I need a little bit more for each step. Added "role detail" for step one, optional but highly recommended since it might make the negotiation more fun if I can know more about the character the talent is portraying.

I added "rating" and "genre" for step 2 so I don't have to keep on referring to step one for such information.

Do note the the trend is changing 2 days later.

 3.

Back to Bussiness

Review by: Mr.G

Back to Business seems like a tribute to the mafia genre in a way. Taking icons like Robert De Niro and Al Pacino and putting them in a scenario like this is actually a very cool concept. Even the most serious people in the world have their funny side, so are mobsters.

This movie has a focus on the big 4: Tommy, Paulie, Frankie and Pete. Personally, I find it to be more interesting if they were mafias of different families(more on this later) but in this film, they are from the same family so they are friends to begin with. The film has a focus on the characters, which are well done actually, as all of the big 4 are given reasonable on-screen time to display their quirks in comedic ways.

Each of them are given different personalities and presentations throughout the story and that's cool but then...the latter parts aren't that good. I expect some clever schemes, be it original or ideas taken from some mafia movies, but there's ultimately none of them. Okay, I could do without clever schemes but...where are the funniness? The first half of the movie is much more clever and indepth when it comes to the comedy but they seem to all falter toward the end.

The second half is just...so simple. Vincent Domingo comes, harasses people and doing all sort of bad stuff. The ex-mobs lead the retirees in retiliation and eventually bring Vincent Domingo down...but way too easily. It's not really satisfying to say the least. The film might as well be all about the big 4 from front to the end instead of introducing Vincent Domingo because it breaks away the fun part and make the movie seems so dull. As the front part is so good, it's hard to not think negatively toward the sudden drop of comedic quality.

The solution is pretty simple, the studio needs to make the fight against Vincent Domingo more fun and epic instead of a simple come and go. The arrival of Vincent Domingo could be earlier, so there's more time on the rebellion part, which I imagine could be make funnier if given time to think of ideas. Or if the studio has more idea about the big 4, then the story can be about big 4 from different families and their battle to conquer the Shady Acres. Or there can be two rival families(Tommy and Paulie leading each one) that eventually unite together and became good friends as they join forces against Vincent Domingo. The studio can also spoof some ideas from famous mafia movies if they want to.

All in all, I would say this is 2.75 stars, could have been much more if the latter part don't fall flat.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Misc. Information

- 400,000 production value is more than enough for this movie due to the limited need of venues good job.

- The marketing budget and also the star power do help in putting more people to the theater. Granted most of the fans are long time fans of the talents(and are older on average), some of them do have families and the stars in this movie do acquire new, younger fans(age 20-35) out of this.

- The quality drop from first part to the second part does pull away some potential moviegoers from this film.

- The trend does help securing a fair amount of moviegoers.

- GM's Note: Robert De Niro should be given more screen time as the main lead. Judging the screen time by what you have written, he's equal or even lesser than the other 3 when it comes to description and scene detail. There will be minor penalty on this.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Revenue: 16,872,000

Budget: 6,400,000

----------------------------

Gross Profit: 10,472,000

Post-release: 3,100,000

36% Bonus: 4,489,920

----------------------------

Net Profit: 4,882,080

True Bright Pictures's new capital = 6,900,000 + 4,882,080 + 424,500(Profit from Hack/Slash) = 12,206,580

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Impact

- Benjamin Bratt is blamed for dragging the film down. Well, it's not really his fault, he's just following the script but the people don't give a f*** about the detail. They will just blame whoever they please. Benjamin Bratt's SP decreased from 1.00 to 0.85.

- One of the hot topic on the internet is "Robert De Niro vs Al Pacino" and Al Pacino wins in this one as Robert De Niro doesn't seem to be doing enough in the film. Al Pacino's SP increased from 4.40 to 4.50.

- Some are surprised that Coen Brothers handle this kind of film fairly well. While it's still an average directing overall, but comedy really isn't Coen Brother's strong suit. Coen Brother's SP increased from 2.30 to 2.35.

 4.
Chimpanzombees

Danina Gurira

- She considers for quite sometime and even talk with her agent. Adding them isn't the problem, gauging SP has been the main time-eater(need to check a lot of things for each talent) and I still don't think I did a very great job on it so far. I probably mis-SP a lot of star, mainly the smaller stars since my knowledge isn't that great. Still, I will try to get it done within today.

Chemistry bonus is a very good idea, I will see if I can implement it ASAP.

