  1. Just one more Title Bout Wrestling before 'In the Company of Legends'...

CGC Bubbleweight Title Match: Black Sheep vs Condor vs Mario Heroic vs Nelson Blais vs Tempest Appleby
Depending on how long Helen Wheels is out for I could see Black Sheep winning, then Helen returning with a sordid tale of how he ended up with the title... but balance wise a Heel champ makes sense, so I'll go for Blais
    Chance vs Alex DeColt
    This is still DeColt country!
    Wolfgang Zimmerman vs Howling Dog
Assuming this is in match order as usual, I'm surprised Alex's match isn't the Main Event. Unless you have an unannounced Main Event on the night.

I'm bad at Tag Team names. For my private games I usually just use the built in name generator in TEW. Any good suggestions for Chandler & Maverick? Or Land Mass & Mammoth? Do people really want Moore Moose?

I think I speak for everyone when I say we want MOORE MOOSE!

  2. Predictions for SWF SUPREME TV EPISODE 23

    Scythe vs ZWB

Should be a good match. Could see some interference to cost ZWB

    American Machine vs Brandon James

American Machine is a jobber at this point

    Atom Smasher vs Jungle Lord

Interesting match up. Could go either way.

    NETSTREAM Intercontinental Title Shot Match

Bear Bekowski vs Charger Siaki vs One Man Army vs Roderick Remus

Part of the build to Remus vs Remo 😂

    Robbie Retro vs Rocky Golden

Golden's building up to a Supreme Challenge Main Event... he's not losing to Disco Stu

    Main Event:

Valiant & Giedroyc (Valiant & Jack Giedroyc) vs James Prudence & ???

Valiant & Giedroyc are both top guys, whereas Prudence is a level below

(BONUS 1) Will SWF top the weekly TV ratings this week?

    Yes

(BONUS 2) Who will be James Prudence' tag team partner?

I know he's probably too old, but... Donnie J

Naozane Goto vs Iggy Riot w/ Chuck Frisby

I am guessing that Iggy is going to slam the sumo.

Evan Alpass w/ Marbella vs Riddick Jordan w/ The Network

I like The Northern Lights, but generally I believe that a guy with a singles push is going to beat a guy used mostly in a tag team except for certain circumstances and this is not one of those circumstances.

You were bang on with your Iggy Riot guess! How will Stuart Wilson react now that Chuck can definitively gloat that his man achieved something that the Olympian failed to do?

You're point around the Main Event is valid. Over the past couple of months I have been trying to show the power The Network have over the show, and how standing up to them alone won't as they'll always beat you with the numbers game...

Thank you to everyone who commented, predicted and reacted to the latest episode! I really do appreciate it. A slightly less predictable round of predictions, with only three perfect scores this round! Congratulations to @smw88, @scapegoat and @StanMiguel! The overall standings heading into the go-home show are incredibly tight, with a 5-way tie for the lead, and @KyTeran and @Wrestling Machine both still within striking distance! Hope to see everyone back for the next episode. :)

(Optional) Question: I tried summarising the promos rather than writing them out in the last episode. This was mostly to save time as I needed to get the episode posted. What did you think of the new style? Did you prefer it? Or should I keep to writing the promos out longer form?

In my opinion the longer style is better. However, I understand that in any long diary that I've read there are times where everything clicks and you are inspired (because you have enough time to write properly or any other reason) and there are times where you just continue the stories. So if you don't have the time right now I don't mind the shorter style because it'd still be one of the best diaries around.

While I think that the longer promos are better, I did enjoy your short form promos as well.  I say that if you need to use the shorter form for some episodes, I say go for it the writing is still great and the storylines are still compelling in my opinion.

No preference, do whatever feels best, feel free to flip back and forth, whatever works for ya.

I think the general consensus (with the exception of @Wrestling Machine :P) was that the longer form promos are better, but people are happy with some shorter stuff if time requires it. Thanks for the feedback, it's good to know that - 1. It's worth spending the extra time of the word for word promos, and 2. That if work stays crazy I can slip in some shorter form stuff for TV to keep the diary ticking along. I'm a big believer in posting regularly, as I find long breaks tend to break my motivation to write.

I didn't like the last episode as much as normal episodes. Whether that's because of what you said above, or something else I dont know though. It just didn't feel the same as other shows you post. Sorry if that comes off as rude, I don't mean it like that. I just don't know how else to say it.

I think this is fair. I've not been too happy with the past couple of episodes (both booking wise and how they've come out in written form). I was really excited for my original plans for this month - but a pre-show injury in the National Wresting episode after No Limits meant I had to completely rebook on the fly. This was the best I could come up with a few weeks ago when I booked it in game, but when it was time to write it out I just wasn't feeling it. I won't give away who the injury was too, as they are only out for a month - so my original plans will still happen, just a month late!

Very interesting situation with Leighton Buzzard and Welsh Dragon (I didn't expect to see much more of him in NWF). By the way, everyone knows that the strategy SWF should've taken is to reach a deal with NETSTREAM :classic_laugh:

You almost certainly wouldn't have seen any more of Welsh Dragon if I hadn't needed to rebook Locked & Loaded on the fly - but he technically never cashed in his rematch clause after losing the Cruiserweight title to JK Lee, making him a perfect out of the blue challenger.

