Revell simply looks uninterested, informing Smooth that Smooth and Silencer doesn´t concern him, he has a bounty to take and that´s only thing he cares. Queen and Silencer ends the conversation by coming into ringside, telling the heel pair that they better get into same page because they are going to be in for a hell of a match tonight as both Silencer and Queen have something to prove here, Silencer to show that he´s a legitimate contender for Smooth while Queen has to fend off yet another person who seeks to beat him in order to advance he´s own status, even if it´s the case of collecting bounty this time instead of gaining name value as has been case before. The segment ends with a staredown between the four. On booking side, there´s nothing particularly big deveopments here, main event nicely forwarded two feuds and gave a good match while doing so, while Joe and Whittaker clashed for the first time (though Whittaker was bit unhappy being on the losing side). This left Cobra and Seth (who are without storyline at the moment and this least important from top 8 guys) to pick up wins (and help Cobra get back to 18). The main surprise probably was putting Garry over Rex as Garry doesn´t really benefit from it popularity wise. My reasoning for that is that Rex is on his way out after his current contract ends so popularity or worsening mood ain´t really problems with him. Also, with growing into small being closer and closer and me being happy with the current top guys, my current plans for 4 new guys (16 is the required number of wrestlers for small promotion, hence the need to add four guys when I grow to small, and no, I don´t count Jolson even though the game would) is to hire guys for lower end of the card and use more like a 8/8 split (instead of main event, midcard and jobbers as have been the case so far) with Queen, Silencer, Joe, Seth, Smooth, Whittaker, Cobra and Revell being the top end and rest being jobbers/lower midcard guys. This should mean that I have bit more chances to give lower end guys some wins and hopefully thus allowing them to climb up on the ladders if opportunities arrive or one of my top end guys leaves. And while this chance is too late to help Rex, Kid or Mortimer, I do hope that I could potentially keep Garry longer in my roster and hence a win here to help keep his momentum up a bit. I still assume it will be more likely for me to drop Garry at some point than to keep him but I´d like to keep the option open for time being (with other lower end guys needing to get up to 17 popularity when I sign them, I assume Garry is going to benefit with few extra wins until rest of the guys have catched up on him thus potentially helping his momentum a bit if it hadn´t tanked too badly before that). I complimented Silencer (still new so he doesn´t have happiness bonus yet and he did get a D for his personal match rating), Whittaker (more just to try to affect he´s morale a positive way after he complained about the loss and yes, I know I have previously denied a praise for complaining but most of the main guys currently have positive morale thanks to constant praises so might as well pick those who could still use the bonus) and Queen (D- rating is the best he have gotten so far if memory serves).</p><p> </p><p> Popularities after this show looks like this:</p><p> main event: Smooth: 20, Queen: 20, Joe: 19, Silencer: 19 </p><p> upper midcard: Jolson: 18, Revell: 18, Seth: 18, Whittaker: 19</p><p> midcard: Cobra: 18, Garry: 17, Mortimer: 17, Reeves: 16</p><p> lower midcard: Kid: 16</p><p> </p><p> So Cobra gained a point, Garry picked up the missing three putting him on 17 while Reeves lost only one point as did Kid. Bit surprised that main event and semi-main event didn´t change popularities at all but overall, I´m fine with it here. ESE made another 4230$ loss this month so losses keep coming but we still have plenty of money in the bank (892 571$ to be precise) so not worried on that (yet). Mad Dog Mortimer´s contract was up as well and I signed 1 year extension (likely his last) with 300$ per show again.</p></div><p></p><p></p>

And since Jolson is out of the way that would free Queen for... well we don´t learn what Queen would have liked to do as he´s interrupted by a new face who introduces himself as Outlaw Wes Revell, a gunslinger for hire and he´s come here to collect a bounty that Mr. Jolson has put out on the head of Quentin Queen. Queen is angered by this, asking if Jolson really is that much of a coward that he has to send someone else to try to fight his fight? Revell answers that Mr. Jolson is moving up on his career but as a man of principles, he cannot let wrong done to him go unbunished and has thus hired Revell to finish the job. Queen is still visibly frustrated but just tells Revell that he´s been on this same song and dance many times before and if Revell thinks he can do better than those who came before him, his welcome to try. Smooth comes from backstage, declaring that Silencer didn´t really deserve the first shot either but then again, no-one in ESE´s roster really doesn´t deserve a shot against greatness that is Smooth. However, Silencer is going to get another show for a very simple reason as Smooth puts it: "I have heard some dumb backstage chatter were you are declared as a real threat to me and being on the same level than me. I can´t stand when nobodies like you try to get into same limelight with me, so get youself ready for a beating on your life because I don´t share MY spotlight with anyone and once I´m done with you, nobody will mistake joke like you as my equal". Also happy about Garry producing another E+ rating (huge upgrade from that E- that other jobbers use to have), unfortunaltely for Garry, I don´t really have a spot for him higher on the card at least not until we get to small and I suspect that he´s momentum would likely be too low at that point (it´s minow negative at the moment). I could see bringing him back later though if I end letting him go, either as a jobber again or even in a slighly bigger role if right spot emergences. Revell´s E+ was about what I expected and while he likely won´t carry matches that well, it´s still on serviable level and I´m pretty satisfied with my current top guys and that allows me to experiment a bit with him. Reese Page showed very late for this show, I gave her a stern warning and nothing came out of it which is fine since she hasn´t really caused any problems earlier. Main agenda booking wise here was to to fix Jolson vs. Queen (which was left into bit of an ankward spot) now that Jolson is gone to Revell vs. Queen and to try to push Slencer´s popularity up a bit by having him go over Cobra. Other matches were more or less "keep things going" type matches were I don´t expect much changes in terms of popularity. Main event helps moving Joe vs. Whittaker forward and shouldn´t hurt anyone´s popularity since Seth and Joe are step below Smooth and Whittaker to begin with (won´t likely help anyone´s popularity either). Mortimer got a win over Kid mainly because I decided to have 5th match and Mortimer is still the jobber I plan to keep extra year (over Reeves, Kid is also on his way out) while Revell ande Queen got "keep momentum going" wins over jobbers, or in Revell´s case, I guess it´s more along the lines of "start gaining some momentum and establish yourself". I praised Silencer and Cobra for their match as well as Garry again, mostly because I´d like to reward him at least somehow for being so much ahead of other jobbers I have (although to be fair, he also has style that fits better than say Kid or Reeves).</p><p> </p><p> Popularities after this show looks like this:</p><p> main event: Smooth: 20, Queen: 20, Joe: 19, Silencer: 19 </p><p> upper midcard: Jolson: 18, Revell: 18, Seth: 18, Whittaker: 19</p><p> midcard: Cobra: 17, Kid: 17, Mortimer: 17, Reeves: 17</p><p> lower midcard: Garry: 14 </p><p> </p><p> Wait, Joe got a point by being on the losing side of a tag match? That´s great news and makes me more happy than I probably shoud be but I was seriously questioning if anything expect wins for guy at same or above popularity would ever raise your popularity so this and that point from draw Smooth gained in last show really helps to gain some faith back on managing to eventually rise my guys popularity over that damn 17 points. Other than that, Silencer gained a point by beating Cobra who unfortunalely dropped back to 17 (guess who´s going to have match against Kid in next show in order to push him back to 18). Kid and Rex also climbed back to 17 while Garry got another two points to push himself up to 14. I decided to keep Jolson on this list as well since he´s part of the roster and thus affect pushes for other guys but he´s popularity ain´t going to change for obvious reasons. On finance side, we lost 4,503$ this month.</p></div><p></p><p></p>

I have considered bringing him in when we grow to small anyway but now he gets a chance to show if he can be bigger name than jobber bit earlier. He´s basically taking Jolson´s spot (4th heel) on the roster (in my mind at least since game likely have differend idea) but has chance to get higher if he performs well. Revell did leave IPW at January 2017 after 5 - 1 - 5 year with D as average match rating, he was holding their Californian title at the start of the year and dropped it to Lug Phelan in March. This year he´s only been in three independent shows with E+ ratings on all three matches so jury is a out on how useful he can be with me but I´d assume he can at least pull those E+ match ratings he´s done in independence scene and that´s going to be good enough for time being (pretty much better or equal what Jolson had). Revell signed two years contract with 600$ per show.</p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p>

Matches were booked in a way that both Seth and Jolson would hopefully push themselves back to 18 popularity while other non-jobbers would hopefully stay were thet were. The small roster size is slighly starting to cause me problems, which is one of the reasons why I did go Silencer vs. Smooth this early as ideally I would have wanted to have Silencer beating Jolson or Cobra or someone on the midcard before throwing him to title match but I just didn´t have other good options as challengers since I want to keep Queen away from Smooth at the time being (probably won´t be a big surprise if I tell that they two are going to feud soon) and everyone else has already defeated by Smooth at least once (with both Seth and Joe already having feuded with Smooth as well). The draw was there to give a reason for Silencer to challenge again as he isn´t really established enough (he has only beaten two jobbers and been on the a tag match that ended up in a draw so far) yet to get multiple shots if beaten cleanly.</p><p> </p><p> Also, speaking of repeating match-ups, it´s also on show with Queen vs. Mortimer match as the two just had a short feud and throwing a random singles match right after that isn´t what I would like to do but Queen needed to have a match in order to set-up the angle afterwards and while I could have put him against Cobra (needed to have Seth beat Reeves in order to regain popularity as Mortimer did fall to 16 after last show and other three heels are in storylines so random losses aren´t on the card for them thus leaving me very little options), I didn´t really want to do that either so Mortimer was thrown in. Of course, signing a random guy for one shot deal is an option that would help here but I´m still planning on stubbornly refuse to do so. Overall this isn´t a big deal and hopefully I´m able to rise into small soon enough (meaning four extar guys need to join the roster thus giving me slighly more options) but just thought it´s worth to point out.