They knew the reaction the Kurt's Son storyline would get. But now with Ambrose on the shelf for 9 months the heel turn is on hold while he and Seth Tag Champs.

Becky should be back soon. Paige was injured at a house show (supposedly by a kick from behind from Sasha due to miscommunication). She might not wrestle for a few weeks as a precaution.

I doubt it was planned. That's probably Vince trying to save face with yet another missed shot. From what I read it seems the Paige situation was just a scare. What happened with Kendrick and the GTS?

  2.
A little preview from a possible dynasty I might do if the game becomes fun enough and if I have time to write. Let me know what you guys think of the premise.

    Chapter 1: Winds of Change

It was May when my phone rang and I looked at it to see that, to no surprise of mine, Vince himself was calling me. I remember it was May because that's when good old Dave Meltzer decided to convert his WON into TEW and for the first internet channel devoted to wrestling and wrestling news. It had a respective website, TEW.com, that reported the shows and graded them from 0 to 100. It was actually a good change for the business. It brought more exposure.

I picked up the Phone and Vince cordially greeted me, as if we were old friends, or something. And then he went straight to business.

    Vince: Is it true?

Me: I'm sorry, who is this again?

Vince: Oh come on, cut the crap. You know very well that it's me.

Me: I'm sorry, I'm breaking up, I'm passing by a tunnel or something...Can't hear you. - I responded, while I sat on my couch and laughed.

Vince of course called again and this time I told him it was true. I would have full ownership of all the trademarks, library, titles, logos, etc, of the NWA. I would own NWA. My ownership would start October the 1st.

Vince: I thought you were done with wrestling- Vince said, in a way that showed he was probably angry.

Me: No. I said I was done with your company. There's a big difference. Turns out I still like wrestling.

Vince: NWA is just an old name that old timers remember. You won't go anywhere. But if you want, I can buy it from you and relieve you from the burden of wasting your money.

Me: Is someone worried I might actually succeed? Chill, it's just the NWA, right?

Vince: I'm not worried at all. Do you think I called Bischoff when he started his idiotic attempt to revive the Monday Night Wars at TNA? I didn't. I'm just calling you as a friend and...

Me: Cut the crap, Vince. Friends do not do what you did to me. Yes it's all true, come October 1st I will be owning NWA and I'm going to give you a run for your money. Buckle up, old man. It might take a while, but we will get there.

Vince: I tried to warn you... Oh well, it's your funeral. As soon a you hit your first show, I'm declaring war on you!

Me: So I guess that rules out a working agreement? - I asked as I laughed, hearing his breathing going quicker as he got angrier and he eventually hang up before shouting one more time - As Soon as your first show airs...it's war!

With the deal finally made, all I had to do was call my current employer and get out of my contract. I had to be ready by October. A new era in my life is coming. If you're reading this, then you already know how it went down. But me? I'm just writing it as I go along. No pictures, no fanfare, just words. Because life goes by and all the images fade away... All that remains is words. And I'm writing this auto-biography to tell the story. The story of how I decided to resurrect the NWA. My name is Phillip Jack Brooks...and this...is My Empire.

My gut is telling me Pop > Perf would generally give better ratings. This is for a WCW 1991 mod btw. I have it set up where Pop = Perf, but I think I should switch it back.

It seems in reading through the latest posts, there is someone else that isn't happy with the ratings his shows are getting, but I do agree, most important is to just have fun with it.

That's gonna depend of the workers you have and the quality of the shows you put on. If your workers are good at entertainment, you should go for pop over perf. If not you can set it as Pop=Perf or Perf over Pop. From my personal experience, Pop over Perf is way more friendly and easier to get into the rhythm, provided you have some good talkers.

  4. Took over the NWA, made it a promotion, created some alliance titles, including the NWA Universal championship. Got 4 or 5 promotions in my alliance, NWA (ofc) and right before my first show...Tajiri wins the Universal belt. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

You can remove the ones in editor from the alliance you want to use and buy them in game.

Many thanks. Got the ones I wanted and went with a pre-existing NWA, which ended making more sense. Thanks for the help.

Trying to negotiate a bunch of deals, including PPV ones, but prime time seems to be out of the equation.

  7.
Are all the NWA belts on the database associated with the NWA alliance? If I wanna play as NWA as a promotion and use them all I have to do is take them out of the alliance and buy them in game, right? (As I want to reopen NWA instead of creating it pre game.)

Edit: Realized some of them are active in other companies, but the question still applies to the remaining.

How are your attendances compared to your other game?

  10. It's not bad for business if the candidate excels in the other figurehead qualifications. Ric Flair was WCW's figure head and did just fine and in TEW does just fine as well.

Yes, there are exceptions, like if he fits all the other criteria, fine. He just gets that negative penalty, but if the other positives are true, and excelled, he should be fine. Should have been more clear. Thanks for the heads up. :D

I know I can choose them, but I didn’t know whether it’s actually beneficial.

I was considering Wolf Hawkins for my figurehead, but I don’t really want him to turn face.

You can place a heel figurehead, but it won't be good for business. You get a negative penalty added for him being a heel.

  12. Ik it's a matter of opinion, like all mods, and I'm not criticizing your work, lord knows i love it, but John Cena as Showstopper and Ring General, in the same category as guys like AJ Styles? I so vehemently disagree. Cena is the guy that can be carried to great matches if he has the right dancing partner. He's got some skills, but not the psychology to be a ring general. But like I said, a matter of opinion. Keep up the good work.
  13. I've had workers refuse to do Average Injury/Content Risk matches because they were afraid they might be injured, but their Physical tab showed them all green and not carrying any injuries. Some had never even received an injury. I've also had liberal and extremely liberal workers refuse such matches. I'm trying to find their common ground and I'm thinking it's the fact they're also hesitant instead of bold. Any ideas?

While I'm at it, is there any special thread here or a guide as to personality sliders and how they affect a worker's behavior?

    I don't think so, but it's a great idea.

  14. Just started a new RW game and Asuka and Kane are 'unavailable'. I cannot auto push because they are not available but they are not showing on the medical page? why are they unavailable?

You should go back to the medical section and, to your right, next to the injuries column, you will see the ones absent for non injury reasons. In the case of Kane and Asuka it's for personal reasons.

Won't make a difference, I can still see the people chanting yes yes yes for as long as he is there. Except maybe for the marks. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> The guy is universally adored by wrestling fans.

Is this a known bug? Everything in the show was booked properly and I gave Keep Strong to both of them.

It was Monsoon vs. Waldo von Erich.

Keep Strong in itself will remove a bit of the match quality in exchange for the protection it provides. Double booking it will probably make it happen even more. Just by that, the low grade can be explained. Did you check the dirt sheet to check the situations affecting the match? There are a lot of factors that can rise and lower the grade of a match. Double booking a protection note is definitely one of them, so that by itself explains it, I believe.

I feel like I always get C rated matches with them

Book to their strengths. With Sid that would be menace and Warrior, probably entertainment angles, depending on the skills he has. If you have a product that focus much more on pop than performance, you shouldn't have issues with the grades, as long as they are over.
