is always a good way to keep feuds going, faces got the win mainly since I wanted Silencer to get win over Smooth for storyline reasons. Whitetaker did beat Deuce just to give him something to do, but the main point was the angle that kept the feud with Joe going. The game reminded me about bad chemistry between Whitaker and Deuce but I decided to keep the booking as it was since that match wasn´t there for ratings at any case. Other than the feuds, Freedom Eagle got his first win over newcomer Drury (unfortunately, it starts to look like Eagle might not be good enough replace Seth as one of the top four faces but I´m giving him a bit more time before deciding about that and I do have Garry ready to jump in if needed) while Garry (speaking the devil) and Cobra were put into semi-main event mostly because I wanted solid match there and they had a great match earlier but this time the match fell a bit under expectations but they made up for that with awasome angle plus the difference between the two matches weren´t that big (D vs. D- but the D was the lowest rated D match on top 100 being at 11th while their match this show is rated as 20th). Plus I kind of enjoyed writing those two as bit of a comedy spot (even when there´s no comedy in the product), I might even had made it a feud if I had figured it out before this show, but now that they have already fought twice in recent past, it´s not going to happen, at least not yet. That said, I do hope I can figure a feud for Garry on the next round of feuds (basically only feud I have planned after this round is the feud with the main belt), for Cobra... well, I´m not too worried about him as keeping him low would kind of fit of the idea I have on him (being "snake" and just biting his time until the time is right) but I do hope I can found a spot to push him at some point as he´s probably my favorite character so far in this diary. I did compliment Garry and Cobra for that angle (I double checked and it actually is the first ever C- rated segment during ESE´s history) and Smooth for being his usual great himself. Also, we finally did grow up to small size and that means new signings which we will talk more on the next post. Don´t expect any big names though, I would like to make profit soon and for that end, I only hire cheap talent for now (plus I´m decently happy about the main event/upper midcard at the moment). I also did remember to tweak Garry´s gimmick after the show to extend it´s life span.</p><p> </p><p> Here´s how the popularities look after this show:</p><p> main event: Smooth: 24, Queen: 20, , Silencer: 21 </p><p> upper midcard: Jolson: 18, Seth: 19, , Whittaker: 20</p><p> midcard: Cobra: 18, Garry: 17, Revell: 17, Joe: 17 </p><p> lower midcard: Deuce: 9 Eagle: 14, Mortimer: 17</p><p> Opener: Drury: 3</p><p> </p><p> Smooth got three points??? What? And he lost... oh, never mind, he finally had a match in FCW (losing to Handsome Stranger on 46 rated match, with the tag match this month being 43 so we actually not that far behind), darn, I was excited for a second. Silencer did gain a point though so at least there was some progress. Well, kind of since Revell did lose a point so guess it´s more of even ground than gains. Deuce, Eagle and Drury all gained two points which I would considering good except it seems to be the minumum you gain until you hit 17 (I at least don´t recall anyone ever gaining less until they hit 17). Speaking of AI finally finding my talent, GSW did actually book Justice Jolson as well as he lost to Waylon Wells in E+ rated match. On finances side, growing into small helped us a bit as we only took 1 730$ loss this month, with merchandise sales being the one spot were most of the extra income did come. I´d assume expenses would also rise next month (and that what the expected expences shows as well) so lets see if this was temporarely raise or not.</p></div><p></p><p></p>

Basically, my plan for Drury is him to become number 5 heel after the top four, hopefully being good enough to work as a replament if needed and just generally playing back-up and being in occasional storyline (most likely on the losing side), basically same thing that I plan to do with Garry on the face side. Time will tell if Drury can hold that position, but I recall he´s done well in other people´s diaries were I have seen him being used so I´d figure he´s up to the task. Drury somehow haven´t had a single match since the game started so he´s likely having quite a bit of ring rust at the beginning. Also, this pick up was pretty much made possible by Hyde Hill telling me that I can get away from travel costs as otherwise Drury would had been considered "too expensive" on the time being. He also became the first person to relocate in Puerto Rico (makes sense considering he only gets 400$ per show) so guess it was me paying those travel costs that kept people on relocating into Puerto Rico