</p><p> </p><p> On the grades, itself, well, I´m obviously happy to get a D rating from a build-up show. I made sure to praise Smooth and Silencer for their performance and Seth also got a praise on dragging Reeves into D- rated match. Other than that, it was the standard E or E+ rated matches that I´m come to expect from jobber vs. bigger name matches, Whittorse and Joe didn´t have particularly good angle but then again, Joe never been good on those so it´s not a big surprise. After the show, I got a pop-up saying that Whitehorse and Mortimer are now good friends, which is nice little bonus, even if Mortimer doesn´t fit to my long term plans.</p><p> </p><p> Popularities after this show looks like this:</p><p> main event: Smooth: 20, Cobra: 19, Queen: 20, Whittaker: 19</p><p> upper midcard: Jolson: 18 Joe: 18, Seth: 18, Silencer: 18 </p><p> midcard: Garry: 12, Kid: 16, Mortimer: 17, Reeves: 16, </p><p> </p><p> So Smooth actually gained a point on draw? That´s the first time during this save as far as I remember that someone gained a point on something else than beating guy with equal or higher popularity (assuming they already were on 17 or higher of course) so really glad to see that. Jolson and Seth also gained a point as planned as did Mortimer while Garry gained another two points so good day overall. Kid and Reeves dropped a point but that´s expected and they will likely get that back on next show.</p><p> </p><p> On other roster news, Justice Jolson and Rex Reeves are now good friends, while Reese Paige and Rex Reeves have started dating. I was considering dropping Reeves and keeping Mortimer (who is Whitehorse´s good friend) but this might help Reeves stay over Mad Dog for one more year (whoever is going to get resigned, gets a year contract with no real chance on getting another extension after it ends). Then again, just day later I learned that Justice Jolson was signed by GSW and they hold shows on Friday week 3 every month basically meaning that I need to either chance the date of my shows or essentially losing Jolson even if he´s technically still having a contract with me for next 15 months. Now, changing the date of the show is easy to do and have no penalty as far as I know so that would be the logical solution. However, I do feel that´s bit unrealistic as Jolson ain´t really important enough name to warrant that kind of schedule change and I have had quite smooth sailing in terms of roster stability so far so I think I´m just going to accept the fact that Jolson is basically stolen from me and just hire someone else on his place. I won´t terminate his contract though as he´s basically done nothing wrong (I doubt the game would consider two promotions having same scheduled show date when talent makes their decision about signing so no point holding this over Jolson) so he´s technically part of the roster well over next year but likely won´t be actually seen unless he´s kicked out from GSW.</p></div><p></p><p></p>

Jolson also declares that he should have been the top guy from the beginning thanks to his might and only some extremely unfortunate circumstances and few interferences from lesser wrestlers have left him outside looking in as far as top of the ladder goes but for this day on, no one will come to his way on his quest to get into top and if someone will try... well, they are going to regret it big time. Show ends with O´Hara wondering why the attack happened. D</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Show Rating: D</p><p> </p><p> Comments: D for the show were we got only one D- rated match (although that was our best rated D- match hopping 4th in our top 100 matches list so pretty close to D)? I take it, thanks angles! This show was mostly about starting storylines and trying to gain popularity for main faces. The Silencer beating Mortimer was first of those popularity gain things as both were on 17 and Silencer needs to build himself up since he´s feuding with Smooth next. Main event was also about popularity fix as it dawned me after the last show recap that four of my top five guys (in terms of popularity) are heels and thus Queen and Joe did go over Jolson and Cobra in the main event, also, Queen going over Jolson starts a storyline between the two, hence Jolson´s promo earlier in the show were he promises new rise only to be beaten in the main event. Whittaker versus Joe is going ot be the third feud at the time being. By the way, originally it was supposed to be Whitthorse vs. Jolson and Seth vs. Queen (assuming I could have turned Jolson and Seth but as said, it was too early for aligment change so those plans where put on hold). I still plan to run at least Seth vs. Queen at some point since both being TCW graduates but only Queen being hyped as such in this diary makes a decent storyline where Seth would feel that he´s been overlooked and that Queen has been handed opportunities just because he´s bragging on being graduate from TCW. As a side note, when deciding characters for original roster members, I actually wasn´t aware that Seth was also a graduate so the original reason for only Queen being hyped as one was simply because I didn´t know Seth´s history so it´s more of a happy coincidence than planning that this storyline fell into my lap but hey, everything counts right? <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Reeves got a rare win over Garry mainly to ensure that he got back to 17 popularity as I need him to donate that point to Seth in order to push Seth back to 18. Whitthorse vs. Kid was mostly a filler but I also wanted to check what kind of ratings I could expect from Whitehorse. Overall, I was pretty happy about the show, angles delivered well and matches were ok quality. I praised Jolson (were that D+ angre rating came from? He was rated for entertainment not menace so I have no idea but I take it), Garry (continues to do good job with E+ ratings while other jobbers usually settle for E-) and Whittaker (D- rating from his first match gives me hope about him not being a complete miss as main event guy). Cobra would had deserved a compliment as well, but other thee have simply had less times on my good side so figured they could use the praise more.</p><p> </p><p> Right, lets see if I managed to achieve my goal about the popularoty rise/switch</p><p> main event: Smooth: 19, Cobra: 19, Queen: 20, Whittaker: 19</p><p> upper midcard: Jolson: 17 Joe: 18, Seth: 17, Silencer: 18 </p><p> midcard: Garry: 10, Kid: 17, Mortimer: 16, Reeves: 17, </p><p> </p><p> So Cobra dropped a point while Jolson lost two points for being the guy who was pinned. Queen gained a point while Joe stayed at 18 meaning that I lost two points of popularity on that tag match, not impressive. On plus side, Silencer gained a point as planned as did Reeves. Mortimer dropped a point but that´s easy enough to replace. Garry gained 2 points, geting closer to that magical 17 points. Overall, nothing too surprising, Joe not getting any popularity was a disappointment but other than that, it was about what I expected.</p></div><p></p><p></p>
  6. <p></p><div style="text-align:center;"><p> Roster Moves:</p><p> </p><p> New Signing:</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="02tjC91.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/02tjC91.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Whitehorse Whittaker</p><p> Age: 29</p><p> Populairty around USA: E- (19 to be precise)</p><p> Heel, Grizzled Tough</p><p> Whittaker was released from NYCW in May 2016 and had been on my radar ever since. With me being happy about my current grades and wrestlers, I feel that I could affort experiment a little bit and Whitehorse is the guy that I plan to do so, namely I plan to see if he could be serviable main event guy for local company. Now the main reason I wanted to try this is that the only times I have seen him are in NYCW diaries and even then, he´s pretty much always been a tag team jobber and one of my favorite things to do is to try to make a star out of someone overlooked. Will I succeed? Hell no, but it won´t stop me from trying. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Failing that, he could always become a valuable tag guy with Howlin´ Mad Mort when I decide to start a tag team division (and decide that I can hire employed wrestlers assuming that Mort still has a job at that point). Whittaker signed for 600$ show on three years which admittably is a bit much money thrown on an experiment for the time being, but he is in fact one of the cheapest guys I could get on that popularity level and how badly could you fail with heavyweight brawler that can play brute? </p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p>
  7. June 2017 Friday, week 3 ESE Eternal Storm San Juan High School (Puerto Rico) Attendance: 79 1 vs. 1 vs. Quentin Queen vs. Mad Dog Mortimer In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Quentin Queen defeated Mad Dog Mortimer in 5:45 by pinfall with a Q-Ball. "Smooth or Joe, which ever of you is carrying that belt after tonight, you better put yorself on red alert because you are in war." D- 1 vs. 1 vs. Garry The Entertainer vs. Cobra In a decent match, Cobra defeated Garry The Entertainer in 5:35 by pinfall with a Solid Snake Stunner. Notes: Seth was really off his game Performance: Seth: E+, Jolson: E+ WINNER: Justice Jolson by pinfall in 7:42 E+ 1 vs. 1 for the King og the Network belt vs. Regular Joe vs. Austin Smooth In a decent match, Austin Smooth defeated Regular Joe in 9:50 by submission with a Smooth Hold. Austin Smooth makes defence number 4 of his ESE King of the Network title. Notes: Joe´s gimmick is becoming stale Performance: Joe: E+, Smooth: D WINNER: Austin Smooth by pinfall in 9:50 D- Show Rating: D- Comments: Wait, what? How did Cobra and Garry pull out a D in a throw a way match like that? I really need push Cobra towards main event do I? Well to be fair, there´s not whole lot difference between "main eventer" and "midcarder" right now anyway as shown with Cobra having the highest popularity from my guys at the moment. Still, really impressive showing from both and I made sure to tell them that after the show while also complimenting Jolson for his higher than average E+ rating in a match were his opponent had an off night. The current storylines ended with this show so it´s time to start new ones. As with the storylines and their endings, Queen over Mortimer and Smooth over Joe were planned from the beginning (yeah, I knoe, big surprises and all ) by me but Jolson over Seth was last minute decision, originally Seth was planned to go over here but for next set of feuds, Jolson is going to have one and Seth ain´t so it made more sense to keep Jolson strong here as Seth was on 17 and Jolson on 19 before the show and putting Seth on higher popularity just served no purpose at the time being. Speaking of popularity, here´s how the overness levels look after this show: main event: Smooth: 19, Cobra: 20, Jolson: 19 upper midcard: Joe: 18, Queen: 19 Seth: 17 midcard: Mortimer: 17, Reeves: 16, Silencer: 17 lower midcard: Kid: 17 Enchantment talent: Garry: 8 So, basically no changes expect Silencer and Garry gaining few points and Reeves loosing one. So pretty much what I would expect based on previous results so not much to talk on this one. Next post will show you my latest roster addition as I continue to grow my roster for a bit in order to find fresh feuds and getting bit more ready to move into small once that would happen. Not quite sure when that will actually happen but I should have ESE´s popularity around 12 popularity at the end of the year since I have grown 0,5% per show so far, so I´m expecting it to happen somewhere at the first half of 2018. On finances, we lost yeat another 3 530$. I´m not even going to bother mention about Smooth not getting a match in FCW (seriously, he still had none) so I´m only going to mention if he actually does something there.