The SWF in my game is not the powerhouse of a promotion that it is in your diary! :) Prior to the Network announcement, they had looked more likely to be overtaken by TCW than pose any serious threat to USPW.

It does feel like NetStream is in the game to give SWF players an analogue to USPW and Reverie - but given USPW's dominance and how OP the Network system seems to be in game, I'm excited to see if the SWF network can swing the war back in the SWF's favour!

    SWF launch SWF Network

Last night saw the long awaited launch of the SWF Network in America. The network is the SWF’s attempt to challenge USPW’s deal with the Reverie network. Wrestling promotions worldwide are said to be looking on with interest – will the innovative new approach be the turning point in the companies war with USPW, or will the risk backfire and send the SWF crashing and burning?

NWF Report – Plans subject to change?

Backstage reports coming out of the NWF suggest that major rewrites have been necessary over the past two weeks following recent developments in the company. While employees are remaining tight lipped over the wrestlers identity, rumours suggest a major new signing suffered an injury in a dark match before a TV taping two weeks ago – which led to a rewrite culminating in this weeks announcement of Leighton Buzzard as the challenger for Edison Silva’s British Heavyweight Championship at Locked & Loaded.

Rumours suggest that the original plan had been for Leighton Buzzard to challenge Damian Dastardly for the Cruiserweight Championship, after losing the title a few weeks ago at No Limits. This weeks announcement of Welsh Dragon as the new challenger at Locked & Loaded begs the question whether the company have patched things up with the former Cruiserweight Champion, after reports two weeks ago that the Welshman was on his way out of the NWF.

    Roy Worrall signs with 21CW

It was announced last week that Roy Worrall had signed with 21CW, as the replacement for Scotty Gregory – following the veteran referees release last month. Roy Worrall has been serving as head referee for a number of promotions – the NWF, BPW and SNP. It is expected that Worrall will finish up his dates with his current promotions before starting with 21CW.

Your Announce Team: Jackie Goldstein & Melanie Florence

Jackie Goldstein: “Hello and welcome to National Wrestling. My name is Jackie Goldstein, and joining me at ringside is Melanie Florence.”

Melanie Florence: “Thanks Jackie. We have a huge Main Event tonight, as Evan Alpass looks for a measure of revenge against the man who broke his arm two months ago – as he faces Riddick Jordan!”

Jackie Goldstein: “The Network have been having things entirely their way over the past few weeks, can Evan Alpass be the man to knock them down a peg or two?”

Melanie Florence: “But we start tonight’s show with tag team action, as the technical duo of JK Lee and Lenny Mochin take on The Party Animals!”

The Party Animals (Rave & Trance) VS JK Lee & Lenny Mochin

The Party Animals came into this match looking to have a good time, but had anything but as Lee and Mochin stretched and contorted them into a number of unpleasant positions. The two teams Worked The Crowd, but Lee and Mochin always had their opponents under control. Just over eight minutes into the match, JK Lee was able to lock Trance into his Crossface – and the raver had no choice but to tap.

We cut backstage to the Interview Zone, where we found ‘The Springbok’ Landon Mallory stood with Rachel Dearheart. The crowd gave Mallory a huge ovation when he appeared on screen.

    LandonMallory.jpg.da9fdea2ad6311279260fb75b3a212d2.jpg

Mallory told Rachel that he was furious with the appeals process. He couldn’t believe that once again Mo Adebola had managed to hide behind litigation to prevent ‘The Springbok’ facing his client, and taking back what was rightfully his – the NWF British Heavyweight Championship. The South African signed off with a message for Mo Adebola…

Landon Mallory: “Silva may be running scared this month, but they can only buy so much time before they have to feel the power of the Springbok Ram! And until then, I’ll be doing everything in my power to stop Mo Adebola pulling the strings around here. Yebo!”

Local Talent VS Aurelian Bradley w/ The Professor & School of Wrestling

We went back to the ring, where The Professor revealed the identity of his star student – 2019 National School of Wrestling graduate Aurelian Bradley. ‘The Master of The Old School’ gave an assured performance on his NWF return, as The Professor delivered a lecture to the School of Wrestling at ringside. Bradley’s attack focused on weakening the legs of his opponent, before locking in his Figure Four Leg Lock to secure the submission victory.

The crowd jeered as the music of the new Cruiserwieght Champion played over the speakers, and Damian Dastardly made his way down to the ring. The boos turned up a notch as the music switched to that of the British Heavyweight Champion, and Edison Silva walked out with a Brazilian flag draped over his shoulders and his legal advisor Mo Adebola to his right.

    DamianDastardly.jpg.13ca49d3db473f1a62609cfb650a06ab.jpg EdisonSilva.jpg.f4dcdfc22b382e53d55e187d444539cf.jpg MoAdebola.jpg.5a21c60765373f4cd20f0549d16baafd.jpg

We had seen Damian Dastardly asking Mo Adebola for help last week, and it seemed we were about to find out why…

Damian Dastardly: “Last week I asked Mr Adebola to help me with a little contractual problem I was having… namely Leighton Buzzard’s rematch clause, and Mr Adebola tells me he has found a solution.”