Oh, now i got it, it's all imagination, i thought that there was a sim and the guys used it, but then, i'm going to post mine here soon.

Yay on another player! 5.

Hack/Slash

Review by: Mr.G

Finally, a movie about Hack/Slash. Rumor has it that the franchise is in development hell for quite a while but eventually it got assigned to a smaller studio. Wow, bold move there by the owner of Hack/Slash franchise. Is that a good move? We will see in the next few minutes. The movie starts up pretty well, which is pretty essential for a good movie, and it eventually leads to a battle with the first villain of this film, Acid Angel. So far, so good.

This leads the audience into the main story of this movie(according to the plot summary), the (not really a) vacation of Cassie and Vlad. The main story is mainly about Laura Lochs reviving Father Wrath and go on with a killing spree over the vacation spot that Cassie and Vlad are in. Well, more work for the Slasher Hunters and no vacation at all. Most of the gore and horror come from the part where Father Wrath and Laura Lochs doing their dirty work throughout Palm Springs but eventually Cassie and Vlad are there for the rescue.

Huge fighting scenes ensue between the two sides. Vlad goes rampage against Father Wrath but Father Wrath does his fair share of job on Vlad as well before losing and get thrown back to hell through the mirror he came from. Laura isn't that good of a fighter though so she has to use necromancy and trickery to equal the playground. Sadly for her, such trickery isn't enough to hold off the bad-ass Cassie and Laura eventually pays her price and...it's done. Oh, there's also hints of a sequel at the end.

With a running time of 82 minutes, there just doesn't seem to be enough content to satisfy the masses, the main story part is especially too little. An ordinary movie usually has a 1:2:1 ratio between act 1,2 and 3. Of course, it's not an universal formula but it does has its reason. Much like eating a meal in a restaurant, the portion of appetizer and dessert are not going to be more than the main dish. The "main dish" of Hack/Slash appears to be a bit on the minimal side which involves the protagonists getting to the location and then just beat the crap out of the antagonists. I would prefer a little more build-up for a better climax and end fight.

The comic book cutscenes are a pretty cool idea to say the least, but using it too many times can be repetitive. It's not too bad and should be good for the comic book fans out there but I am just thinking that maybe the studio can use a more "cinema-ish" way to present the story on occassion. The studio can just expand them instead of using cutscenes to give more contents to the main story part of the movie and also at the same time, give those moviegoers that are new the Hack/Slash an easier access to the universe of Hack/Slash. After all, the book fans probably know who and what already; the movie should try to get more people into becoming fans of the franchise.

I also think that this film is more of a Horror Action than straight Horror. As I have mentioned above, the main horror part are merely when Father Wrath and Laura Lochs slaughter the crap out of the the vacation spot. Other than that, it's highly action -- clever one-liners(some bad but mostly good and even, great), tons of fighting scenes and you probably can't get away from action if it's a comic book.

Ultimately, I give this 3.0 stars. It could have been higher if the act 2 is more packed with content.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Misc. Information

- Some hardcore horror fans are disappointed by the style of this film, as it's not their cup of scary, horror type of film. This affects the box office a little bit after words come out in various review sites. Many that watch this are fans of the original comic book(the ads behind the comic book have been very helpful) and ultimately, it doesn't bring in too many new fans.

- The trend helps slightly in bringing more box office.

- Many moviergoers wished that the film could be longer, seeing that there should be more than enough content to draw from the comic book if needed. The production value is solid enough for the film to be longer too, it could use more marketing budget though.

- The high production value of this film actually makes the DVD sales higher, that helps the revenue a little bit.

- GM's Note: It's struggle between 3.0 and 3.25 but ultimately I give you 3.0 but it's very close to a 3.25. I just think that the minor negatives weigh more than the minor positives. A better act 2 could make this a 3.5 and maybe even 3.75, as act 2 makes up the main part of a movie and is the hardest act to write.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Revenue: 12,745,000

Budget: 3,500,000

----------------------------

Gross Profit: 9,245,000

Post-release: 2,150,000

20% Bonus: 1,849,000

25% Franchise: 2,311,250

10% Co-Studio: 924,500

----------------------------

Net Profit: 2,010,250

The World's not Round Studio's new capital = 3,000,000 + 2,010,250 = 5,010,250

GM's Note: In case one wonder why the revenue is so high for a 3 stars. The "profit adjustment" is in place, to increase the revenue reasonably to stimulate the franchise drawing power yet some of the money are given back to the franchise, to make sure the player doesn't get rich too fast if they can just directly ask for huge franchise.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Impact

- Many consider Alexz Johnson to be the one that underperformed in this film. Her SP has decreased from 0.70 to 0.60 because of this.