  8. May 2017 Friday, week 3 ESE Eternal Storm San Juan High School (Puerto Rico) Attendance: 66 ANGLE: Look, it´s Smooth on the ring and he has a microphone (seriously, how many times I have started a show like this? ). Smooth again starts by praising himself to moon before finally getting into his point. He tells audience that tonight, he´s once again will heroically defend his belt against worthy opponent but after that, it looks like he has to deal with that annoying mister Average Jon that is still thinking he can share a spotlight with Austin. "So James, prepare yourself because the great one will grand you your undeserved title shot next month and one I´m done with you, I don´t want to see you ever again". D 1 vs. 1 vs. Regular Joe vs. Rex Reeves In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Regular Joe defeated Rex Reeves in 7:07 by pinfall with a Joe And Behold. Notes: - Performance: Joe: E+, Reeves: E- WINNER: Regular Joe by pinfall in 7:07 E+ 1 vs. 1 vs. Garry The Entertainer vs. Mad Dog Mortimer In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but terrible wrestling, Mad Dog Mortimer defeated Garry The Entertainer in 5:55 by pinfall with a DDT. Notes: Garry and Mad Dog didn´t click at all Performance: Garry: E-, Mortimer: F+ WINNER: Mad Dog Mortimer by pinfall in 5:55 E- ANGLE: After his match, Mortimer takes a microphone as he has some things to say. He starts by telling that people has asked him after last month time and time again, why did he attack Quentin Queen? What he could gain from that? Mortimer gives us the answer telling that all his career he has never been anywhere near on top despite attepting to rise into top numerous times during his long career and now that he´s close to 40, his time is running out so he decided to that he needed to try at least once more to raise into the ranks. And the best way to do so is to beat someone who is considered bigger than himself and Queen has undeservingly got that status, just because he´s graduated fron TCW dojo. Mortimer tells Queen that he´s nothing more than a young punk who has born with silver spoon in his mouth and is considered huge deal just because he´s association while Mortimer himself have had to fight for every opportunity he had and now he´s going ot fight once more and use Queen as a stepping stone towards the top. At this point, Queen does interfere, telling Mortimer that he´s welcome to try to beat him as he have tried (and failed) several times before but that if Mortimer thinks that Queen have had everything handed for him, he´s wrong. Queen says that he have had to work hard to gain his status and while he´s association with TCW has helped him a bit, he still have had to prove himself constantly and appearantly needs to do so once again against Mortimer next month. E 2 vs. 2 & vs. & The Silencer & Seth Whitehead vs. Justice Jolson & Cobra In a decent match, The Silencer and Seth Whitehead drew with Justice Jolson and Cobra in 8:27 following a double count out. Notes: Silencer debuted Armed Forces gimmick with Average rating, Jolson was really off his game Performance: Silencer: D-, Seth: D- Jolson: E+ Cobra: D DRAW: by double count out 8:27 D- ANGLE: Seth and Jolson continued to beat each other´s senseless until security finally got them seperated, once they were, Seth takes a microphone and tells Jolson to get himself ready next month, because they are 1-1 now and tonight settled nothing to they are going to have another 1 vs. 1 match next month. Jolson agrees, telling Seth that he looks forward to overpower Seth once again. D 1 vs. 1 for the King og the Network belt vs. Kid Fantastic vs. Austin Smooth In a decent match, Austin Smooth defeated Kid Fantastic in 6:42 by submission with a Smooth Hold. Austin Smooth makes defence number 3 of his ESE King of the Network title. Notes: - Performance: Kid: E-, Smooth: D WINNER: Austin Smooth by submission in 6:42 D- Show Rating: D- Comments: Decent show here, nothing special in terms of ratings but it wasn´t meant to be either as it was pretty much a filler show in terms of matches. Had a hard time figuring out this card as I just didn´t really found a singles or tag match were I would had been happy about the outcome on the semi-main event spot. Main problems were that I didn´t want most of the top guys to lose there for various reasons, Joe because he´s facing Smooth, Seth & Jolson because I wanted to keep both strong before the deciding match next month and Cobra because he had most popularity at the moment and I was afraid having him to lose against enyone with less popularity as so far the losses on those have outweighted the gainst. I originally had Silencer in the match against Reeves and then Seth & Joe vs. Jolson & Cobra that would had ended in draw by double count out (with story reason being Jolson and Seth being too busy to pummel each other´s to get back into ring on time). However, once I decided to end the feuds next month (originally I thought about having another show before the end of current feuds but decided that it would be mostly stalling with no real development involved so decided against it) I realized that I wanted to have Silencer going over someone next month and Reeves was really the only option (wasn´t going to job Cobra to him as Silencer did stand on 12 popularity) and thus I changed the outcome of the tag match on last second having Jolson and Cobra win via DQ with Seth attacking Jolson (I planned to turn Seth heel after the feud and that would had foreshadowed the turn but like I said on last roster post, it was too early for that) figuring that Silencer should gain popularity there anyway and Queen shouldn´t be badly hurt with Cobra/Jolson being equal or higher popularity than him. Then I found out that the planned turns couldn´t happen, so decided to redo the tag match again, going back with the original plan expect Silencer was still in the tag match instead of Joe and Joe got the 1 vs. 1 match with Reeves (planned to have Queen there first but then realized that he just beat Rex last month). The other two matches were always going ot happen as I wanted to put another defence on Smooth before the unevitable title defence agaisnt Joe (I generally view 3 defenses as a spot were I could start to see belt changing hands and wanted to get into that territory before the blow off match). Mortimer did get his first (and potentially only) win in his ESE career as I wanted at least make him bit more legitimate opponent (not going to work but I could at least make a small effort to try to present him as such) before his match against Queen. As for compliments, well, I had to praise Smooth again as he really was out MVP (again), Silencer and Cobra also got praises for their good work. After show, Kid complained about his recent booking (yeah, it won´t get better, trust me on this Kid) and Queen told me that Garry The Entertainer is going to be a star. I could actually believe that as he´s the only one on talk to talk list and his in-ring ratings have been alright considering his a rookie with no popularity (he outperformed veteran Mad Dog on their match tonight, althought I admit the bar there is pretty low). He´s also on next big thing list just to make a point. That said, I´m pretty doubful Garry would get above jobber status on his current stint here, but he´s someone I could see myself bringing later into bigger role if right spot opens up in the future. main event: Smooth: 19, Cobra: 20, Jolson: 19 upper midcard: Joe: 18, Queen: 19 Seth: 17 midcard: Kid: 17, Mortimer: 17, Reeves: 17 lower midcard: Silencer: 14 Enchantment talent: Garry: 6 No changes on overness front other than Silencer and Garry both getting 2 points. Good to know that the draw in the tag match didn´t affect the popularity levels as I was slighly unsure of that. 4 350$ were lost this time around and Smooth didn´t have a match in FCW this time either.
  9. Roster Moves: New Signing: The Silencer Age: 35 Popularity in USA: F+ Face, Armed Forces When looking at new talent who could fit into main event and would be cheap (not an easy combo to achieve), Silencer was the one guy that stood out with strong ratings everywhere (scouting level is 3 so no idea of actual skills) and as a bonus, he´s good backstage influence too. Now I do play fog of war on and don´t have previous experience on him (in my own games, pretty sure I saw him few times in other diaries but don´t really remember his performance in any) so might be wrong here but pretty sure he shouldn´t be unemployed or so cheap so I had to bite. The Silencer will start as a face since I have a feud on mind with him (for certain reasons that I will talk more about once the feud starts) and will be considered as 3rd main eventer (despite him starting at lower midcard) alongside Joe and Queen. Now, I know it might seem bit unbalanced to put him as a face main event guy when there´s only one on heel side (still considering Cobra and Jolson as midcard guys) but there´s at least one other signing in the near future and that will slighly even up the field. I also had two turns planned when making this decision only to find out later that it´s still too early for those so that plan was put on hold and this will affect my booking plans for near future as two out of the three planned feuds were build around those turns (yep, I screwed up again and forgot to check if the turns would be ok before actually trying to turn one of them ). Silencer agreed on 3 years contract with 500$ per show.