which is certainly good to know in the future. Drury got a two years deal which is pretty much going to be the standard lenght of contract going forward. Show also appeared worse because of production values being lower than our rivals. On top of that, none of the matches managed to break D- rating, and Eagle was a bit of a disappointment in the main event but that´s what I get for booking new guy immidiately on the main event. Booking wise, I put Eagle straight into title match mainly to give Smooth a decent defence and also to see how Eagle could perform with my top heel. Other than that, Whitetaker and Joe clashed a second time, making the score 1 - 1 before the last encounter while Revell and Queen continued their feud with tag match followed by assault angle. The current storylines are drawing near their end and there will likely be just 1 - 2 shows before the final matches. Note that Revell and Queen have only clashed once and I plan them only to clash once more, reason for this being that I´m slighly unconfortable on putting Revell over Queen at the moment and thus decided to skip the second match as I feel that it´s slighly harder to give good reasoning to continue a feud were someone loses the first two matches (although I have done so before as can be seen in Joe vs. Jolson feud back in 2016). I guess I could have had second match end into draw or DQ win for Queen to keep the story going but decided to just have two encounters as breaking the basic formula every now and then is a good idea in my mind. Other than that, Garry gets himself a win over leaving Reeves that hopefully sees him get up to 18 popularity. Now I´m sure he loses that point soon enough for either Revell or Cobra but hopefully I can keep him howering between 17 and 18 popularity for little while as I´m starting to get in the point were I would need to try to push jobbers past that 17 points if I want to have matches against them helping my guys popularity. I complimented Queen, Revell and Garry after the show. Reeves decided to complain about his recent booking after the show but considering he had four days left on his contract at that point, I´m not sure why he bothered. On the plus side we still gained another 0,5% on popularity, putting us on 13 % (but still not enough to get us into small).</p><p> </p><p> Roster´s popularity check time!</p><p> main event: Smooth: 21, Queen: 20, Seth: 19, Silencer: 20 </p><p> upper midcard: Garry: 17, Jolson: 18, Revell: 18, Whittaker: 20</p><p> midcard: Cobra: 18, Eagle: 12, Mortimer: 17, Reeves: 16</p><p> lower midcard: Deuce: 7</p><p> Out injured: Joe: 17 </p><p> </p><p> So, Whittaker got a point and Joe lost 3 in the progress... not good but it is what it is. Other than that, Reeves lost a point (no-one cares) and Eagle gained two and Deuce three points. Notably Garry didn´t rise to 18 put still has higher push than Cobra so I´d assume he gained a something there, just not quite enough to push him all the way to 18. GSW hold a show on the same day and didn´t use either Jolson nor Seth at all. On finances, we "only" lost 2 579$ this month but we didn´t use Silencer or Mortimer either so that explains why finances were bit better than normally.</p></div><p></p><p></p>

Eagle was just recently cut from NYCW and was actually cut in January just in time to be signed by me. He´s record for last year was 2 wins and 6 losses with D- as average match rating. I don´t expect him to be quite as good as Seth was as my normal experience is that I generally don´t manage to get quite the same ratings from guys that what AI can but we see if he can become a good replacement or if I need to find another guy to fill Seth´s spot. Eagle signed a three year deal with 400$ per show and I remembered to not offer travel expenses this time around (yeah, I know I said I won´t stop offering those but decided to do so anyway after putting a bit more though on it as I would like to finally stop losing money). He will run his default Patriot gimmick for no other reason than that mask giving me hard time to figure any other suitable gimmick for him. </p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p>
  15. Non-Title Match Barry Hardy and Bob Bradley vs. The Hart Foundation Comments: The Undertaker vs. Shane Douglas Comments: Mike Sharpe vs. The British Bulldog Comments: These first three look like squash matches to me. Power & Glory vs. The Rockers Comments: And here´s were my inexperience starts to show, I go with Rockers here but it´s more of a guess than anything else since I have no idea were these two teams standed at this point of time. Sgt. Slaughter vs. Nikolai Volkoff Comments: Slaughter had promo time on last show and that would suggest that he has more going on so picking him based on that. The Million Dollar Man vs. Tito Santana Comments: Normally I would go with DiBiase but I wonder if that Virgil storyline is going to affect this one.