- Cortney Palm gets more recognition out there, at the very least, the fanboys of Hack/Slash will remember her name. Cortney Palm's SP increased from 0.40 to 0.65.

- Many internet forums are debating about Ron Perlman's performance with the most popular topic being "Hellboy vs Vlad". Ron Perlman's attention has given him some SP boost, from 1.90 to 2.00.

- Tim Seeley is overall happy with the performance of the movie. He gives your studio first dip on securing a right to the sequel.

- BONUS: Comic Hero: The studio garners a fair share of interest among comic book producers. In your next negotiation of comic book adaptation, you will be given better offer from the owner of said franchise.

You just need to calm his monkey ass down in this one by giving him something. You can lower the 40% to a number you would like, or you can offer him money instead of %.

Edit: I think I am delaying you too much so I will just make it easier for you:

John Travolta can wait for the next movie but he expect a BIG pay day out of it. My suggestion is don't do it and my tips for you is try to renegotiate. Don't always take what I give you, negotiation is important to success.

 9.

She shall return in the next movie, will be second lead.

Didn't realize it till now. If you want to break the agreement, fine, but he wants 40% of this movie's profit as compensation and GUARANTEED that he will get to settle the agreement by next movie.

 10. The Chaperone You need to cast John Travolta as lead because of your previous commitment: You cannot proceed without doing so unless you talk to John Travolta to delay the agreement or whatever. Do note that if you put John Travolta into this movie, you have to pull off anyone that was in Tribal Survival because he refuse to work with them. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Serendipity 2: This Is It You need to cast Anne Hathaway as at least second lead because of your previous commitment: You cannot proceed without doing so unless you talk to Anne Hathaway for another arrangement. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chimpanzombees Idris Elba(1.75 SP) - No problem on America accent. - He would want 1,750,000. - If you agree that he could do another film with you(within your next 6) and has at least a second lead(or important support if you will) then he can loewr the price to 1,350,000 and he will only take 650,000 upfront. Dania Gurira(0.75 SP) - She likes the character and will do the film for 660,000. Andy Serkis(1.50 SP) - He believes that he is one of the best when it comes to motion capture acting, so he would like 1,000,000 along with the 3% profit. He will just take 500,000 upfront if you agree. Michael B Jordan(0.80 SP) - He would take the role for 400,000. Djimon Housou(1.15 SP) - He would like 977,500. - He would take 500,000 up front if you agree for him to do another movie within your next 5 movies. At least a support role. David Hasselhoff(1.40 SP) - Cameo role really isn't that valuable. He would do a cameo for free though if you would give him at least a supporting role(as in minor support) in your next 6 films(so 1 free cameo + 1 support role). If you would take the idea, he would do this for 460,000. Gbenga Akinnagbe(0.65 SP) - He would take it for 260,000. Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje(1.00 SP) - Taking the role for 450,000. Sasha Grey(0.15 SP) - She would take the cameo role for 10,000 OR for free if you can give her at least a supporting role in your next 5 movie. George A Romero(1.80 SP) - He think he can handle the film pretty well with some Romero-esque direction, 750,000 + 20% OR 200,000 + 32.5%. Lowest cost: Pre-release: 4,090,000 Post-release: 1,675,500 + 32.5% ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On the last version, I tried product placement but now that I think of it, it's probably a no for now. It's just free cash out of nowhere by fulfilling some requirement, which I find make the fun easier. I think the game should be a bit difficulty in the starting phase so trying to limit bonus is one of the goal. I think it will make doing good movies more rewarding and fun for the players if it's the only way to get cash. HOWEVER, it's find to co-create a movie with other studios. Or you can also borrow money from another studio to make your film. This is fine because it creates interaction between players which is always good. Been meaning to reply this but has not on multiple occasion. I think it's better in the current version. Unless the injury is permanent, he could get back to the street anyway and if the injury is permanent, beating a group of terrorist with a bad knee way too hard to be a one man job. I could buy it better if he has a partner to help him but for him to solo everyone alone is a pretty tough sale. Just my opinion and I understand that action films have main character defying impossible odds too so it isn't do-able.