He declares that now that he have defeated Regular Nobody, it´s time for him to face "real" challengers, starting today as he faces newcomer Garry The Entertainer with the belt on the line. Smooth is interrupted by Regular Joe who reminds Smooth that he has a rematch option and that he´s planning on using it, but Smooth counters that Joe has to wait as Smooth has lined some "more deserving" contenders before Joe. Joe simply nobs and calmly declares that he´s not going to interfere anyone´s dreams on becoming champion so he waits as he will eventually get his rematch and that the only question is if Smooth still holds the belt at that time or not. Smoot looks annoyed by this, obviously not happy about Joe´s calm statement nor the suggestion that he could lose the belt. Pretty happy about the show either way, Seth and Justice did what I expected, two angles impressed with D ratings and Garry had a good debut match (against Smooth but still). I complimented Seth (turned D- in a losing effort and also helped backstage atmosphere before the show by doing impressions), Garry (E rating in first match is not bad, espesially when you have F- popularity in popularity based company) and Queen (D- isn´t common for him yet and he has been praised the least among my top guys). With Ramone gone, I had a hard time figuring good storyline as Cobra and Queen were the only non-jobbers available and they just feuded last year. Because of this, I was considering about hiring midcard level guy instead of Garry for a while but eventually settled to give Mad Dog an actual feud with Queen (ironically enough, I ended up hiring extra guy after this show anyway so not good planning skills showed here <img alt=":o" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/redface.png.900245280682ef18c5d82399a93c5827.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />). Now, this will be a filler feud and likely short one, they will probably meet just once or twice at max and don´t expect Mortimer to win those encounters. Still, this is likely as high as he gets within ESE so hope he enjoys the moment. As you could see, I also have continued throwing jobbers into occasional title matches. This is simply done for the same reason than before, keeping the belt on spotlight as much as possible and putting some defenses under champions belt. Of course, with heel being the champion, the storyline has to be differend so instead of being "fighting champion", Smooth gives shots to lowercard guys in order to avoid "real" opponents. Funny how exactly same thing can be twisted to look completely differend, isn´t it? <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> You know how this works by now so lets see if there´s any overness chances this time around:</p><p> </p><p> main event: Smooth: 19, Cobra: 20, Jolson: 19 </p><p> upper midcard: Joe: 18, Queen: 19 Seth: 17 </p><p> midcard: Kid: 17, Mortimer: 17, Reeves: 17</p><p> lower midcard: Garry: 4</p><p> </p><p> Jolson and Seth were both at 18 so no suprise that Jolson gained a point and Seth lost one. Kid and Reeves also both gained a point and thus are back to 17. Garry started with 0 so he gained 4 points, I expect to see him at 17 before the end of the year. As for othert backstage news, I did tweak Rex´s gimmick as it got the becoming stale note during the show. No matches for Smooth in FCW.</p><p> </p><p> We took 4056$ loss this month, which is actually little less that I expected with me using my full roster. That said, I plan to bring pair of extra guys in soon (one actually right now since I want to build him up a bit before his first feud and another guy likely after current feuds have run their course so about 2 - 3 months from now) so expenses are going back up. Extra guys are needed mostly simply because I need new feud options and don´t really want to cut current midcard or above guys (also Joe and Cobra are only midcard or above guys who´s contract will be up in next 18 months and while I could cut people at any time, I dislike doing it unless there´s actual reason like wrestling wasted).Plus we are making steady progress towards small were I need to have 16 guys so might as well prepare roster for that as I don´t like the idea of suddenly bringing in half dozen new guys at the same time (And may I just ask were was this logic when you decided to put Mortimer into feud instead of hiring new guy???? Oh well, there´s a point here on Queen vs. Mortimer feud being so short that it wasn´t really worth it to put bigger name against Queen there anyway but I do find it quite funny that I made almost a full 180 between pre and post show regarding hiring new talent).</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="foolinc" data-cite="foolinc" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45829" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>You are paying the travel costs of your roster? That said, I do realize that I basically paid him more than I should had for the role I had for him and pay increase (even if affortable for actual finances point) weren´t on the card as I still liked to pretend running a somewhat tight budjet... not that I´m doing particularly well on that but that´s another story. Realistically, Ramone wasn´t going to rise above midcard position (despite what his push would say at any given time) in my plans so assuming he can keep his job in FCW (bit unlikely with that simmering tension with Stranger after his recent booker rant), leaving ESE could well be a good for his future as he´s now more likely to be able to keep the popularity gains he make. With my current policy being not to sign anyone who works in other companies, Ramone will be off limits from me for time being but assuming he becomes available again (or I decide to drop that "can´t work elsewhere" rule) I could see myself bringing him back in the future although I would assume he would only get similar jobber/midcard role than what he held this time. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Hyde Hill" data-cite="Hyde Hill" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45829" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Actually you can get away with hiring Felipe with travel NOT covered for the same 400, is why I suggested him. Also, right now 350$ for travel costs is bit too much and with Felipe demanding 400$ per show, that combined with travel costs would pretty much make him one of the highest paid guys despite him having no popularity in USA. That said, I plan to lift that hiring rule when ESE grows to small as I´m more willing to hire outside of USA then (although I initially plan to hire from USA even after growing for reason I will discuss later when my posting catches up with my actual progress) so I keep him on mind. </p><p> </p><p> Silencer on the other hand I actually did hire already and he´s instantly been one of the best performers so I have to echo your statement on him being great and cheap pick up for small feds.</p>

Wow, didn´ t expect that but both main event and sem-main event delivered, as did Regular Joe in the opening match so really nice show. I did compliment Seth and Austin and also gave Ramone a compliment as "thank you for working with us" way. Joe and Cobra would have deserved a praise too but they have to wait for another time. On booking view point, I wanted Smooth to have a title defense here but suitable candidates were kind of low (which is to be expected with such a small roster) so I ended up picking Seth as opponent even though he just came off from a feud with Smooth. Ramone jobbed to Cobra here to give him some popularity before leaving. This will leave me with bit of an ankward spot with one storyline ending here (obviously since Ramone is gone) and Queen and Cobra being the only established guys with no feud and they just came off from one with each other´s so I have to figure something else out. Joe and Jolson both get wins over jobbers in a hope to start regaining some lost popularity.</p><p> </p><p> And again, here´s how the popularities look after this show</p><p> main event: Smooth: 19, Cobra: 20, Queen: 19, </p><p> upper midcard: Jolson: 18, Joe: 18, Seth: 18, </p><p> midcard: Mortimer: 17, Reeves: 16, Ramone: 18 </p><p> lower midcard: Kid: 16</p><p> </p><p> Cobra gained two points while Jolson and Joe both gained one so that did go like I hoped it would. Ramone dropped from 21 to 18 while Reeves and Kid both lost a point. So about what was to be expected there as well so no complains this time, although I´m slighly disappointed that Smooth didn´t gain a point from beating Seth in D rated match. On finances side, only using 8 guys instead of them helped the finances a bit this month and we only lost 3 867$ as a result. Smooth didn´t have a match this time either with FCW so no changes for his popularity there.</p></div><p></p><p></p>
  14. February 2017 Friday, week 3 ESE Eternal Storm San Juan High School (Puerto Rico) Attendance: 49 1 vs. 1 vs. Kid Fantastic vs. Cobra In a decent match, Cobra defeated Kid Fantastic in 6:22 by submission with a Viper Vice. Notes: - Performance: Kid: E-, Cobra: D- WINNER: Cobra by submission in 6:22 E+ ANGLE: After his match, Cobra takes a microphone and challenges Ramone for another match between the two, declaring that he has Ramone in the ropes now and it´s time to deliver the killing blow. Ramone answer the challenge, saying that he has no broblems booking a dance with Cobra next month and that he knows it´s going to be wild party, dude. But it´s going to be Cobra who has his lights cut out early because no-one parties harder and longer than Ramone. E+ 1 vs. 1 & vs. & Quentin Queen & Ricochet Ramone vs. Mad Dog Mortmer & Rex Reeves In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Quentin Queen and Ricochet Ramone defeated Mad Dog Mortimer and Rex Reeves in 5:46 when Quentin Queen defeated Rex Reeves by pinfall with a Q-Ball. Notes: - Performance: Queen: E+, Ramone: E+, Mortimer: E-, Reeves: E- WINNER: Quentin Queen & Ricochet Ramone by pinfall in 5:46 E+ 1 vs. 1 vs. Seth Whitehead vs. Justice Jolson In a decent match, Seth Whitehead defeated Justice Jolson in 8:14 by submission with a Minnesota Stretch. Notes: - Performance: Seth: D-, Jolson: E+ WINNER: Seth Whitehead by submission in 8:14 D- ANGLE: Seth doesn´t get to celebrate his submission win for long as Jolson attacks him right after he recovers. Seth tries to fight back but is eventually overwelmed by Jolson and is left battered in the ring. D 1 vs. 1 for the King og the Network belt vs. Regular Joe vs. Austin Smooth In a decent match, Austin Smooth defeated Regular Joe in 7:33 by submission with a Smooth Hold. Austin Smooth wins the ESE King of the Network title. Notes: - Performance: Joe: E+, Smooth: D WINNER: Austin Smooth by submission in 7:33 D Show Rating: D- Comments: I felt it was time to put the belt on Smooth as Joe had a good run with it in terms of defenses and Smooth has been proven to be the top guy in terms of in-ring skills (not a surprise at all). Jolson and Seth also surprised me with D- rated match so lots of reason to be happy here. I complimented Smooth and Joe (just had to, they had the first D rated match in ESE´s history), but the third one was tough, as Seth and Jolson both deserved a praise