Brazil has quite some indies gaining some traction, and as shawn michaels said has now officialy produced WWE talent. Peru, Argentina and Chile are also growing and bringing in some bigger talent. Companies are working together.<p> </p><p> Back in 2011 there was a continent-wide tournament won by KENTA, and had guys like Eddie Edwards and Naomichi Marufuji come in. Of course that was some time ago but still.</p><p> </p><p> There are also guys like Diego and Zumbi making a name for themselves internationally.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> yeah, adding South America to the mix would have been great, especially Brazil. Things are evolving quickly there.</p>

India looks like it is has the potential to be a really big market down the line due to its size, political scene, and culture, so I think it's going to be far more important in the coming wrestling world than the two you mentioned. <p> </p><p> All three were debated, as was a Rest Of The World area (which was dropped because it was not feasible without having a negative impact on other features, not because it wasn't a fine idea), but ultimately there are space and processing time considerations to take into account and if only one area is going to be added, India is the clear choice for me.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> It's a shame we can't get rest of the world, but due to the reasons I pointed out before, with India being a market with big potential that everyone is trying to get into now, as you also stated, I would agree that it is better to have India if it comes down to choosing. However, as a Portuguese who is also aware of what goes on in Portuguese speaking countries, Brazil is growing in terms of wrestling and even NXT and WWE itself has paid some attention to it, even wrestlers were tried and signed. </p><p> </p><p> But given the explanation you give, yes, I understand the decision and actually agree with it if it was down to a choice of regions. Cheers. Thanks for the clarification.</p>

Any idea on if they were booted out of POP or left on their own?</p>

I do this often in the 2K1 WCW Lives mod to gain popularity in Canada, because the starting popularity levels aren't enough to get Nitro on there. They aren't broadcast anywhere so even if its pulling a C grade or something, its enough to grow the popularity of the company there as well as the workers involved, and you can a 1 hour show with just a couple of matches.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Yeah this is great as well, but remember to watch out for your finances if you are a small company. As a smaller company every show you make will impact your finances, so you need to keep a track on that.</p>

But remember you won't get losses or gains to your company from the B shows. But to increase the worker's popularity in a region, yeah that should help. I know someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you can indeed use them that way. Which is realistic.</p>

That is one of the good ways to use them, to get exposure for your lower card. It's been a while since I played (might get back to it now that the TEW fever is back) so I can't really remember if there is a cap, or what kind of gains, but yes, you can use those shows to get your undercard over, if i remember correctly. Run an angle between, let's say The Rock and Heath Slater, and see the differences in popularity in the editor after the show that Slater will probably get.</p>

May I ask why India was chosen over, say, South America or China?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> India is actually a big market where everyone is getting into now, not just WWE. And it has potential just for the broadcasts alone, and their respective revenue. WWE signed profitable deals there iirc, and other business ventures have done so. I think the inclusion of India is fine, but I'm of the opinion that the entire world should be added. </p><p> </p><p> I know WMMA and TEW are completely different games and maybe it is hard to adapt one feature to the other, even if rewriting, i don't know, I'm not the one making the game, so Adam's response is not unacceptable or anything of those sorts, I just think that there is indeed much more wrestling around the world than MMA, as Wayne28 pointed out, and well, so I think that given we're getting a "new game", so to speak, it would be awesome to finally be able to include the entire world, which is what we've been wanting for a long time.</p>
  8. If you piss off enough mod makers, they never will be. I've tried making a mod before, its tedious and time consuming. I'd be damned if I spent personal time on something, gave it to a community for free, then had some dude rip it in order to make a one year later mod without asking permission and/or giving credit.

I can't speak for mod makers, but to me it doesn't seem like an "ownership" or "IP" issue. Its a common respect issue.

I agree with the respect issue and crediting and all of that. And I know the community would and should condemn such actions, so people wouldn't get away with it. I've done a mod and had no problems on open sourcing it, as the idea is to benefit the community. So i have much respect for guys that keep putting out mods every year the games come out. Much love for them, as I play mainly RW mods and the game would not be the same for me without them. But let's not enter in that discussion of mods, as it was already addressed anyway and might be revisited in the future if GDS and/or Adam decide to do so. I do think that this conversion feature will help the mod scene though, such potential. Wondering what is tomorrow's entry.

  9. They literally said "We're taking over control of Raw and Smackdown Live" and then said they'd be listening to the fans. They've said this before and we are still handed garbage.

Little salty they dropped Paige as GM though. She was the best used one they've had since Heyman, Kurt's original GM run, and Eric Bischoff.

I wonder what will happen to her now? I have severe doubts when they talk about new faces and new matches. How many times did we hear this tune before?