Mark them with main lead, second lead, support and cameo. Based on what I read, I think you should only put Zac Efron and Hilary Duff as main lead as I think they are the main couple in your movie, others should be lower in roles. This will save you some money, especially Jiim Carrey and Adam Sandler are going to cost you A TON so I don't recommend you include that two in main lead. Also, you forgot your movie title.

 22.

Fauntleroy Jones: Special Bounty Hunter

Review by: Mr.G

A R-rated comedy, huh? Pretty interesting. The movie starts with some good background information before putting the audience into the world. Everything is fairly simple, as a comedy should be, and that's good. Good start at the very least. The movie doesn't really wait too long before putting some action into it as a fight between Wolfgang and Porkchop(and gang) started quite early into the movie. The action scenes are just average actually despite Kevin Smith tried his best to employ some comedy into them.

As expected, things doesn't go too well for the bounty hunter and Fauntleroy has to take on the responsibility of avenging his father and probably retain his family's name as legit bounty hunter. The problem is...Fauntleroy isn't that bright of a person, so expect tons of stupid stuff from him. His assistant though - Petunia Flower played by Aubrey Plaza - is pretty amazing. She even saved Fauntleroy's life a few times. But before I proceed, I have to mention Ben Affleck. A good cameo performance from Affleck with some memorable insults.

After quite a solid amount of comedic action, which involve Fauntleroy constantly failing and Petunia saving the day on various occassions, Fauntleroy finally caught up with Porkchop for a final showdown. Again, more comedic action(after a kissing scene) and the movie wraps up there. I actually hope there could be more story to how Fauntleroy and Petunia find out where's Porkchop's base of operation. They kind of just do a lot of action stuff and then just get there, to the final destination.

Overall, the movie is simple and it is pretty clear how things will go so not many surprises or unique moments. In such case, the performance of various talents are important to how good the film will be. Well, I have to say the performance are pretty average for most part but Petunia Flower kind stands out among them as a very likable character. Eric Stonestreet's Porkchop is also a scene-stealer on various parts of the movie.

Overall, it's a decent movie. It probably won't stuck in your memory for time to come but it's an enjoyable ride. I give this one a 3.0 stars out of 5.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Misc. Information

- The so-so production value hurts the movie but it stays at 3.0 because of other enhancement. It's almost a 2.75 stars.

- With that amount of production budget, the two OSTs(theme song and another) actually improves the movie's overall quality as both songs are far better than other amateurish soundtracks.

- 50K of marketing just isn't enough, especially when the studio should be taking advantage of the current trend. The lack of marketing affects the box office performance as the movie misses many potential customers as they have not heard of the movie at all.

- GM's Note: You actually miscalculated the budget, pre-release should be 2,650,000, and I will try to re-do the budget after renegotiation next time.

- GM's Note: Try to renegotiate and cut off the initial talent cost so you have more budget to work on production and marketing. You are the boss there, don't always take the first offer from those greedy talents.

- GM's Note: Fauntleroy should be mentally handicapped but it isn't mentioned in the script. A bit of detail about this major trait of the protagonist could help to earn some points. With the current writing, I really can't see if Fauntleroy or not, I merely remember he's handicapped because of the pre-release post.

- GM's Note: I think two scenes with Ben Affleck are more than a cameo should be. I didn't penalize you this time but do note that a cameo appearance has to be very brief. Otherwise, it's a support(minor support is still support).

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Revenue: 5,500,000

Budget: 2,650,000

----------------------------

Gross Profit: 2,850,000

Post-release: 900,000

15% Bonus: 427,500

----------------------------

Net Profit: 1,522,500

Ninja Pirate Bear Studios' new capital = 3,000,000 + 1,522,500 = 4,522,500

Ultimately, your movie is overlooked in the cinema due to the lack of marketing budget. The rating isn't too bad so it could earn more. The good news is that since your movie is fairly cheap to make, you are still in the profit.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Impact

- Aubrey Plaza has gained a good amount of fanboy from her role. Aubrey Plaza's SP increased from 1.00 to 1.10.

- The usage of "porkchop" as an insult to fat people has increased due to the Eric Stonestreet's character. We are not sure if it's a good thing but it doesn't stop Eric Stonestreet's SP to from 1.20 to 1.30.

- Andy Samberg thinks he should try to be more than a comedy actor. He has decided that he would want a non-comedy for his next film. Is this a good move for him? We will see.