Mo Adebola: “The rematch clauses in NWF title contracts are excellently written… if I do say so myself… so the only way around them is for the subject of that rematch clause to voluntarily give it up. So I spoke to the matchmaking committee, and put a case forward – and they agreed that considering Leighton Buzzard’s record breaking seven title defences in his reign as Cruiserweight Champion, they would upgrade his title shot at ‘Locked & Loaded’ to be against my client Edison Silva for the British Heavyweight Championship!”

Edison Silva held his title high in the air, as Damian Dastardly grinned in the ring.

Mo Adebola: “Which of course leaves an open spot to challenge for your Cruiserweight Championship Damian. But don’t worry; I have the perfect candidate… my ‘Insurance Policy’ JK Lee!”

The grin disappeared from Dastardly’s face as he got in Mo Adebola’s face to argue, before both men were distracted by a roar from the crowd – as the music of ‘The Springbok’ blared over the speakers, and, instead of JK Lee, Landon Mallory walked out through the curtain.

    LandonMallory.jpg.da9fdea2ad6311279260fb75b3a212d2.jpg

Landon Mallory: “You thought you had this all planned out Mo, but you forget that you’re not the only lawyer around here now! You may have got around one rematch clause, but I’d like to see you get around two! I’m afraid your ‘Insurance Policy’ will have to wait…”

    LeightonBuzzard.jpg.225b383b5d66a93b1dff724bc3628f18.jpg WelshDragon.jpg.6694d389ce693bf39e996f82541edf59.jpg

With their attention focused on Landon Mallory, Silva and Dastardly didn’t notice the two number one contenders appear through the crowd behind the champions. Leighton Buzzard and former Cruiserweight Champion Welsh Dragon hopped onto the apron to deliver simultaneous Springboard Dropkicks to their respective champion, causing Silva and Dastardly to roll out of the ring. Buzzard and Welsh Dragon celebrated in the ring, as an irate Silva escaped through the crowd alongside Mo Adebola and Damian Dastardly.

Landon Mallory: “As I told you earlier tonight Mo, the balance of power is shifting around here! Yebo!

    Bret Heartbreak VS Glen Ward

A rare singles opportunity for Glen Ward, but the judoka came up against a focused Bret Heartbreak. Being attacked by his father and ex-girlfriend last week seemed to have lit a fire under Bret Heartbreak, as the youngster put in a strong showing here before delivering his Heart Attack (Top Rope Diving Clothesline) to secure back to back victories for the first time in his NWF career.

Naozane Goto VS Iggy Riot w/ Chuck Frisby

We were told that Naozane Goto had requested this match after Iggy Riot interrupted the former Sumo wrestlers match against Stuart Wilson last week. The Japanese wrestler started the match strongly, catching Riot off guard with his surprising speed and agility. However a missed High Velocity Reverse Avalanche into the corner stunned the 380 pounder, before Iggy Riot stunned the crowd by hoisting the former Sumo Wrestler up onto his shoulders in one fluid movement. Jackie Goldstein screamed on commentary that nobody had been able to lift Goto, as Riot delivered his Riot Control (F5) to secure an impressive victory.

Grabbing a microphone, Chuck Frisby stood over the fallen Naozane Goto as he addressed the crowd.

Chuck Frisby: “What you have just seen is another reminder of the power of the Frisby’s Foundation for Fitness training program. Lots of big, powerful men have tried and failed to lift the sumo… assassins, former World Champions… Olympians.”

Chuck Frisby hung on that last occupation, as the crowd booed the personal trainer.

Chuck Frisby: “It should come as no surprise that my client, through his dedication to the fundamental principles of the Frisby Foundation for Fitness training program, was the only man to have the power to easily lift the sumo off the mat. And tonight should serve as a great reminder that we are here to tackle the Obesity Crisis” Chuck paused to look down at Goto with disdain. “Whether British or Japanese, one superhuman feat of strength at a time!”

Evan Alpass w/ Marbella VS Riddick Jordan w/ The Network

There was bad blood between these two, with Riddick Jordan having broken Evan Alpass’ arm with a botched release Suplex two months ago. Alpass came into this match looking for revenge, and the match quickly devolved into a Wild Brawl. Jordan’s fellow members of The Network were constant menaces at ringside, but Marbella did a good job of keeping referee Roy Worrall aware of when Vicious and Big Mac stepped out of line.

Ten minutes into the match, Riddick Jordan was on top – until Evan Alpass was able to hit a huge Belly To Belly Suplex from nowhere that left both men down. Marbella cheered her man on at ringside, pounding the canvas to urge him back to his feet. Just when it looked like Alpass would be first back to his feet, Alton Vicious hopped onto the apron looking to get involved. Marbella was quick to alert the referee, and Vicious was cut off. However while the referee’s back was turned, the numbers game proved too much as Big Mac was able to slide into the ring and deliver a big Spear to Evan Alpass! Big Mac placed Jordan on top of Alpass before sliding from the ring just in time for referee Roy Worrall to turn back around and see the cover. Marbella tried to get the referee’s attention, but it was no use and the three count was made.

    Winner: Riddick Jordan

    Rating: 49

Jackie Goldstein: “God damn it! Evan Alpass looked like he was in control of that match, but the numbers game of The Network just proved too much!”

Melanie Florence: “The Network really seem to have stepped up their game these past few months Jackie, I wouldn’t want to get on the wrong side of them!”