Not much to talk about the show itself, kind of filler show in the way that all storylines were forwarded by angles (meaning matches tend to be bit on the easy to predict side), expect Whittaker vs. Joe was also forwarded via match mainly to give Joe reason to lose without looking weak (I guess losing to the main champ wouldn´t exactly considered "looking weak" either way) and it forwarded the feud nicely while gave Smooth a nice title defense, so why not. . I complimented Joe and Smooth for their good main event (3rd best on top 100 list at the moment) as well as Silencer who absolutely nailed the angle with D+ rating. Reeves did complain about booking after the show, guess he haven´t got the memo yet but he will realize soon that there´s a reason he haven´t been booked strong.</p><p> </p><p> Don´t expect much changes on popularity after this show but lets give a look:</p><p> main event: Smooth: 21, Queen: 20, Joe: 20 , Silencer: 20 </p><p> upper midcard: Jolson: 18, Revell: 18, Seth: 19 , Whittaker: 19</p><p> midcard: Cobra: 18, Garry: 17, Mortimer: 17, Reeves: 17</p><p> lower midcard: Kid: 17</p><p> Enchantment Talent: Deuce: 4</p><p> </p><p> So Joe did gain a point while Deuce gained 4. Not bad, Joe gaining a point was certainly a bonus, other than that it was about as barren as expected since none of the matches weren´t really made with popularity gains on mind. On finances side, we lost 3 349$ this month. There´s also pair of bad news between this and next show. First is that my production department now has warnings for potential penalties. I think I will look how those affect before fixing them as I would like to finally make a profit after losing money for two years straight. Second and bigger bad news is that GSW decided to hire another one of my wrestlers, as they hired Seth Whitehead. This means that Seth now has the same deal than Jolson and is effectively out from ESE as I´m still stuppornly refuse to change the show date. I just hope that they actually use Seth as well unlike what they did with Jolson or what FCW is doing with Smooth</p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p>

With little better roster management than mine, I could see that working without needing to let the guy go or perhaps turn or something else whould be enough to gain some lost momentum back? Either way, building your own stars is certainly more satisfying than signing a guy who´s already a big name.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Roster Review:</p><p> </p><p> It´s time for the roster review. The roster did shape a bit during the year with guys like Revell, Silencer, Whittaker and Garry added into roster while Ramone is technically the only guy who had left so far (in reality Reeves, Jolson and Kid are all on their way out when they current contracts run out). Like I wrote earlier, currently the plan is to add guys below current top 8 when the need to add more guys will arise (should happen around 3 - 4 shows from now) so current top guys will likely stay there barring someone leaving or getting into my bad side. That might always change if need for better guys become obvious (basically if there´s a regional war that includes ESE which shouldn´t happen to my knowledge) but at the moment I´m happy with my roster and decided to try to add as little extra financical losses as possible since I´m not certain how moving into small would affect the income or expenses (both will likely go up but not sure how much). In earlier games, income did rise plenty more than expenses but the way the sponsor money works in this game, I´m not certain if it works the same way here and hence play it carafully for the first few months (plus it would be nice to get back some of the lost money, not that it´s really needed but makes me feel slighly better about my finances if I could gather bit of the lost money back). </p><p> </p><p> I will also rate my roster into two halfs going forward, top 8 and bottom 8. I do also distribute the top half (and likely bottom 8 too but that depents a bit who I hire) on "main eventers" and "upper midcarders" with Queen, Silencer, Smooth and Whittaker currently being he "main event" talents and Joe, Seth, Revell and Cobra being the "upper midcard" guys. To be fair, there´s very little difference between the two groups and upper midcarders can go over main event guys, but main eventers are generally valued slighly more and thus more likely to be kept strong. This also help myself to keep in mind very everyone stands as I tend to run pretty strict pecking order. Either way, below is my current thoughs about my roster.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> NOTE: Average match rating is from the current year.</p><p> </p><p> Main event:</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="bsGXr0s.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bsGXr0s.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="ZiG1u8d.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ZiG1u8d.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Austin Smooth:</p><p> Age: 23</p><p> Heel, Prima Donna.