and I would have liked to praise Ramone as well, both to make him slighly happier for contract negotions (he´s irritated at the moment from assigned push as I didn´t realize to look his popularity gain with FCW back in November and thus didn´t push him as main eventer when I should had) and because he does deserve it by turning E+ performance which I believe is his best one so far with us. In the end, I did pick Jolson, mostly because I wasn´t certain I could keep Ramone and while Seth was better in the match, he was underwhelming in the angle after it and my policy is to praise loser over winner if both guys deserve a praise since winner already got his reward by winnin the match. As for Ramone, I originally had Ramone and Cobra facing each other´s here (with Kid being in the tag match instead of Ramone) but desided to postpone it for a month as the outcome of that match would depend on Ramone´s contract situation. Then again, having him lose his extra popularity could have helped to keep his demands at the same level than what they were, we have to see that. And again, here´s how the popularities look after this show main event: Smooth: 19, Queen: 19, Ramone: 22 upper midcard: Cobra: 18, Joe: 17, Seth: 18 midcard: Jolson: 17 , Mortimer: 17, Reeves: 17, lower midcard: Kid: 17 So Smooth gained a point and Joe lost three points?... yeah, that sucks. Reeves gained a point despite losing putting him back to 17 and everyone else stayed were they had been (Ramone gained that popularity in FCW February show). So overall, really bad month and it will take a long time to reclaim the lost popularity here but lesson learned, you can´t put someone less popular over more popular guy unless you willing to suffer a net popularity loss, the gains just ain´t worth it unless the losing guy is someone who you don´t mind losing popularity or is someone who you know can build himself back up without too much effort (looking at you Ramone). God, I really hope Ramone doesn´t ask a pay raise... And in the very next day, Ramone decides to have a booker rant about Handsome Stranger and they now have simmering tension, not a good career move there mate. And Ramone did ask a pay raise, wanting 700$ per show. I´m so tempted to pay him that in order to keep someone who can donate popularity to my other guys, but I just can´t justify making him the highest paid guy in my roster (he basically already makes more than I should be paying him with 600$ per month) so he is out after my next show (I will certainly regret this but I still like to at least pretend I have tight finances and his ratings don´t justify his cost). Reeves on the other hand agreed to continue working with 400$ (same than before) so he stays for another year. FCW show didn´t bring much changes to popularities either as they still haven´t figured that Smooth is in their roster (he didn´t have a match again) while Ramone lost to Marvel Malloy in C- rated match and lost a popularity point... really? I mean not that I care for that much since Ramone is leaving and all but good god if C- rated match against a midcard guy with D- popularity (Ramone is opener and has E- popularity) isn´t enough to keep your popularity level then I´m really don´t see how this works... I guess he had to be on very low 22 then, but still, that really shocked me as I was assuming that good enough match grades could in fact help your popularity even when you lose (pretty sure it worked that way on previous versions?) but that´s either not the case of C- wasn´t high enough grade. NOTE: Reading this now that I posting it, there´s few points that I´d like to discuss as my original post feels like there´s a bit too much ranting and just being bit too negative in general (and not really for a good reason either). First of all, I learned out later that you can gain popularity even on losing with lesser grades than C- so there´s likely some unknown factors behind that popularity drop from Ramone but that certainly scared the hell out from me when I saw that in the first time. Second, I´d wonder if keep strong or similar booking note could have helped keep Joe´s popularity drop less severe. I have to admit that I haven´t really experimented with those notes so maybe that´s something I´d suppose to do more (not happening this year as I´m already booked to end of the year by now but perhaps something to keep in mind for the future). I did think about just editing the post show part of my original writing above before submitting but decided to keep it there instead as it does reflect my mood at that point and shows how I struggled to figure how the popularity worked in this game (it gets better later on, well not really the figuring out part but somehow it´s been working bit better lately).

Seth counters by telling Jolson that he has been looking arena lights in the title matches so many times that it was a miracle that a loser like him even got a shot but what isn´t surprising is the fact that he once again, failed to capture the belt. Jolson ain´t liking what he´s hearing and tells Seth that he´s going to regret those words next month as they will face each other´s in singles match next month. Seth on the other hand, seems just as eager as Jolson to get into that match, declares that he will give Jolson another beating. After that, Ramone seems to lose the main idea of his promo as he starts talking about a party his planning to go after the show, although he does remember to inform Cobra that he likely wouldn´t be getting in because he´s too boring for a big party like the one Ramone is heading. This was another one of those shows were all feuds were forwarded by angles. I struggled a bit on figuring a character for Ramone, and ended up using kind of laid back dude gimmick who has bit of a short attention span and who likes partying. Not entairly happy about that promo but then again, I never been particularly good with promos or character building so that´s nothing new. Other than that, I wanted to give Smooth and Queen a slight push on popularity and thus had them beat Ramone and Jolson with all of them being on same popularity before the show (FCW show from January didn´t chance Ramone´s or Smooth´s popularity by the way, Ramone lost to Mutant and Smooth didn´t had a match at all.), while hoping that tag loss won´t hurt Conra´s popularity. I complimented Joe, Cobra and Queen this time, Joe and Cobra for getting the best performance ratings of the night and Queen mainly because he´s one of the few top guys who haven´t get much compliments and with no-one doing anything particularly impressive, I felt it was a good time to give Queen a praise just to make him a bit happier. </p><p> </p><p> Lets see how the popularities did change this time around:</p><p> main event: Smooth: 18, Queen: 19, Joe: 20, </p><p> upper midcard: Cobra: 18, Ramone: 18 , Seth: 18 </p><p> midcard: Jolson: 17 , Mortimer: 17, Reeves: 16, </p><p> lower midcard: Kid: 17</p><p> </p><p> So Queen and Joe gained a point while Cobra, Jolson and Reeves lost one, Bit disappointed that Smooth didn´t gain a point by beating Ramone but at least Ramone didn´t lose popularity either so it evens out. Kid not gaining anything from winning the tag match also disappointed me slighly considering that both Cobra and Reeves lost a point, but I guess that´s what major negative momentum gives you so can´t complaint too much there either espesially since Joe did got popularity increase from that (wasn´t really expecting that). So overall, slighly disappointed how things did go here but it´s nothing too bad. During the time between this and next show, I did extend Kid Fantastic´s contract by a year as he still only asked 400$ per month and I have no complains about him so I´m satisfied to have him continue in ESE with that prize tag. We also took 5 190$ loss this month, with sponsor money increasing slighly each month and expenses staying about at the same (expect when we don´t use our full roster), we are slowly making less and less losses in terms of losing money but it´s still a long way to go before we actually start making profit espesially since I don´t look to cut anyone from the current roster in order to cut costs. In FCW, Smooth once again didn´t have a match but Ramone did as he was on the losing side with Bull Wrecker against Mutant and Laine thus helping his popularity to rise from 18 to 22 making him most popular guy in my roster (again). Bit of bad timing for that as he´s contract is up in a month and while I´m willing to pay him the 600$ per show he currently asks (he´s popularity gains in FCW are a big help) I´m not really willing to pay him any more than that so chances are I´m going to cut him if he asks for a pay raise.</p></div><p></p><p></p>
  16. <p></p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>Roster Review:</p><p> </p><p> After full year, I like to review my roster and talk a bit about how I think things had gone and were everyone stands in terms of push. Overall, the progress to small size has been nice, it will still likely take over a year to get there but at least I´m progressing towards it. The popularity problem is well documented here so not going to touch that here, at least it´s looks like that I´m slowly making progress on that as well. Size of the roster is about what it could be on local, I will likely get two new guys (most likely main event heel and jobber face) somewhere during the year if for nothing else than to give new match options but 12 wrestlers is the maximum I plan to go before I´m at least very close to small (which at the current space should be around end of the year). I won´t bother to put non-wrestlers into this review as I have pretty much nothing to say about them, they have all filled their place and that´s all I care so they are going to stay for the time being. I also decided that I want to include former employees on this review, kind of just looking how guys who have left one reason or another are doing. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Main event:</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="bsGXr0s.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bsGXr0s.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Austin Smooth:</p><p> Age: 22</p><p> Heel, Prima Donna.</p><p> Record (in ESE): 7 - 1 - 4</p><p> Average match Rating (in ESE): E+</p><p> Smooth was my top guy in terms of match ratings during the year being in 5 D- rated matches (out from 9) and will certainly hold the top heel spot at the start of 2017. Despite this, he only has minor positive momentum which indicates that I have missbooked him during the year. Oh well, he´s talented enough to get to the top even with bad booking so I´m not too worried. Look for Smooth to stay in the spotlight next year as well.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="HwG9s5O.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/HwG9s5O.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Cobra</p><p> Age: 26</p><p> Heel, Snake</p><p> Record (in ESE): 6 - 0 - 4</p><p> Average match Rating (in ESE): E+</p><p> Bit of a surprise main eventer at this point, although this is mostly just for the fact that I picked Cobra to go over Ramone and I personally still rate him as midcard guy. Regardless, Cobra has been surprisingly solid hand (he´s been in 3 of the 9 D- rated matches) and while I would still be likely to get another guy for the second heel spot in near future, Cobra will at least be a great third heel and outside of the current top three, he´s the first guy I would currently look to fill a main event spot if needed.