Owen and Ward are back to job, but at least it will be a Banger.

Glad to see people are still supporting The British Bangers, even after a break for Leighton to pursue the Cruiserweight belt! Here's hoping for plenty more bangers!

Thank you to everyone who predicted and reacted to the latest show. Sorry for the slight delay in posting, work has been really busy for the past few weeks so I've run out of shows to post and I'm now writing in 'real time'. In-game I'm still simulated a few shows ahead, but I'd like to get a few shows written up and get ahead of myself again.

An easier episode to predict, with six predictors getting perfect scores. Currently a three way tie at the top, with @newbiezness, @alliegolem and @lieon02 still on for a perfect score! Hope to see everyone back for the next show!

  13. CGC World Title Match: Biff the Bruiser vs Steve DeColt (c)
I think Steve will win the match, but won't get the girl... Heel turn inbound?
    Nelson Blais vs Condor
You mentioned Condor was surprisingly over, and Blais is more of a tag guy
Question: Who's right? Are the CGC Matchmaking Committee right for upholding the suspension on Barry Bowen? Or is Steve DeColt right for demanding a chance to get revenge? Who's the babyface to you?
The CGC Matchmaking Committee are in the right here. The matchmaking committee's motives are to protect the rest of the roster from a similar attack in the future, whereas Steve's are purely driven by his selfish thirst for revenge. I'm interested to see if this will be the catalyst for an (on screen) fall out between Steve/George and the start of Steve's 'Outsider' gimmick?

I'm also interested to see who the injury you mentioned is. Injuries are annoying, but sometimes being forced to pivot can force you into more creative solutions.

Jackie Goldstein: “Hello and welcome to National Wrestling! My name is Jackie Goldstein, and joining me at ringside is Melanie Florence!”

Melanie Florence: “Thanks Jackie! We have a huge night of wrestling ahead of us, as we see a true Heavyweight clash as Olympic Bronze medalist Stuart Wilson faces former Sumo wrestler Naozane Goto!”

Jackie Goldstein: “But Goto’s not faced anybody with the size and power of Stuart Wilson before! And we’ll move from power to technical mastery in our Main Event – where ‘The Prodigy’ Darin Flynn faces Lenny Mochin!”

Melanie Florence: “But we kick off with tag team action – as The British Bangers face Ward & Owen!”

The British Bangers (Leighton Buzzard & Grant Taypen) VS Glen Ward & Gavin Owen

We opened the show with tag team action, as Ward & Owen continued their search for a first win in the NWF against The British Bangers. The judoka pair were able to isolate Grant Taypen early on and dominated proceedings for a period, but couldn’t quite put the British Banger away. Leighton Buzzard got the crowd involved on the apron, urging on Grant Taypen as he desperately tried to make the tag. Finally, Taypen was able to make the hot tag to Buzzard and the crowd erupted as the former Cruiserweight champion hit the ring.

Bang! Dropkick to Owen! Bang! Dropkick to Ward! Leighton Buzzard was on fire as he dumped Glen Ward over the top rope. Helping his partner to his feet, Buzzard directed Taypen to the top rope on the opposite side of the ring as the pair hit their Bang! Bang! Dropkicks! (Dual Diving Missile Dropkicks) on Gavin Owen for the win.

Winners: The British Bangers (Leighton Buzzard & Grant Taypen)

    DamianDastardly.jpg.21d02fad0fa4840cb67c19f22ea45b8f.jpg

The camera cut backstage to find the new Cruiserweight champion watching the opening match on a monitor. Having taken Leighton Buzzard’s title in a multi-man match at ‘No Limits’, Damian Dastardly would most likely have to face Buzzard one-on-one in the rematch…

Dastardly paced nervously, until there was a knock at the door and Mo Adebola walked in alongside the British Heavyweight Champion Edison Silva. Dastardly thanked Adebola for meeting him, and asked him if he could help him get around Leighton Buzzard’s rematch clause. Adebola told the Kiwi that the rematch clauses around here were pretty iron clad… he had helped write them himself after all! But he may be able to help Dastardly… if the Cruiserweight champion could make it worth his while…

Naozane Goto VS ‘The Celtic Hammer’ Stuart Wilson

A real spectacle here, as the two biggest men in the NWF clashed on National Wrestling. Despite being over 300lb himself, Stuart Wilson was giving up nearly 80lb to his Japanese opponent here. Despite their impressive size, both men were surprisingly agile and were able to put together an entertaining back and forth match. A former Olympian, Wilson looked to show off his incredible Power as he attempted to lift Goto for his Bronze Bomber (Running Powerslam)… but the former Sumo Wrestler was just too heavy, and not even Wilson could lift him from the mat!

Instead Wilson dropped Goto with a powerful Lariat, and looked like he was going to press home his advantage… when Iggy Riot appeared behind the Olympic Bronze Medalist and dropped him with Riot Control (F5) – leaving referee Roy Worrall no choice but to call for the bell.

Chuck Frisby started his promo by surprisingly thanking Stuart Wilson for making the personal trainer realise that he had got so caught up in chasing ‘revenge’ that he had lost sight of the vision of Frisby’s Foundation for Fitness. Chuck told Wilson that he would be cancelling all three of the groups memberships with Olympia Strength & Conditioning Gym, and the group would go back to what they came here to do in the first place – inspire each and every one of the losers in the audience to improve their pitiful lives! And that would start next week as Iggy Riot returned to the ring!