  10. "Ownership" of mods, now potentially "ownership" of saves...Where does it stop? People need to realize that mods and saves are not IP. If they don't want it being used, don't post it on the internet. I think that the conversion feature shouldn't even require permission to use other people's saves. This is only a problem in these boards. But I won't start another discussion. I'm happy with this feature, but as I pointed in the suggestions boards, some things should be able to be edited during game. Like starting injuries and absences, etc. These should not require a conversion just to correct possible small mistakes we failed to notice. Seems like it is shaping out to be a great game.
  11. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Matt_Black" data-cite="Matt_Black" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46105" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Yeah, this was my thought. The game is like 90% text. What's VR going to do? "It actually FEELS like I'm reading!!!"</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Agreed. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Speaking of text, would love to see the old match summaries from EWR return in some better way, as well as that interactive internet section the game also had. With this new technology, all the improvements and so on, the end results would be dope. Would also like to see the return of the tweener role (let's be real, not matter how much people wanna deny it, the role exists) and the tweaking of alliances to a point where they are actually fun and realistic to play. So many things... Just the development changes i'd like to see. Damn, we'd be here all day.</p>
  12. Great news. So glad to hear the news and that it might come out sooner. Look forward to play it, look forward for the changes and I am very excited for the leap in quality that we have all been expecting. Cheers, Adam. I hope this doesn't mean it's the last one, because with all this work into it there is potential for even more greatness. Looking forward for the release. Take my money. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />:D:D
  13. Just a quick update: We are still going strong and have surpassed the 300 members mark. Thank you to everyone that brings GDS to life in real time in this community. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
  14. <p>Still devastated about the Roman news. It took cancer for some people to finally appreciate him and that is sad. Hope he recovers fully and quickly. The dignity and personality he showed though...The man has been hiding for the last decade that, for example, leukemia ended his football career, as we know came to know. Yet when asked about football he just stated that it didn't work out. He could have easily taken the easy way out, tell the truth (which wouldn't be shameful) and explain that football didn't work cause of the cancer. Yet he chose not to do it and even working with a company known for exploiting all sorts of things like these, he never allowed it to be used as a way to get cheered. The way he acted and how he kept this private even when it justified some of the bad things that had happened in his life, like football...a man like that can only be a great guy. I really hope to see him back in the ring, but most importantly, as long as he survives and has a good life, that's what matters.~</p><p> </p><p>

I had no problem with the Dean turn and that was just Alvarez moaning for the sake of it. It had to be done. The show must go on and they had just lost their top start. They had to get some momentum for the next shows and the show (even if it would always be overshadowed by Roman's announcement) could not end with a mention to Roman's illness or something cheap like that. Had to end with impact and this way Dean will probably get booed for a while instead of getting the Becky Lynch effect, which was a risk. As long as they don't use Roman's situation in promos, nothing was done in bad taste, I'm sure they had Roman's blessing, (surely he must want the show to go on and for WWE to succeed) and it was a good move to do.</p>

Sure some of the wrestling was good, but from a story perspective, literally every face or hometown hero won their match, which basically just made it feel like a glorified house show. Which is a lot like how Beast in the East and Greatest Royal Rumble felt. I'm really starting to get annoyed with how WWE books these big foreign events to be some big deal and then throws mediocre product on 'em.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> It wasn't bad. I liked it overall. A couple of meh matches, just like someone pointed above, but overall it was good. Taker can no longer sell a Pedigree (or much else, for that matter) to save his life. And while i get that the gimmick of no DQ was to protect the weaknesses and make it longer and ME worthy when it comes to duration, the weaknesses are still there. Sure, it would be much visible without the gimmick, but Shawn Michaels selling and actually calling the shots could be more interesting when the tag match happens. Plus, Kane can still sell more than Taker and generally move better.</p><p> </p><p> Can't believe i'm saying this, but I'm glad a match involving suplex city is the main event for Saudi Arabia. To have to witness 3 guys in their 50s and one dangerously close to it in the ME spot would be ludicrous, as much as I like Shawn Michaels. Plus, while I will probably mark for him and DX, I still think he should have stayed retired. This has HHH written all over it.</p>
  16. I have no sympathy for Charlotte in this storyline. She weaseled her way into a title match she did not deserve to be in and stole Becky's opportunity. People were not happy for Becky turning heel, they were happy because she was kicking Charlotte's arse. Cause they felt bad for Becky and thought Charlotte deserved the beating. Plus, Becky is a universally beloved babyface. I suspect there is nothing they can do that will make people truly hate her. She is just loveable without an actual reason. :D

And Charlotte is simply someone who would never get any accolades if she wasn't Ric's daughter. It doesn't matter how good she can be, and I actually like Charlotte, all i see is she being forced down people's throats as the best female wrestler of all time, which she will clearly never be, no matter how many titles and accolades they give her. And this was the person and story they chose to turn Becky heel? Sounds legit.