</p><p> Record (in ESE): 9 - 1 - 1 (16 - 2 - 5)</p><p> Average match Rating (in ESE): D</p><p> Smoot really delivered this year, rising his average match rating from E+ to D and from the 9 D rated matches ESE have had so far, Smooth has had part on 7 out from the 9 including all current top 5 matches so not hard to see that he´s the biggest star so far (though Silencer will no doubt make a case for himself with more matches under his belt). Being current champ means very few losses and place in the spotlight so expect Smooth to be one of the main focuses for next year as well.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="1OOBqpp.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/1OOBqpp.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Quentin Queen</p><p> Age: 24</p><p> Face, Blue Chipper</p><p> Record (in ESE): 9 - 0 - 1 (17 - 1 - 4)</p><p> Average match Rating (in ESE): D-</p><p> I was a bit surprised to see Queen´s win/loss record as that wasn´t intentional but it does make sense in hindsight as Queen weren´t in storylines for most of the year (expect his short feud with Mortimer and current feud with Revell) and while not being in feuds usually means few extra losses, Queen had high enough status (being basically number 1 or 2 face depending on how you rate him and Silencer) that I wasn´t willing to job him and no storylines meant that he didn´t have storyline reasons to lose either (until december were he´s only loss came in the tag match). Perhaps the lack of high profile match also explains the fact that Queen has only been part of 2 out of the 9 D rated matches and both are tag matches. Overall, Queen has been slight disappointment so far but I´m still packing him up as one of my top guys and he will have big role this year, with another feud lined up after his current one with Revell.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="PduipuV.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/PduipuV.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Seth Whitehead</p><p> Age: 24</p><p> Face, Bad Ass</p><p> Record (in ESE): 5 - 1 - 5 (13 - 1 - 9)</p><p> Average match Rating (in ESE): D-</p><p> Much like Cobra last year, Seth has suprise main event push at the moment and is still considered as number four face behind Silencer, Queen and Joe. That said, Seth has been pretty solid on his role, being part of 3 out of the 9 D rated matches (number 3, 4 and 5 on the list, though two out of the three are tag matches) and has continued to impress me. Seth and Cobra have certainly been the highlights in terms of cost vs. ratings and I would recommend them to anyone who´s playing with local companies. Seth will likely stay on midcard/upper midcard push for next year as well but with the plan being to include guys below him, I´d assume he could win few more matches this year now that there´s more guys I don´t mind losing to Seth.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="vvyWO0h.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/vvyWO0h.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> The Silencer</p><p> Age: 35</p><p> Face, Armed Forces</p><p> Record (in ESE): 5 - 1 - 2</p><p> Average match Rating (in ESE): D-</p><p> Silencer did make a big impact from the beginning and half of his matches can be found in current top 10 with him being in 4 out of the 9 D rated matches including the top 2 matches in company´s history (both title matches against Smooth). Silencer will certainly play a big part in future too assuming he isn´t stolen from me (if someone is, it´s likely going to be him, right?) and if Smooth is the top heel performance wise, Silencer have already proven that he can carry the face side on similar manner. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Upper Midcard:</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="ETtXsFn.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ETtXsFn.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Justice Jolson</p><p> Age: 28</p><p> Heel, Strongman</p><p> Record (in ESE): 4 - 1 - 3 (11 - 1 - 8)</p><p> Average match Rating (in ESE): E+</p><p> Jolson is still technically part of the roster (has about year left on his contract) but realisticly, he´s not expected to take part into any of our shows. He didn´t appear any D rated matches during his stay but that´s partly because GSW signed him just before those started to be more common. Jolson haven´t had any matches in GSW yet so I´m hoping he doesn´t get same treatment than Smooth in FCW. Overall, if I was to lose someone from the original top 6, Jolson was the best one to leave as while he was good monster heel, there´s no sortage on those even with my current hiring restrictions on.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="R4wPrpL.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/R4wPrpL.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Outlaw Wes Revell</p><p> Age: 26</p><p> Heel, Cowboy</p><p> Record (in ESE): 2 - 0 - 2</p><p> Average match Rating (in ESE): D-</p><p> As said when I hired him, Revell is bit of an experiment and so far he has done alright job on showing that he deserved the spot I gave him. Out from the 4 matches he have had, 2 show up in top 9 matches list (so are D rated) although both of them are tag matches including Silencer and/or Smooth. Still, solid start and time will tell if he manages to keep his spot in top 4 heels list or if new names are eventually going to take his spot.