The crowd booed the personal trainer, as Chuck proclaimed: “My name is Chuck Frisby, and once again I’ll be tackling England’s obesity crisis, one person at a time!”

Bret Heartbreak VS Joey Beauchamp w/ Dylan Drama

Joey Beauchamp looked to turn this match into a Wild Brawl from the bell, and after the past few weeks – Bret Heartbreak was only too happy to oblige. Beauchamp laid into his young opponent with a series of hard right hands, the last of which drew blood from the ear of Bret Heartbreak – with blood seeping into his flowing Blonde locks.

Rather than deter the youngster, Bret grinned and returned fire. The pair brawled, as Dylan Drama looked on disinterestedly from ringside with the air of a man who felt he had far more important things to be doing. Bret’s hair was soaked with blood by the time he climbed to the top rope to deliver his Heart Attack (Top Rope Diving Clothesline) to secure the win.

    BretHeartbreak.jpg.fe12320c738a4b72e97d09f858709731.jpg

Bret said that he had entered the business idolising veterans like his father and Joey Beauchamp. That he had always felt in his fathers shadow, and never felt like he was at the level of his father and his peers. That he had never felt good enough for his father, but now that he had seen who his father really was… he didn’t idolise him anymore!

Before Bret Heartbreak could continue, he was jumped from behind by Byron – before the veteran pulled his son up to his feet by his hair. Holly Leves shouted in Bret’s face that he would never be half the man that his father was, before kicking Bret between the legs right in the family jewels! Bret Heartbreak eyes watered as the youngster rolled around in agony on the mat, and boos rained down from the crowd. Byron picked the microphone up from the canvas and yelled down at his son that things would just keep getting worse for him! If Bret knew what was good for him, he would just leave!

Evan Alpass w/ Marbella VS Padraig O’Hearne

After his spectacular return in last week’s Main Event, this was Evan Alpass’ first match since breaking his arm back in September. O’Hearne’s recent mixed fortunes continued, as the Irishman struggled to build any kind of momentum – ducking when he should have weaved, moving right when he should have moved left. This allowed Alpass to take control and, cheered on by Marbella at ringside, Alpass was able to hit his Belly to Belly Suplex for a big win.

    NWF.jpg.fd4be09fa0c5266d66ac6ca9488de580.jpg

Evan Alpass celebrated his victory in the ring alongside Marbella, but the smiling babyfaces celebrations were cut short by the music of The Network.

The Network made their way down to the ring, surrounding Evan Alpass and Marbella. Marbella looked nervous, as Frank Finkleton warned Alpass not to stick his nose where it doesn’t belong. The Northern Lights stepped forward, but before they could attack Alpass the music of Leo Price blared over the speakers and The Young Lions sprinted out from the back.

Dangermouth and the Black Country Boys slid into the ring to side with Evan Alpass, and there was a moment of tension as the two groups stared down… until the crowd erupted as the music of ‘The Springbok’ Landon Mallory got the crowd on their feet.

    LandonMallory.jpg.ccc54b540d58a76e93b5a97b26be2ee9.jpg

On seeing Mallory, The Network decided to bail from the ring. Frank Finkleton shouted up at Mallory that he shouldn’t even be here as he was suspended! The South African told Finkleton he had had enough of people abusing power for their own means. Whether it was The Network or Mo Adebola, the people in the ring were here to put a stop to it!

‘The Springbok’ then addressed the British Heavyweight Champion, telling Edison Silva that his lawyer may have bought the champion some time – but Mallory had appealed the decision and once his suspension was overturned he would be coming for Silva’s belt at ‘Locked & Loaded’! From the corner of the ring a voice piped up that the appeals process took a minimum of thirty days which would take them beyond ‘Locked & Loaded’…

‘The Prodigy’ Darin Flynn w/ Mark Moore VS Lenny Mochin

Jackie Goldstein reminded us on commentary that Darin Flynn wanted a match with Mo Adebola’s ‘Insurance Policy’ JK Lee at ‘Locked & Loaded’, and Mark Moore had set this match up for his client as he saw it as a ‘perfect warm up’.

Mochin certainly shared the technical skills of JK Lee, but perhaps lacked the tenacious ground game of the ‘Insurance Policy’. Mochin showcased his skills as he went hold for hold with Flynn, but ‘The Prodigy’ soon showed why he had earned his moniker as he was able to transition into his Prodigal Pressure and Mochin had no choice but to tap out.

Winner: ‘The Prodigy’ Darin Flynn w/ Mark Moore

Jackie Goldstein: “’The Prodigy’ picks up an impressive victory, but the question remains – will JK Lee accept his challenge?”

Jackie Goldstein: “You might be right there Mel…”

Great moment to return for Alpass. I didn't know he was so popular in UK before your recap. I hope he can show this time that he is an interesting member of the roster. Holly Leves' character has been good in this diary but I think Marbella has the potential to be even better.