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="M9kMTmh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/M9kMTmh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="ZiG1u8d.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ZiG1u8d.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Regular Joe</p><p> Age: 27</p><p> Face, Blue Collar</p><p> Record (in ESE): 10 - 1 - 1</p><p> Average match Rating (in ESE): E+</p><p> Joe did benefit from being the champion and that is shown by his win-loss record. He was in 4 of the 9 D- rated matches but unlike Smooth (or Cobra and Seth for that matter), he never really managed to turn those personal D- match ratings which is a strike against him considering that I mainly hired him for his in-ring skills. Still, he´s solid hand and while he haven´t been spectacular, he haven´t really had off nights either and will likely stay in my roster for a long time. I would still assume that Joe would eventually fall into more of a midcard role but right now I´m happy to have him as part of my top three.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Upper Midcard:</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="ETtXsFn.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ETtXsFn.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Justice Jonson</p><p> Age: 27</p><p> Heel, Strongman</p><p> Record (in ESE): 7 - 0 - 5</p><p> Average match Rating (in ESE): E+</p><p> I rate Jolson slighly below Cobra and Seth (big part of this is the average match ratings which I´m likely valuing too much considering my product) which would essentially put him at the bottom of my midcard and thus a likely cut if I need to start cutting guys in order to give myself room for new hires if/when new blood is required. That said, the cut wouldn´t happen before his current contract ends so he´s staying for quite a long while even at worst case. Also, he has managed to gain good momentum (assuming those monster unleashed angles had been helping since he´s actual win-loss record isn´t any better than other non-jobber guys) and that might help him to rise in the ranks and perhaps secure a job past 2018. Jolson has so far been 2 out of 9 D- rated matches. </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="1OOBqpp.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/1OOBqpp.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Quentin Queen</p><p> Age: 23</p><p> Face, Blue Chipper</p><p> Record (in ESE): 8 - 1 - 3</p><p> Average match Rating (in ESE): E+</p><p> Queen is pretty much in the same train than Joe, slighly disappointing personal match ratings (despite being in 4 of the 9 D- rated matches) but nothing too bad and is currently still seen as top face alongside Joe. Queen has complained about losses a few times (sure way to get into my bad side) which doesn´t help him. Regardless of small bumps, he´s still seen as top face and likely the one guy from current face side that I expect to stay on top when we grow into bigger size.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="PduipuV.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/PduipuV.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Seth Whitehead</p><p> Age: 23</p><p> Face, Bad Ass</p><p> Record (in ESE): 8 - 0 - 4</p><p> Average match Rating (in ESE): E+</p><p> Seth has been 3 out of 9 D- rated matches and is third guy alongside Smooth and Cobra who have managed to gain occasional D- as their personal match rating. That said, Seth is still seen as number three face and that´s likely were his current glass ceiling is going to be unless he catches fire big time. I´d likely keep Reeves for another year or two with the third year depending on few things (currently I plan to cut two jobber after this year and with Reeves, Kid and Mortimer being the jobbers that means that one will likely get a third year). Reeves is on time decline so that´s a strike against him but it´s still on early state and I don´t expect him to deliver ratings anyway so it´s not a big deal.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="dxRj2Kx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/dxRj2Kx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Ricochet Ramone</p><p> Age: 29</p><p> Face, Bubbly Babyface</p><p> Record (in ESE): 5 - 0 - 4</p><p> Average match Rating (in ESE): E</p><p> Being signed by FCW might help or hurt Ramone a bit. Help because that extra experience means we won´t be considered as jobber anymore (do be fair, he was kind of borderline midcard guy to begin with, as shown by his record), and hurt because he´s contract is coming up and I´m not willing to go above the 600$ per show that I´m currently paying him. Assuming he doesn´t ask a pay raise, he´s going to stay and while he will surely have some key losses during the year, you can expect him to get around the same record than this year. Despite the extra popularity and midcard status, he´s still considered number four face behind Seth and with his style holding him back, he needs to gain lots of popularity in FCW to rise any further on the ranks but he has chance to impress me thanks to being in a storyline with Cobra.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Lower Midcard:</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="XvsxvrU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/XvsxvrU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Kid Fantastic:</p><p> Age: 19</p><p> Face, Clubber</p><p> Record (in ESE): 1- 0 - 8</p><p> Average match Rating (in ESE): E</p><p> Kid is third guy alongside Ramone and Reeves who has he´s contract extension soon and like the other two, the idea would be to keep him at least for another year assuming he doesn´t ask a big pay raise. That said, with him being the only face jobber in the company (at the time being), he can´t be expected to do any better this year than what he did in last. As you can see, in the end, I decided to give Cobra the push by having him go over Ramone (mainly I felt it just made the most sense since he´s the one feuding with Ramone), although I did make it via cheating mainly because it fit into storyline I was building. Other than that, I gave Joe another defense while at the same time progressed another feud by having Seth and Jolson get a title shot, perhaps not the most logical choice considering that Jolson have had three shot this year thanks to his feud with Joe but it served it´s purpose. I did compliment Ramone, Jolson and Seth this time as all three of them had higher performance than normally.</p><p> </p><p> Now lets see how the popularities look at the end of the first year:</p><p> main event: Smooth: 18, Cobra: 19, Joe: 19, </p><p> upper midcard: Jolson: 18, Queen: 18, Seth: 18 </p><p> midcard: , Mortimer: 17, Reeves: 17, Ramone: 18</p><p> lower midcard: Kid: 17</p><p> </p><p> So, Cobra gained two points and Ramone lost three? Fair enough. Everyone else stayed were they had been. I think I´m slowly getting a hang on this one, doing this after every show had really helped me as earlier I just tended to be annoyed on seemingly not getting any progress but writing these things down really seem to help me concentrate more and notice the small changes that happen (and also helped me realize that the flip side being popularity ain´t lost quickly either making the low progress easier to accept). </p><p> </p><p> Funny fact: Guess who has the best momentum out from my guys? Did you say Justice Jolson? Because he´s the right answer being the only guy with major positive momentum. Joe, Seth and Queen all have positive while Smooth, Cobra and Ramone have minor positive. Reeves has negative while Kid and Mortimer have major negative, not that it matters as they seem to be able to stay on 17 popularity regardless and have zero chance getting higher right now. As for finances, I took yet another 5 372$ loss this month.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="foolinc" data-cite="foolinc" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45829" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Mad Dog Mortimer is complaining about booking decisions? That said, I was thinking of ways to put Ramone somewhere in here as I kind of wanted his extra popularity elsewhere (remember he´s still classified as jobber/midcarder while being main eventer thanks to his popularity gain) but the number one contender match I had last month kind of painted me into corner as far as Joe´s next title defense was concerned (no storyline reason to add third guy or have Joe face Ramone first). I was also considering who I would want to gain Ramone´s popularity (spoilers, he´s going to donate some of that to somebody else in near future) as Smooth was the obvious choice but with him also being in FCW, I don´t think he needs the extra help. Joe or Queen would be the next most logical choice but with Joe tied to Austin and Queen not being in storyline (and thus not being a priority for a push right now) made those unlikely options as well. Oh and also those would both had been face vs. face matches and while I´m not completely against doing those, I still like to avoid them if possible. Cobra or Jolson would be the next logical options then but I´m uncertain if putting either one as my most over guy is any better than just having Ramone be on top. In the end, I decided to postpone a decision here a bit and see how that extra popularity helps Ramone. And yes, the dynamics of this save did chance surprisingly much with those two FCW signings. I did praise Queen (more because he´s unhappy than for him doing something great) Joe and Austin (again, two best rated segments in the show included them). </p><p> </p><p> Here´s how the popularities stand after my show:</p><p> main event: Smooth: 18, Joe: 19, Ramone: 21</p><p> upper midcard: Jolson: 18, Queen: 18, Seth: 18</p><p> midcard: Cobra: 17, Mortimer: 17, Reeves: 17, </p><p> lower midcard: Kid: 17</p><p> </p><p> So no gains (other than Kid and Mortimer getting back to 17) but no losses either. Mortimer complained the recent bookings after the show but that won´t change anything. Also, some contracts were close to ending with Jolson, Seth and Mortimer or being on last month of their current contracts. I resigned Jolson for 500 per show for 2 years (100$ more than before), Seth for 400$ per show for three years (was 270$ before) and Mortimer for 300$ per show for a year (was 260$ before). Next ending contracts will be Kid Fantastic during 2 months and Ramone and Reeves after three months. Everyone else has at least a year left for their current contracts. So, I will lose slighly more money than before (and that will potentially increase with the trio of contracts ending soon) but all three were reasonable demands and I made sure to grab Seth for a 3 year contract as that will hopefully be a steal in a year or two. Speaking of losing more money, we had another 5 202$ lost this month. In FCW, Ramone had another match, this time beating Mutant but it didn´t change his popularity, Smooth on the other hand, didn´t have match this time either so he´s still stuck on were he was.</p></div><p></p><p></p>