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="M9kMTmh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/M9kMTmh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Regular Joe</p><p> Age: 28</p><p> Face, Blue Collar</p><p> Record (in ESE): 7 - 0 - 3 (17 - 1 - 4)</p><p> Average match Rating (in ESE): D-</p><p> Joe hasn´t quite managed to get the match ratings (and generally he has worse angles than most other guys too so no help there either) I was hoping and with Silencer being included into company, Joe has now been pushed to number three face spot behing Silencer and Queen which is probably not where the highest paid guy should be. Then again, that was always the plan and Joe is certainly solid midcard guy to have and that King of the Notwork title run will keep him as decently big name to either challenge for the belt or to someone else to beat depending what the current plan happens to be at any given time. Plus he´s basically the current monster heel and he´s not doing any worse than Jolson was in terms of match ratings. Whittaker had been 1 out of the 9 D rated matches and he´s currently considered as number 2 heel behind Smooth althought that´s certainly a position that is up for competition right now.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Midcard:</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="HwG9s5O.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/HwG9s5O.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Cobra</p><p> Age: 26</p><p> Heel, Snake</p><p> Record (in ESE): 6 - 1 - 3 (12 - 1 - 7)</p><p> Average match Rating (in ESE): D-</p><p> As said with Seth, Cobra and Seth has been likely the biggest positive suprises so far in this diary as both have proven to be very solid guys in terms of match and angle ratings and I love to have guys like them on my midcard. Cobra is basically number four heel at the moment but things are close between him, Revell and Whitehorse and I wouldn´t be entirely surprised if Cobra is the one coming out on top out of those three. He´s also my favorite character so far in this diary and while the plan is to keep him putting up good ratings on the midcard for now I could see potential main event push in the future (no promises there) if things align right. As with most other of my current top 8, Cobra also has also been included on 2 out of 9 D rated matches so far.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="gGnd4Jj.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/gGnd4Jj.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Garry The Entertainer</p><p> Age: 23</p><p> Face, Bubbly Babyface</p><p> Record (in ESE): 1 - 0 - 7</p><p> Average match Rating (in ESE): E+</p><p> Garry did manage to impress me with his first year and as a result, is getting slighly bigger role than what I originally had in mind for him. Not a big one, mind you, I guess in terms of push he would be considered lower midcard guy instead of opener now so not a big push but it´s an improment. Expect Garry to pick up few more wins with me planning to bring in some new talent near the bottom of the roster. Garry would at least initially start this year as number 5 face and while that doesn´t really tell much right now (after all there´s only 6 faces total at the moment), it´s meaning a bit more when we grew to small as then he´s improved into being second last to be around middle of the back (assuming I keep the current plan to hire wrestlers on the lower end of the roster). </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="9MqkHxv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/9MqkHxv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Mad Dog Mortimer</p><p> Age: 40</p><p> Heel, Old School Heel</p><p> Record (in ESE): 2 - 0 - 8 (2 - 0 - 20)</p><p> Average match Rating (in ESE): E+</p><p> Mortimer did get a 3rd year in the company, which is more than I expected him to stay when I started but it almost certainly be his last as there´s only so long you can keep things going when you are booked to lose pretty much every match you are put into. Nothing much to say here, Mortimer has been ok hands on the lower card and doesn´t complain much on losses and few guys like that have always place in my companies. Ratings haven´t been great but I don´t expect jobbers to pull off good ratings anyway so that´s not a big deal either. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="xv97ilD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/xv97ilD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Rex Reeves</p><p> Age: 38</p><p> Heel, Evil Doer</p><p> Record (in ESE): 1 - 0 - 11 (2 - 0 - 19)</p><p> Average match Rating (in ESE): E+</p><p> Reeves is on his way out not because anything he has done but more because there´s occasional need to cycle the roster a bit and jobbers are the easiest guys to cut lose. Much like Mortimer, he haven´t complained, haven´t caused problems in backstage and haven´t compltely sucked in-ring and that´s all I ask from jobbers so Rex did he´s part here but it´s time to move on. Unfortunaltely for Rex, him being on time decline and not being very good likely means that he´s going to spend rest of his career at intependence scene.