Alpass came over with the popularity from his time on 21CW TV. In pop terms he's actually one of my top babyfaces (particularly with Welsh Dragon having handed in his notice). Unfortunately he got injured before he could really get going in his first run, but I'm looking forward to seeing if he can build into anything now that he's back from injury! His pairing with Marbella is an interesting one, and I'm hoping she will be able to get him over.

I loved the one year recap. So many good moments in this diary so far. It's true that Frisby's story is a bit stalled but it's something that happens to many hot acts at some point. Now it'll be interesting if you can turn around the situation. I'm sure Damian Dastardly is going to be a star in year 2. Also I know that State Of Mind aren't as good in-ring as other tag-teams but I think they've become one of the fan favorites in this diary, so I hope they'll have their moment to shine in year 2.

I'm hoping I can turn Frisby's Foundation for Fitness around. I have at least one big feud planned for them in year two, so hopefully that can bring them back into focus! State of Mind are an interesting one, they've taken a back seat while The Northern Lights were champions as they were fellow Heels - but now that a Babyface team have the straps, expect State of Mind to become more relevant.

The recap for year 1 was great, it was interesting to see how certain storylines and title scenes ended up changing and the growth of some of your stars' popularity.  The double digit jumps for multiple stars that started out with either 1 or 0 popularity I find very impressive.  I do have a question for your first year with NWF.  Who do you think was your most disappointing star in NWF's first year and which star surprised you the most in a good way?

The most disappointing wrestler in year one was Red Dragon. I brought him in based on his 21CW World Champion history and his debut was meant to be a big moment, but his promos underwhelmed and he was too old to deliver in the ring. Edison Silva dragged him to a decent enough title match, but the rest of his run was subpar. In terms of who surprised me the most - in terms of pop I would say JK Lee. I didn't really do anything with him and he gained 20 points of pop. That earned him his current spot as Mo Adebola's 'Insurance Policy' to see if Mo can make him a Star. In terms of character I'd say Leighton Buzzard. He was a generic high flying babyface in a midcard tag team - talented enough but bland. Then @newbiezness gave me a tag name of 'The British Bangers' as a prediction prize, and it all clicked into place. I definitely wouldn't have him pinned as a year one Cruiserweight champion at the start of the diary. My original three thoughts to dethrone Welsh Dragon were initially Petey Barnes, Martin Heath or Brilliant White - and obviously none of them have held the belt!

    Welsh Dragon Rumours

Rumours coming out of the NWF indicate that Welsh Dragon handed in his notice before last night’s episode of National Wrestling due to the Welshman being unhappy at the promotion. The former 21CW starlet was said to be annoyed at being blamed backstage for a botch on Brilliant White at Clash of Champions back in April, and it’s believed that relations between the pair haven’t improved since then.

The Welshman is also said to be upset with some of his booking since losing the NWF Cruiserweight Title, with his loss at ‘No Limits’ in the titular match – which saw Damian Dastardly win the Cruiserweight Title from Leighton Buzzard – being the final straw. If true, the Welshman will be out of the promotion in 28 days. NWF are yet to comment on the situation.

Further Update: It is reported that Welsh Dragon suffered a Bruised Tail Bone in his match with ‘Big Mac’ Nathan McKenzie following a Powerbomb spot.

    Edison Silva to crack America?

After successfully defending his title at ‘No Limits’, it appears NWF British Heavyweight Champion has ambitious plans. Looking to take advantage of the MMA boom in the US, last night Silva announced on his Instagram feed that he would now be accepting bookings stateside. It is not believed that Silva has secured any bookings at this stage, or that his new US venture will affect his position in the NWF – but Silva clearly believes there is money to be made on the other side of the Atlantic.

Your Announce Team: Jackie Goldstein & Melanie Florence

Jackie Goldstein: “Hello and welcome to a special anniversary episode of National Wrestling! My name is Jackie Goldstein, and joining me at ringside is Melanie Florence.”

Melanie Florence: “That’s right Jackie, it was exactly one year ago today the very first episode of National Wrestling was broadcast on WrestleWorld GB – and tonight we celebrate everything we’ve achieved in the past twelve months!”

Jackie Goldstein: “And what better way to celebrate the end of NWF’s first year, than a blockbuster Main Event! Network executive Frank Finkleton has announced that The Northern Lights will be receiving an immediate rematch for the British Tag Team Titles they lost on Sunday. Tonight’s Main Event sees The Foundation take on The Northern Lights!”

Melanie Florence: “If it’s half as good as their match on Sunday, we’re in for a treat… and speaking of treats, what better what to kick off the show than with the talk of the NWF – Byron!”

    AkihiroHisato.jpg.f9f2f92e516b3cd551cab9b12627313a.jpgimage.jpeg.bd3da741ab1ac165cb6af0648cf87b61.jpeg.599f122b7ad7b4d6652a4eb088fed38f.jpegByron.jpg.1d9f241ccea8c5d3748b374b5a97e336.jpgHollyLeves.jpg.4054f1f88cbc1ec4064150653dbc7e7c.jpg

Akihiro Hisato VS Byron w/ Holly Leves

Byron and Holly Leves drew the ire of the NWF crowd, while on commentary Jackie Goldstein berated the pair for what they did to Bret Heartbreak on Sunday – saying he had never seen a betrayal like it between father and son! Melanie Florence of course disagreed, stating that Bret Heartbreak had dragged his family name through the mud for long enough… he had forced Byron to take action. A ten-time World Champion does not deserve that kind of disrespect!