Seth obviously isn´t happy about this remark and tells Jolson to f**k off and adds that if Jolson has a problem with him, his more than happy to beat him in-ring anytime, anywhere. D-</p><p> </p><p> Show Rating: D-</p><p> </p><p> Comments: Reese Page turned late into the show and I gave her a stern warning but nothing came out from it. Also Queen was unhappy about his loss but really, what did he expect? If he things he should win every match he will soon find himself on unemployment line. I complimented Seth, Jolson and Joe after the show, Seth and Jolson for the best grade of the show (the angle, of course, they always seem to do better than matches) and Joe for developing a new spot. Kid Fantastic complained after the show that I need to book him stronger, I guess he haven´t figured what he´s role is just yet. </p><p> </p><p> As for booking of the show, this one was mainly there to set up the next three feuds (Smooth vs. Joe, Ramone vs. Cobra and Seth vs. Jolson). The main event happened mainly since I wanted a good one and it made sense to put Austin and Queen into number one contender match after their big feud ending wins in the last show. Well, "made sense" in terms of them being booked decently strong, doesn´t really make a lot of sense to book first contender match on the first place for two of your top guys when guys like Reeves get one for free but hey, it gave me an excuse to put them against each other´s in a meaningful main event match so why not? Leaving Queen out from the feuds might be a bit of a mistake as putting Ramone in feud means I have essentially just one face jobber which might lead into problems when I need to keep the feuding guys and Queen all looking strong. I´m considering bringing two new guys in to fill the roster up a bit but on the same time, I slighly hesitant doing it while still losing 5000$ per month (4920$ this month, mainly because Ramone wasn´t used) as like I said before, I would like to keep the spirit of 0/0/0/0 alive a bit and that would mean being financically on profit or at least losing as little money as possible. Now mind you, adding new guys doesn´t instantly mean more expences as I could just leave guys out from the show to keep costs down, but top guys tend to get unhappy about that and I´d like to book as many guys into show as I can so it´s not something that I would like to do either. I do need to eventually bite the bullet on that (if nothing else, I would need new feud options at some point) but right now, I´m still on wait and see mode for the roster expansion front.</p><p> </p><p> Roster popularity:</p><p> main event: Smooth: 18, Jolson: 18, Joe: 19</p><p> upper midcard: Cobra: 17, Queen: 18, , Seth: 18</p><p> midcard: Mortimer: 16, Reeves: 17, Ramone: 17</p><p> lower midcard: Kid: 16</p><p> </p><p> Still going decently nice on popularity front, so nice in fact that I´m kind of starting to question my earlier complains. I mean sure, it´s kind of a brick wall compered to getting up to 17 popularity but it also seems that youd don´t really drop more than a point from were you stand so losses have been small as well. Then again, it remains to be seen how hard the drop is when say, Joe loses his next match which is going to happen at some point. As for gains and losses Smooth not getting a point when beating Queen was a disappointment but Queen not losing any somewhat made up for that. Seth/Jolson got one by beating Mortimer/Kid who fell a point as a result while everyone else stayed were they had been.</p><p> </p><p> Or that´s how things were afte my show, however, Ramone´s popularity actually rised to 21 after FCW show (he was in a losing effort against lower midcarder Kip Keenan), thus pushing him as the most popular guy in my roster. So it seems that Austin and Ramone being signed by FCW will certainly affect my booking on the future as their higher popularity gains in FCW mean that I can have them bleed popularity to my other guys and just trust that they are going to regain their popularity with FCW. Smooth didn´t have a match with FCW this month so he stays were he was popularity wise.</p></div><p></p><p></p>

I´m using terms "main eventer" and "midcarder" loosely here with everyone sticking around the same popularity level. Anyway, We did manage to get D- rating despite both main and semi-main event not making it past E+ rating, so dodged a bulled there. I coplimented Seth and Austin for having the best match of the night (and in fact, best match of ESE´s hirstory so far) and Jolson for his good angle (monster unleashed so it was expected but no-one else didn´t overperform either) at the start of the show. Alright, it´s time to see how the popularity points did swing after this one:</p><p> </p><p> main event: Smooth: 18, Queen: 18, Joe: 19</p><p> upper midcard: Jolson: 17, Mortimer: 17, Seth: 17</p><p> midcard: Cobra: 17, Reeves: 17, Ramone: 17</p><p> lower midcard: Kid: 17</p><p> </p><p> Not that bad actually, Seth and Jolson dropped a point but that was expected, Ramone and Queen stayed were they were and everyone else got a point. I do find it a bit funny that Ramone didn´t rise on popularity despite winning the tag match and was in fact passed by Mortimer (simply because of better fitting wrestling style, but still) who ate the pin there, which kind of underlines how much easier it is to get into that 17 popularity compered to actually trying to get past it. On finances, there was another 5 192$ loss meaning that I now lost full 50 000$ since the start of the game. On the plus side, finances are going on the right way as we had lost less money than month before four months in a row now. </p><p> </p><p> Also, between this and next show, FCW came calling (after moving up to regional) and signed both Austin Smooth and Ricochet Ramone to p.p.a deals, making them the first guys in ESE that were signed by some other company. FCW have had their roster raided twice during the year with USPW signing Kirk Jameson and Hell´s Bouncer in January and TCW getting Rudy Velasques and Davis Wayne Newton during Septemper. Jesus Chavez also walked away from the at July so I can see why they wanted new talent espesially after crowing on size and with them being in Puerto Rico, it was only a matter of time before they sign some of my guys and that could either be good or bad news depending how they are used in FCW (here´s hoping that at least Smooth would get a bit of a popularity boost working with them). </p></div><p></p><p></p>

So feuds were forwarded via angles here and pretty much everyone faces jobbers expect Joe and Cobra who faces each other´s as I wanted strong main event and title defence againt strong opponent for Joe and Mortimer or Reeves (the two heel jobber that I could happily throw under the bus) weren´t going to give me either. That said, while there weren´t many big matches here, ratings were still good, espesially main event and the first two angles so I´m happy about the results. I complimented Joe and Cobra for the main event (and Joe also had a good angle with Jolson) and Queen for dragging Mortimer into E+ match while also putting up good angle afterwards. After the show, Mortimer complained about his recent booking, which is understantably with him pushing into upper midcard before the show, but lets face the facts, it ain´t going to get better for him. </p><p> </p><p> Popularity Check after the show:</p><p> Main event: Jolson: 18, Joe: 18, Seth: 18</p><p> Upper midcard: Smooth: 17, Cobra: 16, Queen: 18</p><p> midcard: Mortimer: 16, Reeves: 16, Ramone: 17</p><p> lower Midcard: Kid: 16</p><p> So Joe and Queen gained one point from beating guys with equal popularity while Mortimer and Cobra (being on the losing side against Joe and Queen) both lost a point. Jolson is suddenly interrupted by Cobra (O´Hara tells the fans here that Cobra is Jolson´s tag partner tonight and wonders what he´s doing here?). Jolson wonders the same but Cobra takes a microphone and says that he has a plan how they can stack the deck to their favor tonight. Jolson says he doesn´t need "help" to beat Joe but Cobra reminds him that he has failed to beat Joe twice, just like Cobra himself failed to beat Queen and that it would be stupid to bang their heads on the same wall when work around is available. He then asks Jolson to follow him to back so that he can explain his plan. Jolson seems sceptical but follows Cobra into backstage. Seth comes from backstage, scowling as usual and reminds Smooth that he did beat Smooth last month and that they are 1-1 now in terms of matches. Smooth seems angered by this, declaring that Seth beat Mad Dog Mortimer, not him so that doesn´t count. The semi-main and main event on the other hand delivered (3rd and 4th best match during company´s history, with Seth vs. Smooth edging the tag match), as did all three of the angles so happy about the show overall. On booking side, this month´s main agenda was to give win to the three guys feuding against my top three (Jolson, Cobra and Seth) as so far I had mostly concentrated to keep Queen, Joe and Smooth strong with the being my main trio. All six on these guys sit on 17 popularity (as did Ramone, and yes, i did which to numbers in order to check) before the show, expect Joe who had 18 so they are about equals in terms of popularity. This has always been a problem for me with TEW2016, getting into 17 popularity is easy but trying to gain anyone popularity beond that has proven to be quite much harder, hopefully I do eventually figure a way to get past the barrier. Smooth was unhappy about him loss but I felt that I had to go with it anyway plus Smooth should still be pretty happy overall with me praising him after almost every show (he´d deserved every single praise but still). I complimented Cobra (I wasn´t expecting him to have the best performance rating from the main event), Joe (took a loss without complains) and Smooth (despite his complain, he turned up another D- performance and thus deserved a bit of recognition for that). They all were very happy about it, which is a clear indicator that I have praised them probably more than I should (and perhaps ignored few other guys in the progress) but my Modus operation is to praise those who do well as I feel that they deserve it most. I checked the popularity levels after the show again to see if any progress was being made and this what I found: </p><p> </p><p> Main event: Jolson 18, Joe 17, Seth 18. </p><p> Uppermidcard: Cobra: 17, Mad Dog Mortimer: 17!, Queen: 17. </p><p> Midcard: Smooth 15, Reeves 14, Ramone 17, </p><p> lower midcard: Kid 14</p><p> </p><p> Good job Zergon (yes, I´m sarcastic here <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />)! My so called top three aren´t top on popularity which is kind of a sure sign that I screwed up somewhere. Sigh, well I knew this wouldn´t be easy and at least Jolson and Seth both got a point of popularity but I really need to learn how to manage popularity in this game. Smooth dropping to 15 ain´t really an issue as he´s almost certainly back to 17 after next show. Mortimer auto pushing as upper midcard guy is the main reason