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Lower Midcard:</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="XvsxvrU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/XvsxvrU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Kid Fantastic:</p><p> Age: 20</p><p> Face, Clubber</p><p> Record (in ESE): 1 - 0 - 10 (2- 0 - 18)</p><p> Average match Rating (in ESE): E+</p><p> Much the same goes for Kid than did go with Reeves as well, so he´s on his way out but not because he has done something bad. Kid has been quite inconsistent with his performance being off his game way more than anyone else on the roster but again, that´s isn´t really an issue for jobber guys in promotion this small. Hopefully Kid did develop during his stay here and hopefully that will help him land a job elsewhere, ideally somewhere were his style has better shot of succeeding. Also, unlike Reeves who´s not likely to been seen again because of his age and time decline status, I could see Kid returning at some point, although I don´t foresee him ever being higher than jobber based on this run.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Enchantment Talent:</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="NwsGwG5.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NwsGwG5.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Dustin Deuce</p><p> Age: 17</p><p> Face, Goth</p><p> Record (in ESE): -</p><p> Average match Rating (in ESE): -</p><p> Not much to say here, as Dustin just joined. He´s excepted to take the bottom of the barrel role so expect similar treatment than with Kid for him. As stated before, young, untested guys are my favorite jobber material as they the ones I see benefitting the most by their role as it gives them time to develop their skill set without putting any real pressure on them. Deuce will replace Kid as the bottom of the barrel guy on face side so don´t expect him to gain many wins, even when I get to small and try to start dealing occasional wins to lower card guys, there´s always going to be someone who gains none (or one at most) and Deuce is likely going to be that guy as he´s cruiserweight style is once again (story of pretty much all my jobbers) the factor that holds him back. Deuce was willing to sign with just 200$ per month (200$ cheaper than Kid) so I signed him for two years contract. I put him into Goth gimmick mostly just to differ him from all the clubber and other happy-go-lucky jobbers I have had, it won´t really play any big role since he´s not planned to have any storylines.</p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p>

Smooth is clearly annoyed by distraction and tells Silencer that there´s no "fair" in war, just winners and losers and Silencer belongs to latter camp and won´t gain another shot on the belt. Whittaker reply that it will be asked very soon, as this little side episode has been taking far too long already and it´s time to Joe to become that good little stepping stone that he will be. And if Joe is smart, he doesn´t let this drag any longer as it´s going to be more and more painful to him the longer it takes which is going to demonstrated next, as Kid Fantastic has challanged Whittaker again despite losing to him last month and he´s going to become an example of what happens when you waste Whittaker´s time. Still managed to pull a D grade for the show despite this basically being a "filler" show so no complains. I complimented Whittaker (two nices angles and good rating on the match too), Seth (D is on the upper scale of his perfomance level so good work getting that on main event) and Revell (mostly because I haven´t praised him yet, Silencer would had been more deserving but he will get plenty of praise so decided to give this one to Revell since he had an ok performance in the main event). </p><p> </p><p> And it´s popularity check time again, I don´t expect much changes from this show but lets see if the game agrees with me:</p><p> </p><p> main event: Smooth: 21, Queen: 20, Seth: 19 , Silencer: 20 </p><p> upper midcard: Jolson: 18, Revell: 18, Joe: 19, Whittaker: 19</p><p> midcard: Cobra: 18, Garry: 17, Mortimer: 17, Reeves: 17</p><p> lower midcard: Kid: 17</p><p> </p><p> Well, the game didn´t agree with me, giving Seth a point and pushing him to main event despite being the guy who ate the pin. He declares that he won´t be speaking for long and is just here to remind everyone that the snake is still here, laying low at the moment, waiting and ready to strike at the right moment. Cobra doesn´t get any further as Garry the Entertainer cames to ringside. Garry appearently wants to ask if he´s monkey and Cobra´s snake could be friends, and declares that he knows the two of them would have good time together. Cobra smiles an unsettling smile before answering that snakes don´t have friends, but that he´s hungry for wins and Garry might just be right appetizer to keep Cobra distracted until it´s time to strike against bigger prey so he will meet Garry in the ring next month. Garry seems happy about this, telling his monkey "friend" that they found a palying partner for next month while O´Hara wonders if Garry has any idea what he just signed up for. Austin Smooth makes defence number 6 of his ESE King of the Network title. </p><p> Notes: -</p><p> Performance: Silencer: D, Smooth: D</p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">WINNER: Austin Smooth by submission after cheating in 12:30 D</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Show Rating: D</p><p> </p><p> Comments: Smooth and Silencer deliver again in the main event (Best match in ESE so far slighly edging their previous encounter) after on ok but unspectacular undercard. Also, first time our