In the ring, the pair Worked The Crowd – but Byron was always in control of this one. Despite this, Holly Leves unnecessarily inserted herself into the action at regular intervals to draw boos from the crowd. A distraction from Holly Leves around the nine minute mark gave Byron the opening he needed to hit his Upper Class (European Uppercut) to seal the victory – much to the distaste of the NWF audience.

    Winner: Byron w/ Holly Leves

    NWF.jpg.64503200109713cca51beb7ea7edfb68.jpg

The crowd booing intensified as Holly Leves slid into the ring, and engaged in a spot of tonsil tennis with Byron - a man old enough to be her father.

    Byron.jpg.1d9f241ccea8c5d3748b374b5a97e336.jpgHollyLeves.jpg.4054f1f88cbc1ec4064150653dbc7e7c.jpg

The crowds booing seemed to upset the young blonde, as she grabbed a microphone and yelled at the crowd to SHUT THEIR MOUTHS! Holly told the crowd they were just jealous because they had never been able to staisfy a woman in their pathetic lives – just like Bret Heartbreak. Holly said she couldn’t believe she waited so long before ditching that child and getting with a REAL man! Holly then said that without her by his side, Bret Heartbreak’s wrestling career was as good as over! The segment finished with one more round of tonsil tennis, which was met with another round of boos.

Black Country Boys (Gazz Vedmore & Mickey Robson) VS The Party Animals (Rave & Trance)

The Party Animals attempted to get the Black Country Boys to dance with them to their entrance music prior to the match, but the 90’s electronic music Rave & Trance enjoy hasn’t been popular since before their opponents were born. The Black Country Boys continued their recent winning streak, as Gazz Vedmore hit his Rolling DDT to secure a third consecutive victory since the team joined Leo Price’s ‘Young Lions’.

We cut to the locker room of Moore’s Sports Agency, where Mark Moore told his clients that the champagne was on ice until after tonight’s rematch. Moore told The Foundation that they knew they were up against unfair odds with The Network, but if they repeated their performance from Sunday they would be fine!

Speaking of unfair odds, Darin Flynn blamed JK Lee’s interference for his loss in Sunday’s Main Event and told Mark Moore that as his agent he wanted him to secure a match with JK Lee so that ‘The Prodigy’ could exact his revenge.

Welsh Dragon VS ‘Big Mac’ Nathan McKenzie

Despite being one of the most muscular Cruiserweights in the division, Welsh Dragon’s power paled in comparison to his big Australian opponents. The Welshman looked to take control with his lucha-inspired moveset, but an attempted Hurricanrana was reversed into a Powerbomb. Welsh Dragon immediately felt for his back, and the Cruiserweight’s movement looked limited for the remainder of the contest. ‘Big Mac’ dominated from this point on, scooping Welsh Dragon onto his shoulder to deliver a Snake Eyes to the corner turnbuckle, before bouncing off the far ropes to deliver a Spear that turned his opponent inside out.

We cut backstage to the locker room of the Black Country Boys, where Leo Price and Dangermouth were congratulating the pair on their victory earlier in the evening.

Leo Price told his Young Lions not to be intimidated by the Network… but just as ‘The Lion’ was getting into his speech, the locker room door opened.

    FinkFinkleton.jpg.6b0118456fb5d58bd6e673ae7d9fa11e.jpgNathanMcKenzie.jpg.e6c2a69a0a48801ebb4e62d3064bd047.jpgAltonVicious.jpg.e4b621ca62230b2263520ad2ed6bf60f.jpgRiddickJordan.jpg.4c9ecd8c74be1b3c403ca645c044b0fb.jpg

The Network walked into the room, with ‘Big Mac’ leading The Northern Lights and Frank Finkleton. Finkleton addressed the Black Country Boys, warning the youngsters that they should think long and hard before aligning themselves with Price. The network executive pointed out that he had the power to hand The Northern Lights an immediate rematch tonight… would Price be able to do that for them? The Black Country Boys didn’t respond, and Finkleton told them to “think about it” before leading The Network out of the locker room.

Future X (Petey Barnes & Eric Future) VS School Of Wrestling (Toxic & Ron Gibson) w/ The Professor

School of Wrestling were looking to put into action the ‘actionable insights’ from The Professor’s lecture on last weeks epsiode of National Wrestling. Things looked to be going well for the pair, as they showed good teamwork in the early stages of the match… before Toxic got carried away and (despite The Professor frantically trying to stop him) missed an attempted diving Senton from the second turnbuckle to ringside. This gave Future X the opening they needed, and the pair hit their Future Shock DDT (Aided Double Arm DDT) on Toxic for a hard fought victory. The Professor once again had his head in his hands at ringside, as it appeared his students still had much to learn.

Stuart Wilson walked through the gym, and Chuck made a point of calling the Gym owner over to admire the whiteboard with him. Frisby commented that it must really hurt Wilson to see someone else’s name on the board, and offered to coach Wilson and help him get the record back… for the low, low fee of £9.99 a month! Frisby and Iggy Riot laughed, before Wilson reminded Frisby that HE was currently paying Wilson £300 a month for Frisby’s groups memberships at Olympia Gym… so who was the real winner in all of this? This shut Frisby up (a rare occurance), and the personal trainer looked furious as Stuart Wilson walked out of shot chuckling.