why I hate this log jam on 17 popularity, it just messes up my plans when a guy that supposed to challenge for the belt sits on midcard or even lower midcard simply because everyone has the same popularity and he happens to have a style that doesn´t fit for the company (yes, I know I could move them around manually but I prefer not to do so). This time I made sure to pick guys who have favorable styles, while most of the jobbers are high flyers who don´t so roster spots should stay about how I want them to be (well expect Mortimer somehow making it into uppermidcard by sucking in-ring and loosing every single match he had). I will keep closer eye to popularity going forward just to see how it goes and if I can figure out how to make any progress and since popularity levels will affect my booking I will show them at the end of every show for now on. Also if anyone want to help me here, feel free to share your wisdom with me of how you manage to work with popularity gains after hitting the E- threshold. Now, that probably won´t help me this time since I´m booking way ahead on were I post so you will hear me whining a lot about this (or just skip it, it´s kind of your choice <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />) but could well make any future save easier and more enjoyable to me. So far the only way I have figured that would work is to hire someone more popular to bleed overness to others but that´s not a way I like to work in general (although I´m not above doing so if I feel it´s necessary to keep things going forward). </p><p> </p><p> Me complaining about popularity being harder to gain after certain point (not necassarely a bad thing mind you, just something I haven´t learned to handle yet) than before aside, things are going alright, I have gained 0,5% popularity with each show and thus making steady progress towards small. On finances side, I lost another 5 906$ so losses keep coming but that was expected and I do have the money after giving myself more than enough (at least I really hope so, would be kind of embarrasing to get bankrupt after cheating and giving myself million dollars extra <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />).</p></div><p></p><p></p>
  23. June 2016 Friday, week 3 ESE Eternal Storm San Juan High School (Puerto Rico) Attendance: 21 ANGLE: Show starts with Justice Jolson in the ring, stating that tonight, he will power through Regular Joe in order to become King of the Network champion and start he´s long reign as the champion. After all, he´s the biggest and most powerful man in the roster so how could anyone hope to defeat him? D- 1 vs. 1 vs. Kid Fantastic vs. Cobra In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Cobra defeated Kid Fantastic in 6:13 by submission with a Viper Vice Notes: - Performance: Kid: E-, Cobra: E+ WINNER: Cobra by submission in 6:13 E ANGLE: After his match, Cobra has few words to Queen, telling him that he was right about Cobra not being done with him as while setbacks do happen, this snake is far from dead and plans to prove that very soon. D- 1 vs. 1 vs. Quentin Queen vs. Rex Reeves In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Quentin Queen defeated Rex Reeves in 6:41 by pinfall with a Q-Ball. Notes: Queen was off his game Performance: Queen: E+, Reeves: E- WINNER: Quentin Queen by pinfall in 6:41 E 2 vs. 2 & vs. & Seth Whitehead & Ricochet Ramone vs. Austin Smooth & Mad Dog Mortimer In a decent match, Ricochet Ramone and Seth Whitehead defeated Austin Smooth and Mad Dog Mortimer in 8:29 when Seth Whitehead defeated Mad Dog Mortimer by submission with a Minnesota Stretch. Notes: - Performance: Seth: E+, Ramone: E+, Smooth: E+, Mortimer: E- WINNER: Seth Whitehead & Ricochet Ramone by submission in 8:29 E+ 1 vs. 1 for King of the Network belt vs. Regular Joe vs. Justice Jolson In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Regular Joe defeated Justice Jolson in 6:02 by pinfall with a Joe And Behold. Regular Joe makes defence number 3 of his ESE King of the Network title. Notes: - Performance: Joe: E+, Jolson: E WINNER: Regular Joe by pinfall in 6:02 E+ ANGLE: Joe doesn´ get to celebrate his victory for long as once Jolson has recovered enough and realized that he lost, he attacks Joe from behind and beats him down to mat befoe leaving, still visibly angry about the loss. D Show Rating: D- Comments: Decent show again, this time none of the matches managed to break E+ barrier, but angles were good enough to put us on D- range anyway. Before this show, I was thinking about whatever I should continue the current feuds or end Joe vs. Jolson here and have the other two end theirs next month as Joe had now beaten Jolson clean twice so there weren´t much left to prove on his part, while I wasn´t sure if I want to put Cobra and or Seth over Queen/Smooth either (since I´m still building them as my main guys) which would need to happen for those feuds to have legs to continue. In the end, I decided to continue current feuds bit longer and hence the assault angle at the end of the show, I know I could have just put Joe over via DQ to keep Jolson strong but with last title defense being draw, I think I want to give Joe clean win here and just make Jolson looks strong via post match attack and likely tag win next month to keep this feud rolling. Not much suprirses on the booking front this month, Seth got a tag win over Smooth to keep feud going while Cobra and Queen beat jobbers in order to stay strong. I praised Jolson (two good angles and decent match), Cobra (good angle and decent match) and Ramone (E+ match rating from a guy that is essentially counted as jobber). On finances, we again lost 6,321$

Smooth informs that tonight, a wrong will be righted as he have been given a King of the Network title shot against current champion Joe the Average. Oh, and there was some third nobody in there as well but he matters even less than Joe (guess he already forgot who beat him in the tournament then?) because how could anyone withstand Smooth and his perfect combination of skills, looks and power? Smooth also remembers Seth Whitehead with few words, telling him that he´s a forgiving man and despite Seth costing him his first opportunity for gold, his willing to let is slide after proving his superiority two months ago and if Seth is a wise man, he will take this out and be done with Smooth. Regardless, it´s second D- show on the row so can´t be too unhappy about it. I booked the main event in order to have a good rated match on a show were none of the three feuding pairs collided. I was first thinking about putting one of the feuding pairs in the title match instead (classic set-up that always works well) but in the end, I felt that Smooth and Queen were the more logical choises with both being on winning sides on every match expect one and even that one included interference in both cases, thus they simply had most reason to be in the title match and making it three way meant that I didn´t lose 1 vs. 1 match with Joe in case I want to feud one or the other with Joe after the current feuds end (more likely to be Smooth thanks to Queen and Joe both being faces). After that decision, rest of the booking was pretty simple, Joslin and Seth got wins in order to keep them strong while Ramone is rated bit higher that other jobbers (Kid, Mortimer and Reeves) and thus had a win in the show were half of the top guys fought against each other´s. Queen was unhappy about the finish on the main event, wanting to look stronger, but that´s not happening as he wasn´t on the losing side and I felt that there´s no reason to protect him any better than the other two. Queen´s complain that I found unreasonable also ment that I didn´t praise him after the show (which I otherwise had done as he had the best angle rating). Petty perhaps but I´m not going to complement someone for being pain to deal with, espesially when I found their request being unreasonable. So instead, I praised Joe, Seth and Smooth for being the three guys who got E+ (or better) performance rating and didn´t complain. As for finances, it was another 6,182$ lost. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="foolinc" data-cite="foolinc" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45829" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Nice show! <p> </p><p> On a side note, I've never have used the post event speeches. Joe also declares that he wants to be a fighting champion and declares that everytime he´s in singles match with someone, be that anyone from the roster, he´s belt will be on line and that will be the case here tonight as while he´s match with Mortimer is scheduled to be a non-title match, he puts his belt on the line at any rate, because he want to give other wrestlers like himself a chance to fulfill their dream of being a champion as well. Queen vs. Cobra was also out best match to the date, passing Queen vs. Smooth on top 100 matches list too so impressive work there, espesially from Cobra who isn´t counted as one of the top three guys. I complimented Cobra (outperformed Queen in main event), Seth (Ok match and D- promo) and Joe (match was only ok but he was against Mortimer so not much was expected, his two angles both scored D- though and that´s nice considering Joe is likely better in matches than angles). On booking perspective, I guess putting the title match as semi-main event deserves some notes. Now I´m sure no-one weren´t surprised that I didn´t trust Mortimer to deliver good grades (even on ESE´s standards) so that one is kind of easy to explain, however it was for the main title and thus important match so I did wonder it a bit and of course I could always put someone else than Mortimer in the title match if I was scared of bad ratings. At the end, I did come up with a plan of Joe wanting to be a fighting champion and putting his belt on the line even when not required (thus giving an excuse that the match shouldn´t had been a title match and thus didn´t need to be main event). This serves two purposes, first of, there´s only so many creditable challengers for the belt at any given time and those challengers are usually ones I want to have storyline build around so that would mean that there would only be one challenger at the time and that the belt would be defended only few times during the year that being basically when ever the champ and challenger face one vs. one and since I typically like to have at least 2 - 3 shows between singles matches (might be more around 1 - 2 with roster so small) that would mean that belt would be defended around 3 - 5 times per year. On the same time, I do want the belt to be defended decently often so deciding that my champion puts the belt on line even when not required allows me to give him well... basically "fill-in" defences between the storyline ones to keep the belt more active while not having the need to rush storylines because of it. On minus side, this means that my champ cannot lose 1 vs. 1 matches at all, hence the need to sign two extra guys so I can always put my champ into tag match to eat a loss since how else I could make challenger to look good if he never wins a match against the champ? On finances side, we took another 5 841$ loss this month.</p></div><p></p><p></p>