show had more than 100 audience too. Booking this show was pretty straight forward, I decided early on that Silencer and Smooth would face second time while Revell and Queen would also clash. I was originally bit unhappy about having Smooth and Silencer face off so early for the second time (other two feuds just had their first clash in this or last show) but I figured I could use the typical heel champ avoids face challenger story to keep Smooth and Silencer away from each other´s for a little while (hence Smooth winning here via cheating to give a bit of legitimity to his claim while not making Silencer´s demands for rematch to sound unwarranted either). Now, this storyline ain´t anything new since I used pretty much the same idea during Smooth vs. Joe but if it works well then why fix it? Actually, don´t answer that one please. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> My lack of creativity aside (or probably continuing it but whatever), the rest of the card was pretty quick to put together as well with Whittaker and Joe picking wins while Whittaker cuts a basic, "you beat me once but it won´t happen again" promo to keep feud going. I also gave Seth a win while also threw an angle between Conbra and Garry, mainly because I wanted to see how Garry performs in angles (D rating promises good things there and certainly won´t hurt Garry) considering that he´s the only guy in my talk the talk list. The angle won´t lead into anything other than one shot match next month but it gave me a chance to evaluate Garry a bit more since he´s decent match rates combined with his mic skills have made me wonder if I should try to find bigger role for him (also not having a match in this show helps to keep his momentum slighly higher before we get to small and I can hire more lower card guys to help as discussed on previous post). I praised Smooth, Silencer and Garry after the show, first two for their good main event match and Garry for succeeding on his promo when I gave him the chance. Also, I finally remebered to tweak Mortimer´s gimmick, probably about year too late but still.</p><p> </p><p> Annnd it´s time to check the popularities again:</p><p> main event: Smooth: 21, Queen: 20, Joe: 19, Silencer: 20 </p><p> upper midcard: Jolson: 18, Revell: 18, Seth: 18, Whittaker: 19</p><p> midcard: Cobra: 18, Garry: 17, Mortimer: 17, Reeves: 17</p><p> lower midcard: Kid: 17</p><p> </p><p> Both Smooth and Silencer gained a point! So did Reeves and Kid but that´s expected. Four points gained and none lost likely makes this our most successful show on overness point-of-view since the early days. Now I didn´t actually check if that claim is true or not but I don´t at least remember having a show in last year or so where roster would have gained this much popularity (and not lost a similar amound). </p><p> </p><p> On finances side, we lost 4 016$ this month. And speaking of losing money, several contracts were up with Dana O´Hara, Reese Page, Regular Joe and Cobra all having their current contracts ending. O´Hara actually demanded only 600$ per show (he had 800$ before), not sure why but I took the opportunity to sign him for next 3 years. Reese similarly demanded less (600$ per show instead of 700$) so I signed her too for next three years. I wonder if the reason is that now that we are closer to small I could better affort bringing more talented people to their roles so they are demanding less in order to make them as more affortable options and thus leaving with me keeping them instead of hiring other´s? Anyway, I have no intention on putting more money on those positions any time soon (and could just fire them if I so decide in future although I´m quite unlikely to do so as it´s just against my character to break contracts) so I take the pay cuts. Cobra was willing to work for 400$ per show, a 100$ more than before but it´s still a bargain so I made sure to sign him for three years as well. Joe, on the other hand wanted 800$ per month (was 600$ before)... That´s a bit borderline call as Joe has been behind not only Smooth and Silencer but also Cobra and Seth on personal match performance ratings and he´s angles aren´t great either... on the other hand, he´s a solid hand (Joe and Cobra are the only show stoppers/ring generals I have) and I would like to keep my first King of the Network champion around as he´s title run makes him creditable and that would make beating him a bigger deal... Then again, do I really want a guy who´s essentially main event gatekeeper now (he´s basically number three face behind Silencer and Queen at this point, although he´s pretty close to Queen on performance) to be my highest paid wrestler? In the end, I answered yes, mainly because I felt that I have invested into him enough (being first champ and has been booked pretty strong otherwise too) that I should keep him but I only gave him two years contract (was thinking about giving just a year but then again I don´t really want him to demand more after that) instead of the three I gave the other three and we will revaluate Joe after that contract runs it´s course. So overall, I stay even on money here with Reese and O´Hara taking 300$ less but Cobra nad Joe making 300$ more. Of course, it´s easier to leave wrestlers out from the shows so the expenses are in slighly more avoitable place than before.</p></div><p></p><p></p>