    LandonMallory.jpg.268284f7c718eb10f8207a00708f78e8.jpg

The Springbok told Rachel Dearheart that after Mo Adebola’s ‘Insurance Policy’ had failed to pay out on Sunday, there was nobody left to stand in the way of his rematch with Edison Silva…

At the mention of his name, the British Heavyweight Champion walked into shot – accompanied, as always, by his legal advisor Mo Adebola. Adebola told Mallory that he shouldn’t count his chickens before they hatch, as the lawyer had just come from a meeting with the NWF board where he had submitted an official complaint against the South African for interfering in his clients match at ‘No Limits’! Mallory scoffed, pointing out that JK Lee had interfered in the match first… However, Adebola simply grinned.

Mo Adebola: “But unlike my ‘Insurance Policy’ YOU have previously been suspended for misconduct, and company policy dictates that any worker with a strike on their record is automatically suspended from in-ring action for 30 days pending appeal!”

Landon Mallory was furious, telling Mo Adebola that he would appeal the decision! The grin didn’t drop from Adebola’s face, as he told The Springbok that he would “see him in court”!

    (C) The Foundation w/ Mark Moore VS The Northern Lights w/ Frank Finkleton

These two teams put on the best tag team match in company history this past Sunday at ‘No Limits’, and if anything the rematch surpassed the original. The Northern Lights had been caught out on Sunday by Martin Heath’s Hot New Move, but the former champions had it scouted now – and Heath crashed and burned as he went for his Rocking The Foundations (Whisper In The Wind).

This gave The Northern Lights the advantage, which they held until a late rally from Jon Michael Sharp brought the champions back into the match. However, just when it looked like Sharp might get the champions over the line Frank Finkleton grabbed Sharp’s foot to provide the distraction. This earned Finkleton a reprimand from the referee, causing the network executive to hop onto the apron and threaten to fire Roy Worrall as referee if he spoke to Finkleton like that again! Whether it was Finkleton’s plan all along, this gave Alton Vicious an opening to slide a chair into the ring to his partner. Riddick Jordan stalked Jon Michael Sharp, waiting for the perfect moment to strike…

However just as Jordan was ready to swing, the chair was snatched from behind him as Evan Alpass made his return to the NWF! Riddick Jordan had been the man who broke Alpass’ arm nearly three months ago, and Alpass got a dose of revenge as he cracked the chair over Jordan’s head – before taking Alton Vicious out at ringside with a dive from the apron. A recovered Jon Michael Sharp slowly crawled into the cover and referee Roy Worrall, visibly still annoyed from the confrontation with Frank Finkleton, saw the pin and leapt into action to make the three count!

Frank Finkleton slid into the ring to continue his argument with Roy Worrall, as The Foundation celebrated with their titles as the show went off the air.

Winners & STILL Champions: The Foundation – Title Defence #1

Jackie Goldstein: “Frank Finkleton does not look happy as his clients come up short for the second time in four days!”

Melanie Florence:  “He’s furious Jackie! Roy Worrall wants to be careful, Finkleton has the power to make his life very difficult…”

Jackie Goldstein: “Forget about Finkleton for now because… with a little help from a returning Evan Alpass, our new British Tag Team champions have proved once and for all that they are The Foundation of the tag division!”

'No Limits' Match for the Cruiserweight Title: (C) Leighton Buzzard vs Welsh Dragon vs Damian Dastardly vs Petey Barnes vs Brilliant White
Buzzard is def a diary favourite, but I could see Dastardly walks out with the crown .

This one is tough as I can convince myself that any of these guys could win, but I believe that the chaos of this match may be in Damian's favor.

I think a Four-Way it's a perfect opportunity for Damian Dastardly to win the title

@newbiezness It was actually a five-way match, but your logic stood! I'm glad a lot of people went for Dastardly, as I have big plans for him! The match definitely fitted his character, and hopefully this title reign will help him shoot up the card!

Assuming it ain't going to be a one-shot, daddy could take this one.

Bret needs this win in my opinion.

    Pass the torch match???

With that ending it's definitely not a one shot @Wrestling Machine! I had the betrayal planned in my head from the start of the diary, and I'm happy to be getting into it. @KyTeran hopefully by the end of the feud you'll agree this loss was worth it!

Any other comments on diary/requests for the annual overview: You continue to impress for how you build up matches for your major events and I feel that there was at least one memorable moment to set up each match on the show.  For your annual review is it possible to see who the best and worst performers for NWF's first year.

I think this was kind of covered with the table for the average ratings and highest match scores, but if there's anything specific you wanted to know let me know and I will post it :)

Thank you to everyone who commented, predicted and reacted to the latest show! I was really happy with how No Limits turned out, and I'm glad some of you enjoyed the show as well!

Thank you for another great turnout for the predictions contest, I really do appreciate it! @KyTeran held off a close challenge from @newbiezness for the top spot to win by just one point. We also had a tie for third, with both @Wrestling Machine and @lieon02 scoring 4/5 for No Limits. Since it was a tie, the top four will now receive a prize. Keep an eye on your inbox over the next couple of days for details. :)
